1 You are the children of Yahweh your God. You shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.Ye are the children of Jehovah your God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.너희는 너희 하나님 여호와의 자녀이니, 죽은 사람을 위하여 너희 몸을 베거나 두 눈 사이의 이마를 밀지 말아라.
2 For you are a holy people to Yahweh your God, and Yahweh has chosen you to be a people for his own possession, above all peoples who are on the face of the earth.For thou art a holy people unto Jehovah thy God, and Jehovah hath chosen thee to be a people for his own possession, above all peoples that are upon the face of the earth.너희는 너희 하나님 여호와께 거룩한 백성이며, 여호와께서 땅 위의 모든 민족 가운데 너희를 택하여 자기 소유의 백성으로 삼으셨기 때문이다.
3 You shall not eat any abominable thing.Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing.너희는 어떤 가증한 것도 먹지 말아라.
4 These are the animals which you may eat: the ox, the sheep, the goat,These are the beasts which ye may eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat,너희가 먹을 수 있는 짐승은 이런 것들이니, 곧 소와 양과 염소,
5 the deer, the gazelle, the roebuck, the wild goat, the ibex, the antelope, and the chamois.the hart, and the gazelle, and the roebuck, and the wild goat, and the pygarg, and the antelope, and the chamois.사슴과 영양과 노루와 들염소와 산양과 들양과 산양이라.
6 Every animal that parts the hoof, and has the hoof split in two and chews the cud, among the animals, you may eat.And every beast that parteth the hoof, and hath the hoof cloven in two, and cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that may ye eat.짐승 가운데 굽이 갈라져 둘로 쪼개지고 새김질하는 것은 너희가 먹을 수 있다.
7 Nevertheless these you shall not eat of them that chew the cud, or of those who have the hoof split: the camel, the hare, and the rabbit. Because they chew the cud but don’t part the hoof, they are unclean to you.Nevertheless these ye shall not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that have the hoof cloven: the camel, and the hare, and the coney; because they chew the cud but part not the hoof, they are unclean unto you.그러나 새김질을 하거나 굽이 갈라진 것 가운데 이런 것들은 먹지 말아라. 곧 낙타와 토끼와 사반이니, 이것들은 새김질은 하지만 굽이 갈라지지 않았으므로 너희에게 부정하다.
8 The pig, because it has a split hoof but doesn’t chew the cud, is unclean to you. You shall not eat their meat. You shall not touch their carcasses.And the swine, because he parteth the hoof but cheweth not the cud, he is unclean unto you: of their flesh ye shall not eat, and their carcasses ye shall not touch.돼지는 굽이 갈라졌지만 새김질을 하지 않으므로 너희에게 부정하니, 너희는 그 고기를 먹지 말고 그 사체도 만지지 말아라.
9 These you may eat of all that are in the waters: you may eat whatever has fins and scales.These ye may eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales may ye eat;물에 사는 모든 것 가운데 지느러미와 비늘이 있는 것은 너희가 먹을 수 있다.
10 You shall not eat whatever doesn’t have fins and scales. It is unclean to you.and whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye shall not eat; it is unclean unto you.그러나 지느러미와 비늘이 없는 것은 먹지 말아라. 그것은 너희에게 부정하다.
11 Of all clean birds you may eat.Of all clean birds ye may eat.정결한 새는 모두 너희가 먹을 수 있다.
12 But these are they of which you shall not eat: the eagle, the vulture, the osprey,But these are they of which ye shall not eat: the eagle, and the gier-eagle, and the ospray,그러나 이런 것들은 먹지 말아라. 곧 독수리와 솔개와 물수리,
13 the red kite, the falcon, the kite of any kind,and the glede, and the falcon, and the kite after its kind,붉은 솔개와 매와 종류대로의 솔개,
14 every raven of any kind,and every raven after its kind,종류대로의 모든 까마귀,
15 the ostrich, the owl, the seagull, the hawk of any kind,and the ostrich, and the night-hawk, and the sea-mew, and the hawk after its kind,타조와 부엉이와 갈매기와 종류대로의 새매,
16 the little owl, the great owl, the horned owl,the little owl, and the great owl, and the horned owl,작은 올빼미와 큰 올빼미와 뿔 달린 올빼미,
17 the pelican, the vulture, the cormorant,and the pelican, and the vulture, and the cormorant,사다새와 독수리와 가마우지,
18 the stork, the heron after its kind, the hoopoe, and the bat.and the stork, and the heron after its kind, and the hoopoe, and the bat.황새와 종류대로의 왜가리와 후투티와 박쥐라.
19 All winged creeping things are unclean to you. They shall not be eaten.And all winged creeping things are unclean unto you: they shall not be eaten.날개가 있어 기어다니는 모든 것은 너희에게 부정하니 먹지 말아라.
