2 The whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron in the wilderness;And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron in the wilderness:이스라엘 자손의 온 회중이 그 광야에서 모세와 아론을 향해 불평했다.
3 and the children of Israel said to them, “ We wish that we had died by Yahweh’s hand in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the meat pots, when we ate our fill of bread, for you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.”and the children of Israel said unto them, Would that we had died by the hand of Jehovah in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh-pots, when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.이스라엘 자손이 그들에게 말했다. "우리가 이집트 땅에서 여호와의 손에 죽었더라면 좋았을 것이다. 그때 우리는 고기 가마 곁에 앉아 빵을 배불리 먹었는데, 당신들은 이 온 무리를 굶겨 죽이려고 우리를 이 광야로 끌어냈다."
4 Then Yahweh said to Moses, “ Behold, I will rain bread from the sky for you, and the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in my law or not.Then said Jehovah unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or not.그러자 여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다. "보아라, 내가 너희를 위해 하늘에서 빵을 비처럼 내리겠다. 백성은 나가서 날마다 하루치를 거두어야 한다. 이로써 그들이 내 율법을 따라 행하는지 아닌지 시험하겠다.
5 It shall come to pass on the sixth day, that they shall prepare that which they bring in, and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.”And it shall come to pass on the sixth day, that they shall prepare that which they bring in, and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.그리고 여섯째 날에는 그들이 거두어 들인 것을 준비할 터인데, 날마다 거두는 것의 두 배가 될 것이다."
6 Moses and Aaron said to all the children of Israel, “ At evening, you shall know that Yahweh has brought you out from the land of Egypt.And Moses and Aaron said unto all the children of Israel, At even, then ye shall know that Jehovah hath brought you out from the land of Egypt;모세와 아론이 모든 이스라엘 자손에게 말했다. "저녁이 되면 여호와께서 너희를 이집트 땅에서 인도해 내셨음을 알게 될 것이다.
7 In the morning, you shall see Yahweh’s glory; because he hears your murmurings against Yahweh. Who are we, that you murmur against us?”and in the morning, then ye shall see the glory of Jehovah; for that he heareth your murmurings against Jehovah: and what are we, that ye murmur against us?또 아침이 되면 너희가 여호와의 영광을 보게 될 것이다. 여호와께서 그분을 향한 너희의 불평을 들으셨기 때문이다. 우리가 누구이기에 너희가 우리를 향해 불평하느냐?"
8 Moses said, “ Now Yahweh will give you meat to eat in the evening, and in the morning bread to satisfy you, because Yahweh hears your murmurings which you murmur against him. And who are we? Your murmurings are not against us, but against Yahweh.”And Moses said, This shall be, when Jehovah shall give you in the evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for that Jehovah heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against him: and what are we? your murmurings are not against us, but against Jehovah.모세가 또 말했다. "여호와께서 저녁에는 너희에게 먹을 고기를 주시고 아침에는 빵을 배불리 주실 것이다. 이는 여호와께서 그분을 향해 너희가 쏟아 놓은 불평을 들으셨기 때문이다. 우리가 누구냐? 너희의 불평은 우리를 향한 것이 아니라 여호와를 향한 것이다."
9 Moses said to Aaron, “ Tell all the congregation of the children of Israel, ‘ Come close to Yahweh, for he has heard your murmurings.’”And Moses said unto Aaron, Say unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, Come near before Jehovah; for he hath heard your murmurings.모세가 아론에게 말했다. "이스라엘 자손의 온 회중에게 이렇게 말하시오. '여호와 앞으로 가까이 나아오너라. 그분이 너희의 불평을 들으셨다.'"
10 As Aaron spoke to the whole congregation of the children of Israel, they looked toward the wilderness, and behold, Yahweh’s glory appeared in the cloud.And it came to pass, as Aaron spake unto the whole congregation of the children of Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness, and, behold, the glory of Jehovah appeared in the cloud.아론이 이스라엘 자손의 온 회중에게 말하고 있을 때, 그들이 광야 쪽을 바라보니, 보라, 여호와의 영광이 구름 가운데 나타났다.
11 Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.
12 “ I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel. Speak to them, saying, ‘ At evening you shall eat meat, and in the morning you shall be filled with bread. Then you will know that I am Yahweh your God.’”I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel: speak unto them, saying, At even ye shall eat flesh, and in the morning ye shall be filled with bread: and ye shall know that I am Jehovah your God."내가 이스라엘 자손의 불평을 들었다. 그들에게 이렇게 말하여라. '너희가 저녁에는 고기를 먹고 아침에는 빵으로 배부르게 될 것이다. 그러면 너희는 내가 너희 하나님 여호와임을 알게 될 것이다.'"
