1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,And Jehovah spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,여호와께서 모세와 아론에게 말씀하셨다.
2 “ This is the statute of the law which Yahweh has commanded. Tell the children of Israel to bring you a red heifer without spot, in which is no defect, and which was never yoked.This is the statute of the law which Jehovah hath commanded, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring thee a red heifer without spot, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came yoke."이것은 여호와께서 명령하신 율법의 규례다. 이스라엘 자손에게 일러서, 흠이 없고 점이 없으며 아직 멍에를 메어 본 적이 없는 붉은 암송아지 한 마리를 너에게 끌어오게 하여라.
3 You shall give her to Eleazar the priest, and he shall bring her outside of the camp, and one shall kill her before his face.And ye shall give her unto Eleazar the priest, and he shall bring her forth without the camp, and one shall slay her before his face:너희는 그것을 제사장 엘르아살에게 주어라. 그러면 그가 그것을 진영 밖으로 끌어내고, 사람들이 그가 보는 앞에서 그것을 잡을 것이다.
4 Eleazar the priest shall take some of her blood with his finger, and sprinkle her blood toward the front of the Tent of Meeting seven times.and Eleazar the priest shall take of her blood with his finger, and sprinkle her blood toward the front of the tent of meeting seven times.제사장 엘르아살은 손가락으로 그 피를 찍어, 회막 앞쪽을 향해 일곱 번 뿌릴 것이다.
5 One shall burn the heifer in his sight; her skin, and her meat, and her blood, with her dung, shall he burn.And one shall burn the heifer in his sight; her skin, and her flesh, and her blood, with her dung, shall he burn:또 한 사람이 그가 보는 앞에서 그 암송아지를 불사르되, 그 가죽과 살과 피를 똥과 함께 불사를 것이다.
6 The priest shall take cedar wood, hyssop, and scarlet, and cast it into the middle of the burning of the heifer.and the priest shall take cedar-wood, and hyssop, and scarlet, and cast it into the midst of the burning of the heifer.제사장은 백향목과 우슬초와 홍색 실을 가져다가 그 암송아지가 불타는 한가운데에 던져 넣을 것이다.
7 Then the priest shall wash his clothes, and he shall bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp, and the priest shall be unclean until the evening.Then the priest shall wash his clothes, and he shall bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp, and the priest shall be unclean until the even.그런 다음 제사장은 자기 옷을 빨고 물로 몸을 씻은 뒤에야 진영으로 들어올 수 있으며, 그 제사장은 저녁까지 부정할 것이다.
8 He who burns her shall wash his clothes in water, and bathe his flesh in water, and shall be unclean until the evening.And he that burneth her shall wash his clothes in water, and bathe his flesh in water, and shall be unclean until the even.그 암송아지를 불사른 사람도 물로 자기 옷을 빨고 물로 몸을 씻어야 하며, 저녁까지 부정할 것이다.
9 “ A man who is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and lay them up outside of the camp in a clean place; and it shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Israel for use in water for cleansing impurity. It is a sin offering.And a man that is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and lay them up without the camp in a clean place; and it shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Israel for a water for impurity: it is a sin-offering."정결한 사람이 그 암송아지의 재를 거두어, 진영 밖 정결한 곳에 두어라. 그것은 이스라엘 자손의 회중을 위하여 간직되어 부정을 씻는 물을 만드는 데에 쓰일 것이니, 이는 속죄제다.
10 He who gathers the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening. It shall be to the children of Israel, and to the stranger who lives as a foreigner among them, for a statute forever.And he that gathereth the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: and it shall be unto the children of Israel, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among them, for a statute for ever.그 암송아지의 재를 거둔 사람도 자기 옷을 빨아야 하며 저녁까지 부정할 것이다. 이것은 이스라엘 자손과 그들 가운데 나그네로 사는 외국인에게 영원한 규례가 될 것이다.
11 “ He who touches the dead body of any man shall be unclean seven days.He that toucheth the dead body of any man shall be unclean seven days:"어떤 사람의 시체를 만진 사람은 이레 동안 부정할 것이다.
12 He shall purify himself with water on the third day, and on the seventh day he shall be clean; but if he doesn’t purify himself the third day, then the seventh day he shall not be clean.the same shall purify himself therewith on the third day, and on the seventh day he shall be clean: but if he purify not himself the third day, then the seventh day he shall not be clean.그는 셋째 날과 일곱째 날에 그 물로 자신을 정결하게 하여야 깨끗해진다. 그러나 셋째 날에 자신을 정결하게 하지 않으면, 일곱째 날에도 깨끗해지지 못할 것이다.
