1 Now when all this was finished, all Israel who were present went out to the cities of Judah and broke the pillars in pieces, cut down the Asherah poles, and broke down the high places and the altars out of all Judah and Benjamin, also in Ephraim and Manasseh, until they had destroyed them all. Then all the children of Israel returned, every man to his possession, into their own cities.이 모든 일이 끝나자, 그곳에 있던 온 이스라엘이 유다의 성읍들로 나가서 우상 기둥을 부수고 아세라 목상을 찍어 버렸으며, 유다와 베냐민과 또한 에브라임과 므낫세 온 지역에 있는 산당과 제단을 다 헐어 버려서 모조리 없애 버렸다. 그런 다음 모든 이스라엘 자손이 각자 자기 소유지로, 자기 성읍으로 돌아갔다.
2 Hezekiah appointed the divisions of the priests and the Levites after their divisions, every man according to his service, both the priests and the Levites, for burnt offerings and for peace offerings, to minister, to give thanks, and to praise in the gates of Yahweh’s camp.And Hezekiah appointed the courses of the priests and the Levites after their courses, every man according to his service, both the priests and the Levites, for burnt-offerings and for peace-offerings, to minister, and to give thanks, and to praise in the gates of the camp of Jehovah.히스기야는 제사장들과 레위 사람들을 그 반열에 따라 나누어, 각 사람을 그 직무에 따라 세웠다. 곧 제사장과 레위 사람들에게 번제와 화목제를 드리게 하고, 여호와의 진영 문에서 섬기며 감사하고 찬양하게 하였다.
3 He also appointed the king’s portion of his possessions for the burnt offerings: for the morning and evening burnt offerings, and the burnt offerings for the Sabbaths, for the new moons, and for the set feasts, as it is written in Yahweh’s law.He appointed also the king’s portion of his substance for the burnt-offerings, to wit, for the morning and evening burnt-offerings, and the burnt-offerings for the sabbaths, and for the new moons, and for the set feasts, as it is written in the law of Jehovah.그는 또한 자기 재산 가운데서 왕의 몫을 정하여 번제 곧 아침과 저녁의 번제와, 안식일과 초하루와 정해진 절기의 번제에 쓰게 하였으니, 이는 여호와의 율법에 기록된 대로였다.
4 Moreover he commanded the people who lived in Jerusalem to give the portion of the priests and the Levites, that they might give themselves to Yahweh’s law.Moreover he commanded the people that dwelt in Jerusalem to give the portion of the priests and the Levites, that they might give themselves to the law of Jehovah.또한 그는 예루살렘에 사는 백성에게 명하여 제사장과 레위 사람들의 몫을 주게 하였으니, 이는 그들이 여호와의 율법에 전념하게 하려는 것이었다.
5 As soon as the commandment went out, the children of Israel gave in abundance the first fruits of grain, new wine, oil, honey, and of all the increase of the field; and they brought in the tithe of all things abundantly.And as soon as the commandment came abroad, the children of Israel gave in abundance the first-fruits of grain, new wine, and oil, and honey, and of all the increase of the field; and the tithe of all things brought they in abundantly.이 명령이 널리 퍼지자, 이스라엘 자손이 곡식과 새 포도주와 기름과 꿀과 밭의 모든 소출의 첫 열매를 풍성하게 바쳤고, 또 모든 것의 십일조도 풍성하게 가져왔다.
6 The children of Israel and Judah, who lived in the cities of Judah, also brought in the tithe of cattle and sheep, and the tithe of dedicated things which were consecrated to Yahweh their God, and laid them in heaps.And the children of Israel and Judah, that dwelt in the cities of Judah, they also brought in the tithe of oxen and sheep, and the tithe of dedicated things which were consecrated unto Jehovah their God, and laid them by heaps.유다의 성읍들에 사는 이스라엘과 유다 자손도 소와 양의 십일조와, 자기들의 하나님 여호와께 구별하여 드린 거룩한 것의 십일조를 가져와서 무더기로 쌓아 두었다.

8 When Hezekiah and the princes came and saw the heaps, they blessed Yahweh and his people Israel.And when Hezekiah and the princes came and saw the heaps, they blessed Jehovah, and his people Israel.히스기야와 고관들이 와서 그 무더기들을 보고 여호와와 그분의 백성 이스라엘을 송축하였다.
9 Then Hezekiah questioned the priests and the Levites about the heaps.Then Hezekiah questioned the priests and the Levites concerning the heaps.히스기야가 그 무더기들에 관하여 제사장들과 레위 사람들에게 물었더니,
10 Azariah the chief priest, of the house of Zadok, answered him and said, “ Since people began to bring the offerings into Yahweh’s house, we have eaten and had enough, and have plenty left over, for Yahweh has blessed his people; and that which is left is this great store.”And Azariah the chief priest, of the house of Zadok, answered him and said, Since the people began to bring the oblations into the house of Jehovah, we have eaten and had enough, and have left plenty: for Jehovah hath blessed his people; and that which is left is this great store.사독 가문의 대제사장 아사랴가 그에게 대답하여 말하였다. "백성이 여호와의 전에 예물을 가져오기 시작한 이래로, 우리가 먹고도 넉넉하여 많이 남았습니다. 이는 여호와께서 그분의 백성에게 복을 주셨기 때문이며, 이렇게 많이 쌓인 것이 그 남은 것입니다."
11 Then Hezekiah commanded them to prepare rooms in Yahweh’s house, and they prepared them.Then Hezekiah commanded to prepare chambers in the house of Jehovah; and they prepared them;그러자 히스기야가 여호와의 전 안에 방들을 마련하라고 명하니, 그들이 그대로 마련하였다.
