1 Now this is the history of the generations of Aaron and Moses in the day that Yahweh spoke with Moses in Mount Sinai.Now these are the generations of Aaron and Moses in the day that Jehovah spake with Moses in mount Sinai.여호와께서 시내 산에서 모세에게 말씀하시던 그날, 아론과 모세의 자손들에 관한 내력은 이러하다.
2 These are the names of the sons of Aaron: Nadab the firstborn, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.And these are the names of the sons of Aaron: Nadab the first-born, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.아론의 아들들의 이름은 이러하니, 맏아들 나답과 아비후, 엘르아살과 이다말이다.
3 These are the names of the sons of Aaron, the priests who were anointed, whom he consecrated to minister in the priest’s office.These are the names of the sons of Aaron, the priests that were anointed, whom he consecrated to minister in the priest’s office.이들은 기름 부음을 받아 거룩히 구별된 아론의 아들들로서, 제사장 직분을 맡아 섬기도록 위임받은 제사장들의 이름이다.
4 Nadab and Abihu died before Yahweh when they offered strange fire before Yahweh in the wilderness of Sinai, and they had no children. 5 Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.
6 “ Bring the tribe of Levi near, and set them before Aaron the priest, that they may minister to him.Bring the tribe of Levi near, and set them before Aaron the priest, that they may minister unto him."레위 지파를 가까이 데려와 아론 제사장 앞에 세워, 그를 섬기게 하여라.
7 They shall keep his requirements, and the requirements of the whole congregation before the Tent of Meeting, to do the service of the tabernacle.And they shall keep his charge, and the charge of the whole congregation before the tent of meeting, to do the service of the tabernacle.그들은 회막 앞에서 아론이 맡은 임무와 온 회중이 맡은 임무를 지키며 성막의 일을 수행해야 한다.
8 They shall keep all the furnishings of the Tent of Meeting, and the obligations of the children of Israel, to do the service of the tabernacle.And they shall keep all the furniture of the tent of meeting, and the charge of the children of Israel, to do the service of the tabernacle.또한 회막의 모든 기구를 맡아 지키고, 이스라엘 자손이 맡은 책임을 대신하여 성막의 일을 수행해야 한다.
9 You shall give the Levites to Aaron and to his sons. They are wholly given to him on the behalf of the children of Israel.And thou shalt give the Levites unto Aaron and to his sons: they are wholly given unto him on the behalf of the children of Israel.너는 레위 사람들을 아론과 그의 아들들에게 주어라. 그들은 이스라엘 자손을 대신하여 온전히 아론에게 바쳐진 자들이다.
10 You shall appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall keep their priesthood, but the stranger who comes near shall be put to death.”And thou shalt appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall keep their priesthood: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.너는 아론과 그의 아들들을 세워 제사장 직분을 지키게 하여라. 다른 사람이 가까이 다가오면 그는 죽임을 당할 것이다."
11 Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.
12 “ Behold, I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel instead of all the firstborn who open the womb among the children of Israel; and the Levites shall be mine,And I, behold, I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel instead of all the first-born that openeth the womb among the children of Israel; and the Levites shall be mine:"보아라, 내가 이스라엘 자손 가운데서 모든 첫 태에 태어난 맏아들을 대신하여 레위 사람들을 이스라엘 자손 가운데서 택하였으니, 레위 사람들은 내 것이 될 것이다.
13 for all the firstborn are mine. On the day that I struck down all the firstborn in the land of Egypt I made holy to me all the firstborn in Israel, both man and animal. They shall be mine. I am Yahweh.”for all the first-born are mine; on the day that I smote all the first-born in the land of Egypt I hallowed unto me all the first-born in Israel, both man and beast; mine they shall be: I am Jehovah.모든 맏이는 내 것이기 때문이다. 내가 이집트 땅에서 모든 맏이를 치던 날에 이스라엘의 모든 맏이를, 사람이든 짐승이든, 나를 위해 거룩하게 구별하였다. 그들은 내 것이다. 나는 여호와다."
14 Yahweh spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, saying,And Jehovah spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, saying,여호와께서 시내 광야에서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.
