1 Now on the second Sabbath after the first, he was going through the grain fields. His disciples plucked the heads of grain and ate, rubbing them in their hands.Now it came to pass on a sabbath, that he was going through the grainfields; and his disciples plucked the ears, and did eat, rubbing them in their hands.어느 안식일에 예수께서 밀밭 사이를 지나가시는데, 그분의 제자들이 이삭을 잘라 손으로 비벼 먹었다.
2 But some of the Pharisees said to them, “ Why do you do that which is not lawful to do on the Sabbath day?”But certain of the Pharisees said, Why do ye that which it is not lawful to do on the sabbath day?그러자 몇몇 바리새파 사람들이 그들에게 말했다. "어찌하여 당신들은 안식일에 해서는 안 되는 일을 하는 것이오?"
3 Jesus, answering them, said, “Haven’ t you read what David did when he was hungry, he and those who were with him,And Jesus answering them said, Have ye not read even this, what David did, when he was hungry, he, and they that were with him;예수께서 그들에게 대답하여 말씀하셨다. "다윗과 그의 일행이 배고팠을 때 다윗이 한 일을 너희가 읽어 보지 못했느냐?
4 how he entered into God’s house, and took and ate the show bread, and gave also to those who were with him, which is not lawful to eat except for the priests alone?”how he entered into the house of God, and took and ate the showbread, and gave also to them that were with him; which it is not lawful to eat save for the priests alone?그가 어떻게 하나님의 집에 들어가 제사장 외에는 먹어서는 안 되는 진설병을 가져다 먹고 자기와 함께 있던 사람들에게도 주지 않았느냐?"
5 He said to them, “ The Son of Man is lord of the Sabbath.”And he said unto them, The Son of man is lord of the sabbath.예수께서 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "인자는 안식일의 주인이다."
6 It also happened on another Sabbath that he entered into the synagogue and taught. There was a man there, and his right hand was withered.And it came to pass on another sabbath, that he entered into the synagogue and taught: and there was a man there, and his right hand was withered.또 다른 안식일에 예수께서 회당에 들어가 가르치셨다. 거기에 오른손이 마른 사람이 있었다.
7 The scribes and the Pharisees watched him, to see whether he would heal on the Sabbath, that they might find an accusation against him.And the scribes and the Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath; that they might find how to accuse him.율법학자들과 바리새파 사람들은 예수를 고발할 구실을 찾으려고, 그분이 안식일에 병을 고치시는지 지켜보고 있었다.
8 But he knew their thoughts; and he said to the man who had the withered hand, “ Rise up and stand in the middle.” He arose and stood.But he knew their thoughts; and he said to the man that had his hand withered, Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose and stood forth.그러나 예수께서는 그들의 생각을 아시고, 손이 마른 그 사람에게 말씀하셨다. "일어나 가운데로 나와 서라." 그가 일어나 섰다.
9 Then Jesus said to them, “ I will ask you something: Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good, or to do harm? To save a life, or to kill?”And Jesus said unto them, I ask you, Is it lawful on the sabbath to do good, or to do harm? to save a life, or to destroy it?그때 예수께서 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "내가 너희에게 한 가지 묻겠다. 안식일에 선을 행하는 것이 옳으냐, 악을 행하는 것이 옳으냐? 생명을 구하는 것이 옳으냐, 죽이는 것이 옳으냐?"
10 He looked around at them all, and said to the man, “ Stretch out your hand.” He did, and his hand was restored as sound as the other.And he looked round about on them all, and said unto him, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored.그리고 그들 모두를 둘러보신 뒤, 그 사람에게 말씀하셨다. "네 손을 내밀라." 그가 그렇게 하니, 그의 손이 다른 손처럼 온전하게 회복되었다.
11 But they were filled with rage, and talked with one another about what they might do to Jesus.But they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus.그러나 그들은 분노에 가득 차서, 예수를 어떻게 할지 서로 의논하였다.
