1 When a man takes a wife and marries her, then it shall be, if she finds no favor in his eyes because he has found some unseemly thing in her, that he shall write her a certificate of divorce, put it in her hand, and send her out of his house.When a man taketh a wife, and marrieth her, then it shall be, if she find no favor in his eyes, because he hath found some unseemly thing in her, that he shall write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house.어떤 남자가 여자를 아내로 맞아 결혼했는데, 그 여자에게서 부끄러운 점을 발견하여 마음에 들지 않게 되면, 그는 이혼 증서를 써서 그 여자의 손에 쥐어 주고 자기 집에서 내보낼 수 있습니다.
2 When she has departed out of his house, she may go and be another man’s wife.And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man’s wife.그 여자가 그의 집을 떠난 뒤에는 다른 남자에게 가서 그의 아내가 될 수 있습니다.
3 If the latter husband hates her, and writes her a certificate of divorce, puts it in her hand, and sends her out of his house; or if the latter husband dies, who took her to be his wife;And if the latter husband hate her, and write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house; or if the latter husband die, who took her to be his wife;그런데 나중 남편도 그 여자를 미워하여 이혼 증서를 써서 그 손에 쥐어 주고 자기 집에서 내보내거나, 혹은 그 여자를 아내로 맞은 나중 남편이 죽으면,
4 her former husband, who sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife after she is defiled; for that would be an abomination to Yahweh. You shall not cause the land to sin, which Yahweh your God gives you for an inheritance.her former husband, who sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before Jehovah: and thou shalt not cause the land to sin, which Jehovah thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.그 여자를 내보냈던 첫 번째 남편은 그 여자가 이미 더럽혀졌으므로 다시 아내로 맞을 수 없습니다. 그것은 여호와 앞에서 역겨운 일이기 때문입니다. 여러분은 여호와 여러분의 하나님께서 유산으로 주시는 그 땅을 죄로 더럽히지 마십시오.
5 When a man takes a new wife, he shall not go out in the army, neither shall he be assigned any business. He shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer his wife whom he has taken.When a man taketh a new wife, he shall not go out in the host, neither shall he be charged with any business: he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer his wife whom he hath taken.어떤 남자가 새로 아내를 맞으면, 그는 군대에 나가지 말고 어떤 임무도 맡지 말아야 합니다. 일 년 동안은 집에서 자유롭게 지내며, 자기가 맞은 아내를 기쁘게 해 주어야 합니다.
6 No man shall take the mill or the upper millstone as a pledge, for he takes a life in pledge.No man shall take the mill or the upper millstone to pledge; for he taketh a man’s life to pledge.누구든지 맷돌이나 그 위짝을 담보로 잡지 마십시오. 그것은 사람의 생명을 담보로 잡는 것과 같기 때문입니다.
7 If a man is found stealing any of his brothers of the children of Israel, and he deals with him as a slave, or sells him, then that thief shall die. So you shall remove the evil from among you.If a man be found stealing any of his brethren of the children of Israel, and he deal with him as a slave, or sell him; then that thief shall die: so shalt thou put away the evil from the midst of thee.어떤 사람이 이스라엘 자손인 자기 형제 가운데 하나를 유괴하여 노예처럼 부리거나 팔다가 발각되면, 그 유괴범은 죽어야 합니다. 이렇게 하여 여러분 가운데서 악을 없애 버려야 합니다.
8 Be careful in the plague of leprosy, that you observe diligently and do according to all that the Levitical priests teach you. As I commanded them, so you shall observe to do.Take heed in the plague of leprosy, that thou observe diligently, and do according to all that the priests the Levites shall teach you: as I commanded them, so ye shall observe to do.나병이 생기면 조심하여, 제사장인 레위 사람들이 여러분에게 가르치는 모든 것을 부지런히 지켜 행하십시오. 내가 그들에게 명령한 그대로 여러분은 잘 지켜 행해야 합니다.
9 Remember what Yahweh your God did to Miriam, by the way as you came out of Egypt.Remember what Jehovah thy God did unto Miriam, by the way as ye came forth out of Egypt.여러분이 이집트에서 나오던 길에서 여호와 여러분의 하나님께서 미리암에게 하신 일을 기억하십시오.
10 When you lend your neighbor any kind of loan, you shall not go into his house to get his pledge.When thou dost lend thy neighbor any manner of loan, thou shalt not go into his house to fetch his pledge.여러분이 이웃에게 무엇이든 꾸어 줄 때에는, 담보물을 받으려고 그의 집 안으로 들어가지 마십시오.
11 You shall stand outside, and the man to whom you lend shall bring the pledge outside to you.Thou shalt stand without, and the man to whom thou dost lend shall bring forth the pledge without unto thee.여러분은 밖에 서 있고, 여러분이 꾸어 주는 그 사람이 담보물을 밖으로 가지고 나와 여러분에게 주게 하십시오.