15 “Count the children of Levi by their fathers’ houses, by their families. You shall count every male from a month old and upward.”Number the children of Levi by their fathers’ houses, by their families: every male from a month old and upward shalt thou number them."레위 자손을 그들의 조상의 집과 가족별로 세어라. 한 달 이상 된 모든 남자를 세어야 한다."
16 Moses counted them according to Yahweh’s word, as he was commanded.And Moses numbered them according to the word of Jehovah, as he was commanded.그래서 모세는 여호와의 말씀대로, 명령받은 그대로 그들을 세었다.
17 These were the sons of Levi by their names: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.And these were the sons of Levi by their names: Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari.레위의 아들들의 이름은 이러하니, 게르손과 고핫과 므라리다.
18 These are the names of the sons of Gershon by their families: Libni and Shimei.And these are the names of the sons of Gershon by their families: Libni and Shimei.게르손의 아들들의 이름은 그 가족별로 립니와 시므이다.
19 The sons of Kohath by their families: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel.And the sons of Kohath by their families: Amram, and Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel.고핫의 아들들은 그 가족별로 아므람과 이스할과 헤브론과 웃시엘이다.
20 The sons of Merari by their families: Mahli and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites according to their fathers’ houses.And the sons of Merari by their families: Mahli and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites according to their fathers’ houses.므라리의 아들들은 그 가족별로 마흘리와 무시다. 이들이 그 조상의 집을 따른 레위 사람들의 가족이다.
21 Of Gershon was the family of the Libnites, and the family of the Shimeites. These are the families of the Gershonites.Of Gershon was the family of the Libnites, and the family of the Shimeites: these are the families of the Gershonites.게르손에게서는 립니 사람의 가족과 시므이 사람의 가족이 났으니, 이들이 게르손 사람의 가족이다.
22 Those who were counted of them, according to the number of all the males from a month old and upward, even those who were counted of them were seven thousand five hundred.Those that were numbered of them, according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, even those that were numbered of them were seven thousand and five hundred.한 달 이상 된 모든 남자의 수를 세어 보니, 계수된 자가 칠천오백 명이었다.
23 The families of the Gershonites shall encamp behind the tabernacle westward.The families of the Gershonites shall encamp behind the tabernacle westward.게르손 사람의 가족은 성막 뒤편 서쪽에 진을 쳐야 한다.
24 Eliasaph the son of Lael shall be the prince of the fathers’ house of the Gershonites.And the prince of the fathers’ house of the Gershonites shall be Eliasaph the son of Lael.게르손 사람의 조상의 집을 이끄는 지도자는 라엘의 아들 엘리아삽이다.
25 The duty of the sons of Gershon in the Tent of Meeting shall be the tabernacle, the tent, its covering, the screen for the door of the Tent of Meeting,And the charge of the sons of Gershon in the tent of meeting shall be the tabernacle, and the Tent, the covering thereof, and the screen for the door of the tent of meeting,회막에서 게르손 자손이 맡을 임무는 성막과 장막, 그 덮개와 회막 문의 휘장이며,
26 the hangings of the court, the screen for the door of the court which is by the tabernacle and around the altar, and its cords for all of its service.and the hangings of the court, and the screen for the door of the court, which is by the tabernacle, and by the altar round about, and the cords of it for all the service thereof.성막과 제단 둘레에 있는 뜰의 휘장과 뜰 문의 휘장, 그리고 그 모든 일에 쓰이는 줄들이다.
27 Of Kohath was the family of the Amramites, the family of the Izharites, the family of the Hebronites, and the family of the Uzzielites. These are the families of the Kohathites.And of Kohath was the family of the Amramites, and the family of the Izharites, and the family of the Hebronites, and the family of the Uzzielites: these are the families of the Kohathites.고핫에게서는 아므람 사람의 가족과 이스할 사람의 가족과 헤브론 사람의 가족과 웃시엘 사람의 가족이 났으니, 이들이 고핫 사람의 가족이다.
28 According to the number of all the males from a month old and upward, there were eight thousand six hundred keeping the requirements of the sanctuary.According to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, there were eight thousand and six hundred, keeping the charge of the sanctuary.한 달 이상 된 모든 남자의 수는 팔천육백 명이었으며, 그들은 성소의 임무를 맡아 지켰다.