12 In these days, he went out to the mountain to pray, and he continued all night in prayer to God.And it came to pass in these days, that he went out into the mountain to pray; and he continued all night in prayer to God.그 무렵에 예수께서 기도하러 산으로 나가셔서, 밤새도록 하나님께 기도하셨다.
13 When it was day, he called his disciples, and from them he chose twelve, whom he also named apostles:And when it was day, he called his disciples; and he chose from them twelve, whom also he named apostles:날이 밝자 예수께서 제자들을 부르시고, 그들 가운데서 열둘을 택하여 사도라 이름하셨다.
14 Simon, whom he also named Peter; Andrew, his brother; James; John; Philip; Bartholomew;Simon, whom he also named Peter, and Andrew his brother, and James and John, and Philip and Bartholomew,곧 베드로라고도 이름하신 시몬과 그의 형제 안드레, 야고보와 요한, 빌립과 바돌로매,
15 Matthew; Thomas; James the son of Alphaeus; Simon who was called the Zealot;and Matthew and Thomas, and James the son of Alphæus, and Simon who was called the Zealot,마태와 도마, 알패오의 아들 야고보, 열심당이라 불리던 시몬,
16 Judas the son of James; and Judas Iscariot, who also became a traitor.and Judas the son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor;야고보의 아들 유다, 그리고 배신자가 된 가룟 유다였다.
17 He came down with them and stood on a level place, with a crowd of his disciples and a great number of the people from all Judea and Jerusalem and the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear him and to be healed of their diseases,and he came down with them, and stood on a level place, and a great multitude of his disciples, and a great number of the people from all Judæa and Jerusalem, and the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases;예수께서 그들과 함께 내려와 평평한 곳에 서셨는데, 거기에는 많은 제자 무리와 온 유대와 예루살렘, 그리고 두로와 시돈 해안 지방에서 온 큰 무리의 사람들이 있었다. 그들은 예수의 말씀을 듣고 자기 병을 고치려고 온 사람들이었다.
18 as well as those who were troubled by unclean spirits; and they were being healed.and they that were troubled with unclean spirits were healed.더러운 영에게 시달리던 사람들도 함께 있었는데, 그들도 고침을 받았다.
19 All the multitude sought to touch him, for power came out of him and healed them all.And all the multitude sought to touch him; for power came forth from him, and healed them all.온 무리가 예수를 만지려 하였으니, 능력이 그분에게서 나와 그들 모두를 고쳤기 때문이다.
20 He lifted up his eyes to his disciples, and said: “ Blessed are you who are poor, for God’s Kingdom is yours.And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed are ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.예수께서 눈을 들어 제자들을 보시며 말씀하셨다. "너희 가난한 사람들은 복이 있다. 하나님 나라가 너희 것이기 때문이다.
21 Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be filled. Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh.Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh.지금 굶주리는 너희는 복이 있다. 너희가 배부르게 될 것이기 때문이다. 지금 우는 너희는 복이 있다. 너희가 웃게 될 것이기 때문이다.
22 Blessed are you when men hate you, and when they exclude and mock you, and throw out your name as evil, for the Son of Man’s sake.Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake.인자 때문에 사람들이 너희를 미워하고, 따돌리고, 조롱하며, 너희 이름을 악한 것으로 내쫓을 때, 너희는 복이 있다.
23 Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven, for their fathers did the same thing to the prophets.Rejoice in that day, and leap for joy: for behold, your reward is great in heaven; for in the same manner did their fathers unto the prophets.그날에 기뻐하고 뛰놀아라. 보아라, 하늘에서 너희가 받을 상이 크다. 그들의 조상들도 선지자들에게 똑같이 행하였다.
24 “ But woe to you who are rich! For you have received your consolation.But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation.그러나 부유한 너희에게는 화가 있다. 너희가 이미 너희 위로를 받았기 때문이다.
25 Woe to you, you who are full now, for you will be hungry. Woe to you who laugh now, for you will mourn and weep.Woe unto you, ye that are full now! for ye shall hunger. Woe unto you, ye that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep.지금 배부른 너희에게 화가 있다. 너희가 굶주리게 될 것이기 때문이다. 지금 웃는 너희에게 화가 있다. 너희가 슬퍼하며 울게 될 것이기 때문이다.
