1 Yahweh said to Moses, “ Go in to Pharaoh, for I have hardened his heart and the heart of his servants, that I may show these my signs among them;And Jehovah said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh: for I have hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants, that I may show these my signs in the midst of them,여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다. "바로에게 들어가거라. 내가 그의 마음과 그의 신하들의 마음을 완강하게 한 것은, 내가 그들 가운데서 이 표징들을 보이려는 것이며,
2 and that you may tell in the hearing of your son, and of your son’s son, what things I have done to Egypt, and my signs which I have done among them; that you may know that I am Yahweh.”and that thou mayest tell in the ears of thy son, and of thy son’s son, what things I have wrought upon Egypt, and my signs which I have done among them; that ye may know that I am Jehovah.또 내가 이집트에 행한 일들과 그들 가운데서 행한 나의 표징들을 네가 네 아들과 네 손자가 듣는 데서 이야기하게 하려는 것이다. 그리하여 너희가 내가 여호와인 줄을 알게 하려는 것이다."
3 Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh, and said to him, “ This is what Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, says: ‘ How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? Let my people go, that they may serve me.And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and said unto him, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of the Hebrews, How long wilt thou refuse to humble thyself before me? let my people go, that they may serve me.모세와 아론이 바로에게 들어가 그에게 말하였다. "히브리 사람의 하나님 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하십니다. '네가 언제까지 내 앞에서 자신을 낮추기를 거부하겠느냐? 내 백성을 보내어 그들이 나를 섬기게 하여라.
4 Or else, if you refuse to let my people go, behold, tomorrow I will bring locusts into your country,Else, if thou refuse to let my people go, behold, to-morrow will I bring locusts into thy border:만일 네가 내 백성 보내기를 거부하면, 보아라, 내일 내가 메뚜기 떼를 네 땅에 들여보내겠다.
5 and they shall cover the surface of the earth, so that one won’t be able to see the earth. They shall eat the residue of that which has escaped, which remains to you from the hail, and shall eat every tree which grows for you out of the field.and they shall cover the face of the earth, so that one shall not be able to see the earth: and they shall eat the residue of that which is escaped, which remaineth unto you from the hail, and shall eat every tree which groweth for you out of the field:그것들이 땅의 표면을 덮어서 땅이 보이지 않게 될 것이다. 또 그것들은 우박을 피해 너희에게 남은 그 나머지를 먹어 치우고, 들에서 너희를 위해 자라는 모든 나무를 먹어 버릴 것이다.
6 Your houses shall be filled, and the houses of all your servants, and the houses of all the Egyptians, as neither your fathers nor your fathers’ fathers have seen, since the day that they were on the earth to this day.’” He turned, and went out from Pharaoh.and thy houses shall be filled, and the houses of all thy servants, and the houses of all the Egyptians; as neither thy fathers nor thy fathers’ fathers have seen, since the day that they were upon the earth unto this day. And he turned, and went out from Pharaoh.그것들이 네 집과 네 모든 신하의 집과 모든 이집트 사람의 집을 가득 채울 것이니, 이는 네 조상이나 네 조상의 조상이 땅 위에 있던 날부터 오늘까지 보지 못한 일이다.'" 그러고 나서 그는 돌아서서 바로 앞에서 나갔다.
7 Pharaoh’s servants said to him, “ How long will this man be a snare to us? Let the men go, that they may serve Yahweh, their God. Don’t you yet know that Egypt is destroyed?”And Pharaoh’s servants said unto him, How long shall this man be a snare unto us? let the men go, that they may serve Jehovah their God: knowest thou not yet that Egypt is destroyed?바로의 신하들이 그에게 말하였다. "언제까지 이 사람이 우리에게 올무가 되어야 합니까? 그 사람들을 보내어 그들의 하나님 여호와를 섬기게 하십시오. 이집트가 망한 것을 아직도 모르십니까?"
8 Moses and Aaron were brought again to Pharaoh, and he said to them, “ Go, serve Yahweh your God; but who are those who will go?”And Moses and Aaron were brought again unto Pharaoh: and he said unto them, Go, serve Jehovah your God; but who are they that shall go?모세와 아론이 다시 바로에게로 불려 갔다. 바로가 그들에게 말하였다. "가서 너희 하나님 여호와를 섬겨라. 그런데 갈 사람들이 누구냐?"
