1 Yahweh spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the Tent of Meeting, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying,And Jehovah spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tent of meeting, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying,이집트 땅에서 나온 지 둘째 해 둘째 달 첫째 날에, 여호와께서 시내 광야의 회막에서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.
2 “ Take a census of all the congregation of the children of Israel, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, every male, one by one,Take ye the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, every male, by their polls;"이스라엘 자손의 온 회중을 그 가문별로, 그 조상의 집안별로 조사하여, 이름의 수효를 따라 모든 남자를 한 사람씩 인구로 헤아려라.
3 from twenty years old and upward, all who are able to go out to war in Israel. You and Aaron shall count them by their divisions.from twenty years old and upward, all that are able to go forth to war in Israel, thou and Aaron shall number them by their hosts.스무 살이 넘어 이스라엘에서 전쟁에 나갈 수 있는 모든 사람을, 너와 아론이 그들의 부대별로 계수하여라.
4 With you there shall be a man of every tribe, each one head of his fathers’ house.And with you there shall be a man of every tribe; every one head of his fathers’ house.또 각 지파마다 한 사람씩, 곧 그 조상의 집안의 우두머리가 너희와 함께 있어야 한다.
5 These are the names of the men who shall stand with you: Of Reuben: Elizur the son of Shedeur.And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you. Of Reuben: Elizur the son of Shedeur.너희와 함께 설 사람들의 이름은 이러하다. 르우벤 지파에서는 스데울의 아들 엘리술이요,
6 Of Simeon: Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.Of Simeon: Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.시므온 지파에서는 수리삿대의 아들 슬루미엘이요,

14 Of Gad: Eliasaph the son of Deuel.Of Gad: Eliasaph the son of Deuel.갓 지파에서는 드우엘의 아들 엘리아삽이요,
15 Of Naphtali: Ahira the son of Enan.”Of Naphtali: Ahira the son of Enan.납달리 지파에서는 에난의 아들 아히라이다."
16 These are those who were called of the congregation, the princes of the tribes of their fathers; they were the heads of the thousands of Israel.These are they that were called of the congregation, the princes of the tribes of their fathers; they were the heads of the thousands of Israel.이들은 회중 가운데서 부름을 받은 사람들로, 그 조상 지파의 지도자들이며 이스라엘 각 천(千)의 우두머리들이었다.
17 Moses and Aaron took these men who are mentioned by name.And Moses and Aaron took these men that are mentioned by name:모세와 아론이 이름이 지명된 이 사람들을 데리고,
18 They assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month; and they declared their ancestry by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, one by one.and they assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month; and they declared their pedigrees after their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, by their polls.둘째 달 첫째 날에 온 회중을 함께 모았다. 백성은 가문별로, 조상의 집안별로 자기 혈통을 밝혔는데, 스무 살이 넘은 사람의 이름의 수효를 따라 한 사람씩 등록하였다.

24 Of the children of Gad, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:Of the children of Gad, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;갓의 자손은, 그 가문별로 조상의 집안별로, 이름의 수효를 따라 스무 살이 넘어 전쟁에 나갈 수 있는 모든 사람을 그 세대별로 헤아렸는데,
25 those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Gad, were forty-five thousand six hundred fifty.those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Gad, were forty and five thousand six hundred and fifty.갓 지파에서 계수된 사람은 사만 오천육백오십 명이었다.
26 Of the children of Judah, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:Of the children of Judah, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;유다의 자손은, 그 가문별로 조상의 집안별로, 이름의 수효를 따라 스무 살이 넘어 전쟁에 나갈 수 있는 모든 사람을 그 세대별로 헤아렸는데,
27 those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Judah, were seventy-four thousand six hundred.those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Judah, were threescore and fourteen thousand and six hundred.유다 지파에서 계수된 사람은 육만 사천육백 명이었다.
28 Of the children of Issachar, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:Of the children of Issachar, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;잇사갈의 자손은, 그 가문별로 조상의 집안별로, 이름의 수효를 따라 스무 살이 넘어 전쟁에 나갈 수 있는 모든 사람을 그 세대별로 헤아렸는데,

30 Of the children of Zebulun, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:Of the children of Zebulun, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;스불론의 자손은, 그 가문별로 조상의 집안별로, 이름의 수효를 따라 스무 살이 넘어 전쟁에 나갈 수 있는 모든 사람을 그 세대별로 헤아렸는데,
31 those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Zebulun, were fifty-seven thousand four hundred.those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Zebulun, were fifty and seven thousand and four hundred.스불론 지파에서 계수된 사람은 오만 칠천사백 명이었다.
32 Of the children of Joseph: of the children of Ephraim, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:Of the children of Joseph, namely, of the children of Ephraim, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;요셉의 자손 가운데 에브라임의 자손은, 그 가문별로 조상의 집안별로, 이름의 수효를 따라 스무 살이 넘어 전쟁에 나갈 수 있는 모든 사람을 그 세대별로 헤아렸는데,

34 Of the children of Manasseh, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:Of the children of Manasseh, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;므낫세의 자손은, 그 가문별로 조상의 집안별로, 이름의 수효를 따라 스무 살이 넘어 전쟁에 나갈 수 있는 모든 사람을 그 세대별로 헤아렸는데,
35 those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Manasseh, were thirty-two thousand two hundred.those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Manasseh, were thirty and two thousand and two hundred.므낫세 지파에서 계수된 사람은 삼만 이천이백 명이었다.

