1 The heads of the fathers’ households of the family of the children of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of the sons of Joseph, came near and spoke before Moses and before the princes, the heads of the fathers’ households of the children of Israel.And the heads of the fathers’ houses of the family of the children of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of the sons of Joseph, came near, and spake before Moses, and before the princes, the heads of the fathers’ houses of the children of Israel:요셉 자손의 가문에 속한 므낫세의 손자이며 마길의 아들인 길르앗 자손의 가문에서 그 조상 집안의 우두머리들이 나아와 모세와 지도자들, 곧 이스라엘 자손의 조상 집안 우두머리들 앞에서 말하였다.
2 They said, “ Yahweh commanded my lord to give the land for inheritance by lot to the children of Israel. My lord was commanded by Yahweh to give the inheritance of Zelophehad our brother to his daughters.and they said, Jehovah commanded my lord to give the land for inheritance by lot to the children of Israel: and my lord was commanded by Jehovah to give the inheritance of Zelophehad our brother unto his daughters.그들이 말하였다. "여호와께서 내 주께 명령하시기를 제비를 뽑아 그 땅을 이스라엘 자손에게 유산으로 나누어 주라 하셨고, 또 내 주께서는 여호와로부터 우리 형제 슬로브핫의 유산을 그의 딸들에게 주라는 명령을 받으셨습니다.
3 If they are married to any of the sons of the other tribes of the children of Israel, then their inheritance will be taken away from the inheritance of our fathers, and will be added to the inheritance of the tribe to which they shall belong. So it will be taken away from the lot of our inheritance.And if they be married to any of the sons of the other tribes of the children of Israel, then will their inheritance be taken away from the inheritance of our fathers, and will be added to the inheritance of the tribe whereunto they shall belong: so will it be taken away from the lot of our inheritance.그런데 만일 그 딸들이 이스라엘 자손의 다른 지파의 아들들과 결혼하면, 그들의 유산이 우리 조상의 유산에서 떨어져 나가 그들이 속하게 될 그 지파의 유산에 더해질 것입니다. 그렇게 되면 우리가 제비 뽑아 받은 유산에서 그만큼 줄어들게 됩니다.
4 When the jubilee of the children of Israel comes, then their inheritance will be added to the inheritance of the tribe to which they shall belong. So their inheritance will be taken away from the inheritance of the tribe of our fathers.”And when the jubilee of the children of Israel shall be, then will their inheritance be added unto the inheritance of the tribe whereunto they shall belong: so will their inheritance be taken away from the inheritance of the tribe of our fathers.또 이스라엘 자손에게 희년이 이르면, 그들의 유산은 그들이 속한 지파의 유산에 더해지고, 그들의 유산은 우리 조상 지파의 유산에서 빠지게 될 것입니다."
5 Moses commanded the children of Israel according to Yahweh’s word, saying, “ The tribe of the sons of Joseph speak what is right.And Moses commanded the children of Israel according to the word of Jehovah, saying, The tribe of the sons of Joseph speaketh right.모세가 여호와의 말씀에 따라 이스라엘 자손에게 명령하여 말하였다. "요셉 자손 지파의 말이 옳다.
6 This is the thing which Yahweh commands concerning the daughters of Zelophehad, saying, ‘ Let them be married to whom they think best, only they shall marry into the family of the tribe of their father.This is the thing which Jehovah doth command concerning the daughters of Zelophehad, saying, Let them be married to whom they think best; only into the family of the tribe of their father shall they be married.여호와께서 슬로브핫의 딸들에 대하여 명령하신 것은 이것이니, 그들은 좋게 여기는 사람과 결혼하되, 다만 자기 조상 지파의 가문 안에서만 결혼해야 한다.
7 So shall no inheritance of the children of Israel move from tribe to tribe; for the children of Israel shall all keep the inheritance of the tribe of his fathers.So shall no inheritance of the children of Israel remove from tribe to tribe; for the children of Israel shall cleave every one to the inheritance of the tribe of his fathers.그리하여 이스라엘 자손의 유산이 이 지파에서 저 지파로 옮겨지지 않게 하라. 이스라엘 자손은 저마다 자기 조상 지파의 유산을 굳게 지켜야 한다.
8 Every daughter who possesses an inheritance in any tribe of the children of Israel shall be wife to one of the family of the tribe of her father, that the children of Israel may each possess the inheritance of his fathers.And every daughter, that possesseth an inheritance in any tribe of the children of Israel, shall be wife unto one of the family of the tribe of her father, that the children of Israel may possess every man the inheritance of his fathers.이스라엘 자손의 어느 지파에서든 유산을 받은 딸은 모두 자기 조상 지파의 가문에 속한 사람과 결혼해야 하니, 이는 이스라엘 자손이 저마다 자기 조상의 유산을 보존하게 하려는 것이다.
9 So shall no inheritance move from one tribe to another tribe; for the tribes of the children of Israel shall each keep his own inheritance.’”So shall no inheritance remove from one tribe to another tribe; for the tribes of the children of Israel shall cleave every one to his own inheritance.그렇게 하여 유산이 한 지파에서 다른 지파로 옮겨지지 않게 하라. 이스라엘 자손의 각 지파는 저마다 자기 유산을 굳게 지켜야 한다."
10 The daughters of Zelophehad did as Yahweh commanded Moses:Even as Jehovah commanded Moses, so did the daughters of Zelophehad:슬로브핫의 딸들은 여호와께서 모세에게 명령하신 대로 행하였다.
11 for Mahlah, Tirzah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Noah, the daughters of Zelophehad, were married to their father’s brothers’ sons.for Mahlah, Tirzah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Noah, the daughters of Zelophehad, were married unto their father’s brothers’ sons.슬로브핫의 딸들인 말라와 디르사와 호글라와 밀가와 노아는 자기 아버지의 형제들의 아들들과 결혼하였다.
12 They were married into the families of the sons of Manasseh the son of Joseph. Their inheritance remained in the tribe of the family of their father.They were married into the families of the sons of Manasseh the son of Joseph; and their inheritance remained in the tribe of the family of their father.그들은 요셉의 아들 므낫세 자손의 가문으로 시집갔고, 그들의 유산은 자기 아버지 가문의 지파 안에 그대로 남게 되었다.
13 These are the commandments and the ordinances which Yahweh commanded by Moses to the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho.These are the commandments and the ordinances which Jehovah commanded by Moses unto the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho.이것은 여호와께서 여리고 맞은편 요단 강 가 모압 평지에서 모세를 통하여 이스라엘 자손에게 명령하신 계명들과 규례들이다.
