1 Therefore you shall love Yahweh your God, and keep his instructions, his statutes, his ordinances, and his commandments, always.Therefore thou shalt love Jehovah thy God, and keep his charge, and his statutes, and his ordinances, and his commandments, alway.그러므로 너는 네 하나님 여호와를 사랑하고, 그분의 명령과 규례와 법도와 계명을 항상 지켜야 한다.
2 Know this day — for I don’t speak with your children who have not known, and who have not seen the chastisement of Yahweh your God, his greatness, his mighty hand, his outstretched arm,And know ye this day: for I speak not with your children that have not known, and that have not seen the chastisement of Jehovah your God, his greatness, his mighty hand, and his outstretched arm,오늘 이것을 알아라. 내가 말하는 것은 너희 자녀들을 향한 것이 아니다. 그들은 네 하나님 여호와의 징계와 그분의 위대하심과 강한 손과 펴신 팔을 알지도 못하고 보지도 못하였다.
3 his signs, and his works, which he did in the middle of Egypt to Pharaoh the king of Egypt, and to all his land;and his signs, and his works, which he did in the midst of Egypt unto Pharaoh the king of Egypt, and unto all his land;또 그분이 이집트 한가운데서 이집트 왕 파라오와 그의 온 땅에 행하신 표징과 행적들도 그들은 보지 못하였다.
4 and what he did to the army of Egypt, to their horses, and to their chariots; how he made the water of the Red Sea to overflow them as they pursued you, and how Yahweh has destroyed them to this day;and what he did unto the army of Egypt, unto their horses, and to their chariots; how he made the water of the Red Sea to overflow them as they pursued after you, and how Jehovah hath destroyed them unto this day;또 여호와께서 이집트 군대와 그들의 말과 병거에 어떻게 하셨는지, 그들이 너희를 뒤쫓을 때 어떻게 홍해의 물로 그들을 덮으셨는지, 그리고 여호와께서 오늘까지 그들을 어떻게 멸하셨는지를 그들은 보지 못하였다.
5 and what he did to you in the wilderness until you came to this place;and what he did unto you in the wilderness, until ye came unto this place;또 너희가 이곳에 이르기까지 그분이 광야에서 너희에게 행하신 일도 그들은 보지 못하였다.
6 and what he did to Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, the son of Reuben — how the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, with their households, their tents, and every living thing that followed them, in the middle of all Israel;and what he did unto Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, the son of Reuben; how the earth opened its mouth, and swallowed them up, and their households, and their tents, and every living thing that followed them, in the midst of all Israel:또 르우벤의 자손 엘리압의 아들 다단과 아비람에게 그분이 어떻게 하셨는지, 곧 온 이스라엘 가운데서 땅이 입을 벌려 그들과 그들의 가족과 장막과 그들을 따르던 모든 생명을 삼켜 버린 일도 그들은 보지 못하였다.
7 but your eyes have seen all of Yahweh’s great work which he did.but your eyes have seen all the great work of Jehovah which he did.그러나 너희 눈은 여호와께서 행하신 그 모든 큰 일을 직접 보았다.
8 Therefore you shall keep the entire commandment which I command you today, that you may be strong, and go in and possess the land that you go over to possess;Therefore shall ye keep all the commandment which I command thee this day, that ye may be strong, and go in and possess the land, whither ye go over to possess it;그러므로 너희는 오늘 내가 명하는 모든 계명을 지켜야 한다. 그래야 너희가 강해져서, 너희가 건너가 차지하려는 그 땅에 들어가 그 땅을 차지하게 될 것이다.
9 and that you may prolong your days in the land which Yahweh swore to your fathers to give to them and to their offspring, a land flowing with milk and honey.and that ye may prolong your days in the land, which Jehovah sware unto your fathers to give unto them and to their seed, a land flowing with milk and honey.또 여호와께서 너희 조상들과 그 후손에게 주겠다고 맹세하신 땅, 곧 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 땅에서 너희가 오래도록 살게 될 것이다.
10 For the land, where you go in to possess isn’t like the land of Egypt that you came out of, where you sowed your seed and watered it with your foot, as a garden of herbs;For the land, whither thou goest in to possess it, is not as the land of Egypt, from whence ye came out, where thou sowedst thy seed, and wateredst it with thy foot, as a garden of herbs;너희가 들어가 차지하려는 그 땅은 너희가 나온 이집트 땅과 같지 않다. 거기서는 너희가 씨를 뿌리고 채소밭처럼 발로 물을 대어야 했다.
