1 Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.
2 “ Make two trumpets of silver. You shall make them of beaten work. You shall use them for the calling of the congregation and for the journeying of the camps.Make thee two trumpets of silver; of beaten work shalt thou make them: and thou shalt use them for the calling of the congregation, and for the journeying of the camps.“은나팔 둘을 만들어라. 두드려 펴서 만들어라. 그것으로 회중을 불러 모으고, 진영을 출발시키는 데 쓰도록 하여라.
3 When they blow them, all the congregation shall gather themselves to you at the door of the Tent of Meeting.And when they shall blow them, all the congregation shall gather themselves unto thee at the door of the tent of meeting.그 나팔을 불면 온 회중이 회막 문 앞 네게로 모이게 하여라.
4 If they blow just one, then the princes, the heads of the thousands of Israel, shall gather themselves to you.And if they blow but one, then the princes, the heads of the thousands of Israel, shall gather themselves unto thee.만일 나팔 하나만 불면 지휘관들, 곧 이스라엘 천부장들이 네게로 모이게 하여라.
5 When you blow an alarm, the camps that lie on the east side shall go forward.And when ye blow an alarm, the camps that lie on the east side shall take their journey.너희가 신호로 크게 불면 동쪽에 진을 친 진영이 출발하여라.
6 When you blow an alarm the second time, the camps that lie on the south side shall go forward. They shall blow an alarm for their journeys.And when ye blow an alarm the second time, the camps that lie on the south side shall take their journey: they shall blow an alarm for their journeys.두 번째로 신호를 크게 불면 남쪽에 진을 친 진영이 출발하여라. 출발할 때에는 이렇게 신호를 크게 불어라.
7 But when the assembly is to be gathered together, you shall blow, but you shall not sound an alarm.But when the assembly is to be gathered together, ye shall blow, but ye shall not sound an alarm.그러나 회중을 함께 모을 때에는 나팔을 불되 크게 신호를 울리지는 말아라.
8 “ The sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow the trumpets. This shall be to you for a statute forever throughout your generations.And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow the trumpets; and they shall be to you for a statute for ever throughout your generations.아론의 아들 제사장들이 그 나팔을 불어라. 이것은 너희 대대에 영원한 규례가 될 것이다.
9 When you go to war in your land against the adversary who oppresses you, then you shall sound an alarm with the trumpets. Then you will be remembered before Yahweh your God, and you will be saved from your enemies.And when ye go to war in your land against the adversary that oppresseth you, then ye shall sound an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before Jehovah your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies.너희 땅에서 너희를 괴롭히는 원수와 싸우러 나갈 때에는 그 나팔로 신호를 크게 불어라. 그리하면 너희 하나님 여호와 앞에 너희가 기억되어 너희 원수에게서 구원을 받을 것이다.
10 “ Also in the day of your gladness, and in your set feasts, and in the beginnings of your months, you shall blow the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; and they shall be to you for a memorial before your God. I am Yahweh your God.”Also in the day of your gladness, and in your set feasts, and in the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow the trumpets over your burnt-offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace-offerings; and they shall be to you for a memorial before your God: I am Jehovah your God.또 너희가 기뻐하는 날과 정한 절기와 매월 초하루에도 너희 번제물과 화목제물 위에 나팔을 불어라. 그것이 너희 하나님 앞에서 너희를 위한 기억의 표가 될 것이다. 나는 너희 하나님 여호와다.”
11 In the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth day of the month, the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle of the covenant.And it came to pass in the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth day of the month, that the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle of the testimony.둘째 해 둘째 달 스무날에 증거의 성막 위에서 구름이 걷혀 올라갔다.
12 The children of Israel went forward on their journeys out of the wilderness of Sinai; and the cloud stayed in the wilderness of Paran.And the children of Israel set forward according to their journeys out of the wilderness of Sinai; and the cloud abode in the wilderness of Paran.이스라엘 자손이 시내 광야를 떠나 행진의 순서대로 나아갔고, 그 구름은 바란 광야에 머물렀다.
