1 Hezekiah began to reign when he was twenty-five years old, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Abijah, the daughter of Zechariah.Hezekiah began to reign when he was five and twenty years old; and he reigned nine and twenty years in Jerusalem: and his mother’s name was Abijah, the daughter of Zechariah.히스기야는 스물다섯 살에 왕이 되어 예루살렘에서 스물아홉 해 동안 다스렸다. 그의 어머니 이름은 아비야이며, 스가랴의 딸이었다.
2 He did that which was right in Yahweh’s eyes, according to all that David his father had done.And he did that which was right in the eyes of Jehovah, according to all that David his father had done.그는 자기 조상 다윗이 행한 모든 것을 따라 여호와께서 보시기에 옳은 일을 행했다.
3 In the first year of his reign, in the first month, he opened the doors of Yahweh’s house and repaired them.He in the first year of his reign, in the first month, opened the doors of the house of Jehovah, and repaired them.그는 다스리기 시작한 첫째 해 첫째 달에 여호와의 전 문들을 열고 그것을 수리했다.
4 He brought in the priests and the Levites and gathered them together into the wide place on the east,And he brought in the priests and the Levites, and gathered them together into the broad place on the east,그는 제사장들과 레위 사람들을 데려와 동쪽 넓은 광장에 함께 모으고
5 and said to them, “ Listen to me, you Levites! Now sanctify yourselves, and sanctify the house of Yahweh, the God of your fathers, and carry the filthiness out of the holy place.and said unto them, Hear me, ye Levites; now sanctify yourselves, and sanctify the house of Jehovah, the God of your fathers, and carry forth the filthiness out of the holy place.그들에게 말했다. 6 For our fathers were unfaithful, and have done that which was evil in Yahweh our God’s sight, and have forsaken him, and have turned away their faces from the habitation of Yahweh, and turned their backs.For our fathers have trespassed, and done that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah our God, and have forsaken him, and have turned away their faces from the habitation of Jehovah, and turned their backs.우리 조상들이 범죄하여 우리 하나님 여호와께서 보시기에 악한 일을 행하고, 그분을 저버렸으며, 여호와께서 계신 처소에서 얼굴을 돌리고 등을 돌렸소.

8 Therefore Yahweh’s wrath was on Judah and Jerusalem, and he has delivered them to be tossed back and forth, to be an astonishment and a hissing, as you see with your eyes.Wherefore the wrath of Jehovah was upon Judah and Jerusalem, and he hath delivered them to be tossed to and fro, to be an astonishment, and a hissing, as ye see with your eyes.그러므로 여호와의 진노가 유다와 예루살렘에 임했으니, 여러분이 눈으로 보는 것처럼 그분께서 그들을 이리저리 내던져지게 하시고, 놀라움과 조롱거리가 되게 하셨소.
9 For behold, our fathers have fallen by the sword, and our sons and our daughters and our wives are in captivity for this.For, lo, our fathers have fallen by the sword, and our sons and our daughters and our wives are in captivity for this.보시오, 이 일로 우리 조상들은 칼에 쓰러졌고, 우리 아들들과 딸들과 아내들은 사로잡혀 갔소.
10 Now it is in my heart to make a covenant with Yahweh, the God of Israel, that his fierce anger may turn away from us.Now it is in my heart to make a covenant with Jehovah, the God of Israel, that his fierce anger may turn away from us.이제 내 마음에는 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와와 언약을 맺어, 그분의 맹렬한 진노가 우리에게서 떠나가게 하려는 뜻이 있소.
11 My sons, don’t be negligent now; for Yahweh has chosen you to stand before him, to minister to him, and that you should be his ministers and burn incense.”My sons, be not now negligent; for Jehovah hath chosen you to stand before him, to minister unto him, and that ye should be his ministers, and burn incense.내 아들들이여, 이제 게으름을 부리지 마시오. 여호와께서 여러분을 택하여 그분 앞에 서서 섬기게 하시고, 여러분을 그분의 일꾼으로 삼아 분향하게 하셨소."
