1 Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨습니다.
2 “ Sanctify to me all the firstborn, whatever opens the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and of animal. It is mine.”Sanctify unto me all the first-born, whatsoever openeth the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and of beast: it is mine."이스라엘 자손 가운데 태를 처음 여는 모든 맏이는, 사람이든 짐승이든 다 나에게 거룩하게 구별하여라. 그것은 내 것이다."
3 Moses said to the people, “ Remember this day, in which you came out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand Yahweh brought you out from this place. No leavened bread shall be eaten.And Moses said unto the people, Remember this day, in which ye came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand Jehovah brought you out from this place: there shall no leavened bread be eaten.모세가 백성에게 말했습니다. "여러분이 이집트, 곧 종살이하던 집에서 나온 이 날을 기억하십시오. 여호와께서 강한 손으로 여러분을 이곳에서 이끌어 내셨으니, 누룩 넣은 빵을 먹어서는 안 됩니다.
4 Today you go out in the month Abib.This day ye go forth in the month Abib.여러분은 아빕월 오늘 나오는 것입니다.
5 It shall be, when Yahweh brings you into the land of the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Amorite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite, which he swore to your fathers to give you, a land flowing with milk and honey, that you shall keep this service in this month.And it shall be, when Jehovah shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Amorite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite, which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee, a land flowing with milk and honey, that thou shalt keep this service in this month.여호와께서 여러분의 조상들에게 주시겠다고 맹세하신 땅, 곧 가나안 사람과 헷 사람과 아모리 사람과 히위 사람과 여부스 사람의 땅, 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 그 땅으로 여러분을 인도하실 때에, 여러분은 이 달에 이 예식을 지켜야 합니다.
6 Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, and in the seventh day shall be a feast to Yahweh.Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, and in the seventh day shall be a feast to Jehovah.이레 동안 누룩 없는 빵을 먹고, 일곱째 날에는 여호와께 드리는 절기를 지키십시오.
7 Unleavened bread shall be eaten throughout the seven days; and no leavened bread shall be seen with you. No yeast shall be seen with you, within all your borders.Unleavened bread shall be eaten throughout the seven days; and there shall no leavened bread be seen with thee, neither shall there be leaven seen with thee, in all thy borders.이레 내내 누룩 없는 빵을 먹어야 하며, 여러분의 모든 지경 안에서 누룩 넣은 빵이 보여서도 안 되고 누룩이 보여서도 안 됩니다.
8 You shall tell your son in that day, saying, ‘ It is because of that which Yahweh did for me when I came out of Egypt.’And thou shalt tell thy son in that day, saying, It is because of that which Jehovah did for me when I came forth out of Egypt.그 날에 여러분은 자녀에게 이렇게 일러 주십시오. '이것은 내가 이집트에서 나올 때에 여호와께서 나를 위해 하신 일 때문이다.'
9 It shall be for a sign to you on your hand, and for a memorial between your eyes, that Yahweh’s law may be in your mouth; for with a strong hand Yahweh has brought you out of Egypt.And it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thy hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes, that the law of Jehovah may be in thy mouth: for with a strong hand hath Jehovah brought thee out of Egypt.이것이 여러분의 손에 표가 되고 두 눈 사이에 기념이 되어, 여호와의 율법이 여러분의 입에 있게 할 것입니다. 여호와께서 강한 손으로 여러분을 이집트에서 이끌어 내셨기 때문입니다.
10 You shall therefore keep this ordinance in its season from year to year.Thou shalt therefore keep this ordinance in its season from year to year.그러므로 여러분은 해마다 정한 때에 이 규례를 지켜야 합니다.
11 “ It shall be, when Yahweh brings you into the land of the Canaanite, as he swore to you and to your fathers, and will give it to you,And it shall be, when Jehovah shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanite, as he sware unto thee and to thy fathers, and shall give it thee,여호와께서 여러분과 여러분의 조상들에게 맹세하신 대로, 여러분을 가나안 사람의 땅으로 인도하여 그 땅을 여러분에게 주실 때에,
12 that you shall set apart to Yahweh all that opens the womb, and every firstborn that comes from an animal which you have. The males shall be Yahweh’s.that thou shalt set apart unto Jehovah all that openeth the womb, and every firstling which thou hast that cometh of a beast; the males shall be Jehovah’s.여러분은 태를 처음 여는 모든 것을 여호와께 구별하여 드려야 합니다. 여러분이 기르는 짐승에서 난 모든 맏배도 그러하며, 그 수컷들은 여호와의 것입니다.