13 They first went forward according to the commandment of Yahweh by Moses.And they first took their journey according to the commandment of Jehovah by Moses.그들이 처음으로 출발한 것은 여호와께서 모세를 통해 명하신 대로였다.
14 First, the standard of the camp of the children of Judah went forward according to their armies. Nahshon the son of Amminadab was over his army.And in the first place the standard of the camp of the children of Judah set forward according to their hosts: and over his host was Nahshon the son of Amminadab.맨 앞에 유다 자손 진영의 깃발이 그들의 군대 순서대로 나아갔는데, 암미나답의 아들 나손이 그 군대를 거느렸다.
15 Nethanel the son of Zuar was over the army of the tribe of the children of Issachar.And over the host of the tribe of the children of Issachar was Nethanel the son of Zuar.잇사갈 자손 지파의 군대는 수알의 아들 느다넬이 거느렸다.
16 Eliab the son of Helon was over the army of the tribe of the children of Zebulun.And over the host of the tribe of the children of Zebulun was Eliab the son of Helon.스불론 자손 지파의 군대는 헬론의 아들 엘리압이 거느렸다.
17 The tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari, who bore the tabernacle, went forward.And the tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari, who bare the tabernacle, set forward.성막이 걷히자, 성막을 메는 게르손 자손과 므라리 자손이 나아갔다.
18 The standard of the camp of Reuben went forward according to their armies. Elizur the son of Shedeur was over his army.And the standard of the camp of Reuben set forward according to their hosts: and over his host was Elizur the son of Shedeur.르우벤 진영의 깃발이 그들의 군대 순서대로 나아갔는데, 스데울의 아들 엘리술이 그 군대를 거느렸다.
19 Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai was over the army of the tribe of the children of Simeon.And over the host of the tribe of the children of Simeon was Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.시므온 자손 지파의 군대는 수리삿대의 아들 슬루미엘이 거느렸다.
20 Eliasaph the son of Deuel was over the army of the tribe of the children of Gad.And over the host of the tribe of the children of Gad was Eliasaph the son of Deuel.갓 자손 지파의 군대는 드우엘의 아들 엘리아삽이 거느렸다.
21 The Kohathites set forward, bearing the sanctuary. The others set up the tabernacle before they arrived.And the Kohathites set forward, bearing the sanctuary: and the others did set up the tabernacle against their coming.고핫 사람들이 성소의 기구들을 메고 나아갔으며, 그들이 이르기 전에 다른 사람들이 성막을 세워 두었다.
22 The standard of the camp of the children of Ephraim set forward according to their armies. Elishama the son of Ammihud was over his army.And the standard of the camp of the children of Ephraim set forward according to their hosts: and over his host was Elishama the son of Ammihud.에브라임 자손 진영의 깃발이 그들의 군대 순서대로 나아갔는데, 암미훗의 아들 엘리사마가 그 군대를 거느렸다.
23 Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur was over the army of the tribe of the children of Manasseh.And over the host of the tribe of the children of Manasseh was Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.므낫세 자손 지파의 군대는 브다술의 아들 가말리엘이 거느렸다.
24 Abidan the son of Gideoni was over the army of the tribe of the children of Benjamin.And over the host of the tribe of the children of Benjamin was Abidan the son of Gideoni.베냐민 자손 지파의 군대는 기드오니의 아들 아비단이 거느렸다.
25 The standard of the camp of the children of Dan, which was the rear guard of all the camps, set forward according to their armies. Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai was over his army.And the standard of the camp of the children of Dan, which was the rearward of all the camps, set forward according to their hosts: and over his host was Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.모든 진영의 맨 뒤를 지키는 단 자손 진영의 깃발이 그들의 군대 순서대로 나아갔는데, 암미삿대의 아들 아히에셀이 그 군대를 거느렸다.
26 Pagiel the son of Ochran was over the army of the tribe of the children of Asher.And over the host of the tribe of the children of Asher was Pagiel the son of Ochran.아셀 자손 지파의 군대는 오그란의 아들 바기엘이 거느렸다.