20 Of all clean birds you may eat.Of all clean birds ye may eat.정결한 새는 모두 너희가 먹을 수 있다.
21 You shall not eat of anything that dies of itself. You may give it to the foreigner living among you who is within your gates, that he may eat it; or you may sell it to a foreigner; for you are a holy people to Yahweh your God. You shall not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.Ye shall not eat of anything that dieth of itself: thou mayest give it unto the sojourner that is within thy gates, that he may eat it; or thou mayest sell it unto a foreigner: for thou art a holy people unto Jehovah thy God. Thou shalt not boil a kid in its mother’s milk.너희는 저절로 죽은 것은 어떤 것도 먹지 말아라. 너희 성안에 사는 나그네에게 주어 먹게 하거나 이방 사람에게 팔 수는 있다. 너희는 너희 하나님 여호와께 거룩한 백성이기 때문이다. 너희는 새끼 염소를 그 어미의 젖에 삶지 말아라.
22 You shall surely tithe all the increase of your seed, that which comes out of the field year by year.Thou shalt surely tithe all the increase of thy seed, that which cometh forth from the field year by year.너희는 해마다 밭에서 거두어들이는 모든 소출의 십일조를 반드시 드려라.
23 You shall eat before Yahweh your God, in the place which he chooses to cause his name to dwell, the tithe of your grain, of your new wine, and of your oil, and the firstborn of your herd and of your flock; that you may learn to fear Yahweh your God always.And thou shalt eat before Jehovah thy God, in the place which he shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there, the tithe of thy grain, of thy new wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herd and of thy flock; that thou mayest learn to fear Jehovah thy God always.너희 하나님 여호와께서 자기 이름을 두려고 택하시는 곳에서, 너희는 곡식과 새 포도주와 기름의 십일조와 소 떼와 양 떼의 첫 새끼를 여호와 앞에서 먹어라. 그리하면 너희가 항상 너희 하나님 여호와 경외하기를 배우게 될 것이다.
24 If the way is too long for you, so that you are not able to carry it because the place which Yahweh your God shall choose to set his name there is too far from you, when Yahweh your God blesses you,And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it, because the place is too far from thee, which Jehovah thy God shall choose, to set his name there, when Jehovah thy God shall bless thee;그러나 너희 하나님 여호와께서 복을 주실 때에, 그분이 자기 이름을 두려고 택하시는 곳이 너무 멀어 그 십일조를 가져갈 수 없을 만큼 길이 멀거든,
25 then you shall turn it into money, bind up the money in your hand, and shall go to the place which Yahweh your God shall choose.then shalt thou turn it into money, and bind up the money in thy hand, and shalt go unto the place which Jehovah thy God shall choose:너희는 그것을 돈으로 바꾸어 그 돈을 손에 싸 들고, 너희 하나님 여호와께서 택하시는 곳으로 가서,
26 You shall trade the money for whatever your soul desires: for cattle, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatever your soul asks of you. You shall eat there before Yahweh your God, and you shall rejoice, you and your household.and thou shalt bestow the money for whatsoever thy soul desireth, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul asketh of thee; and thou shalt eat there before Jehovah thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou and thy household.그 돈으로 너희 마음에 원하는 것은 무엇이든, 곧 소나 양이나 포도주나 독한 술이나 너희 마음이 바라는 것은 무엇이든 사서, 거기 너희 하나님 여호와 앞에서 먹고, 너희와 너희 온 집안이 즐거워하여라.
27 You shall not forsake the Levite who is within your gates, for he has no portion nor inheritance with you.And the Levite that is within thy gates, thou shalt not forsake him; for he hath no portion nor inheritance with thee.너희 성안에 사는 레위 사람은 너희와 함께 받을 몫이나 유산이 없으니, 그를 저버리지 말아라.
28 At the end of every three years you shall bring all the tithe of your increase in the same year, and shall store it within your gates.At the end of every three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase in the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates:너희는 삼 년마다 그 해 소출의 십일조를 다 거두어 너희 성안에 쌓아 두어라.
29 The Levite, because he has no portion nor inheritance with you, as well as the foreigner living among you, the fatherless, and the widow who are within your gates shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that Yahweh your God may bless you in all the work of your hand which you do.and the Levite, because he hath no portion nor inheritance with thee, and the sojourner, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that Jehovah thy God may bless thee in all the work of thy hand which thou doest.그리하면 너희와 함께 받을 몫이나 유산이 없는 레위 사람과 너희 성안에 사는 나그네와 고아와 과부가 와서 먹고 배부르게 될 것이며, 너희 하나님 여호와께서 너희가 하는 모든 일에 너희에게 복을 주실 것이다.
