1 It shall happen, when all these things have come on you, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before you, and you shall call them to mind among all the nations where Yahweh your God has driven you,And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither Jehovah thy God hath driven thee,내가 네 앞에 둔 이 모든 일, 곧 복과 저주가 네게 임하고, 네 하나님 여호와께서 너를 쫓아 흩으신 모든 민족 가운데서 네가 이 말을 마음에 떠올리게 되면,
2 and return to Yahweh your God and obey his voice according to all that I command you today, you and your children, with all your heart and with all your soul,and shalt return unto Jehovah thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thy heart, and with all thy soul;너와 네 자녀가 마음을 다하고 목숨을 다하여 네 하나님 여호와께 돌아와, 내가 오늘 네게 명령하는 모든 것을 따라 그분의 음성에 순종하면,
3 that then Yahweh your God will release you from captivity, have compassion on you, and will return and gather you from all the peoples where Yahweh your God has scattered you.that then Jehovah thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the peoples, whither Jehovah thy God hath scattered thee.그때에 네 하나님 여호와께서 네 사로잡힘을 되돌리시고 너를 불쌍히 여기시며, 네 하나님 여호와께서 너를 흩으신 모든 민족 가운데서 다시 너를 모으실 것이다.
4 If your outcasts are in the uttermost parts of the heavens, from there Yahweh your God will gather you, and from there he will bring you back.If any of thine outcasts be in the uttermost parts of heaven, from thence will Jehovah thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee:네 쫓겨난 자들이 하늘 끝에 있을지라도, 네 하나님 여호와께서 거기서 너를 모으시고 거기서 너를 다시 데려오실 것이다.
5 Yahweh your God will bring you into the land which your fathers possessed, and you will possess it. He will do you good, and increase your numbers more than your fathers.and Jehovah thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.네 하나님 여호와께서 네 조상이 차지했던 땅으로 너를 들이실 것이니, 너는 그 땅을 차지하게 될 것이다. 그분께서 네게 복을 베푸시고 네 조상보다 너를 더 번성하게 하실 것이다.
6 Yahweh your God will circumcise your heart, and the heart of your offspring, to love Yahweh your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live.And Jehovah thy God will circumcise thy heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love Jehovah thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.네 하나님 여호와께서 네 마음과 네 후손의 마음에 할례를 베푸셔서, 네가 마음을 다하고 목숨을 다하여 네 하나님 여호와를 사랑하고 살게 하실 것이다.
7 Yahweh your God will put all these curses on your enemies and on those who hate you, who persecuted you.And Jehovah thy God will put all these curses upon thine enemies, and on them that hate thee, that persecuted thee.네 하나님 여호와께서 이 모든 저주를 너를 미워하고 핍박한 네 원수들 위에 내리실 것이다.
8 You shall return and obey Yahweh’s voice, and do all his commandments which I command you today.And thou shalt return and obey the voice of Jehovah, and do all his commandments which I command thee this day.너는 돌아와 여호와의 음성에 순종하여, 내가 오늘 네게 명령하는 그분의 모든 계명을 행할 것이다.
9 Yahweh your God will make you prosperous in all the work of your hand, in the fruit of your body, in the fruit of your livestock, and in the fruit of your ground, for good; for Yahweh will again rejoice over you for good, as he rejoiced over your fathers,And Jehovah thy God will make thee plenteous in all the work of thy hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, for good: for Jehovah will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers;네 하나님 여호와께서 네 손이 하는 모든 일과 네 몸의 소생과 네 가축의 새끼와 네 땅의 소출을 풍성하게 하여 복되게 하실 것이다. 여호와께서 네 조상을 기뻐하셨던 것처럼 다시 너를 기뻐하시며 복을 베푸실 것이다.
10 if you will obey Yahweh your God’s voice, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, if you turn to Yahweh your God with all your heart and with all your soul.if thou shalt obey the voice of Jehovah thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law; if thou turn unto Jehovah thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul.이는 네가 네 하나님 여호와의 음성에 순종하여 이 율법책에 기록된 그분의 계명과 규례를 지키고, 마음을 다하고 목숨을 다하여 네 하나님 여호와께 돌아오는 경우이다.