9 Moses said, “ We will go with our young and with our old. We will go with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds; for we must hold a feast to Yahweh.”And Moses said, We will go with our young and with our old; with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds will we go; for we must hold a feast unto Jehovah.모세가 말하였다. "우리는 우리의 어린아이와 우리의 노인, 우리의 아들과 우리의 딸, 우리의 양 떼와 우리의 소 떼와 함께 가겠습니다. 우리가 여호와께 절기를 지켜야 하기 때문입니다."
10 He said to them, “ Yahweh be with you if I let you go with your little ones! See, evil is clearly before your faces.And he said unto them, So be Jehovah with you, as I will let you go, and your little ones: look to it; for evil is before you.바로가 그들에게 말하였다. "내가 너희와 너희 어린것들을 보낸다면, 여호와께서 너희와 함께 계시기를 바란다! 보아라, 너희 얼굴 앞에 분명히 악한 의도가 있다.
11 Not so! Go now you who are men, and serve Yahweh; for that is what you desire!” Then they were driven out from Pharaoh’s presence.Not so: go now ye that are men, and serve Jehovah; for that is what ye desire. And they were driven out from Pharaoh’s presence.그렇게는 안 된다! 남자인 너희만 가서 여호와를 섬겨라. 그것이 너희가 원하는 것이 아니냐!" 그러고는 그들을 바로 앞에서 쫓아냈다.
12 Yahweh said to Moses, “ Stretch out your hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come up on the land of Egypt, and eat every herb of the land, even all that the hail has left.”And Jehovah said unto Moses, Stretch out thy hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come up upon the land of Egypt, and eat every herb of the land, even all that the hail hath left.여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다. "네 손을 이집트 땅 위로 내밀어 메뚜기 떼가 이집트 땅에 올라오게 하여라. 그래서 그것들이 우박이 남긴 그 땅의 모든 풀까지 다 먹어 치우게 하여라."
13 Moses stretched out his rod over the land of Egypt, and Yahweh brought an east wind on the land all that day, and all night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.And Moses stretched forth his rod over the land of Egypt, and Jehovah brought an east wind upon the land all that day, and all the night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.모세가 이집트 땅 위로 그의 지팡이를 내밀자, 여호와께서 그날 온종일과 온 밤 동안 그 땅에 동풍을 불게 하셨다. 그리고 아침이 되자 동풍이 메뚜기 떼를 몰아왔다.
14 The locusts went up over all the land of Egypt, and rested in all the borders of Egypt. They were very grievous. Before them there were no such locusts as they, nor will there ever be again.And the locusts went up over all the land of Egypt, and rested in all the borders of Egypt; very grievous were they; before them there were no such locusts as they, neither after them shall be such.메뚜기 떼가 온 이집트 땅 위로 올라와 이집트의 모든 경내에 내려앉았다. 그것들은 매우 심하였으니, 그 전에도 그런 메뚜기 떼가 없었고 그 후에도 그러할 것이 없을 것이다.
15 For they covered the surface of the whole earth, so that the land was darkened, and they ate every herb of the land, and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left. There remained nothing green, either tree or herb of the field, through all the land of Egypt.For they covered the face of the whole earth, so that the land was darkened; and they did eat every herb of the land, and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left: and there remained not any green thing, either tree or herb of the field, through all the land of Egypt.그것들이 온 땅의 표면을 덮어서 땅이 어두워졌다. 그것들은 우박이 남긴 그 땅의 모든 풀과 나무의 모든 열매를 다 먹어 치웠다. 온 이집트 땅에 나무든 들풀이든 푸른 것이라고는 아무것도 남지 않았다.
16 Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron in haste, and he said, “ I have sinned against Yahweh your God, and against you.Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron in haste; and he said, I have sinned against Jehovah your God, and against you.그러자 바로가 급히 모세와 아론을 불러 말하였다. "내가 너희 하나님 여호와께 죄를 지었고, 너희에게도 죄를 지었다.
17 Now therefore please forgive my sin again, and pray to Yahweh your God, that he may also take away from me this death.”Now therefore forgive, I pray thee, my sin only this once, and entreat Jehovah your God, that he may take away from me this death only.그러니 이제 제발 이번만 내 죄를 용서하고, 너희 하나님 여호와께 기도하여 그분께서 이 죽음만은 내게서 거두어 가시게 하여라."
