1 Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.
2 “ Speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘ If a woman conceives, and bears a male child, then she shall be unclean seven days; as in the days of her monthly period she shall be unclean.Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a woman conceive seed, and bear a man-child, then she shall be unclean seven days; as in the days of the impurity of her sickness shall she be unclean."이스라엘 자손에게 일러 말하여라. '여자가 임신하여 아들을 낳으면 이레 동안 부정하니, 월경할 때처럼 부정하다.
3 In the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.And in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.여드레째 되는 날에는 그 아이의 포피를 베어 할례를 행해야 한다.
4 She shall continue in the blood of purification thirty-three days. She shall not touch any holy thing, nor come into the sanctuary, until the days of her purifying are completed.And she shall continue in the blood of her purifying three and thirty days; she shall touch no hallowed thing, nor come into the sanctuary, until the days of her purifying be fulfilled.그 여자는 정결하게 되는 피흘림이 끝날 때까지 서른세 날을 더 지내야 한다. 정결하게 되는 날들이 다 차기까지는 거룩한 것을 만지지도 말고 성소에 들어가지도 말아야 한다.
5 But if she bears a female child, then she shall be unclean two weeks, as in her period; and she shall continue in the blood of purification sixty-six days.But if she bear a maid-child, then she shall be unclean two weeks, as in her impurity; and she shall continue in the blood of her purifying threescore and six days.그러나 딸을 낳으면 월경할 때처럼 두 주 동안 부정하고, 정결하게 되는 피흘림이 끝날 때까지 예순여섯 날을 더 지내야 한다.
6 “‘ When the days of her purification are completed for a son or for a daughter, she shall bring to the priest at the door of the Tent of Meeting, a year old lamb for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon or a turtledove, for a sin offering.And when the days of her purifying are fulfilled, for a son, or for a daughter, she shall bring a lamb a year old for a burnt-offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtle-dove, for a sin-offering, unto the door of the tent of meeting, unto the priest:정결하게 되는 날들이 다 차면, 아들을 낳았든 딸을 낳았든, 일 년 된 어린양 한 마리를 번제물로, 어린 비둘기나 산비둘기 한 마리를 속죄제물로, 회막 문 앞 제사장에게 가져가야 한다.
7 He shall offer it before Yahweh, and make atonement for her; then she shall be cleansed from the fountain of her blood. “‘ This is the law for her who bears, whether a male or a female.and he shall offer it before Jehovah, and make atonement for her; and she shall be cleansed from the fountain of her blood. This is the law for her that beareth, whether a male or a female.제사장은 그것을 여호와 앞에 드려 그 여자를 위해 속죄해야 한다. 그러면 그 여자는 출혈의 근원에서 깨끗하게 된다. 이것이 아들을 낳든 딸을 낳든 아이를 낳은 여자에 관한 율법이다.
8 If she cannot afford a lamb, then she shall take two turtledoves or two young pigeons: the one for a burnt offering, and the other for a sin offering. The priest shall make atonement for her, and she shall be clean.’”And if her means suffice not for a lamb, then she shall take two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons; the one for a burnt-offering, and the other for a sin-offering: and the priest shall make atonement for her, and she shall be clean.만일 그 여자가 어린양을 마련할 형편이 못 되면, 산비둘기 두 마리나 어린 비둘기 두 마리를 가져다가 하나는 번제물로, 다른 하나는 속죄제물로 삼아야 한다. 제사장이 그 여자를 위해 속죄하면 그 여자는 정결하게 된다.'"