11 but the land that you go over to possess is a land of hills and valleys which drinks water from the rain of the sky,but the land, whither ye go over to possess it, is a land of hills and valleys, and drinketh water of the rain of heaven,그러나 너희가 건너가 차지하려는 그 땅은 산과 골짜기가 있어 하늘에서 내리는 비로 물을 마시는 땅이다.
12 a land which Yahweh your God cares for. Yahweh your God’s eyes are always on it, from the beginning of the year even to the end of the year.a land which Jehovah thy God careth for: the eyes of Jehovah thy God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year.그 땅은 네 하나님 여호와께서 돌보시는 땅이니, 네 하나님 여호와의 눈이 해의 처음부터 해의 끝까지 늘 그 위에 있다.
13 It shall happen, if you shall listen diligently to my commandments which I command you today, to love Yahweh your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love Jehovah your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,만일 너희가 오늘 내가 명하는 내 계명에 부지런히 귀를 기울여, 네 하나님 여호와를 사랑하고 마음을 다하고 뜻을 다하여 그분을 섬기면,
14 that I will give the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, your new wine, and your oil.that I will give the rain of your land in its season, the former rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy grain, and thy new wine, and thine oil.내가 너희 땅에 철 따라 비를 주어 이른 비와 늦은 비를 내리겠으니, 너희가 곡식과 새 포도주와 기름을 거두어들이게 될 것이다.
15 I will give grass in your fields for your livestock, and you shall eat and be full.And I will give grass in thy fields for thy cattle, and thou shalt eat and be full.또 내가 너희 들에 너희 가축을 위한 풀을 주리니, 너희가 먹고 배부르게 될 것이다.
16 Be careful, lest your heart be deceived, and you turn away to serve other gods and worship them;Take heed to yourselves, lest your heart be deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them;너희는 스스로 조심하여, 너희 마음이 미혹되어 돌아서서 다른 신들을 섬기고 그것들에게 절하지 않도록 하여라.
17 and Yahweh’s anger be kindled against you, and he shut up the sky so that there is no rain, and the land doesn’t yield its fruit; and you perish quickly from off the good land which Yahweh gives you.and the anger of Jehovah be kindled against you, and he shut up the heavens, so that there shall be no rain, and the land shall not yield its fruit; and ye perish quickly from off the good land which Jehovah giveth you.그렇지 않으면 여호와의 진노가 너희를 향해 타올라, 그분이 하늘을 닫으셔서 비가 내리지 않고 땅이 소산을 내지 못하게 하실 것이며, 너희는 여호와께서 주시는 그 좋은 땅에서 속히 망하게 될 것이다.
18 Therefore you shall lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul. You shall bind them for a sign on your hand, and they shall be for frontlets between your eyes.Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul; and ye shall bind them for a sign upon your hand, and they shall be for frontlets between your eyes.그러므로 너희는 이 나의 말을 너희 마음과 너희 뜻에 새겨 두고, 그것을 너희 손에 매어 표징으로 삼고 너희 두 눈 사이에 두어 상징으로 삼아라.
19 You shall teach them to your children, talking of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.And ye shall teach them your children, talking of them, when thou sittest in thy house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.너희는 그것을 너희 자녀에게 가르치되, 집에 앉아 있을 때나 길을 갈 때나 누워 있을 때나 일어날 때나 그것을 말하여라.
20 You shall write them on the door posts of your house and on your gates;And thou shalt write them upon the door-posts of thy house, and upon thy gates;또 그것을 네 집 문설주와 네 대문에 써 두어라.
21 that your days and your children’s days may be multiplied in the land which Yahweh swore to your fathers to give them, as the days of the heavens above the earth.that your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which Jehovah sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of the heavens above the earth.그리하면 여호와께서 너희 조상들에게 주겠다고 맹세하신 땅에서 너희의 날과 너희 자녀의 날이, 땅 위에 펼쳐진 하늘의 날처럼 많아질 것이다.