13 In the evening, quail came up and covered the camp; and in the morning the dew lay around the camp.And it came to pass at even, that the quails came up, and covered the camp: and in the morning the dew lay round about the camp.저녁이 되니 메추라기가 올라와 진을 덮었고, 아침에는 이슬이 진 주위에 내려 있었다.
14 When the dew that lay had gone, behold, on the surface of the wilderness was a small round thing, small as the frost on the ground.And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness a small round thing, small as the hoar-frost on the ground.내려 있던 이슬이 걷히자, 보라, 광야 표면에 작고 둥근 것이 있었는데, 땅에 내린 서리처럼 작았다.
15 When the children of Israel saw it, they said to one another, “ What is it?” For they didn’t know what it was. Moses said to them, “ It is the bread which Yahweh has given you to eat.And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, What is it? for they knew not what it was. And Moses said unto them, It is the bread which Jehovah hath given you to eat.이스라엘 자손이 그것을 보고 서로 말했다. "이게 무엇이냐?" 그들은 그것이 무엇인지 알지 못했기 때문이다. 모세가 그들에게 말했다. "이것은 여호와께서 너희에게 먹으라고 주신 빵이다.
16 This is the thing which Yahweh has commanded: ‘ Gather of it everyone according to his eating; an omer a head, according to the number of your persons, you shall take it, every man for those who are in his tent.’”This is the thing which Jehovah hath commanded, Gather ye of it every man according to his eating; an omer a head, according to the number of your persons, shall ye take it, every man for them that are in his tent.여호와께서 명령하신 것은 이러하다. '각 사람은 자기가 먹을 만큼 그것을 거두어라. 너희 사람 수효대로 한 사람에 한 오멜씩, 각자 자기 천막에 있는 사람들을 위해 거두어라.'"
17 The children of Israel did so, and some gathered more, some less.And the children of Israel did so, and gathered some more, some less.이스라엘 자손이 그대로 행하여, 더 거둔 자도 있고 덜 거둔 자도 있었다.
18 When they measured it with an omer, he who gathered much had nothing over, and he who gathered little had no lack. They each gathered according to his eating.And when they measured it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his eating.그러나 그들이 한 오멜로 그것을 되어 보니, 많이 거둔 자도 남는 것이 없고 적게 거둔 자도 모자라는 것이 없었다. 각자 자기가 먹을 만큼 거두었던 것이다.
19 Moses said to them, “ Let no one leave of it until the morning.”And Moses said unto them, Let no man leave of it till the morning.모세가 그들에게 말했다. "아무도 그것을 아침까지 남겨 두지 말라."
20 Notwithstanding they didn’t listen to Moses, but some of them left of it until the morning, so it bred worms and became foul; and Moses was angry with them.Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto Moses; but some of them left of it until the morning, and it bred worms, and became foul: and Moses was wroth with them.그러나 그들은 모세의 말을 듣지 않고 더러는 그것을 아침까지 남겨 두었더니, 거기에 벌레가 생기고 악취가 났다. 그래서 모세가 그들에게 화를 냈다.
21 They gathered it morning by morning, everyone according to his eating. When the sun grew hot, it melted.And they gathered it morning by morning, every man according to his eating: and when the sun waxed hot, it melted.그들은 아침마다 각자 먹을 만큼 그것을 거두었고, 해가 뜨거워지면 그것은 녹아 버렸다.
22 On the sixth day, they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for each one; and all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses.And it came to pass, that on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for each one: and all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses.여섯째 날에는 그들이 빵을 두 배로, 곧 한 사람에 두 오멜씩 거두었다. 회중의 모든 지도자가 와서 모세에게 알렸다.
23 He said to them, “ This is that which Yahweh has spoken, ‘ Tomorrow is a solemn rest, a holy Sabbath to Yahweh. Bake that which you want to bake, and boil that which you want to boil; and all that remains over lay up for yourselves to be kept until the morning.’”And he said unto them, This is that which Jehovah hath spoken, To-morrow is a solemn rest, a holy sabbath unto Jehovah: bake that which ye will bake, and boil that which ye will boil; and all that remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.모세가 그들에게 말했다. "이것은 여호와께서 말씀하신 것이다. '내일은 엄숙한 안식이요, 여호와께 거룩한 안식일이다. 구울 것은 굽고 삶을 것은 삶아라. 그리고 남는 것은 모두 아침까지 보관하도록 너희를 위해 간수해 두어라.'"