18 Moses went out from Pharaoh, and prayed to Yahweh.And he went out from Pharaoh, and entreated Jehovah.모세가 바로에게서 나가 여호와께 기도하였다.
19 Yahweh sent an exceedingly strong west wind, which took up the locusts, and drove them into the Red Sea. There remained not one locust in all the borders of Egypt.And Jehovah turned an exceeding strong west wind, which took up the locusts, and drove them into the Red Sea; there remained not one locust in all the border of Egypt.여호와께서 바람을 돌이켜 매우 강한 서풍이 불게 하시니, 그것이 메뚜기 떼를 들어 올려 홍해로 몰아넣었다. 이집트의 온 경내에 메뚜기가 한 마리도 남지 않았다.
20 But Yahweh hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he didn’t let the children of Israel go.But Jehovah hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he did not let the children of Israel go.그러나 여호와께서 바로의 마음을 완강하게 하셨고, 그는 이스라엘 자손을 보내지 않았다.
21 Yahweh said to Moses, “ Stretch out your hand toward the sky, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt.”And Jehovah said unto Moses, Stretch out thy hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt.여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다. "네 손을 하늘을 향해 내밀어 이집트 땅 위에 어둠이 임하게 하여라. 곧 만질 수 있을 만한 어둠이 임하게 하여라."
22 Moses stretched out his hand toward the sky, and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt for three days.And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days;모세가 하늘을 향해 그의 손을 내밀자, 온 이집트 땅에 사흘 동안 짙은 어둠이 있었다.
23 They didn’t see one another, and nobody rose from his place for three days; but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.they saw not one another, neither rose any one from his place for three days: but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.사흘 동안 사람들이 서로를 보지 못하였고, 아무도 자기 자리에서 일어나지 못하였다. 그러나 이스라엘 자손이 사는 모든 곳에는 빛이 있었다.
24 Pharaoh called to Moses, and said, “ Go, serve Yahweh. Only let your flocks and your herds stay behind. Let your little ones also go with you.”And Pharaoh called unto Moses, and said, Go ye, serve Jehovah; only let your flocks and your herds be stayed: let your little ones also go with you.바로가 모세를 불러 말하였다. "가서 여호와를 섬겨라. 다만 너희 양 떼와 소 떼만은 남겨 두어라. 너희 어린것들도 너희와 함께 가도 좋다."
25 Moses said, “ You must also give into our hand sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice to Yahweh our God.And Moses said, Thou must also give into our hand sacrifices and burnt-offerings, that we may sacrifice unto Jehovah our God.모세가 말하였다. "임금님께서도 우리 손에 희생제물과 번제물을 내주셔서 우리가 우리 하나님 여호와께 제사를 드릴 수 있게 하셔야 합니다.
26 Our livestock also shall go with us. Not a hoof shall be left behind, for of it we must take to serve Yahweh our God; and we don’t know with what we must serve Yahweh, until we come there.”Our cattle also shall go with us; there shall not a hoof be left behind: for thereof must we take to serve Jehovah our God; and we know not with what we must serve Jehovah, until we come thither.우리의 가축도 우리와 함께 가야 합니다. 발굽 하나도 남겨 둘 수 없습니다. 우리가 우리 하나님 여호와를 섬기는 데 그중에서 가져다 써야 하기 때문입니다. 또 우리가 그곳에 이르기까지는 무엇으로 여호와를 섬길지 알지 못합니다."
27 But Yahweh hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he wouldn’t let them go.But Jehovah hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he would not let them go.그러나 여호와께서 바로의 마음을 완강하게 하셨고, 그는 그들을 보내려 하지 않았다.
28 Pharaoh said to him, “ Get away from me! Be careful to see my face no more; for in the day you see my face you shall die!”And Pharaoh said unto him, Get thee from me, take heed to thyself, see my face no more; for in the day thou seest my face thou shalt die.바로가 그에게 말하였다. "내게서 물러가라! 다시는 내 얼굴을 보지 않도록 조심하여라. 네가 내 얼굴을 보는 날에는 죽을 것이다!"
29 Moses said, “ You have spoken well. I will see your face again no more.”And Moses said, Thou hast spoken well; I will see thy face again no more.모세가 말하였다. "임금님께서 옳게 말씀하셨습니다. 제가 다시는 임금님의 얼굴을 보지 않겠습니다."
