Numbers 23장

1 Balaam said to Balak, “ Build here seven altars for me, and prepare here seven bulls and seven rams for me.”And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven bullocks and seven rams.발람이 발락에게 말하였다. "여기에 제단 일곱을 쌓고, 수송아지 일곱 마리와 숫양 일곱 마리를 준비해 주십시오."

2 Balak did as Balaam had spoken; and Balak and Balaam offered on every altar a bull and a ram.And Balak did as Balaam had spoken; and Balak and Balaam offered on every altar a bullock and a ram.발락은 발람이 말한 대로 행하였고, 발락과 발람은 각 제단마다 수송아지 한 마리와 숫양 한 마리를 바쳤다.

3 Balaam said to Balak, “ Stand by your burnt offering, and I will go. Perhaps Yahweh will come to meet me. Whatever he shows me I will tell you.” He went to a bare height.And Balaam said unto Balak, Stand by thy burnt-offering, and I will go: peradventure Jehovah will come to meet me; and whatsoever he showeth me I will tell thee. And he went to a bare height.발람이 발락에게 말하였다. "당신은 당신의 번제물 곁에 서 계십시오. 나는 가 보겠습니다. 어쩌면 여호와께서 나를 만나러 오실지도 모릅니다. 그분이 내게 무엇을 보여 주시든지 내가 당신에게 알려 드리겠습니다." 그러고는 그는 헐벗은 언덕으로 올라갔다.

4 God met Balaam, and he said to him, “I have prepared the seven altars, and I have offered up a bull and a ram on every altar.”And God met Balaam: and he said unto him, I have prepared the seven altars, and I have offered up a bullock and a ram on every altar.하나님께서 발람을 만나 주셨다. 발람이 그분께 아뢰었다. "제가 제단 일곱을 쌓고, 각 제단마다 수송아지 한 마리와 숫양 한 마리를 바쳤습니다."

5 Yahweh put a word in Balaam’s mouth, and said, “ Return to Balak, and thus you shall speak.”And Jehovah put a word in Balaam’s mouth, and said, Return unto Balak, and thus thou shalt speak.여호와께서 발람의 입에 말씀을 두시고 이르셨다. "발락에게 돌아가서 이렇게 말하여라."

6 He returned to him, and behold, he was standing by his burnt offering, he, and all the princes of Moab.And he returned unto him, and, lo, he was standing by his burnt-offering, he, and all the princes of Moab.발람이 발락에게 돌아가 보니, 그가 모압의 모든 고관들과 함께 자기 번제물 곁에 서 있었다.

7 He took up his parable, and said, “ From Aram has Balak brought me, the king of Moab from the mountains of the East. Come, curse Jacob for me. Come, defy Israel.And he took up his parable, and said, From Aram hath Balak brought me, The king of Moab from the mountains of the East: Come, curse me Jacob, And come, defy Israel.발람이 자기의 비유를 읊어 말하였다. "발락이 아람에서, 모압 왕이 동쪽 산지에서 나를 데려와 이르기를, '와서 나를 위하여 야곱을 저주하라. 와서 이스라엘을 향하여 위협하라' 하였으나,

8 How shall I curse whom God has not cursed? How shall I defy whom Yahweh has not defied?How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? And how shall I defy, whom Jehovah hath not defied?하나님께서 저주하지 않으신 자를 내가 어찌 저주하며, 여호와께서 위협하지 않으신 자를 내가 어찌 위협하겠는가?

9 For from the top of the rocks I see him. From the hills I see him. Behold, it is a people that dwells alone, and shall not be listed among the nations.For from the top of the rocks I see him, And from the hills I behold him: Lo, it is a people that dwelleth alone, And shall not be reckoned among the nations.바위 꼭대기에서 내가 그를 바라보며, 언덕에서 그를 살펴본다. 보라, 이는 홀로 거하는 백성이라, 여러 민족 가운데 끼이지 않으리라.

