3 All the assembly made a covenant with the king in God’s house. Jehoiada said to them, “ Behold, the king’s son must reign, as Yahweh has spoken concerning the sons of David.And all the assembly made a covenant with the king in the house of God. And he said unto them, Behold, the king’s son shall reign, as Jehovah hath spoken concerning the sons of David.온 회중이 하나님의 성전에서 왕과 언약을 맺으니, 여호야다가 그들에게 말하였다. "보라, 왕의 아들이 왕이 될 것이다. 이는 여호와께서 다윗의 자손들에 관하여 말씀하신 대로다.
4 This is the thing that you must do: a third part of you, who come in on the Sabbath, of the priests and of the Levites, shall be gatekeepers of the thresholds.This is the thing that ye shall do: a third part of you, that come in on the sabbath, of the priests and of the Levites, shall be porters of the thresholds;너희가 할 일은 이러하다. 안식일에 당번으로 들어오는 제사장과 레위 사람들 가운데 삼분의 일은 문지기가 되어 문 어귀를 지키고,
5 A third part shall be at the king’s house; and a third part at the gate of the foundation. All the people will be in the courts of Yahweh’s house.and a third part shall be at the king’s house; and a third part at the gate of the foundation: and all the people shall be in the courts of the house of Jehovah.삼분의 일은 왕궁에 있고, 삼분의 일은 기초 문에 있으며, 모든 백성은 여호와의 성전 뜰에 있게 하라.
6 But let no one come into Yahweh’s house except the priests and those who minister of the Levites. They shall come in, for they are holy, but all the people shall follow Yahweh’s instructions.But let none come into the house of Jehovah, save the priests, and they that minister of the Levites; they shall come in, for they are holy: but all the people shall keep the charge of Jehovah.그러나 제사장들과 직무를 맡은 레위 사람들 외에는 아무도 여호와의 성전에 들어오지 못하게 하라. 그들은 거룩하니 들어올 수 있지만, 모든 백성은 여호와께서 명하신 것을 지켜야 한다.
7 The Levites shall surround the king, every man with his weapons in his hand. Whoever comes into the house, let him be slain. Be with the king when he comes in and when he goes out.”And the Levites shall compass the king round about, every man with his weapons in his hand; and whosoever cometh into the house, let him be slain: and be ye with the king when he cometh in, and when he goeth out.레위 사람들은 각자 손에 무기를 들고 왕을 둘러싸라. 누구든지 성전에 들어오는 자는 죽이라. 왕이 들어올 때나 나갈 때나 함께 있으라."
8 So the Levites and all Judah did according to all that Jehoiada the priest commanded. They each took his men, those who were to come in on the Sabbath, with those who were to go out on the Sabbath, for Jehoiada the priest didn’t dismiss the shift.So the Levites and all Judah did according to all that Jehoiada the priest commanded: and they took every man his men, those that were to come in on the sabbath, with those that were to go out on the sabbath; for Jehoiada the priest dismissed not the courses.그래서 레위 사람들과 온 유다가 제사장 여호야다가 명령한 모든 것을 그대로 행하여, 각 사람이 자기 부하들 곧 안식일에 들어오는 자들과 안식일에 나가는 자들을 데리고 왔다. 제사장 여호야다가 당번 조를 돌려보내지 않았기 때문이다.

10 He set all the people, every man with his weapon in his hand, from the right side of the house to the left side of the house, near the altar and the house, around the king.And he set all the people, every man with his weapon in his hand, from the right side of the house to the left side of the house, along by the altar and the house, by the king round about.그가 모든 백성을 각자 손에 무기를 들게 하여, 성전 오른쪽에서 왼쪽까지 제단과 성전 곁을 따라 왕을 둘러서게 하였다.
11 Then they brought out the king’s son, put the crown on him, gave him the covenant, and made him king. Jehoiada and his sons anointed him, and they said, “ Long live the king!”Then they brought out the king’s son, and put the crown upon him, and gave him the testimony, and made him king: and Jehoiada and his sons anointed him; and they said, Long live the king.그러고 나서 그들이 왕의 아들을 데리고 나와 그에게 면류관을 씌우고 증거판을 주어 왕으로 세웠다. 여호야다와 그의 아들들이 그에게 기름을 붓고 "왕이여, 만수무강하소서!" 하고 외쳤다.