11 For this commandment which I command you today is not too hard for you or too distant.For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not too hard for thee, neither is it far off.내가 오늘 네게 명령하는 이 계명은 네게 너무 어렵지도 않고 멀리 있지도 않다.
12 It is not in heaven, that you should say, “ Who will go up for us to heaven, bring it to us, and proclaim it to us, that we may do it?”It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, and make us to hear it, that we may do it?그것은 하늘에 있지 않으니, "누가 우리를 위해 하늘에 올라가 그것을 우리에게 가져다가 듣게 하여 우리가 행하게 하랴" 하고 네가 말할 것이 아니다.
13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say, “ Who will go over the sea for us, bring it to us, and proclaim it to us, that we may do it?”Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, and make us to hear it, that we may do it?그것은 바다 건너편에 있지 않으니, "누가 우리를 위해 바다를 건너가 그것을 우리에게 가져다가 듣게 하여 우리가 행하게 하랴" 하고 네가 말할 것도 아니다.
14 But the word is very near to you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it.But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.오히려 그 말씀은 네게 매우 가까워 네 입에 있고 네 마음에 있으니, 네가 그것을 행할 수 있다.
15 Behold, I have set before you today life and prosperity, and death and evil.See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;보라, 내가 오늘 네 앞에 생명과 복, 죽음과 화를 두었다.
16 For I command you today to love Yahweh your God, to walk in his ways and to keep his commandments, his statutes, and his ordinances, that you may live and multiply, and that Yahweh your God may bless you in the land where you go in to possess it.in that I command thee this day to love Jehovah thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his ordinances, that thou mayest live and multiply, and that Jehovah thy God may bless thee in the land whither thou goest in to possess it.곧 내가 오늘 네게 명령하기를, 네 하나님 여호와를 사랑하고 그분의 길로 걸으며 그분의 계명과 규례와 법도를 지키라 하노니, 그리하면 네가 살고 번성하며, 네가 들어가 차지할 땅에서 네 하나님 여호와께서 네게 복을 주실 것이다.
17 But if your heart turns away, and you will not hear, but are drawn away and worship other gods, and serve them,But if thy heart turn away, and thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;그러나 만일 네 마음이 돌아서서 듣지 아니하고, 끌려가 다른 신들을 섬기고 절하면,
18 I declare to you today that you will surely perish. You will not prolong your days in the land where you pass over the Jordan to go in to possess it.I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish; ye shall not prolong your days in the land, whither thou passest over the Jordan to go in to possess it.내가 오늘 네게 선언하노니, 너희가 반드시 망할 것이다. 네가 요단을 건너 들어가 차지할 땅에서 네 날이 길지 못할 것이다.
19 I call heaven and earth to witness against you today that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. Therefore choose life, that you may live, you and your descendants,I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that I have set before thee life and death, the blessing and the curse: therefore choose life, that thou mayest live, thou and thy seed;내가 오늘 하늘과 땅을 불러 너희에게 증인으로 삼노니, 내가 네 앞에 생명과 죽음, 복과 저주를 두었다. 그러므로 생명을 택하라. 그리하면 너와 네 후손이 살 것이다.
20 to love Yahweh your God, to obey his voice, and to cling to him; for he is your life, and the length of your days, that you may dwell in the land which Yahweh swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.to love Jehovah thy God, to obey his voice, and to cleave unto him; for he is thy life, and the length of thy days; that thou mayest dwell in the land which Jehovah sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.곧 네 하나님 여호와를 사랑하고 그분의 음성에 순종하며 그분께 붙어 있으라. 이는 그분이 네 생명이시며 네 날의 길이가 되시기 때문이다. 그리하면 여호와께서 네 조상 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱에게 주리라고 맹세하신 땅에서 네가 거하게 될 것이다.
