1 You shall not see your brother’s ox or his sheep go astray and hide yourself from them. You shall surely bring them again to your brother.Thou shalt not see thy brother’s ox or his sheep go astray, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt surely bring them again unto thy brother.당신은 동족의 소나 양이 길을 잃고 헤매는 것을 보거든 모른 척 외면하지 말고, 반드시 그것들을 그 동족에게 데려다 주어야 합니다.

2 If your brother isn’t near to you, or if you don’t know him, then you shall bring it home to your house, and it shall be with you until your brother comes looking for it, and you shall restore it to him.And if thy brother be not nigh unto thee, or if thou know him not, then thou shalt bring it home to thy house, and it shall be with thee until thy brother seek after it, and thou shalt restore it to him.그 동족이 당신 가까이 살지 않거나 당신이 그 사람을 알지 못하거든, 그것을 당신 집으로 데려와 그 동족이 찾으러 올 때까지 보살피다가 그에게 돌려주십시오.

3 So you shall do with his donkey. So you shall do with his garment. So you shall do with every lost thing of your brother’s, which he has lost and you have found. You may not hide yourself.And so shalt thou do with his ass; and so shalt thou do with his garment; and so shalt thou do with every lost thing of thy brother’s, which he hath lost, and thou hast found: thou mayest not hide thyself.그의 나귀에게도, 그의 옷에게도 그렇게 하고, 동족이 잃어버려서 당신이 발견한 모든 잃어버린 물건에 대해서도 그렇게 해야 합니다. 결코 모른 척 외면해서는 안 됩니다.

4 You shall not see your brother’s donkey or his ox fallen down by the way, and hide yourself from them. You shall surely help him to lift them up again.Thou shalt not see thy brother’s ass or his ox fallen down by the way, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt surely help him to lift them up again.당신은 동족의 나귀나 소가 길에 쓰러져 있는 것을 보거든 못 본 척 외면하지 말고, 반드시 그를 도와 일으켜 세워 주어야 합니다.

5 A woman shall not wear men’s clothing, neither shall a man put on women’s clothing; for whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh your God.A woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment; for whosoever doeth these things is an abomination unto Jehovah thy God.여자는 남자의 옷을 입지 말고 남자는 여자의 옷을 입지 마십시오. 이런 일을 하는 사람은 누구든지 당신의 하나님 여호와께서 미워하시는 가증한 자입니다.

6 If you come across a bird’s nest on the way, in any tree or on the ground, with young ones or eggs, and the hen sitting on the young, or on the eggs, you shall not take the hen with the young.If a bird’s nest chance to be before thee in the way, in any tree or on the ground, with young ones or eggs, and the dam sitting upon the young, or upon the eggs, thou shalt not take the dam with the young:길을 가다가 나무나 땅 위에서 새 둥지를 우연히 발견했는데, 그 안에 새끼나 알이 있고 어미가 새끼나 알을 품고 있거든, 어미를 새끼와 함께 잡지 마십시오.

7 You shall surely let the hen go, but the young you may take for yourself, that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days.thou shalt surely let the dam go, but the young thou mayest take unto thyself; that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days.어미는 반드시 놓아 주고 새끼만 가지십시오. 그래야 당신이 잘되고 오래 살 것입니다.

8 When you build a new house, then you shall make a railing around your roof, so that you don’t bring blood on your house if anyone falls from there.When thou buildest a new house, then thou shalt make a battlement for thy roof, that thou bring not blood upon thy house, if any man fall from thence.새 집을 지을 때에는 지붕에 난간을 만드십시오. 누가 거기서 떨어져 당신의 집에 피 흘린 책임이 돌아오지 않도록 하기 위함입니다.

9 You shall not sow your vineyard with two kinds of seed, lest all the fruit be defiled, the seed which you have sown, and the increase of the vineyard.Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with two kinds of seed, lest the whole fruit be forfeited, the seed which thou hast sown, and the increase of the vineyard.당신의 포도원에 두 종류의 씨앗을 함께 뿌리지 마십시오. 그렇게 하면 당신이 뿌린 씨앗의 소출과 포도원의 소산을 모두 빼앗기게 됩니다.

