1 These are the statutes and the ordinances which you shall observe to do in the land which Yahweh, the God of your fathers, has given you to possess all the days that you live on the earth.These are the statutes and the ordinances which ye shall observe to do in the land which Jehovah, the God of thy fathers, hath given thee to possess it, all the days that ye live upon the earth.이것은 너희 조상의 하나님 여호와께서 너희에게 차지하라고 주신 땅에서, 너희가 이 땅에 사는 모든 날 동안 지켜 행해야 할 규례와 법도다.
2 You shall surely destroy all the places in which the nations that you shall dispossess served their gods: on the high mountains, and on the hills, and under every green tree.Ye shall surely destroy all the places wherein the nations that ye shall dispossess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree:너희가 쫓아낼 그 민족들이 자기들의 신을 섬기던 모든 곳, 곧 높은 산 위에든 언덕 위에든 푸른 나무 아래에든, 그 모든 곳을 너희는 반드시 다 헐어 버려라.
3 You shall break down their altars, dash their pillars in pieces, and burn their Asherah poles with fire. You shall cut down the engraved images of their gods. You shall destroy their name out of that place.and ye shall break down their altars, and dash in pieces their pillars, and burn their Asherim with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods; and ye shall destroy their name out of that place.그들의 제단을 헐고, 그들의 돌기둥을 깨뜨리며, 그들의 아세라 목상을 불사르고, 그들의 신상들을 찍어 내어, 그 이름을 그곳에서 없애 버려라.
4 You shall not do so to Yahweh your God.Ye shall not do so unto Jehovah your God.너희는 너희 하나님 여호와께 그렇게 하지 말아라.
5 But to the place which Yahweh your God shall choose out of all your tribes, to put his name there, you shall seek his habitation, and you shall come there.But unto the place which Jehovah your God shall choose out of all your tribes, to put his name there, even unto his habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come;오직 너희 하나님 여호와께서 자기 이름을 두시려고 너희 모든 지파 가운데서 택하실 그곳, 곧 그분이 머무실 곳을 너희는 찾아 그리로 나아가라.
6 You shall bring your burnt offerings, your sacrifices, your tithes, the wave offering of your hand, your vows, your free will offerings, and the firstborn of your herd and of your flock there.and thither ye shall bring your burnt-offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and the heave-offering of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill-offerings, and the firstlings of your herd and of your flock:너희는 그곳으로 너희의 번제물과 희생제물과 십일조와 손으로 드리는 요제와 서원제물과 자원제물과 소 떼와 양 떼의 처음 난 것을 가져오너라.
7 There you shall eat before Yahweh your God, and you shall rejoice in all that you put your hand to, you and your households, in which Yahweh your God has blessed you.and there ye shall eat before Jehovah your God, and ye shall rejoice in all that ye put your hand unto, ye and your households, wherein Jehovah thy God hath blessed thee.그리고 거기 너희 하나님 여호와 앞에서 먹고, 너희와 너희 가족이 손으로 한 모든 일을 두고 즐거워하여라. 이는 너희 하나님 여호와께서 너희에게 복을 주셨기 때문이다.
8 You shall not do all the things that we do here today, every man whatever is right in his own eyes;Ye shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes;우리가 오늘 여기서 행하는 대로, 곧 각 사람이 자기 보기에 옳은 대로 행하는 것을 너희는 따라 하지 말아라.
9 for you haven’t yet come to the rest and to the inheritance which Yahweh your God gives you.for ye are not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which Jehovah thy God giveth thee.너희가 아직은 너희 하나님 여호와께서 너희에게 주시는 안식과 기업에 이르지 못했기 때문이다.
10 But when you go over the Jordan and dwell in the land which Yahweh your God causes you to inherit, and he gives you rest from all your enemies around you, so that you dwell in safety,But when ye go over the Jordan, and dwell in the land which Jehovah your God causeth you to inherit, and he giveth you rest from all your enemies round about, so that ye dwell in safety;그러나 너희가 요단강을 건너가서, 너희 하나님 여호와께서 너희에게 기업으로 주시는 땅에 거하고, 그분이 너희 사방의 모든 원수에게서 너희에게 안식을 주셔서 너희가 안전히 살게 될 때에는,
11 then it shall happen that to the place which Yahweh your God shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there, there you shall bring all that I command you: your burnt offerings, your sacrifices, your tithes, the wave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which you vow to Yahweh.then it shall come to pass that to the place which Jehovah your God shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there, thither shall ye bring all that I command you: your burnt-offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the heave-offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye vow unto Jehovah.너희 하나님 여호와께서 자기 이름을 두려고 택하실 그곳으로, 너희는 내가 너희에게 명하는 모든 것, 곧 너희의 번제물과 희생제물과 십일조와 손으로 드리는 요제와 여호와께 서원한 가장 좋은 서원제물을 다 가져와라.
12 You shall rejoice before Yahweh your God — you, and your sons, your daughters, your male servants, your female servants, and the Levite who is within your gates, because he has no portion nor inheritance with you.And ye shall rejoice before Jehovah your God, ye, and your sons, and your daughters, and your men-servants, and your maid-servants, and the Levite that is within your gates, forasmuch as he hath no portion nor inheritance with you.너희는 너희 하나님 여호와 앞에서 즐거워하여라. 너희와 너희 아들딸과 너희 남종과 여종과, 너희 성문 안에 사는 레위 사람이 함께 즐거워하여라. 이는 그가 너희와 함께 받을 몫이나 기업이 없기 때문이다.
