1 Then the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph came near. These are the names of his daughters: Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.Then drew near the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph; and these are the names of his daughters: Mahlah, Noah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah.그때에 슬로브핫의 딸들이 나아왔습니다. 슬로브핫은 헤벨의 아들이요, 헤벨은 길르앗의 아들이며, 길르앗은 마길의 아들이고, 마길은 므낫세의 아들인데, 므낫세는 요셉의 아들로서, 이들은 므낫세 가문에 속한 사람들이었습니다. 그의 딸들의 이름은 말라와 노아와 호글라와 밀가와 디르사였습니다.

4 Why should the name of our father be taken away from among his family, because he had no son? 5 Moses brought their cause before Yahweh.And Moses brought their cause before Jehovah.모세가 그들의 사정을 여호와 앞에 가지고 나아갔습니다.
6 Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨습니다.
7 “ The daughters of Zelophehad speak right. You shall surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their father’s brothers. You shall cause the inheritance of their father to pass to them.The daughters of Zelophehad speak right: thou shalt surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their father’s brethren; and thou shalt cause the inheritance of their father to pass unto them."슬로브핫의 딸들의 말이 옳다. 너는 반드시 그들의 아버지의 형제들 가운데서 그들에게 기업의 소유를 주어야 하며, 그들의 아버지의 기업을 그들에게 넘겨주어야 한다.
8 You shall speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘ If a man dies, and has no son, then you shall cause his inheritance to pass to his daughter.And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a man die, and have no son, then ye shall cause his inheritance to pass unto his daughter.너는 이스라엘 자손에게 이렇게 말하여라. '어떤 사람이 죽었는데 아들이 없으면, 그의 기업을 그의 딸에게 넘겨주어라.
9 If he has no daughter, then you shall give his inheritance to his brothers.And if he have no daughter, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his brethren.만일 딸도 없으면, 그의 기업을 그의 형제들에게 주어라.
10 If he has no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance to his father’s brothers.And if he have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his father’s brethren.만일 형제도 없으면, 그의 기업을 그의 아버지의 형제들에게 주어라.
11 If his father has no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance to his kinsman who is next to him of his family, and he shall possess it. This shall be a statute and ordinance for the children of Israel, as Yahweh commanded Moses.’”And if his father have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his kinsman that is next to him of his family, and he shall possess it: and it shall be unto the children of Israel a statute and ordinance, as Jehovah commanded Moses.만일 그의 아버지에게 형제가 없으면, 그의 기업을 그 가문에서 그에게 가장 가까운 친족에게 주어 그가 그것을 소유하게 하여라. 이것은 여호와께서 모세에게 명하신 대로, 이스라엘 자손에게 법도와 규례가 될 것이다.'"
12 Yahweh said to Moses, “ Go up into this mountain of Abarim, and see the land which I have given to the children of Israel.And Jehovah said unto Moses, Get thee up into this mountain of Abarim, and behold the land which I have given unto the children of Israel.여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨습니다. "이 아바림 산에 올라가서 내가 이스라엘 자손에게 준 땅을 바라보아라.
13 When you have seen it, you also shall be gathered to your people, as Aaron your brother was gathered;And when thou hast seen it, thou also shalt be gathered unto thy people, as Aaron thy brother was gathered;네가 그 땅을 본 뒤에는, 네 형 아론이 그의 백성에게로 돌아간 것처럼, 너도 네 백성에게로 돌아가게 될 것이다.
14 because in the strife of the congregation, you rebelled against my word in the wilderness of Zin, to honor me as holy at the waters before their eyes.” ( These are the waters of Meribah of Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.)because ye rebelled against my word in the wilderness of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify me at the waters before their eyes. 15 Moses spoke to Yahweh, saying,And Moses spake unto Jehovah, saying,모세가 여호와께 말씀드렸습니다.
16 “ Let Yahweh, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation,Let Jehovah, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation,"모든 육체의 영들의 하나님이신 여호와여, 회중을 다스릴 한 사람을 세워 주십시오.
17 who may go out before them, and who may come in before them, and who may lead them out, and who may bring them in, that the congregation of Yahweh may not be as sheep which have no shepherd.”who may go out before them, and who may come in before them, and who may lead them out, and who may bring them in; that the congregation of Jehovah be not as sheep which have no shepherd.그가 그들 앞에서 나가고 그들 앞에서 들어오며, 그들을 이끌어 내고 그들을 인도하여 들이게 하셔서, 여호와의 회중이 목자 없는 양 떼처럼 되지 않게 하여 주십시오."
18 Yahweh said to Moses, “ Take Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him.And Jehovah said unto Moses, Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay thy hand upon him;여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨습니다. "눈의 아들 여호수아를 데려오너라. 그는 영이 그 안에 있는 사람이니, 네 손을 그에게 얹어라.
19 Set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and commission him in their sight.and set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and give him a charge in their sight.그를 제사장 엘르아살과 온 회중 앞에 세우고, 그들이 보는 데서 그에게 직무를 맡겨라.
20 You shall give authority to him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may obey.And thou shalt put of thine honor upon him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may obey.네 권위의 일부를 그에게 부여하여, 이스라엘 자손의 온 회중이 그에게 순종하게 하여라.
21 He shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire for him by the judgment of the Urim before Yahweh. At his word they shall go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation.”And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire for him by the judgment of the Urim before Jehovah: at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation.그는 제사장 엘르아살 앞에 설 것이며, 엘르아살은 여호와 앞에서 우림의 판결로 그를 위하여 물을 것이다. 엘르아살의 말에 따라 그와 그를 따르는 모든 이스라엘 자손, 곧 온 회중이 나가고 들어올 것이다."
22 Moses did as Yahweh commanded him. He took Joshua, and set him before Eleazar the priest and before all the congregation.And Moses did as Jehovah commanded him; and he took Joshua, and set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation:모세는 여호와께서 자기에게 명하신 대로 행하여 여호수아를 데려다가 제사장 엘르아살과 온 회중 앞에 세웠습니다.
23 He laid his hands on him and commissioned him, as Yahweh spoke by Moses.and he laid his hands upon him, and gave him a charge, as Jehovah spake by Moses.그리고 그에게 자기 손을 얹고 직무를 맡겼는데, 여호와께서 모세를 통하여 말씀하신 그대로였습니다.
