1 Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨습니다.
2 “ Speak to the children of Israel, that they turn back and encamp before Pihahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, before Baal Zephon. You shall encamp opposite it by the sea.Speak unto the children of Israel, that they turn back and encamp before Pi-hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, before Baal-zephon: over against it shall ye encamp by the sea."이스라엘 자손에게 일러라. 그들이 돌이켜 비하히롯 앞, 곧 믹돌과 바다 사이, 바알스본 맞은편에 진을 치게 하여라. 너희는 그 맞은편 바닷가에 진을 쳐라.
3 Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, ‘ They are entangled in the land. The wilderness has shut them in.’And Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, They are entangled in the land, the wilderness hath shut them in.그러면 파라오가 이스라엘 자손에 대해 이렇게 말할 것이다. '그들이 이 땅에서 헤매고 있구나. 광야가 그들을 가두어 버렸다.'
4 I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will follow after them; and I will get honor over Pharaoh, and over all his armies; and the Egyptians shall know that I am Yahweh.” They did so.And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he shall follow after them; and I will get me honor upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host: and the Egyptians shall know that I am Jehovah. And they did so.내가 파라오의 마음을 완악하게 할 것이니, 그가 그들을 뒤쫓을 것이다. 내가 파라오와 그의 모든 군대를 이겨 영광을 얻겠고, 이집트 사람들은 내가 여호와인 줄을 알게 될 것이다." 이스라엘 자손이 그대로 하였습니다.
5 The king of Egypt was told that the people had fled; and the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants was changed toward the people, and they said, “ What is this we have done, that we have let Israel go from serving us?”And it was told the king of Egypt that the people were fled: and the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants was changed towards the people, and they said, What is this we have done, that we have let Israel go from serving us?백성이 도망쳤다는 소식이 이집트 왕에게 전해지자, 파라오와 그 신하들의 마음이 백성을 향해 돌변하여 이렇게 말했습니다. "우리가 이스라엘을 종살이에서 놓아 보냈으니, 이게 도대체 무슨 짓인가?"
6 He prepared his chariot, and took his army with him;And he made ready his chariot, and took his people with him:그가 자기 병거를 준비하고 군대를 데리고 갔습니다.
7 and he took six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots of Egypt, with captains over all of them.and he took six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots of Egypt, and captains over all of them.그는 정예 병거 육백 대와 이집트의 모든 병거를 동원하였고, 그 모두에 지휘관을 두었습니다.
8 Yahweh hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued the children of Israel; for the children of Israel went out with a high hand.And Jehovah hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued after the children of Israel: for the children of Israel went out with a high hand.여호와께서 이집트 왕 파라오의 마음을 완악하게 하시니, 그가 이스라엘 자손을 뒤쫓았습니다. 이스라엘 자손은 당당하게 나아가고 있었습니다.
9 The Egyptians pursued them. All the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, his horsemen, and his army overtook them encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baal Zephon.And the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them encamping by the sea, beside Pi-hahiroth, before Baal-zephon.이집트 사람들, 곧 파라오의 모든 말과 병거와 기병과 군대가 그들을 뒤쫓아, 바닷가 비하히롯 곁 바알스본 앞에 진 친 그들을 따라잡았습니다.
10 When Pharaoh came near, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians were marching after them; and they were very afraid. The children of Israel cried out to Yahweh.And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians were marching after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto Jehovah.파라오가 가까이 다가오자, 이스라엘 자손이 눈을 들어 보니, 이집트 사람들이 자기들을 향해 진군해 오고 있었습니다. 그들은 몹시 두려워하며 여호와께 부르짖었습니다.
11 They said to Moses, “ Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you treated us this way, to bring us out of Egypt?And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to bring us forth out of Egypt?그들이 모세에게 말했습니다. "이집트에 무덤이 없어서 우리를 광야로 끌고 와 죽이려는 것입니까? 어찌하여 우리를 이집트에서 데리고 나와 이렇게 대하십니까?
12 Isn’t this the word that we spoke to you in Egypt, saying, ‘ Leave us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians’? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness.”Is not this the word that we spake unto thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it were better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness.우리가 이집트에서 '우리를 내버려 두어 이집트 사람들을 섬기게 하라'고 당신에게 한 말이 바로 이것 아닙니까? 광야에서 죽는 것보다 이집트 사람들을 섬기는 편이 우리에게 더 나았을 것입니다."
13 Moses said to the people, “Don’t be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of Yahweh, which he will work for you today; for you will never again see the Egyptians whom you have seen today.And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of Jehovah, which he will work for you to-day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to-day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.모세가 백성에게 말했습니다. "두려워하지 마십시오. 가만히 서서, 여호와께서 오늘 여러분을 위해 베푸실 구원을 보십시오. 오늘 여러분이 본 저 이집트 사람들을 다시는 영원히 보지 못할 것입니다.
14 Yahweh will fight for you, and you shall be still.”Jehovah will fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.여호와께서 여러분을 위해 싸우실 것이니, 여러분은 잠잠히 있으십시오."
15 Yahweh said to Moses, “ Why do you cry to me? Speak to the children of Israel, that they go forward.And Jehovah said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward.여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨습니다. "어찌하여 내게 부르짖느냐? 이스라엘 자손에게 일러 앞으로 나아가게 하여라.
16 Lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. Then the children of Israel shall go into the middle of the sea on dry ground.And lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thy hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go into the midst of the sea on dry ground.너는 네 지팡이를 들고 바다 위로 손을 내밀어 바다를 갈라라. 그러면 이스라엘 자손이 마른 땅을 밟고 바다 한가운데로 들어갈 것이다.