13 Whoever touches a dead person, the body of a man who has died, and doesn’t purify himself, defiles Yahweh’s tabernacle; and that soul shall be cut off from Israel; because the water for impurity was not sprinkled on him, he shall be unclean. His uncleanness is yet on him.Whosoever toucheth a dead person, the body of a man that hath died, and purifieth not himself, defileth the tabernacle of Jehovah; and that soul shall be cut off from Israel: because the water for impurity was not sprinkled upon him, he shall be unclean; his uncleanness is yet upon him.누구든지 죽은 사람, 곧 죽은 사람의 시체를 만지고도 자신을 정결하게 하지 않으면, 여호와의 성막을 더럽힌 것이니 그 사람은 이스라엘에서 끊어질 것이다. 부정을 씻는 물이 그에게 뿌려지지 않았으므로 그는 부정하며, 그 부정함이 아직 그에게 남아 있는 것이다.
14 “ This is the law when a man dies in a tent: everyone who comes into the tent, and everyone who is in the tent, shall be unclean seven days.This is the law when a man dieth in a tent: every one that cometh into the tent, and every one that is in the tent, shall be unclean seven days."사람이 장막 안에서 죽었을 때의 율법은 이러하다. 그 장막에 들어가는 모든 사람과 그 장막 안에 있는 모든 사람은 이레 동안 부정할 것이다.
15 Every open vessel, which has no covering bound on it, is unclean.And every open vessel, which hath no covering bound upon it, is unclean.또 뚜껑을 덮어 묶지 않은 열린 그릇은 모두 부정하다.
16 “ Whoever in the open field touches one who is slain with a sword, or a dead body, or a bone of a man, or a grave, shall be unclean seven days.And whosoever in the open field toucheth one that is slain with a sword, or a dead body, or a bone of a man, or a grave, shall be unclean seven days."누구든지 들에서 칼에 죽임을 당한 사람이나 시체나 사람의 뼈나 무덤을 만지면 이레 동안 부정할 것이다.
17 “ For the unclean, they shall take of the ashes of the burning of the sin offering; and running water shall be poured on them in a vessel.And for the unclean they shall take of the ashes of the burning of the sin-offering; and running water shall be put thereto in a vessel:"부정한 사람을 위해서는 그 불사른 속죄제물의 재를 가져다가 그릇에 담고 그 위에 흐르는 물을 부어라.
18 A clean person shall take hyssop, dip it in the water, and sprinkle it on the tent, on all the vessels, on the persons who were there, and on him who touched the bone, or the slain, or the dead, or the grave.and a clean person shall take hyssop, and dip it in the water, and sprinkle it upon the tent, and upon all the vessels, and upon the persons that were there, and upon him that touched the bone, or the slain, or the dead, or the grave:그러면 정결한 사람이 우슬초를 가져다 그 물에 적셔, 그 장막과 모든 그릇과 거기 있던 사람들에게, 그리고 뼈나 죽임당한 자나 시체나 무덤을 만진 사람에게 뿌릴 것이다.
19 The clean person shall sprinkle on the unclean on the third day, and on the seventh day. On the seventh day, he shall purify him. He shall wash his clothes and bathe himself in water, and shall be clean at evening.and the clean person shall sprinkle upon the unclean on the third day, and on the seventh day: and on the seventh day he shall purify him; and he shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and shall be clean at even.정결한 사람은 셋째 날과 일곱째 날에 부정한 사람에게 뿌려 줄 것이다. 일곱째 날에 그를 정결하게 한 뒤에, 그 사람은 자기 옷을 빨고 물로 몸을 씻으면 저녁에 깨끗해질 것이다.
20 But the man who shall be unclean, and shall not purify himself, that soul shall be cut off from among the assembly, because he has defiled the sanctuary of Yahweh. The water for impurity has not been sprinkled on him. He is unclean.But the man that shall be unclean, and shall not purify himself, that soul shall be cut off from the midst of the assembly, because he hath defiled the sanctuary of Jehovah: the water for impurity hath not been sprinkled upon him; he is unclean.그러나 부정하면서도 자신을 정결하게 하지 않는 사람은 여호와의 성소를 더럽힌 것이니, 그 사람은 회중 가운데서 끊어질 것이다. 부정을 씻는 물이 그에게 뿌려지지 않았으므로 그는 부정하다.
21 It shall be a perpetual statute to them. He who sprinkles the water for impurity shall wash his clothes, and he who touches the water for impurity shall be unclean until evening.And it shall be a perpetual statute unto them: and he that sprinkleth the water for impurity shall wash his clothes, and he that toucheth the water for impurity shall be unclean until even.이것은 그들에게 영원한 규례가 될 것이다. 부정을 씻는 물을 뿌린 사람도 자기 옷을 빨아야 하며, 그 부정을 씻는 물을 만진 사람은 저녁까지 부정할 것이다.
22 “ Whatever the unclean person touches shall be unclean; and the soul that touches it shall be unclean until evening.”And whatsoever the unclean person toucheth shall be unclean; and the soul that toucheth it shall be unclean until even.부정한 사람이 만지는 것은 무엇이든지 부정하게 되며, 그것을 만진 사람도 저녁까지 부정할 것이다."