12 Then the Levites arose: Mahath, the son of Amasai, and Joel the son of Azariah, of the sons of the Kohathites; and of the sons of Merari, Kish the son of Abdi, and Azariah the son of Jehallelel; and of the Gershonites, Joah the son of Zimmah, and Eden the son of Joah;Then the Levites arose, Mahath, the son of Amasai, and Joel the son of Azariah, of the sons of the Kohathites; and of the sons of Merari, Kish the son of Abdi, and Azariah the son of Jehallelel; and of the Gershonites, Joah the son of Zimmah, and Eden the son of Joah;그러자 레위 사람들이 일어났다. 곧 고핫 자손 중에서는 아마새의 아들 마핫과 아사랴의 아들 요엘이요, 므라리 자손 중에서는 압디의 아들 기스와 여할렐렐의 아들 아사랴요, 게르손 사람 중에서는 심마의 아들 요아와 요아의 아들 에덴이요,
13 and of the sons of Elizaphan, Shimri and Jeuel; and of the sons of Asaph, Zechariah and Mattaniah;and of the sons of Elizaphan, Shimri and Jeuel; and of the sons of Asaph, Zechariah and Mattaniah;엘리사반 자손 중에서는 시므리와 여우엘이요, 아삽 자손 중에서는 스가랴와 맛다냐요,
14 and of the sons of Heman, Jehuel and Shimei; and of the sons of Jeduthun, Shemaiah and Uzziel.and of the sons of Heman, Jehuel and Shimei; and of the sons of Jeduthun, Shemaiah and Uzziel.헤만 자손 중에서는 여후엘과 시므이요, 여두둔 자손 중에서는 스마야와 웃시엘이었다.
15 They gathered their brothers, sanctified themselves, and went in, according to the commandment of the king by Yahweh’s words, to cleanse Yahweh’s house.And they gathered their brethren, and sanctified themselves, and went in, according to the commandment of the king by the words of Jehovah, to cleanse the house of Jehovah.그들은 형제들을 모으고 자신을 거룩하게 한 뒤, 여호와의 말씀을 따른 왕의 명령대로 여호와의 전을 정결하게 하려고 들어갔다.
16 The priests went into the inner part of Yahweh’s house to cleanse it, and brought out all the uncleanness that they found in Yahweh’s temple into the court of Yahweh’s house. The Levites took it from there to carry it out to the brook Kidron.And the priests went in unto the inner part of the house of Jehovah, to cleanse it, and brought out all the uncleanness that they found in the temple of Jehovah into the court of the house of Jehovah. And the Levites took it, to carry it out abroad to the brook Kidron.제사장들은 여호와의 전 안쪽으로 들어가 그곳을 정결하게 하고, 여호와의 성전에서 발견한 모든 더러운 것을 여호와의 전 뜰로 내왔다. 레위 사람들이 그것을 받아 밖으로 가져가 기드론 시내로 옮겼다.
17 Now they began on the first day of the first month to sanctify, and on the eighth day of the month they came to Yahweh’s porch. They sanctified Yahweh’s house in eight days, and on the sixteenth day of the first month they finished.Now they began on the first day of the first month to sanctify, and on the eighth day of the month came they to the porch of Jehovah; and they sanctified the house of Jehovah in eight days: and on the sixteenth day of the first month they made an end.그들은 첫째 달 초하루에 거룩하게 하기를 시작하여, 그달 여드렛날에 여호와의 현관에 이르렀고, 여드레 동안 여호와의 전을 거룩하게 하여 첫째 달 열엿새 날에 일을 마쳤다.
18 Then they went in to Hezekiah the king within the palace and said, “ We have cleansed all Yahweh’s house, including the altar of burnt offering with all its vessels, and the table of show bread with all its vessels.Then they went in to Hezekiah the king within the palace, and said, We have cleansed all the house of Jehovah, and the altar of burnt-offering, with all the vessels thereof, and the table of showbread, with all the vessels thereof.그러고 나서 그들은 궁궐 안으로 히스기야 왕에게 들어가 말했다. "우리가 여호와의 온 전과 번제단과 그 모든 기구와 진설병 상과 그 모든 기구를 정결하게 했습니다.
19 Moreover, we have prepared and sanctified all the vessels which King Ahaz threw away in his reign when he was unfaithful. Behold, they are before Yahweh’s altar.”Moreover all the vessels, which king Ahaz in his reign did cast away when he trespassed, have we prepared and sanctified; and, behold, they are before the altar of Jehovah.또한 아하스 왕이 다스리던 때 범죄하여 내버린 모든 기구도 우리가 갖추고 거룩하게 했으니, 보십시오, 그것들이 여호와의 제단 앞에 있습니다."
