1 He said to Moses, “ Come up to Yahweh, you, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship from a distance.And he said unto Moses, Come up unto Jehovah, thou, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship ye afar off:여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다. "너는 아론과 나답과 아비후와 이스라엘 장로 일흔 명과 함께 여호와께로 올라오너라. 그리고 멀찍이 떨어져서 경배하여라.
2 Moses alone shall come near to Yahweh, but they shall not come near. The people shall not go up with him.”and Moses alone shall come near unto Jehovah; but they shall not come near; neither shall the people go up with him.모세 너만 홀로 여호와께 가까이 나아오고, 다른 이들은 가까이 오지 말며, 백성도 너와 함께 올라오지 못한다."
3 Moses came and told the people all Yahweh’s words, and all the ordinances; and all the people answered with one voice, and said, “ All the words which Yahweh has spoken will we do.”And Moses came and told the people all the words of Jehovah, and all the ordinances: and all the people answered with one voice, and said, All the words which Jehovah hath spoken will we do.모세가 내려와 여호와의 모든 말씀과 모든 규례를 백성에게 전하자, 온 백성이 한목소리로 대답하여 말했다. "여호와께서 하신 모든 말씀을 우리가 그대로 행하겠습니다."
4 Moses wrote all Yahweh’s words, then rose up early in the morning and built an altar at the base of the mountain, with twelve pillars for the twelve tribes of Israel.And Moses wrote all the words of Jehovah, and rose up early in the morning, and builded an altar under the mount, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel.모세는 여호와의 모든 말씀을 기록하였다. 그는 아침 일찍 일어나 산기슭에 제단을 쌓고, 이스라엘 열두 지파를 위하여 기둥 열둘을 세웠다.
5 He sent young men of the children of Israel, who offered burnt offerings and sacrificed peace offerings of cattle to Yahweh.And he sent young men of the children of Israel, who offered burnt-offerings, and sacrificed peace-offerings of oxen unto Jehovah.그는 이스라엘 자손 가운데 젊은이들을 보내어, 그들이 여호와께 번제를 드리고 소로 화목제를 드리게 하였다.
6 Moses took half of the blood and put it in basins, and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.And Moses took half of the blood, and put it in basins; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.모세는 그 피의 절반을 가져다가 대야에 담고, 나머지 절반은 제단에 뿌렸다.
7 He took the book of the covenant and read it in the hearing of the people, and they said, “ We will do all that Yahweh has said, and be obedient.”And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that Jehovah hath spoken will we do, and be obedient.그가 언약의 책을 가져다가 백성이 듣는 데서 읽어 주자, 그들이 말했다. "여호와께서 하신 모든 말씀을 우리가 행하고 순종하겠습니다."
8 Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, “ Look, this is the blood of the covenant, which Yahweh has made with you concerning all these words.”And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which Jehovah hath made with you concerning all these words.모세가 그 피를 가져다가 백성에게 뿌리며 말했다. "보십시오, 이것은 여호와께서 이 모든 말씀에 근거하여 여러분과 맺으신 언약의 피입니다."
9 Then Moses, Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel went up.Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel:그 후 모세와 아론과 나답과 아비후와 이스라엘 장로 일흔 명이 올라갔다.
10 They saw the God of Israel. Under his feet was like a paved work of sapphire stone, like the skies for clearness.and they saw the God of Israel; and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of sapphire stone, and as it were the very heaven for clearness.그들이 이스라엘의 하나님을 뵈었다. 그분의 발아래에는 사파이어 보석을 깐 듯한 것이 있었는데, 그 맑기가 하늘과 같았다.
11 He didn’t lay his hand on the nobles of the children of Israel. They saw God, and ate and drank.And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: and they beheld God, and did eat and drink.하나님은 이스라엘 자손의 귀인들에게 손을 대지 않으셨다. 그들은 하나님을 뵙고 먹고 마셨다.
12 Yahweh said to Moses, “ Come up to me on the mountain, and stay here, and I will give you the stone tablets with the law and the commands that I have written, that you may teach them.”And Jehovah said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee the tables of stone, and the law and the commandment, which I have written, that thou mayest teach them.여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다. "너는 산으로 올라와 내게로 와서 여기 머물러라. 그러면 내가 네게 돌판을 주겠다. 곧 내가 그들을 가르치도록 기록한 율법과 계명이 적힌 것이다."
13 Moses rose up with Joshua, his servant, and Moses went up onto God’s Mountain.And Moses rose up, and Joshua his minister: and Moses went up into the mount of God.모세가 자기 시종 여호수아와 함께 일어나, 하나님의 산으로 올라갔다.
14 He said to the elders, “ Wait here for us, until we come again to you. Behold, Aaron and Hur are with you. Whoever is involved in a dispute can go to them.”And he said unto the elders, Tarry ye here for us, until we come again unto you: and, behold, Aaron and Hur are with you: whosoever hath a cause, let him come near unto them.그가 장로들에게 말했다. "우리가 여러분에게 다시 돌아올 때까지 여기서 기다리십시오. 보십시오, 아론과 훌이 여러분과 함께 있으니, 누구든 분쟁할 일이 있는 사람은 그들에게 가면 됩니다."
15 Moses went up on the mountain, and the cloud covered the mountain.And Moses went up into the mount, and the cloud covered the mount.모세가 산으로 올라가자, 구름이 그 산을 덮었다.
16 Yahweh’s glory settled on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days. The seventh day he called to Moses out of the middle of the cloud.And the glory of Jehovah abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days: and the seventh day he called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud.여호와의 영광이 시내 산 위에 머물렀고, 구름이 엿새 동안 그 산을 덮었다. 일곱째 날에 그분께서 구름 가운데서 모세를 부르셨다.
17 The appearance of Yahweh’s glory was like devouring fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Israel.And the appearance of the glory of Jehovah was like devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel.여호와의 영광이 나타난 모습은 이스라엘 자손의 눈에 산꼭대기에서 타오르는 불처럼 보였다.
18 Moses entered into the middle of the cloud, and went up on the mountain; and Moses was on the mountain forty days and forty nights.And Moses entered into the midst of the cloud, and went up into the mount: and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights.모세가 구름 가운데로 들어가 산으로 올라갔다. 모세는 사십 일 밤낮을 그 산에 있었다.