40 Of the children of Asher, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:Of the children of Asher, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;아셀의 자손은, 그 가문별로 조상의 집안별로, 이름의 수효를 따라 스무 살이 넘어 전쟁에 나갈 수 있는 모든 사람을 그 세대별로 헤아렸는데,
41 those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Asher, were forty-one thousand five hundred.those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Asher, were forty and one thousand and five hundred.아셀 지파에서 계수된 사람은 사만 천오백 명이었다.
42 Of the children of Naphtali, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:Of the children of Naphtali, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;납달리의 자손은, 그 가문별로 조상의 집안별로, 이름의 수효를 따라 스무 살이 넘어 전쟁에 나갈 수 있는 모든 사람을 그 세대별로 헤아렸는데,
43 those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Naphtali, were fifty-three thousand four hundred.those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Naphtali, were fifty and three thousand and four hundred.납달리 지파에서 계수된 사람은 오만 삼천사백 명이었다.
44 These are those who were counted, whom Moses and Aaron counted, and the twelve men who were princes of Israel, each one for his fathers’ house.These are they that were numbered, whom Moses and Aaron numbered, and the princes of Israel, being twelve men: they were each one for his fathers’ house.이들은 모세와 아론과 이스라엘의 지도자 열두 사람이 계수한 사람들인데, 그 지도자들은 각기 자기 조상의 집안을 대표하였다.
45 So all those who were counted of the children of Israel by their fathers’ houses, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war in Israel —So all they that were numbered of the children of Israel by their fathers’ houses, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war in Israel;그리하여 이스라엘 자손 가운데 조상의 집안별로, 스무 살이 넘어 이스라엘에서 전쟁에 나갈 수 있는 모든 사람을 계수하니,
46 all those who were counted were six hundred three thousand five hundred fifty.even all they that were numbered were six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.계수된 사람은 모두 육십만 삼천오백오십 명이었다.
47 But the Levites after the tribe of their fathers were not counted among them.But the Levites after the tribe of their fathers were not numbered among them.그러나 레위 지파는 그 조상의 지파대로 그들 가운데서 계수되지 않았다.
48 For Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,For Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,이는 여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨기 때문이다.
49 “Only the tribe of Levi you shall not count, neither shall you take a census of them among the children of Israel;Only the tribe of Levi thou shalt not number, neither shalt thou take the sum of them among the children of Israel;"오직 레위 지파만은 계수하지 말고, 이스라엘 자손 가운데서 그 수효를 조사하지 말아라.
50 but appoint the Levites over the Tabernacle of the Testimony, and over all its furnishings, and over all that belongs to it. They shall carry the tabernacle and all its furnishings; and they shall take care of it, and shall encamp around it.but appoint thou the Levites over the tabernacle of the testimony, and over all the furniture thereof, and over all that belongeth to it: they shall bear the tabernacle, and all the furniture thereof; and they shall minister unto it, and shall encamp round about the tabernacle.그 대신 레위 사람들을 증거의 성막과 그 모든 기구와 거기에 딸린 모든 것을 맡아보게 하여라. 그들은 성막과 그 모든 기구를 운반하고, 성막을 보살피며, 그 둘레에 진을 쳐야 한다.
51 When the tabernacle is to move, the Levites shall take it down; and when the tabernacle is to be set up, the Levites shall set it up. The stranger who comes near shall be put to death.And when the tabernacle setteth forward, the Levites shall take it down; and when the tabernacle is to be pitched, the Levites shall set it up: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.성막을 옮길 때에는 레위 사람들이 그것을 거두고, 성막을 세울 때에는 레위 사람들이 그것을 세워야 한다. 다른 사람이 가까이 오면 죽임을 당할 것이다.
52 The children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, according to their divisions.And the children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, according to their hosts.이스라엘 자손은 각기 자기 진영별로, 각기 자기 깃발 아래, 그 부대대로 장막을 쳐야 한다.
53 But the Levites shall encamp around the Tabernacle of the Testimony, that there may be no wrath on the congregation of the children of Israel. The Levites shall be responsible for the Tabernacle of the Testimony.”But the Levites shall encamp round about the tabernacle of the testimony, that there be no wrath upon the congregation of the children of Israel: and the Levites shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of the testimony.그러나 레위 사람들은 증거의 성막 둘레에 진을 쳐야 하니, 이는 이스라엘 자손의 회중에게 진노가 임하지 않게 하려는 것이다. 레위 사람들은 증거의 성막을 맡아 지켜야 한다."
54 Thus the children of Israel did. According to all that Yahweh commanded Moses, so they did.Thus did the children of Israel; according to all that Jehovah commanded Moses, so did they.이스라엘 자손은 여호와께서 모세에게 명령하신 모든 것을 그대로 다 행하였다.