20 Then Hezekiah the king arose early, gathered the princes of the city, and went up to Yahweh’s house.Then Hezekiah the king arose early, and gathered the princes of the city, and went up to the house of Jehovah.그러자 히스기야 왕이 아침 일찍 일어나 성읍의 고관들을 모으고 여호와의 전으로 올라갔다.
21 They brought seven bulls, seven rams, seven lambs, and seven male goats, for a sin offering for the kingdom, for the sanctuary, and for Judah. He commanded the priests the sons of Aaron to offer them on Yahweh’s altar.And they brought seven bullocks, and seven rams, and seven lambs, and seven he-goats, for a sin-offering for the kingdom and for the sanctuary and for Judah. And he commanded the priests the sons of Aaron to offer them on the altar of Jehovah.그들은 수송아지 일곱 마리와 숫양 일곱 마리와 어린 양 일곱 마리와 숫염소 일곱 마리를 끌고 와서, 나라와 성소와 유다를 위한 속죄제물로 삼았다. 왕은 아론의 자손인 제사장들에게 그것들을 여호와의 제단 위에 드리라고 명했다.
22 So they killed the bulls, and the priests received the blood and sprinkled it on the altar. They killed the rams and sprinkled the blood on the altar. They also killed the lambs and sprinkled the blood on the altar.So they killed the bullocks, and the priests received the blood, and sprinkled it on the altar: and they killed the rams, and sprinkled the blood upon the altar: they killed also the lambs, and sprinkled the blood upon the altar.그래서 그들이 수송아지들을 잡으니 제사장들이 그 피를 받아 제단에 뿌렸고, 숫양들을 잡아 그 피를 제단에 뿌렸으며, 어린 양들도 잡아 그 피를 제단에 뿌렸다.
23 They brought near the male goats for the sin offering before the king and the assembly; and they laid their hands on them.And they brought near the he-goats for the sin-offering before the king and the assembly; and they laid their hands upon them:그들이 속죄제물로 쓸 숫염소들을 왕과 회중 앞으로 끌어오니, 그들이 그 위에 손을 얹었다.
24 Then the priests killed them, and they made a sin offering with their blood on the altar, to make atonement for all Israel; for the king commanded that the burnt offering and the sin offering should be made for all Israel.and the priests killed them, and they made a sin-offering with their blood upon the altar, to make atonement for all Israel; for the king commanded that the burnt-offering and the sin-offering should be made for all Israel.그리고 제사장들이 그것들을 잡아 그 피로 제단 위에서 속죄제를 드려 온 이스라엘을 위해 속죄했으니, 이는 왕이 온 이스라엘을 위해 번제와 속죄제를 드리라고 명했기 때문이다.
25 He set the Levites in Yahweh’s house with cymbals, with stringed instruments, and with harps, according to the commandment of David, of Gad the king’s seer, and Nathan the prophet; for the commandment was from Yahweh by his prophets.And he set the Levites in the house of Jehovah with cymbals, with psalteries, and with harps, according to the commandment of David, and of Gad the king’s seer, and Nathan the prophet; for the commandment was of Jehovah by his prophets.그는 다윗과 왕의 선견자 갓과 선지자 나단의 명령대로 레위 사람들을 여호와의 전에 세워 제금과 비파와 수금을 잡게 했으니, 이는 그 명령이 그분의 선지자들을 통해 주신 여호와의 명령이었기 때문이다.
26 The Levites stood with David’s instruments, and the priests with the trumpets.And the Levites stood with the instruments of David, and the priests with the trumpets.레위 사람들은 다윗의 악기를 들고 서고, 제사장들은 나팔을 들고 섰다.
27 Hezekiah commanded them to offer the burnt offering on the altar. When the burnt offering began, Yahweh’s song also began, along with the trumpets and instruments of David king of Israel.And Hezekiah commanded to offer the burnt-offering upon the altar. And when the burnt-offering began, the song of Jehovah began also, and the trumpets, together with the instruments of David king of Israel.히스기야가 번제를 제단 위에 드리라고 명하자, 번제를 드리기 시작할 때에 여호와를 찬송하는 노래도 시작되었고, 나팔이 울리며 이스라엘 왕 다윗의 악기도 함께 울렸다.