29 The families of the sons of Kohath shall encamp on the south side of the tabernacle.The families of the sons of Kohath shall encamp on the side of the tabernacle southward.고핫 자손의 가족은 성막 남쪽에 진을 쳐야 한다.
30 The prince of the fathers’ house of the families of the Kohathites shall be Elizaphan the son of Uzziel.And the prince of the fathers’ house of the families of the Kohathites shall be Elizaphan the son of Uzziel.고핫 사람의 가족, 그 조상의 집을 이끄는 지도자는 웃시엘의 아들 엘리사반이다.
31 Their duty shall be the ark, the table, the lamp stand, the altars, the vessels of the sanctuary with which they minister, the screen, and all its service.And their charge shall be the ark, and the table, and the candlestick, and the altars, and the vessels of the sanctuary wherewith they minister, and the screen, and all the service thereof.그들이 맡을 임무는 궤와 상과 등잔대와 제단들과 그들이 섬길 때 쓰는 성소의 기구들과 휘장과 그에 딸린 모든 일이다.
32 Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest shall be prince of the princes of the Levites, with the oversight of those who keep the requirements of the sanctuary.And Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest shall be prince of the princes of the Levites, and have the oversight of them that keep the charge of the sanctuary.아론 제사장의 아들 엘르아살은 레위 사람의 지도자들을 다스리는 우두머리가 되어, 성소의 임무를 지키는 자들을 감독한다.
33 Of Merari was the family of the Mahlites and the family of the Mushites. These are the families of Merari.Of Merari was the family of the Mahlites, and the family of the Mushites: these are the families of Merari.므라리에게서는 마흘리 사람의 가족과 무시 사람의 가족이 났으니, 이들이 므라리의 가족이다.
34 Those who were counted of them, according to the number of all the males from a month old and upward, were six thousand two hundred.And those that were numbered of them, according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, were six thousand and two hundred.한 달 이상 된 모든 남자의 수를 세어 보니 육천이백 명이었다.
35 The prince of the fathers’ house of the families of Merari was Zuriel the son of Abihail. They shall encamp on the north side of the tabernacle.And the prince of the fathers’ house of the families of Merari was Zuriel the son of Abihail: they shall encamp on the side of the tabernacle northward.므라리 사람의 가족, 그 조상의 집을 이끄는 지도자는 아비하일의 아들 수리엘이다. 그들은 성막 북쪽에 진을 쳐야 한다.
36 The appointed duty of the sons of Merari shall be the tabernacle’s boards, its bars, its pillars, its sockets, all its instruments, all its service,And the appointed charge of the sons of Merari shall be the boards of the tabernacle, and the bars thereof, and the pillars thereof, and the sockets thereof, and all the instruments thereof, and all the service thereof,므라리 자손이 맡아 지킬 임무는 성막의 널판과 그 가로대와 기둥과 받침과 모든 기구와 그에 딸린 모든 일이며,
37 the pillars of the court around it, their sockets, their pins, and their cords.and the pillars of the court round about, and their sockets, and their pins, and their cords.둘레 뜰의 기둥과 그 받침과 말뚝과 줄들이다.
38 Those who encamp before the tabernacle eastward, in front of the Tent of Meeting toward the sunrise, shall be Moses, with Aaron and his sons, keeping the requirements of the sanctuary for the duty of the children of Israel. The outsider who comes near shall be put to death.And those that encamp before the tabernacle eastward, before the tent of meeting toward the sunrising, shall be Moses, and Aaron and his sons, keeping the charge of the sanctuary for the charge of the children of Israel; and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.성막 앞 동쪽, 곧 회막 앞 해 뜨는 쪽에 진을 칠 자는 모세와 아론과 그의 아들들이며, 그들은 이스라엘 자손을 대신하여 성소의 임무를 맡아 지킨다. 다른 사람이 가까이 다가오면 그는 죽임을 당할 것이다.
39 All who were counted of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron counted at the commandment of Yahweh, by their families, all the males from a month old and upward, were twenty-two thousand.All that were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron numbered at the commandment of Jehovah, by their families, all the males from a month old and upward, were twenty and two thousand.여호와의 명령에 따라 모세와 아론이 레위 사람을 가족별로 세었는데, 한 달 이상 된 모든 남자의 수는 이만이천 명이었다.