10 You shall not plow with an ox and a donkey together.Thou shalt not plow with an ox and an ass together.소와 나귀를 한데 묶어 밭을 갈지 마십시오.

11 You shall not wear clothes of wool and linen woven together.Thou shalt not wear a mingled stuff, wool and linen together.양털과 모시실을 섞어 짠 옷을 입지 마십시오.

12 You shall make yourselves fringes on the four corners of your cloak with which you cover yourself.Thou shalt make thee fringes upon the four borders of thy vesture, wherewith thou coverest thyself.당신이 몸에 두르는 겉옷의 네 귀퉁이에 술을 만들어 다십시오.

13 If any man takes a wife, and goes in to her, hates her,If any man take a wife, and go in unto her, and hate her,어떤 남자가 아내를 맞이하여 그녀와 동침한 뒤에 그녀를 미워하게 되어,

14 accuses her of shameful things, gives her a bad name, and says, “ I took this woman, and when I came near to her, I didn’t find in her the tokens of virginity;”and lay shameful things to her charge, and bring up an evil name upon her, and say, I took this woman, and when I came nigh to her, I found not in her the tokens of virginity;그녀에게 부끄러운 일을 뒤집어씌우고 누명을 씌워 “내가 이 여자를 맞이하여 가까이했으나 처녀의 증거를 찾지 못했다”고 말한다면,

15 then the young lady’s father and mother shall take and bring the tokens of the young lady’s virginity to the elders of the city in the gate.then shall the father of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the damsel’s virginity unto the elders of the city in the gate;그 젊은 여자의 아버지와 어머니가 그 여자의 처녀의 증거를 가지고 성문에 있는 그 성읍의 장로들에게 가져와야 합니다.

16 The young lady’s father shall tell the elders, “ I gave my daughter to this man as his wife, and he hates her.and the damsel’s father shall say unto the elders, I gave my daughter unto this man to wife, and he hateth her;그 여자의 아버지가 장로들에게 말하기를 “내가 내 딸을 이 사람에게 아내로 주었는데, 그가 내 딸을 미워하여

17 Behold, he has accused her of shameful things, saying, ‘ I didn’t find in your daughter the tokens of virginity;’ and yet these are the tokens of my daughter’s virginity.” They shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.and, lo, he hath laid shameful things to her charge, saying, I found not in thy daughter the tokens of virginity; and yet these are the tokens of my daughter’s virginity. And they shall spread the garment before the elders of the city.보십시오, 그가 ‘당신 딸에게서 처녀의 증거를 찾지 못했다’며 부끄러운 일을 뒤집어씌웠습니다. 그러나 여기 내 딸의 처녀의 증거가 있습니다” 하고, 그 천을 성읍의 장로들 앞에 펼쳐 보여야 합니다.

18 The elders of that city shall take the man and chastise him.And the elders of that city shall take the man and chastise him;그러면 그 성읍의 장로들이 그 남자를 잡아 벌하고,

19 They shall fine him one hundred shekels of silver, and give them to the father of the young lady, because he has given a bad name to a virgin of Israel. She shall be his wife. He may not put her away all his days.and they shall fine him a hundred shekels of silver, and give them unto the father of the damsel, because he hath brought up an evil name upon a virgin of Israel: and she shall be his wife; he may not put her away all his days.은 백 세겔의 벌금을 물려 그 젊은 여자의 아버지에게 주게 해야 합니다. 그가 이스라엘의 처녀에게 누명을 씌웠기 때문입니다. 그 여자는 그의 아내가 되며, 그는 평생 그녀를 버릴 수 없습니다.

