12 He did that which was evil in Yahweh his God’s sight. He didn’t humble himself before Jeremiah the prophet speaking from Yahweh’s mouth.and he did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah his God; he humbled not himself before Jeremiah the prophet speaking from the mouth of Jehovah.그는 그의 하나님 여호와께서 보시기에 악한 일을 행했고, 여호와의 입에서 나오는 말씀을 전하는 선지자 예레미야 앞에서 자기를 낮추지 않았다.
13 He also rebelled against King Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear by God; but he stiffened his neck, and hardened his heart against turning to Yahweh, the God of Israel.And he also rebelled against king Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear by God: but he stiffened his neck, and hardened his heart against turning unto Jehovah, the God of Israel.그는 또 느부갓네살 왕에게 반역했는데, 느부갓네살은 그에게 하나님을 두고 맹세하게 했었다. 그러나 그는 목을 곧게 세우고 마음을 완고하게 하여 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와께로 돌아오지 않았다.

17 Therefore he brought on them the king of the Chaldeans, who killed their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and had no compassion on young man or virgin, old man or infirm. 19 They burned God’s house, broke down the wall of Jerusalem, burned all its palaces with fire, and destroyed all of its valuable vessels.And they burnt the house of God, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem, and burnt all the palaces thereof with fire, and destroyed all the goodly vessels thereof.그들은 하나님의 성전을 불사르고, 예루살렘 성벽을 헐고, 그 모든 궁궐을 불태우고, 그 안의 귀한 기물들을 모두 부숴 버렸다.
20 He carried those who had escaped from the sword away to Babylon, and they were servants to him and his sons until the reign of the kingdom of Persia,And them that had escaped from the sword carried he away to Babylon; and they were servants to him and his sons until the reign of the kingdom of Persia:칼을 피해 살아남은 사람들은 바벨론으로 끌려갔고, 페르시아 왕국이 다스리게 될 때까지 그와 그의 자손들의 종이 되었다.
21 to fulfill Yahweh’s word by Jeremiah’s mouth, until the land had enjoyed its Sabbaths. As long as it lay desolate, it kept Sabbath, to fulfill seventy years.to fulfil the word of Jehovah by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed its sabbaths: for as long as it lay desolate it kept sabbath, to fulfil threescore and ten years.이는 예레미야의 입을 통하여 하신 여호와의 말씀을 이루려 함이니, 그 땅이 안식을 누리기까지였다. 그 땅이 황폐한 채로 있는 동안 안식을 지켰으니, 일흔 해를 채우려 함이었다.

23 “ Cyrus king of Persia says, ‘ Yahweh, the God of heaven, has given all the kingdoms of the earth to me; and he has commanded me to build him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Whoever there is among you of all his people, Yahweh his God be with him, and let him go up.’”Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth hath Jehovah, the God of heaven, given me; and he hath charged me to build him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Whosoever there is among you of all his people, Jehovah his God be with him, and let him go up."페르시아 왕 고레스가 이같이 말한다. '하늘의 하나님 여호와께서 땅의 모든 나라를 내게 주셨고, 유다에 있는 예루살렘에 그분을 위하여 성전을 짓도록 내게 명하셨다. 너희 가운데 그분의 백성이 누구든지 있으면, 그의 하나님 여호와께서 그와 함께하시기를 바라며, 그를 올라가게 하라.'"