26 Woe, when men speak well of you, for their fathers did the same thing to the false prophets.Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for in the same manner did their fathers to the false prophets.사람들이 모두 너희를 좋게 말할 때 화가 있다. 그들의 조상들도 거짓 선지자들에게 똑같이 행하였다.
27 “ But I tell you who hear: love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,But I say unto you that hear, Love your enemies, do good to them that hate you,그러나 내 말을 듣는 너희에게 내가 이르노니, 너희 원수를 사랑하고, 너희를 미워하는 사람들에게 선을 행하여라.
28 bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you.bless them that curse you, pray for them that despitefully use you.너희를 저주하는 사람들을 축복하고, 너희를 학대하는 사람들을 위하여 기도하여라.
29 To him who strikes you on the cheek, offer also the other; and from him who takes away your cloak, don’ t withhold your coat also.To him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and from him that taketh away thy cloak withhold not thy coat also.네 한쪽 뺨을 치는 사람에게는 다른 쪽 뺨도 돌려대고, 네 겉옷을 빼앗는 사람에게는 속옷도 거절하지 말아라.
30 Give to everyone who asks you, and don’ t ask him who takes away your goods to give them back again.Give to every one that asketh thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.네게 구하는 모든 사람에게 주고, 네 물건을 빼앗는 사람에게 다시 돌려달라고 요구하지 말아라.
31 “ As you would like people to do to you, do exactly so to them.And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.남이 너희에게 해 주기를 바라는 그대로, 너희도 그들에게 그렇게 해 주어라.
32 “ If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them.And if ye love them that love you, what thank have ye? for even sinners love those that love them.너희가 너희를 사랑하는 사람들만 사랑한다면, 그것이 무슨 칭찬받을 일이겠느냐? 죄인들도 자기를 사랑하는 사람들을 사랑한다.
33 If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.And if ye do good to them that do good to you, what thank have ye? for even sinners do the same.너희가 너희에게 선을 행하는 사람들에게만 선을 행한다면, 그것이 무슨 칭찬받을 일이겠느냐? 죄인들도 그와 같이 한다.
34 If you lend to those from whom you hope to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to receive back as much.And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? even sinners lend to sinners, to receive again as much.너희가 되받기를 바라는 사람들에게만 빌려준다면, 그것이 무슨 칭찬받을 일이겠느냐? 죄인들도 그만큼 되받으려고 죄인들에게 빌려준다.
35 But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing back; and your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High; for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil.But love your enemies, and do them good, and lend, never despairing; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be sons of the Most High: for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil.그러나 너희 원수를 사랑하고, 선을 행하며, 아무것도 되받을 것을 바라지 말고 빌려주어라. 그러면 너희가 받을 상이 크고, 너희가 지극히 높으신 분의 자녀가 될 것이다. 그분은 은혜를 모르는 자들과 악한 자들에게도 인자하시기 때문이다.
36 “Therefore be merciful, even as your Father is also merciful.Be ye merciful, even as your Father is merciful.그러므로 너희 아버지께서 긍휼히 여기시듯, 너희도 긍휼히 여겨라.
37 Don’t judge, and you won’t be judged. Don’t condemn, and you won’t be condemned. Set free, and you will be set free.And judge not, and ye shall not be judged: and condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: release, and ye shall be released:남을 판단하지 말아라. 그러면 너희도 판단받지 않을 것이다. 남을 정죄하지 말아라. 그러면 너희도 정죄받지 않을 것이다. 용서하여라. 그러면 너희도 용서받을 것이다.
38 “ Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be given to you. For with the same measure you measure it will be measured back to you.”give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, shall they give into your bosom. For with what measure ye mete it shall be measured to you again.주어라. 그러면 너희에게 주실 것이다. 곧 후하게 되어 눌러 다지고 흔들어 넘치도록 너희 품에 안겨 주실 것이다. 너희가 헤아리는 그 헤아림으로 너희도 헤아림을 받을 것이기 때문이다."
