1 Jehoshaphat the king of Judah returned to his house in peace to Jerusalem.And Jehoshaphat the king of Judah returned to his house in peace to Jerusalem.유다 왕 여호사밧이 평안히 예루살렘 자기 궁으로 돌아왔다.
2 Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to King Jehoshaphat, “ Should you help the wicked, and love those who hate Yahweh? Because of this, wrath is on you from before Yahweh.And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the wicked, and love them that hate Jehovah? for this thing wrath is upon thee from before Jehovah.선견자 하나니의 아들 예후가 그를 맞으러 나가서 여호사밧 왕에게 말하였다. "왕께서 악한 자를 돕고 여호와를 미워하는 자들을 사랑하시는 것이 옳은 일입니까? 이 일 때문에 여호와 앞에서 진노가 왕께 임하였습니다.
3 Nevertheless there are good things found in you, in that you have put away the Asheroth out of the land, and have set your heart to seek God.”Nevertheless there are good things found in thee, in that thou hast put away the Asheroth out of the land, and hast set thy heart to seek God.그러나 왕에게서 선한 일도 발견되니, 곧 왕이 이 땅에서 아세라 목상들을 없애고 마음을 기울여 하나님을 찾으신 것입니다."
4 Jehoshaphat lived at Jerusalem; and he went out again among the people from Beersheba to the hill country of Ephraim, and brought them back to Yahweh, the God of their fathers.And Jehoshaphat dwelt at Jerusalem: and he went out again among the people from Beer-sheba to the hill-country of Ephraim, and brought them back unto Jehovah, the God of their fathers.여호사밧이 예루살렘에 살더니, 다시 백성 가운데로 나아가 브엘세바에서부터 에브라임 산지에 이르기까지 두루 다니며 그들을 그 조상의 하나님 여호와께로 돌아오게 하였다.
5 He set judges in the land throughout all the fortified cities of Judah, city by city,And he set judges in the land throughout all the fortified cities of Judah, city by city,그는 유다의 모든 견고한 성읍마다 성읍을 따라 재판관들을 세우고,
6 and said to the judges, “ Consider what you do, for you don’t judge for man, but for Yahweh; and he is with you in the judgment.and said to the judges, Consider what ye do: for ye judge not for man, but for Jehovah; and he is with you in the judgment.그 재판관들에게 말하였다. "너희가 하는 일을 잘 살펴라. 너희는 사람을 위하여 재판하는 것이 아니라 여호와를 위하여 재판하는 것이니, 재판할 때에 여호와께서 너희와 함께 계신다.
7 Now therefore let the fear of Yahweh be on you. Take heed and do it; for there is no iniquity with Yahweh our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of bribes.”Now therefore let the fear of Jehovah be upon you; take heed and do it: for there is no iniquity with Jehovah our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of bribes.그러므로 이제 여호와를 두려워하는 마음을 가지고, 삼가 행하여라. 우리 하나님 여호와께는 불의함도 없고, 사람의 외모를 보는 일도 없으며, 뇌물을 받으시는 일도 없다."
8 Moreover in Jerusalem Jehoshaphat appointed certain Levites, priests, and heads of the fathers’ households of Israel to give judgment for Yahweh and for controversies. They returned to Jerusalem.Moreover in Jerusalem did Jehoshaphat set of the Levites and the priests, and of the heads of the fathers’ houses of Israel, for the judgment of Jehovah, and for controversies. And they returned to Jerusalem.또 여호사밧이 예루살렘에서 레위 사람들과 제사장들과 이스라엘 가문의 우두머리들 가운데서 사람을 세워, 여호와의 재판과 소송을 맡게 하였다. 그들은 예루살렘으로 돌아왔다.
9 He commanded them, saying, “ You shall do this in the fear of Yahweh, faithfully, and with a perfect heart.And he charged them, saying, Thus shall ye do in the fear of Jehovah, faithfully, and with a perfect heart.그가 그들에게 명하여 말하였다. "너희는 여호와를 두려워하는 마음으로, 신실하게, 온전한 마음으로 이렇게 행하여라.
10 Whenever any controversy comes to you from your brothers who dwell in their cities, between blood and blood, between law and commandment, statutes and ordinances, you must warn them, that they not be guilty toward Yahweh, and so wrath come on you and on your brothers. Do this, and you will not be guilty.And whensoever any controversy shall come to you from your brethren that dwell in their cities, between blood and blood, between law and commandment, statutes and ordinances, ye shall warn them, that they be not guilty towards Jehovah, and so wrath come upon you and upon your brethren: this do, and ye shall not be guilty.자기 성읍에 사는 너희 형제들에게서 어떤 소송이 너희에게 올 때마다, 곧 피를 흘린 일이든, 율법과 계명에 관한 일이든, 규례와 법도에 관한 일이든, 너희는 그들을 깨우쳐서 여호와께 죄를 짓지 않게 하여라. 그래야 진노가 너희와 너희 형제들에게 임하지 않을 것이다. 이렇게 하면 너희가 죄가 없을 것이다.
11 Behold, Amariah the chief priest is over you in all matters of Yahweh; and Zebadiah the son of Ishmael, the ruler of the house of Judah, in all the king’s matters. Also the Levites shall be officers before you. Deal courageously, and may Yahweh be with the good.”And, behold, Amariah the chief priest is over you in all matters of Jehovah; and Zebadiah the son of Ishmael, the ruler of the house of Judah, in all the king’s matters: also the Levites shall be officers before you. Deal courageously, and Jehovah be with the good.보아라, 여호와의 모든 일에는 대제사장 아마랴가 너희를 다스리고, 왕의 모든 일에는 유다 가문의 통치자 이스마엘의 아들 스바댜가 너희를 다스릴 것이며, 레위 사람들도 너희 앞에서 관리가 될 것이다. 담대하게 행하여라. 여호와께서 선한 자와 함께하시기를 바란다."