27 Ahira the son of Enan was over the army of the tribe of the children of Naphtali.And over the host of the tribe of the children of Naphtali was Ahira the son of Enan.납달리 자손 지파의 군대는 에난의 아들 아히라가 거느렸다.
28 Thus were the travels of the children of Israel according to their armies; and they went forward.Thus were the journeyings of the children of Israel according to their hosts; and they set forward.이것이 이스라엘 자손이 그들의 군대 순서대로 행진한 것이며, 이렇게 그들은 나아갔다.
29 Moses said to Hobab, the son of Reuel the Midianite, Moses’ father-in-law, “ We are journeying to the place of which Yahweh said, ‘ I will give it to you.’ Come with us, and we will treat you well; for Yahweh has spoken good concerning Israel.”And Moses said unto Hobab, the son of Reuel the Midianite, Moses’ father-in-law, We are journeying unto the place of which Jehovah said, I will give it you: come thou with us, and we will do thee good; for Jehovah hath spoken good concerning Israel.모세가 자기 장인 미디안 사람 르우엘의 아들 호밥에게 말했다. “우리는 여호와께서 ‘내가 너희에게 주겠다’고 하신 그곳으로 가는 길이오. 우리와 함께 갑시다. 우리가 당신을 잘 대접하겠소. 여호와께서 이스라엘에게 복을 주시겠다고 약속하셨소.”
30 He said to him, “ I will not go; but I will depart to my own land, and to my relatives.”And he said unto him, I will not go; but I will depart to mine own land, and to my kindred.호밥이 그에게 말했다. “나는 가지 않겠소. 내 고향, 내 친족에게로 돌아가겠소.”
31 Moses said, “Don’t leave us, please; because you know how we are to encamp in the wilderness, and you can be our eyes.And he said, Leave us not, I pray thee; forasmuch as thou knowest how we are to encamp in the wilderness, and thou shalt be to us instead of eyes.모세가 말했다. “부디 우리를 떠나지 마시오. 우리가 광야에서 어떻게 진을 쳐야 할지 당신이 알고 있으니, 당신이 우리의 눈이 되어 주시오.
32 It shall be, if you go with us — yes, it shall be — that whatever good Yahweh does to us, we will do the same to you.”And it shall be, if thou go with us, yea, it shall be, that what good soever Jehovah shall do unto us, the same will we do unto thee.당신이 우리와 함께 가면, 여호와께서 우리에게 베푸시는 모든 복을 우리도 당신에게 똑같이 베풀겠소.”
33 They set forward from the Mount of Yahweh three days’ journey. The ark of Yahweh’s covenant went before them three days’ journey, to seek out a resting place for them.And they set forward from the mount of Jehovah three days’ journey; and the ark of the covenant of Jehovah went before them three days’ journey, to seek out a resting-place for them.그들이 여호와의 산에서 사흘 길을 행진했다. 여호와의 언약궤가 사흘 길 앞서 나아가며 그들이 쉴 곳을 찾았다.
34 The cloud of Yahweh was over them by day, when they set forward from the camp.And the cloud of Jehovah was over them by day, when they set forward from the camp.그들이 진을 떠나 나아갈 때 여호와의 구름이 낮 동안 그들 위에 있었다.
35 When the ark went forward, Moses said, “ Rise up, Yahweh, and let your enemies be scattered! Let those who hate you flee before you!”And it came to pass, when the ark set forward, that Moses said, Rise up, O Jehovah, and let thine enemies be scattered; and let them that hate thee flee before thee.언약궤가 떠나 나아갈 때면 모세가 이렇게 말했다. “여호와여, 일어나소서! 주의 원수들이 흩어지고, 주를 미워하는 자들이 주 앞에서 도망하게 하소서!”
36 When it rested, he said, “ Return, Yahweh, to the ten thousands of the thousands of Israel.”And when it rested, he said, Return, O Jehovah, unto the ten thousands of the thousands of Israel.또 언약궤가 멈춰 쉴 때면 모세가 이렇게 말했다. “여호와여, 이스라엘의 천만 백성에게 돌아오소서.”