13 Then she looked, and behold, the king stood by his pillar at the entrance, with the captains and the trumpeters by the king. All the people of the land rejoiced and blew trumpets. The singers also played musical instruments, and led the singing of praise. Then Athaliah tore her clothes, and said, “ Treason! treason!”and she looked, and, behold, the king stood by his pillar at the entrance, and the captains and the trumpets by the king; and all the people of the land rejoiced, and blew trumpets; the singers also played on instruments of music, and led the singing of praise. Then Athaliah rent her clothes, and said, Treason! treason!그가 보니, 왕이 입구의 기둥 곁에 서 있고 백부장들과 나팔 부는 자들이 왕 곁에 있으며, 그 땅의 모든 백성이 기뻐하며 나팔을 불고, 노래하는 자들도 악기를 연주하며 찬송을 인도하고 있었다. 그러자 아달랴가 자기 옷을 찢으며 "반역이다! 반역이다!" 하고 외쳤다.
14 Jehoiada the priest brought out the captains of hundreds who were set over the army, and said to them, “ Bring her out between the ranks; and whoever follows her, let him be slain with the sword.” For the priest said, “Don’t kill her in Yahweh’s house.”And Jehoiada the priest brought out the captains of hundreds that were set over the host, and said unto them, Have her forth between the ranks; and whoso followeth her, let him be slain with the sword: for the priest said, Slay her not in the house of Jehovah.제사장 여호야다가 군대를 지휘하는 백부장들을 데리고 나와 그들에게 말하였다. "저 여자를 대열 사이로 끌어내고, 누구든지 그를 따르는 자는 칼로 죽이라." 제사장이 "여호와의 성전 안에서는 그를 죽이지 말라"고 말하였기 때문이다.

18 Jehoiada appointed the officers of Yahweh’s house under the hand of the Levitical priests, whom David had distributed in Yahweh’s house, to offer the burnt offerings of Yahweh, as it is written in the law of Moses, with rejoicing and with singing, as David had ordered.And Jehoiada appointed the officers of the house of Jehovah under the hand of the priests the Levites, whom David had distributed in the house of Jehovah, to offer the burnt-offerings of Jehovah, as it is written in the law of Moses, with rejoicing and with singing, according to the order of David.여호야다가 여호와의 성전의 직무를 제사장 레위 사람들의 손에 맡겼으니, 이는 다윗이 여호와의 성전에서 그들에게 임무를 분담시켜, 모세의 율법에 기록된 대로 여호와께 번제를 드리되 기뻐하며 노래하게 하고, 다윗이 정한 규례를 따르게 한 것이었다.
19 He set the gatekeepers at the gates of Yahweh’s house, that no one who was unclean in anything should enter in.And he set the porters at the gates of the house of Jehovah, that none that was unclean in anything should enter in.그가 여호와의 성전 문마다 문지기를 두어, 무엇으로든지 부정한 자는 들어오지 못하게 하였다.
20 He took the captains of hundreds, the nobles, the governors of the people, and all the people of the land, and brought the king down from Yahweh’s house. They came through the upper gate to the king’s house, and set the king on the throne of the kingdom.And he took the captains of hundreds, and the nobles, and the governors of the people, and all the people of the land, and brought down the king from the house of Jehovah: and they came through the upper gate unto the king’s house, and set the king upon the throne of the kingdom.그가 백부장들과 귀족들과 백성의 통치자들과 그 땅의 모든 백성을 데리고, 왕을 여호와의 성전에서 모시고 내려와 윗문을 지나 왕궁으로 들어가서 나라의 보좌에 앉혔다.
21 So all the people of the land rejoiced, and the city was quiet. They had slain Athaliah with the sword.So all the people of the land rejoiced, and the city was quiet. And Athaliah they had slain with the sword.그 땅의 모든 백성이 기뻐하고 성읍이 평온하였으니, 아달랴를 칼로 죽였기 때문이다.