12 If he is a poor man, you shall not sleep with his pledge.And if he be a poor man, thou shalt not sleep with his pledge;그 사람이 가난한 사람이거든, 여러분은 그의 담보물을 가진 채 잠자리에 들지 마십시오.
13 You shall surely restore to him the pledge when the sun goes down, that he may sleep in his garment and bless you. It shall be righteousness to you before Yahweh your God.thou shalt surely restore to him the pledge when the sun goeth down, that he may sleep in his garment, and bless thee: and it shall be righteousness unto thee before Jehovah thy God.해가 질 때에 그 담보물을 반드시 돌려주어, 그가 자기 옷을 덮고 잘 수 있게 하고 여러분을 축복하게 하십시오. 그러면 그것이 여호와 여러분의 하나님 앞에서 여러분에게 의가 될 것입니다.
14 You shall not oppress a hired servant who is poor and needy, whether he is one of your brothers or one of the foreigners who are in your land within your gates.Thou shalt not oppress a hired servant that is poor and needy, whether he be of thy brethren, or of thy sojourners that are in thy land within thy gates:가난하고 궁핍한 품꾼을 학대하지 마십시오. 그가 여러분의 형제이든, 여러분의 땅 성문 안에 사는 이방 사람이든 마찬가지입니다.
15 In his day you shall give him his wages, neither shall the sun go down on it, for he is poor and sets his heart on it, lest he cry against you to Yahweh, and it be sin to you.in his day thou shalt give him his hire, neither shall the sun go down upon it ( for he is poor, and setteth his heart upon it ); lest he cry against thee unto Jehovah, and it be sin unto thee.그 날 안에 그의 품삯을 주고, 해가 지도록 미루지 마십시오. 그는 가난하여 그 품삯에 마음을 두고 있기 때문입니다. 그렇게 하지 않으면 그가 여러분을 두고 여호와께 부르짖을 것이고, 그것이 여러분에게 죄가 될 것입니다.
16 The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers. Every man shall be put to death for his own sin.The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.아버지가 자식 때문에 죽임을 당하지 말고, 자식이 아버지 때문에 죽임을 당하지 말아야 합니다. 사람은 저마다 자기 죄로 인해 죽임을 당해야 합니다.
17 You shall not deprive the foreigner or the fatherless of justice, nor take a widow’s clothing in pledge;Thou shalt not wrest the justice due to the sojourner, or to the fatherless, nor take the widow’s raiment to pledge;이방 사람이나 고아의 정당한 권리를 빼앗지 말고, 과부의 옷을 담보로 잡지 마십시오.
18 but you shall remember that you were a slave in Egypt, and Yahweh your God redeemed you there. Therefore I command you to do this thing.but thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in Egypt, and Jehovah thy God redeemed thee thence: therefore I command thee to do this thing.여러분이 이집트에서 종이었던 것과, 여호와 여러분의 하나님께서 거기서 여러분을 구속하신 것을 기억하십시오. 그러므로 내가 여러분에게 이 일을 행하라고 명령합니다.
19 When you reap your harvest in your field, and have forgotten a sheaf in the field, you shall not go again to get it. It shall be for the foreigner, for the fatherless, and for the widow, that Yahweh your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.When thou reapest thy harvest in thy field, and hast forgot a sheaf in the field, thou shalt not go again to fetch it: it shall be for the sojourner, for the fatherless, and for the widow; that Jehovah thy God may bless thee in all the work of thy hands.여러분이 밭에서 곡식을 거둘 때에, 밭에 곡식 단을 두고 잊어버렸거든 그것을 가지러 다시 돌아가지 마십시오. 그것은 이방 사람과 고아와 과부의 몫이 되게 하십시오. 그러면 여호와 여러분의 하나님께서 여러분이 하는 모든 일에 복을 주실 것입니다.
20 When you beat your olive tree, you shall not go over the boughs again. It shall be for the foreigner, for the fatherless, and for the widow.When thou beatest thine olive-tree, thou shalt not go over the boughs again: it shall be for the sojourner, for the fatherless, and for the widow.여러분이 올리브 나무를 떨 때에, 그 가지를 다시 훑지 마십시오. 그것은 이방 사람과 고아와 과부의 몫이 되게 하십시오.
21 When you harvest your vineyard, you shall not glean it after yourselves. It shall be for the foreigner, for the fatherless, and for the widow.When thou gatherest the grapes of thy vineyard, thou shalt not glean it after thee: it shall be for the sojourner, for the fatherless, and for the widow.여러분이 포도밭에서 거둘 때에, 거둔 뒤에 다시 줍지 마십시오. 그것은 이방 사람과 고아와 과부의 몫이 되게 하십시오.
22 You shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt. Therefore I command you to do this thing.And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt: therefore I command thee to do this thing.여러분이 이집트 땅에서 종이었던 것을 기억하십시오. 그러므로 내가 여러분에게 이 일을 행하라고 명령합니다.