40 Yahweh said to Moses, “ Count all the firstborn males of the children of Israel from a month old and upward, and take the number of their names.And Jehovah said unto Moses, Number all the first-born males of the children of Israel from a month old and upward, and take the number of their names.여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다. "이스라엘 자손 가운데 한 달 이상 된 모든 맏아들을 세어 그 이름의 수를 헤아려라.
41 You shall take the Levites for me — I am Yahweh — instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel; and the livestock of the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the livestock of the children of Israel.”And thou shalt take the Levites for me ( I am Jehovah ) instead of all the first-born among the children of Israel; and the cattle of the Levites instead of all the firstlings among the cattle of the children of Israel.그리고 이스라엘 자손의 모든 맏이를 대신하여 레위 사람들을 나를 위해 택하고(나는 여호와다), 이스라엘 자손의 가축의 모든 처음 난 것을 대신하여 레위 사람의 가축을 택하여라."
42 Moses counted, as Yahweh commanded him, all the firstborn among the children of Israel.And Moses numbered, as Jehovah commanded him, all the first-born among the children of Israel.그래서 모세는 여호와께서 명령하신 대로 이스라엘 자손의 모든 맏이를 세었다.
43 All the firstborn males according to the number of names from a month old and upward, of those who were counted of them, were twenty-two thousand two hundred seventy-three.And all the first-born males according to the number of names, from a month old and upward, of those that were numbered of them, were twenty and two thousand two hundred and threescore and thirteen.한 달 이상 된 모든 맏아들의 이름을 세어 계수해 보니 이만이천이백칠십삼 명이었다.
44 Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.
45 “ Take the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel, and the livestock of the Levites instead of their livestock; and the Levites shall be mine. I am Yahweh.Take the Levites instead of all the first-born among the children of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites instead of their cattle; and the Levites shall be mine: I am Jehovah."이스라엘 자손의 모든 맏이를 대신하여 레위 사람들을, 그들의 가축을 대신하여 레위 사람의 가축을 택하여라. 레위 사람들은 내 것이 될 것이다. 나는 여호와다.
46 For the redemption of the two hundred seventy-three of the firstborn of the children of Israel who exceed the number of the Levites,And for the redemption of the two hundred and threescore and thirteen of the first-born of the children of Israel, that are over and above the number of the Levites,레위 사람의 수를 초과하는 이스라엘 자손의 맏이 이백칠십삼 명을 속량하기 위하여,
47 you shall take five shekels apiece for each one; according to the shekel of the sanctuary you shall take them ( the shekel is twenty gerahs );thou shalt take five shekels apiece by the poll; after the shekel of the sanctuary shalt thou take them ( the shekel is twenty gerahs ):너는 한 사람마다 다섯 세겔씩 받되, 성소의 세겔로 받아라(한 세겔은 이십 게라다).
48 and you shall give the money, with which their remainder is redeemed, to Aaron and to his sons.”and thou shalt give the money, wherewith the odd number of them is redeemed, unto Aaron and to his sons.그리고 그 초과한 자들을 속량한 그 돈을 아론과 그의 아들들에게 주어라."
49 Moses took the redemption money from those who exceeded the number of those who were redeemed by the Levites;And Moses took the redemption-money from them that were over and above them that were redeemed by the Levites;그래서 모세는 레위 사람으로 속량된 수를 초과하는 자들에게서 속량의 돈을 받았다.
50 from the firstborn of the children of Israel he took the money, one thousand three hundred sixty-five shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary;from the first-born of the children of Israel took he the money, a thousand three hundred and threescore and five shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary:그는 이스라엘 자손의 맏이에게서 그 돈을 받았으니, 성소의 세겔로 천삼백육십오 세겔이었다.
51 and Moses gave the redemption money to Aaron and to his sons, according to Yahweh’s word, as Yahweh commanded Moses.and Moses gave the redemption-money unto Aaron and to his sons, according to the word of Jehovah, as Jehovah commanded Moses.모세는 여호와의 말씀대로, 여호와께서 모세에게 명령하신 그대로 그 속량의 돈을 아론과 그의 아들들에게 주었다.