10 Who can count the dust of Jacob, or count the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous! Let my last end be like his!”Who can count the dust of Jacob, Or number the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, And let my last end be like his!누가 야곱의 티끌을 셀 수 있으며, 이스라엘의 사분의 일이라도 셈할 수 있겠는가? 내가 의인의 죽음으로 죽기를 원하며, 내 마지막이 그의 마지막과 같기를 바라노라."

11 Balak said to Balaam, “ What have you done to me? I took you to curse my enemies, and behold, you have blessed them altogether.”And Balak said unto Balaam, What hast thou done unto me? I took thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast blessed them altogether.발락이 발람에게 말하였다. "당신이 내게 무슨 짓을 한 것입니까? 내가 당신을 데려온 것은 내 원수들을 저주하게 하려 함인데, 보십시오, 당신은 도리어 그들을 온전히 축복하였습니다."

12 He answered and said, “ Must I not take heed to speak that which Yahweh puts in my mouth?”And he answered and said, Must I not take heed to speak that which Jehovah putteth in my mouth?발람이 대답하여 말하였다. "여호와께서 내 입에 두신 그 말을 내가 그대로 전하기를 어찌 삼가지 않을 수 있겠습니까?"

13 Balak said to him, “Please come with me to another place, where you may see them. You shall see just part of them, and shall not see them all. Curse them from there for me.”And Balak said unto him, Come, I pray thee, with me unto another place, from whence thou mayest see them; thou shalt see but the utmost part of them, and shalt not see them all: and curse me them from thence.발락이 그에게 말하였다. "청하건대 나와 함께 다른 곳으로 가십시다. 거기서는 그들을 보되 그 끝자락만 보고 전부는 보지 못할 것이니, 그곳에서 나를 위하여 그들을 저주해 주십시오."

14 He took him into the field of Zophim, to the top of Pisgah, and built seven altars, and offered up a bull and a ram on every altar.And he took him into the field of Zophim, to the top of Pisgah, and built seven altars, and offered up a bullock and a ram on every altar.발락이 발람을 소빔 들판으로, 비스가 꼭대기로 데려가서, 제단 일곱을 쌓고 각 제단마다 수송아지 한 마리와 숫양 한 마리를 바쳤다.

15 He said to Balak, “ Stand here by your burnt offering, while I meet God over there.”And he said unto Balak, Stand here by thy burnt-offering, while I meet Jehovah yonder.발람이 발락에게 말하였다. "당신은 여기 당신의 번제물 곁에 서 계십시오. 나는 저쪽에서 여호와를 만나겠습니다."

16 Yahweh met Balaam, and put a word in his mouth, and said, “ Return to Balak, and say this.”And Jehovah met Balaam, and put a word in his mouth, and said, Return unto Balak, and thus shalt thou speak.여호와께서 발람을 만나 그의 입에 말씀을 두시고 이르셨다. "발락에게 돌아가서 이렇게 말하여라."

17 He came to him, and behold, he was standing by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. Balak said to him, “ What has Yahweh spoken?”And he came to him, and, lo, he was standing by his burnt-offering, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said unto him, What hath Jehovah spoken?발람이 발락에게 가 보니, 그가 모압의 고관들과 함께 자기 번제물 곁에 서 있었다. 발락이 그에게 물었다. "여호와께서 무엇이라 말씀하셨습니까?"

18 He took up his parable, and said, “ Rise up, Balak, and hear! Listen to me, you son of Zippor.And he took up his parable, and said, Rise up, Balak, and hear; Hearken unto me, thou son of Zippor:발람이 자기의 비유를 읊어 말하였다. "발락이여, 일어나 들으십시오. 십볼의 아들이여, 내게 귀를 기울이십시오.

19 God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should repent. Has he said, and he won’t do it? Or has he spoken, and he won’t make it good?God is not a man, that he should lie, Neither the son of man, that he should repent: Hath he said, and will he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and will he not make it good?하나님은 사람이 아니시니 거짓말하지 않으시며, 인생이 아니시니 마음을 바꾸지 않으십니다. 그분이 말씀하셨으면 행하지 않으시겠으며, 약속하셨으면 이루지 않으시겠습니까?