17 Behold, I myself will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they will go in after them. I will get myself honor over Pharaoh, and over all his armies, over his chariots, and over his horsemen.And I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall go in after them: and I will get me honor upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.내가, 보아라, 내가 이집트 사람들의 마음을 완악하게 할 것이니, 그들이 이스라엘 자손을 따라 들어갈 것이다. 그리하여 내가 파라오와 그의 모든 군대, 그의 병거와 기병을 이겨 영광을 얻겠다.
18 The Egyptians shall know that I am Yahweh when I have gotten myself honor over Pharaoh, over his chariots, and over his horsemen.”And the Egyptians shall know that I am Jehovah, when I have gotten me honor upon Pharaoh, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.내가 파라오와 그의 병거와 기병을 이겨 영광을 얻을 때에, 이집트 사람들은 내가 여호와인 줄을 알게 될 것이다."
19 The angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud moved from before them, and stood behind them.And the angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud removed from before them, and stood behind them:이스라엘 진영 앞에서 나아가던 하나님의 천사가 자리를 옮겨 그들 뒤로 가고, 구름기둥도 그들 앞에서 떠나 뒤에 섰습니다.
20 It came between the camp of Egypt and the camp of Israel. There was the cloud and the darkness, yet it gave light by night. One didn’t come near the other all night.and it came between the camp of Egypt and the camp of Israel; and there was the cloud and the darkness, yet gave it light by night: and the one came not near the other all the night.그것이 이집트 진영과 이스라엘 진영 사이에 임하니, 한쪽에는 구름과 어둠이 있고, 다른 쪽에는 밤을 밝히는 빛이 있어, 밤새도록 양쪽이 서로 가까이 가지 못했습니다.
21 Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and Yahweh caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and Jehovah caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all the night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.모세가 바다 위로 손을 내밀자, 여호와께서 밤새도록 강한 동풍으로 바다를 밀어내어 바다를 마른 땅이 되게 하시니, 물이 갈라졌습니다.
22 The children of Israel went into the middle of the sea on the dry ground; and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.이스라엘 자손이 마른 땅을 밟고 바다 한가운데로 들어가니, 물이 그들의 좌우에서 벽이 되었습니다.
23 The Egyptians pursued, and went in after them into the middle of the sea: all of Pharaoh’s horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.And the Egyptians pursued, and went in after them into the midst of the sea, all Pharaoh’s horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.이집트 사람들, 곧 파라오의 모든 말과 병거와 기병이 그들을 뒤쫓아 바다 한가운데로 따라 들어갔습니다.
24 In the morning watch, Yahweh looked out on the Egyptian army through the pillar of fire and of cloud, and confused the Egyptian army.And it came to pass in the morning watch, that Jehovah looked forth upon the host of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of cloud, and discomfited the host of the Egyptians.새벽녘에 여호와께서 불기둥과 구름기둥 가운데서 이집트 군대를 내려다보시고 그들을 혼란에 빠뜨리셨습니다.
25 He took off their chariot wheels, and they drove them heavily; so that the Egyptians said, “Let’s flee from the face of Israel, for Yahweh fights for them against the Egyptians!”And he took off their chariot wheels, and they drove them heavily; so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for Jehovah fighteth for them against the Egyptians.여호와께서 그들의 병거 바퀴를 벗겨 내시니, 병거가 무겁게 끌렸습니다. 그래서 이집트 사람들이 말했습니다. "이스라엘 앞에서 도망치자. 여호와께서 그들을 위해 우리 이집트 사람들과 싸우신다!"
26 Yahweh said to Moses, “ Stretch out your hand over the sea, that the waters may come again on the Egyptians, on their chariots, and on their horsemen.”And Jehovah said unto Moses, Stretch out thy hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen.여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨습니다. "바다 위로 네 손을 내밀어 물이 이집트 사람들과 그들의 병거와 기병 위로 다시 덮이게 하여라."
27 Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to its strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it. Yahweh overthrew the Egyptians in the middle of the sea.And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to its strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and Jehovah overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.모세가 바다 위로 손을 내밀자, 아침이 밝아 올 때에 바다가 본래의 힘으로 되돌아왔습니다. 이집트 사람들이 그것을 향해 도망쳤으나, 여호와께서 이집트 사람들을 바다 한가운데로 뒤엎으셨습니다.
28 The waters returned, and covered the chariots and the horsemen, even all Pharaoh’s army that went in after them into the sea. There remained not so much as one of them.And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, even all the host of Pharaoh that went in after them into the sea; there remained not so much as one of them.물이 되돌아와 병거와 기병을, 곧 그들을 따라 바다로 들어간 파라오의 모든 군대를 덮어 버렸습니다. 그들 가운데 한 사람도 남지 않았습니다.
29 But the children of Israel walked on dry land in the middle of the sea, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.But the children of Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea; and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.그러나 이스라엘 자손은 바다 한가운데 마른 땅을 밟고 걸었으며, 물이 그들의 좌우에서 벽이 되었습니다.
30 Thus Yahweh saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore.Thus Jehovah saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the sea-shore.이렇게 여호와께서 그날 이스라엘을 이집트 사람들의 손에서 구원하셨고, 이스라엘은 바닷가에 죽어 있는 이집트 사람들을 보았습니다.
31 Israel saw the great work which Yahweh did to the Egyptians, and the people feared Yahweh; and they believed in Yahweh and in his servant Moses.And Israel saw the great work which Jehovah did upon the Egyptians, and the people feared Jehovah: and they believed in Jehovah, and in his servant Moses.이스라엘은 여호와께서 이집트 사람들에게 행하신 그 큰 일을 보았고, 백성은 여호와를 경외하며 여호와와 그분의 종 모세를 믿었습니다.