39 He spoke a parable to them. “ Can the blind guide the blind? Won’t they both fall into a pit?And he spake also a parable unto them, Can the blind guide the blind? shall they not both fall into a pit?예수께서 그들에게 비유로 말씀하셨다. "눈먼 사람이 눈먼 사람을 인도할 수 있겠느냐? 둘 다 구덩이에 빠지지 않겠느냐?
40 A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is fully trained will be like his teacher.The disciple is not above his teacher: but every one when he is perfected shall be as his teacher.제자가 스승보다 높지 않으나, 누구든지 온전히 배우면 자기 스승과 같이 될 것이다.
41 Why do you see the speck of chaff that is in your brother’s eye, but don’ t consider the beam that is in your own eye?And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?어찌하여 너는 네 형제의 눈 속에 있는 티는 보면서, 네 눈 속에 있는 들보는 깨닫지 못하느냐?
42 Or how can you tell your brother, ‘Brother, let me remove the speck of chaff that is in your eye,’ when you yourself don’ t see the beam that is in your own eye? You hypocrite! First remove the beam from your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck of chaff that is in your brother’s eye.Or how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me cast out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote that is in thy brother’s eye.네 눈 속에 있는 들보는 보지 못하면서, 어떻게 네 형제에게 '형제여, 네 눈 속의 티를 빼게 해다오' 하고 말할 수 있느냐? 위선자여, 먼저 네 눈에서 들보를 빼내어라. 그래야 네가 똑똑히 보고 네 형제의 눈 속에 있는 티를 빼낼 수 있을 것이다.
43 “ For there is no good tree that produces rotten fruit, nor again a rotten tree that produces good fruit.For there is no good tree that bringeth forth corrupt fruit; nor again a corrupt tree that bringeth forth good fruit.좋은 나무가 나쁜 열매를 맺지 않고, 나쁜 나무가 좋은 열매를 맺지 않는다.
44 For each tree is known by its own fruit. For people don’ t gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush.For each tree is known by its own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.나무는 저마다 그 열매로 알려진다. 사람들이 가시나무에서 무화과를 거두지 않고, 찔레덤불에서 포도를 따지 않는다.
45 The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings out that which is good, and the evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings out that which is evil, for out of the abundance of the heart, his mouth speaks.The good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and the evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth that which is evil: for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.선한 사람은 마음의 선한 창고에서 선한 것을 내고, 악한 사람은 악한 창고에서 악한 것을 낸다. 마음에 가득한 것을 입으로 말하기 때문이다.
46 “ Why do you call me, ‘ Lord, Lord,’ and don’t do the things which I say?And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?너희는 어찌하여 나를 '주여, 주여' 부르면서, 내가 말하는 것은 행하지 않느냐?
47 Everyone who comes to me, and hears my words and does them, I will show you who he is like.Every one that cometh unto me, and heareth my words, and doeth them, I will show you to whom he is like:내게 와서 내 말을 듣고 그대로 행하는 모든 사람이 누구와 같은지 너희에게 보여 주겠다.
48 He is like a man building a house, who dug and went deep and laid a foundation on the rock. When a flood arose, the stream broke against that house, and could not shake it, because it was founded on the rock.he is like a man building a house, who digged and went deep, and laid a foundation upon the rock: and when a flood arose, the stream brake against that house, and could not shake it: because it had been well builded.그는 땅을 깊이 파고 반석 위에 기초를 놓아 집을 짓는 사람과 같다. 홍수가 나서 물줄기가 그 집에 부딪쳐도, 그 집을 흔들 수 없었으니, 반석 위에 세워졌기 때문이다.
49 But he who hears and doesn’ t do, is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream broke, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.”But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that built a house upon the earth without a foundation; against which the stream brake, and straightway it fell in; and the ruin of that house was great.그러나 듣고도 행하지 않는 사람은 기초 없이 맨땅 위에 집을 지은 사람과 같다. 물줄기가 부딪치자 그 집은 곧 무너졌고, 그 집의 파멸이 컸다."