12 They brought in the offerings, the tithes, and the dedicated things faithfully. Conaniah the Levite was ruler over them, and Shimei his brother was second.and they brought in the oblations and the tithes and the dedicated things faithfully. And over them Conaniah the Levite was ruler, and Shimei his brother was second;그리고 그들이 예물과 십일조와 거룩하게 구별한 것들을 신실하게 들여왔는데, 그것들을 맡은 책임자는 레위 사람 고나냐였고 그의 동생 시므이가 부책임자였다.
13 Jehiel, Azaziah, Nahath, Asahel, Jerimoth, Jozabad, Eliel, Ismachiah, Mahath, and Benaiah were overseers under the hand of Conaniah and Shimei his brother, by the appointment of Hezekiah the king and Azariah the ruler of God’s house.and Jehiel, and Azaziah, and Nahath, and Asahel, and Jerimoth, and Jozabad, and Eliel, and Ismachiah, and Mahath, and Benaiah, were overseers under the hand of Conaniah and Shimei his brother, by the appointment of Hezekiah the king, and Azariah the ruler of the house of God.여히엘과 아사시야와 나핫과 아사헬과 여리못과 요사밧과 엘리엘과 이스마갸와 마핫과 브나야는 히스기야 왕과 하나님의 전을 다스리는 아사랴의 임명을 받아, 고나냐와 그의 동생 시므이의 지휘 아래 감독으로 일하였다.
14 Kore the son of Imnah the Levite, the gatekeeper at the east gate, was over the free will offerings of God, to distribute Yahweh’s offerings and the most holy things.And Kore the son of Imnah the Levite, the porter at the east gate, was over the freewill-offerings of God, to distribute the oblations of Jehovah, and the most holy things.동쪽 문지기인 레위 사람 임나의 아들 고레는 하나님께 드린 자원하는 예물을 맡아, 여호와께 바친 예물과 지극히 거룩한 것들을 나누어 주는 일을 하였다.
15 Under him were Eden, Miniamin, Jeshua, Shemaiah, Amariah, and Shecaniah, in the cities of the priests, in their office of trust, to give to their brothers by divisions, to the great as well as to the small;And under him were Eden, and Miniamin, and Jeshua, and Shemaiah, Amariah, and Shecaniah, in the cities of the priests, in their office of trust, to give to their brethren by courses, as well to the great as to the small:그의 아래에는 에덴과 미냐민과 예수아와 스마야와 아마랴와 스가냐가 있어, 제사장들의 성읍들에서 맡은 직무를 따라 큰 자에게나 작은 자에게나 그 형제들에게 반열대로 나누어 주었다.
16 in addition to those who were listed by genealogy of males, from three years old and upward, even everyone who entered into Yahweh’s house, as the duty of every day required, for their service in their offices according to their divisions;besides them that were reckoned by genealogy of males, from three years old and upward, even every one that entered into the house of Jehovah, as the duty of every day required, for their service in their offices according to their courses;이 밖에도 족보에 오른 남자들 곧 세 살 이상으로서 여호와의 전에 들어와 날마다의 직무를 행하며 그 반열을 따라 자기 직분에서 섬기는 모든 자에게도 나누어 주었다.
17 and those who were listed by genealogy of the priests by their fathers’ houses, and the Levites from twenty years old and upward, in their offices by their divisions;and them that were reckoned by genealogy of the priests by their fathers’ houses, and the Levites from twenty years old and upward, in their offices by their courses;또 그들의 조상의 가문을 따라 족보에 오른 제사장들과, 스무 살 이상으로 그 반열을 따라 직분을 맡은 레위 사람들에게도 나누어 주었고,
18 and those who were listed by genealogy of all their little ones, their wives, their sons, and their daughters, through all the congregation; for in their office of trust they sanctified themselves in holiness.and them that were reckoned by genealogy of all their little ones, their wives, and their sons, and their daughters, through all the congregation: for in their office of trust they sanctified themselves in holiness.또 온 회중 가운데 족보에 오른 그들의 모든 어린아이와 아내와 아들과 딸들에게도 나누어 주었으니, 이는 그들이 맡은 직무에서 자신을 거룩하게 구별하였기 때문이다.
19 Also for the sons of Aaron the priests, who were in the fields of the pasture lands of their cities, in every city, there were men who were mentioned by name to give portions to all the males among the priests and to all who were listed by genealogy among the Levites.Also for the sons of Aaron the priests, that were in the fields of the suburbs of their cities, in every city, there were men that were mentioned by name, to give portions to all the males among the priests, and to all that were reckoned by genealogy among the Levites.또한 각 성읍의 들과 목초지에 사는 아론 자손인 제사장들을 위하여, 이름이 지명된 사람들이 있어서 제사장 가운데 모든 남자와 레위 사람 가운데 족보에 오른 모든 자에게 그 몫을 나누어 주게 하였다.
20 Hezekiah did so throughout all Judah; and he did that which was good, right, and faithful before Yahweh his God.And thus did Hezekiah throughout all Judah; and he wrought that which was good and right and faithful before Jehovah his God.히스기야가 온 유다에서 이같이 행하여, 자기 하나님 여호와 앞에서 선하고 정직하고 신실한 일을 행하였다.
21 In every work that he began in the service of God’s house, in the law, and in the commandments, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart and prospered.And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, and in the law, and in the commandments, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart, and prospered.그가 하나님의 전을 섬기는 일이든, 율법이든, 계명이든, 자기 하나님을 찾는 일이든, 무릇 그가 시작한 모든 일에서 온 마음을 다하여 행하였으므로 형통하였다.