22 For if you shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you — to do them, to love Yahweh your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cling to him —For if ye shall diligently keep all this commandment which I command you, to do it, to love Jehovah your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him;만일 너희가 내가 명하는 이 모든 계명을 부지런히 지켜 행하여, 네 하나님 여호와를 사랑하고 그분의 모든 길로 행하며 그분께 꼭 붙어 있으면,
23 then Yahweh will drive out all these nations from before you, and you shall dispossess nations greater and mightier than yourselves.then will Jehovah drive out all these nations from before you, and ye shall dispossess nations greater and mightier than yourselves.여호와께서 이 모든 민족을 너희 앞에서 쫓아내실 것이니, 너희가 너희보다 크고 강한 민족들을 몰아내고 그 땅을 차지하게 될 것이다.
24 Every place on which the sole of your foot treads shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even to the western sea shall be your border.Every place whereon the sole of your foot shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness, and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the hinder sea shall be your border.너희 발바닥이 밟는 모든 곳이 너희 것이 되리니, 광야에서부터 레바논까지, 강 곧 유프라테스 강에서부터 서쪽 바다까지가 너희 경계가 될 것이다.
25 No man will be able to stand before you. Yahweh your God will lay the fear of you and the dread of you on all the land that you tread on, as he has spoken to you.There shall no man be able to stand before you: Jehovah your God shall lay the fear of you and the dread of you upon all the land that ye shall tread upon, as he hath spoken unto you.아무도 너희 앞에 맞서 설 수 없을 것이다. 네 하나님 여호와께서 친히 말씀하신 대로, 너희가 밟는 온 땅에 너희를 두려워하고 무서워하는 마음을 두실 것이다.
26 Behold, I set before you today a blessing and a curse:Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse:보아라, 내가 오늘 너희 앞에 복과 저주를 둔다.
27 the blessing, if you listen to the commandments of Yahweh your God, which I command you today;the blessing, if ye shall hearken unto the commandments of Jehovah your God, which I command you this day;너희가 오늘 내가 명하는 네 하나님 여호와의 계명에 귀를 기울이면 복이 임할 것이요,
28 and the curse, if you do not listen to the commandments of Yahweh your God, but turn away out of the way which I command you today, to go after other gods which you have not known.and the curse, if ye shall not hearken unto the commandments of Jehovah your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.너희가 네 하나님 여호와의 계명에 귀를 기울이지 않고, 오늘 내가 명하는 길에서 돌아서서 너희가 알지 못하던 다른 신들을 따라가면 저주가 임할 것이다.
29 It shall happen, when Yahweh your God brings you into the land that you go to possess, that you shall set the blessing on Mount Gerizim, and the curse on Mount Ebal.And it shall come to pass, when Jehovah thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, that thou shalt set the blessing upon mount Gerizim, and the curse upon mount Ebal.네 하나님 여호와께서 너희가 들어가 차지하려는 그 땅으로 너희를 인도하여 들이실 때에, 너희는 그리심 산 위에 복을 두고 에발 산 위에 저주를 두어라.
30 Aren’t they beyond the Jordan, behind the way of the going down of the sun, in the land of the Canaanites who dwell in the Arabah near Gilgal, beside the oaks of Moreh?Are they not beyond the Jordan, behind the way of the going down of the sun, in the land of the Canaanites that dwell in the Arabah, over against Gilgal, beside the oaks of Moreh?그 두 산은 요단 강 건너편, 해 지는 길 뒤쪽, 길갈 맞은편, 모레의 상수리나무 곁, 아라바에 사는 가나안 사람들의 땅에 있지 않으냐?
31 For you are to pass over the Jordan to go in to possess the land which Yahweh your God gives you, and you shall possess it and dwell in it.For ye are to pass over the Jordan to go in to possess the land which Jehovah your God giveth you, and ye shall possess it, and dwell therein.너희는 곧 요단 강을 건너가 네 하나님 여호와께서 너희에게 주시는 그 땅에 들어가 그것을 차지하게 될 것이니, 너희가 그것을 차지하고 거기서 살게 될 것이다.
32 You shall observe to do all the statutes and the ordinances which I set before you today.And ye shall observe to do all the statutes and the ordinances which I set before you this day.그러므로 너희는 오늘 내가 너희 앞에 두는 모든 규례와 법도를 지켜 행하여라.