24 They laid it up until the morning, as Moses ordered, and it didn’t become foul, and there were no worms in it.And they laid it up till the morning, as Moses bade: and it did not become foul, neither was there any worm therein.그들이 모세가 명한 대로 그것을 아침까지 간수했더니, 악취가 나지도 않고 벌레가 생기지도 않았다.
25 Moses said, “Eat that today, for today is a Sabbath to Yahweh. Today you shall not find it in the field.And Moses said, Eat that to-day; for to-day is a sabbath unto Jehovah: to-day ye shall not find it in the field.모세가 말했다. "오늘은 그것을 먹어라. 오늘은 여호와께 안식일이기 때문이다. 오늘은 너희가 들에서 그것을 찾지 못할 것이다.
26 Six days you shall gather it, but on the seventh day is the Sabbath. In it there shall be none.”Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day is the sabbath, in it there shall be none.너희는 엿새 동안 그것을 거두어라. 그러나 일곱째 날은 안식일이니, 그날에는 그것이 없을 것이다."
27 On the seventh day, some of the people went out to gather, and they found none.And it came to pass on the seventh day, that there went out some of the people to gather, and they found none.일곱째 날에 백성 가운데 더러가 거두러 나갔으나 아무것도 찾지 못했다.
28 Yahweh said to Moses, “ How long do you refuse to keep my commandments and my laws?And Jehovah said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws?여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다. "너희가 언제까지 내 계명과 내 율법 지키기를 거부하겠느냐?
29 Behold, because Yahweh has given you the Sabbath, therefore he gives you on the sixth day the bread of two days. Everyone stay in his place. Let no one go out of his place on the seventh day.”See, for that Jehovah hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.보아라, 여호와가 너희에게 안식일을 주었으니, 그러므로 여섯째 날에 너희에게 이틀치 빵을 주는 것이다. 각자 자기 자리에 머물고, 일곱째 날에는 아무도 자기 처소에서 나가지 말라."
30 So the people rested on the seventh day.So the people rested on the seventh day.그래서 백성은 일곱째 날에 쉬었다.
31 The house of Israel called its name “ Manna”, and it was like coriander seed, white; and its taste was like wafers with honey.And the house of Israel called the name thereof Manna: and it was like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey.이스라엘 집은 그것의 이름을 만나라고 불렀다. 그것은 고수 씨와 같고 빛깔이 희며, 그 맛은 꿀 섞은 과자 같았다.
32 Moses said, “ This is the thing which Yahweh has commanded, ‘Let an omer-full of it be kept throughout your generations, that they may see the bread with which I fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you out of the land of Egypt.’”And Moses said, This is the thing which Jehovah hath commanded, Let an omerful of it be kept throughout your generations, that they may see the bread wherewith I fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you forth from the land of Egypt.모세가 말했다. "이것은 여호와께서 명령하신 것이다. '만나 한 오멜을 너희 대대로 간수하여, 내가 너희를 이집트 땅에서 인도해 낼 때 광야에서 너희를 먹인 그 빵을 그들이 보게 하여라.'"
33 Moses said to Aaron, “ Take a pot, and put an omer-full of manna in it, and lay it up before Yahweh, to be kept throughout your generations.”And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a pot, and put an omerful of manna therein, and lay it up before Jehovah, to be kept throughout your generations.모세가 아론에게 말했다. "항아리 하나를 가져다가 그 안에 만나 한 오멜을 담아 여호와 앞에 두어, 너희 대대로 간수하시오."
34 As Yahweh commanded Moses, so Aaron laid it up before the Testimony, to be kept.As Jehovah commanded Moses, so Aaron laid it up before the Testimony, to be kept.여호와께서 모세에게 명하신 대로, 아론이 그것을 증거궤 앞에 두어 간수했다.
35 The children of Israel ate the manna forty years, until they came to an inhabited land. They ate the manna until they came to the borders of the land of Canaan.And the children of Israel did eat the manna forty years, until they came to a land inhabited; they did eat the manna, until they came unto the borders of the land of Canaan.이스라엘 자손은 사람이 사는 땅에 이르기까지 사십 년 동안 만나를 먹었다. 그들은 가나안 땅 경계에 이르기까지 만나를 먹었다.
36 Now an omer is one tenth of an ephah.Now an omer is the tenth part of an ephah.한 오멜은 한 에바의 십분의 일이다.