20 Behold, I have received a command to bless. He has blessed, and I can’t reverse it.Behold, I have received commandment to bless: And he hath blessed, and I cannot reverse it.보십시오, 나는 축복하라는 명령을 받았습니다. 그분이 축복하셨으니 내가 그것을 돌이킬 수 없습니다.

21 He has not seen iniquity in Jacob. Neither has he seen perverseness in Israel. Yahweh his God is with him. The shout of a king is among them.He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob; Neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: Jehovah his God is with him, And the shout of a king is among them.그분은 야곱에게서 죄악을 보지 않으시며, 이스라엘에게서 잘못을 보지 않으십니다. 여호와 그들의 하나님이 그들과 함께 계시고, 왕을 향한 환호가 그들 가운데 있습니다.

22 God brings them out of Egypt. He has as it were the strength of the wild ox.God bringeth them forth out of Egypt; He hath as it were the strength of the wild-ox.하나님께서 그들을 이집트에서 인도해 내시니, 그들은 들소와 같은 힘을 지녔습니다.

23 Surely there is no enchantment with Jacob; neither is there any divination with Israel. Now it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, ‘ What has God done!’Surely there is no enchantment with Jacob; Neither is there any divination with Israel: Now shall it be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!진실로 야곱을 해할 주술이 없고, 이스라엘을 해할 점술이 없습니다. 이제 야곱과 이스라엘에 대하여 이르기를, '하나님께서 어떠한 일을 행하셨는가!' 하리이다.

24 Behold, a people rises up as a lioness. As a lion he lifts himself up. He shall not lie down until he eats of the prey, and drinks the blood of the slain.”Behold, the people riseth up as a lioness, And as a lion doth he lift himself up: He shall not lie down until he eat of the prey, And drink the blood of the slain.보십시오, 이 백성이 암사자처럼 일어나며, 수사자처럼 몸을 일으킵니다. 먹이를 삼키고 죽인 자의 피를 마시기까지 그는 눕지 아니할 것입니다."

25 Balak said to Balaam, “ Neither curse them at all, nor bless them at all.”And Balak said unto Balaam, Neither curse them at all, nor bless them at all.발락이 발람에게 말하였다. "그들을 저주하지도 말고, 축복하지도 마십시오."

26 But Balaam answered Balak, “Didn’t I tell you, saying, ‘ All that Yahweh speaks, that I must do’?”But Balaam answered and said unto Balak, Told not I thee, saying, All that Jehovah speaketh, that I must do?그러나 발람이 발락에게 대답하였다. "여호와께서 말씀하시는 모든 것을 내가 반드시 행해야 한다고 내가 당신에게 말하지 않았습니까?"

27 Balak said to Balaam, “ Come now, I will take you to another place; perhaps it will please God that you may curse them for me from there.”And Balak said unto Balaam, Come now, I will take thee unto another place; peradventure it will please God that thou mayest curse me them from thence.발락이 발람에게 말하였다. "이제 오십시오. 내가 당신을 다른 곳으로 데려가겠습니다. 어쩌면 하나님께서 기뻐하셔서 당신이 그곳에서 나를 위하여 그들을 저주하게 하실지도 모릅니다."

28 Balak took Balaam to the top of Peor, that looks down on the desert.And Balak took Balaam unto the top of Peor, that looketh down upon the desert.발락이 발람을 광야가 내려다보이는 브올 꼭대기로 데려갔다.

29 Balaam said to Balak, “ Build seven altars for me here, and prepare seven bulls and seven rams for me here.”And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven bullocks and seven rams.발람이 발락에게 말하였다. "여기에 제단 일곱을 쌓고, 수송아지 일곱 마리와 숫양 일곱 마리를 준비해 주십시오."

30 Balak did as Balaam had said, and offered up a bull and a ram on every altar.And Balak did as Balaam had said, and offered up a bullock and a ram on every altar.발락은 발람이 말한 대로 행하여, 각 제단마다 수송아지 한 마리와 숫양 한 마리를 바쳤다.