20 But if this thing is true, that the tokens of virginity were not found in the young lady,But if this thing be true, that the tokens of virginity were not found in the damsel;그러나 만일 그것이 사실이어서 그 젊은 여자에게 처녀의 증거가 없었다면,

21 then they shall bring out the young lady to the door of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her to death with stones, because she has done folly in Israel, to play the prostitute in her father’s house. So you shall remove the evil from among you.then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her to death with stones, because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the harlot in her father’s house: so shalt thou put away the evil from the midst of thee.사람들은 그 젊은 여자를 그녀 아버지 집 문 앞으로 끌어내고, 그 성읍의 남자들이 그녀를 돌로 쳐서 죽여야 합니다. 그녀가 자기 아버지 집에서 음행하여 이스라엘 가운데 어리석은 일을 저질렀기 때문입니다. 이렇게 당신은 당신 가운데서 악을 제거해야 합니다.

22 If a man is found lying with a woman married to a husband, then they shall both die, the man who lay with the woman and the woman. So you shall remove the evil from Israel.If a man be found lying with a woman married to a husband, then they shall both of them die, the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away the evil from Israel.어떤 남자가 다른 사람의 아내와 동침하다가 발각되면, 그 여자와 동침한 남자와 그 여자가 둘 다 죽어야 합니다. 이렇게 당신은 이스라엘에서 악을 제거해야 합니다.

23 If there is a young lady who is a virgin pledged to be married to a husband, and a man finds her in the city, and lies with her,If there be a damsel that is a virgin betrothed unto a husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her;어떤 처녀가 한 남자와 약혼한 상태인데, 다른 남자가 성읍 안에서 그녀를 만나 동침하면,

24 then you shall bring them both out to the gate of that city, and you shall stone them to death with stones; the lady, because she didn’t cry, being in the city; and the man, because he has humbled his neighbor’s wife. So you shall remove the evil from among you.then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them to death with stones; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbor’s wife: so thou shalt put away the evil from the midst of thee.당신은 그 둘을 그 성읍의 성문으로 끌어내어 돌로 쳐서 죽여야 합니다. 그 여자는 성읍 안에 있으면서도 소리 지르지 않았기 때문이고, 그 남자는 이웃의 아내를 욕보였기 때문입니다. 이렇게 당신은 당신 가운데서 악을 제거해야 합니다.

25 But if the man finds the lady who is pledged to be married in the field, and the man forces her and lies with her, then only the man who lay with her shall die;But if the man find the damsel that is betrothed in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her; then the man only that lay with her shall die:그러나 만일 그 남자가 약혼한 여자를 들에서 만나 강제로 동침했다면, 그 여자와 동침한 남자만 죽어야 합니다.

26 but to the lady you shall do nothing. There is in the lady no sin worthy of death; for as when a man rises against his neighbor and kills him, even so is this matter;but unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbor, and slayeth him, even so is this matter;그 여자에게는 아무 벌도 주지 마십시오. 그 여자에게는 죽을 만한 죄가 없습니다. 이는 마치 어떤 사람이 자기 이웃을 덮쳐 죽인 것과 같은 경우이기 때문입니다.

27 for he found her in the field, the pledged to be married lady cried, and there was no one to save her.for he found her in the field, the betrothed damsel cried, and there was none to save her.그 남자가 들에서 여자를 만났고, 약혼한 여자가 소리쳤으나 구해 줄 사람이 없었기 때문입니다.

28 If a man finds a lady who is a virgin, who is not pledged to be married, grabs her and lies with her, and they are found,If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, that is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;어떤 남자가 약혼하지 않은 처녀를 만나 붙잡고 동침하다가 발각되면,

29 then the man who lay with her shall give to the lady’s father fifty shekels of silver. She shall be his wife, because he has humbled her. He may not put her away all his days.then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel’s father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife, because he hath humbled her; he may not put her away all his days.그 여자와 동침한 남자는 그 여자의 아버지에게 은 오십 세겔을 주고, 그 여자는 그의 아내가 됩니다. 그가 그녀를 욕보였기 때문에 그는 평생 그녀를 버릴 수 없습니다.

30 A man shall not take his father’s wife, and shall not uncover his father’s skirt.A man shall not take his father’s wife, and shall not uncover his father’s skirt.남자는 자기 아버지의 아내를 취하지 말고, 자기 아버지의 하체를 드러내지 마십시오.