28 All the assembly worshiped, the singers sang, and the trumpeters sounded. All this continued until the burnt offering was finished.And all the assembly worshipped, and the singers sang, and the trumpeters sounded; all this continued until the burnt-offering was finished.온 회중이 경배하고, 노래하는 사람들은 노래하며, 나팔 부는 사람들은 나팔을 불었으니, 이 모든 일이 번제를 마칠 때까지 계속되었다.
29 When they had finished offering, the king and all who were present with him bowed themselves and worshiped.And when they had made an end of offering, the king and all that were present with him bowed themselves and worshipped.번제 드리기를 마치자, 왕과 그와 함께 있던 모든 사람이 엎드려 경배했다.
30 Moreover Hezekiah the king and the princes commanded the Levites to sing praises to Yahweh with the words of David, and of Asaph the seer. 31 Then Hezekiah answered, “ Now you have consecrated yourselves to Yahweh. Come near and bring sacrifices and thank offerings into Yahweh’s house.” The assembly brought in sacrifices and thank offerings, and as many as were of a willing heart brought burnt offerings.Then Hezekiah answered and said, Now ye have consecrated yourselves unto Jehovah; come near and bring sacrifices and thank-offerings into the house of Jehovah. And the assembly brought in sacrifices and thank-offerings; and as many as were of a willing heart brought burnt-offerings.그때 히스기야가 말했다. "이제 여러분이 자신을 여호와께 드렸으니, 가까이 나아와 여호와의 전으로 제물과 감사제물을 가져오시오." 그러자 회중이 제물과 감사제물을 가져왔고, 마음에서 우러나온 사람들은 모두 번제물을 가져왔다.
32 The number of the burnt offerings which the assembly brought was seventy bulls, one hundred rams, and two hundred lambs. All these were for a burnt offering to Yahweh.And the number of the burnt-offerings which the assembly brought was threescore and ten bullocks, a hundred rams, and two hundred lambs: all these were for a burnt-offering to Jehovah.회중이 가져온 번제물의 수는 수소 일흔 마리와 숫양 백 마리와 어린 양 이백 마리였으니, 이 모두가 여호와께 드리는 번제물이었다.
33 The consecrated things were six hundred head of cattle and three thousand sheep.And the consecrated things were six hundred oxen and three thousand sheep.거룩하게 구별한 제물은 소 육백 마리와 양 삼천 마리였다.
34 But the priests were too few, so that they could not skin all the burnt offerings. Therefore their brothers the Levites helped them until the work was ended, and until the priests had sanctified themselves, for the Levites were more upright in heart to sanctify themselves than the priests.But the priests were too few, so that they could not flay all the burnt-offerings: wherefore their brethren the Levites did help them, till the work was ended, and until the priests had sanctified themselves; for the Levites were more upright in heart to sanctify themselves than the priests.그러나 제사장들이 너무 적어서 번제물의 가죽을 다 벗기지 못했으므로, 그 형제 레위 사람들이 일이 끝날 때까지, 또 제사장들이 자신을 거룩하게 할 때까지 그들을 도왔으니, 이는 레위 사람들이 제사장들보다 마음을 다해 자신을 거룩하게 하는 데 더 정직했기 때문이다.
35 Also the burnt offerings were in abundance, with the fat of the peace offerings and with the drink offerings for every burnt offering. So the service of Yahweh’s house was set in order.And also the burnt-offerings were in abundance, with the fat of the peace-offerings, and with the drink-offerings for every burnt-offering. So the service of the house of Jehovah was set in order.또한 번제물이 풍성했고, 화목제물의 기름과 각 번제에 따른 전제도 함께 드렸다. 이렇게 하여 여호와의 전 예배가 질서 있게 세워졌다.
36 Hezekiah and all the people rejoiced because of that which God had prepared for the people; for the thing was done suddenly.And Hezekiah rejoiced, and all the people, because of that which God had prepared for the people: for the thing was done suddenly.히스기야와 온 백성은 하나님께서 백성을 위해 예비하신 일로 인해 기뻐했으니, 이는 그 일이 갑작스럽게 이루어졌기 때문이다.