13 Every firstborn of a donkey you shall redeem with a lamb; and if you will not redeem it, then you shall break its neck; and you shall redeem all the firstborn of man among your sons.And every firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb; and if thou wilt not redeem it, then thou shalt break its neck: and all the first-born of man among thy sons shalt thou redeem.나귀의 맏배는 모두 어린양으로 대속하고, 대속하지 않으려거든 그 목을 꺾으십시오. 여러분의 아들들 가운데 사람의 맏이는 모두 대속하여야 합니다.
14 It shall be, when your son asks you in time to come, saying, ‘ What is this?’ that you shall tell him, ‘ By strength of hand Yahweh brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage.And it shall be, when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What is this? that thou shalt say unto him, By strength of hand Jehovah brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage:훗날 여러분의 자녀가 '이것이 무슨 뜻입니까?' 하고 물으면, 여러분은 이렇게 대답하십시오. '여호와께서 강한 손으로 우리를 이집트, 곧 종살이하던 집에서 이끌어 내셨다.
15 When Pharaoh stubbornly refused to let us go, Yahweh killed all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man, and the firstborn of livestock. Therefore I sacrifice to Yahweh all that opens the womb, being males; but all the firstborn of my sons I redeem.’and it came to pass, when Pharaoh would hardly let us go, that Jehovah slew all the first-born in the land of Egypt, both the first-born of man, and the first-born of beast: therefore I sacrifice to Jehovah all that openeth the womb, being males; but all the first-born of my sons I redeem.바로가 우리를 좀처럼 내보내려 하지 않았을 때에, 여호와께서 이집트 땅의 모든 맏이를, 사람의 맏이부터 짐승의 맏배까지 다 치셨다. 그래서 나는 태를 처음 여는 모든 수컷을 여호와께 제물로 드리고, 내 아들들 가운데 맏이는 모두 대속하는 것이다.'
16 It shall be for a sign on your hand, and for symbols between your eyes; for by strength of hand Yahweh brought us out of Egypt.”And it shall be for a sign upon thy hand, and for frontlets between thine eyes: for by strength of hand Jehovah brought us forth out of Egypt.이것이 여러분의 손에 표가 되고 두 눈 사이에 표징이 될 것입니다. 여호와께서 강한 손으로 우리를 이집트에서 이끌어 내셨기 때문입니다."
17 When Pharaoh had let the people go, God didn’t lead them by the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, “ Lest perhaps the people change their minds when they see war, and they return to Egypt”;And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not by the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt:바로가 백성을 내보냈을 때에, 하나님께서는 블레셋 사람의 땅 길이 가까웠는데도 그 길로 그들을 인도하지 않으셨습니다. 하나님께서 "이 백성이 전쟁을 보면 마음을 바꾸어 이집트로 돌아갈까 한다" 하고 말씀하셨기 때문입니다.
18 but God led the people around by the way of the wilderness by the Red Sea; and the children of Israel went up armed out of the land of Egypt.but God led the people about, by the way of the wilderness by the Red Sea: and the children of Israel went up armed out of the land of Egypt.그래서 하나님께서는 백성을 광야 길, 곧 홍해 쪽으로 둘러 인도하셨습니다. 이스라엘 자손은 무장을 갖추고 이집트 땅에서 올라왔습니다.
19 Moses took the bones of Joseph with him, for he had made the children of Israel swear, saying, “God will surely visit you, and you shall carry up my bones away from here with you.”And Moses took the bones of Joseph with him: for he had straitly sworn the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you; and ye shall carry up my bones away hence with you.모세는 요셉의 유골을 가지고 나왔습니다. 요셉이 이스라엘 자손에게 굳게 맹세시키며 "하나님께서 반드시 여러분을 돌보실 것이니, 그때 여러분은 내 유골을 여기서 함께 가지고 올라가십시오" 하고 말했기 때문입니다.
20 They took their journey from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, in the edge of the wilderness.And they took their journey from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, in the edge of the wilderness.그들은 숙곳을 떠나 광야 끝에 있는 에담에 진을 쳤습니다.
21 Yahweh went before them by day in a pillar of cloud, to lead them on their way, and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light, that they might go by day and by night:And Jehovah went before them by day in a pillar of cloud, to lead them the way, and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; that they might go by day and by night:여호와께서는 낮에는 구름 기둥으로 그들 앞에 가시며 길을 인도하시고, 밤에는 불 기둥으로 그들에게 빛을 주셔서, 그들이 낮에도 밤에도 갈 수 있게 하셨습니다.
22 the pillar of cloud by day, and the pillar of fire by night, didn’t depart from before the people.the pillar of cloud by day, and the pillar of fire by night, departed not from before the people.낮에는 구름 기둥이, 밤에는 불 기둥이 백성 앞에서 떠나지 않았습니다.