13 Be careful that you don’t offer your burnt offerings in every place that you see;Take heed to thyself that thou offer not thy burnt-offerings in every place that thou seest;너희는 스스로 조심하여, 너희 눈에 보이는 아무 곳에서나 너희 번제물을 드리지 말고,
14 but in the place which Yahweh chooses in one of your tribes, there you shall offer your burnt offerings, and there you shall do all that I command you.but in the place which Jehovah shall choose in one of thy tribes, there thou shalt offer thy burnt-offerings, and there thou shalt do all that I command thee.오직 여호와께서 너희 한 지파 가운데서 택하실 그곳에서만 너희 번제물을 드리고, 거기서 내가 너희에게 명하는 모든 것을 행하여라.
15 Yet you may kill and eat meat within all your gates, after all the desire of your soul, according to Yahweh your God’s blessing which he has given you. The unclean and the clean may eat of it, as of the gazelle and the deer.Notwithstanding, thou mayest kill and eat flesh within all thy gates, after all the desire of thy soul, according to the blessing of Jehovah thy God which he hath given thee: the unclean and the clean may eat thereof, as of the gazelle, and as of the hart.그러나 너희 하나님 여호와께서 너희에게 주신 복에 따라, 너희 성문 안 어디서든지 너희 마음껏 짐승을 잡아 그 고기를 먹을 수 있다. 노루나 사슴을 먹듯이, 부정한 자나 정결한 자나 다 그것을 먹을 수 있다.
16 Only you shall not eat the blood. You shall pour it out on the earth like water.Only ye shall not eat the blood; thou shalt pour it out upon the earth as water.다만 피는 먹지 말고, 물처럼 땅에 쏟아 버려라.
17 You may not eat within your gates the tithe of your grain, or of your new wine, or of your oil, or the firstborn of your herd or of your flock, nor any of your vows which you vow, nor your free will offerings, nor the wave offering of your hand;Thou mayest not eat within thy gates the tithe of thy grain, or of thy new wine, or of thine oil, or the firstlings of thy herd or of thy flock, nor any of thy vows which thou vowest, nor thy freewill-offerings, nor the heave-offering of thy hand;너희는 너희 곡식과 새 포도주와 기름의 십일조나, 소 떼와 양 떼의 처음 난 것이나, 너희가 서원한 어떤 서원제물이나, 너희 자원제물이나, 손으로 드리는 요제를 너희 성문 안에서 먹지 말고,
18 but you shall eat them before Yahweh your God in the place which Yahweh your God shall choose: you, your son, your daughter, your male servant, your female servant, and the Levite who is within your gates. You shall rejoice before Yahweh your God in all that you put your hand to.but thou shalt eat them before Jehovah thy God in the place which Jehovah thy God shall choose, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy man-servant, and thy maid-servant, and the Levite that is within thy gates: and thou shalt rejoice before Jehovah thy God in all that thou puttest thy hand unto.오직 너희 하나님 여호와께서 택하실 그곳에서 너희 하나님 여호와 앞에서 먹어라. 너희와 너희 아들과 딸과 남종과 여종과, 너희 성문 안에 사는 레위 사람이 함께 먹고, 손으로 한 모든 일을 두고 너희 하나님 여호와 앞에서 즐거워하여라.
19 Be careful that you don’t forsake the Levite as long as you live in your land.Take heed to thyself that thou forsake not the Levite as long as thou livest in thy land.너희는 스스로 조심하여, 너희 땅에 사는 동안 레위 사람을 저버리지 말아라.
20 When Yahweh your God enlarges your border, as he has promised you, and you say, “ I want to eat meat,” because your soul desires to eat meat, you may eat meat, after all the desire of your soul.When Jehovah thy God shall enlarge thy border, as he hath promised thee, and thou shalt say, I will eat flesh, because thy soul desireth to eat flesh; thou mayest eat flesh, after all the desire of thy soul.너희 하나님 여호와께서 약속하신 대로 너희 영토를 넓혀 주실 때에, 너희가 "고기를 먹고 싶다" 하며 고기를 먹고 싶어 하거든, 너희 마음껏 고기를 먹어도 된다.
21 If the place which Yahweh your God shall choose to put his name is too far from you, then you shall kill of your herd and of your flock, which Yahweh has given you, as I have commanded you; and you may eat within your gates, after all the desire of your soul.If the place which Jehovah thy God shall choose, to put his name there, be too far from thee, then thou shalt kill of thy herd and of thy flock, which Jehovah hath given thee, as I have commanded thee; and thou mayest eat within thy gates, after all the desire of thy soul.너희 하나님 여호와께서 자기 이름을 두려고 택하실 그곳이 너희에게서 너무 멀면, 내가 너희에게 명한 대로 여호와께서 너희에게 주신 소 떼와 양 떼를 잡아, 너희 성문 안에서 너희 마음껏 먹을 수 있다.
22 Even as the gazelle and as the deer is eaten, so you shall eat of it. The unclean and the clean may eat of it alike.Even as the gazelle and as the hart is eaten, so thou shalt eat thereof: the unclean and the clean may eat thereof alike.노루나 사슴을 먹듯이 너희가 그것을 먹되, 부정한 자나 정결한 자나 다 같이 그것을 먹을 수 있다.
23 Only be sure that you don’t eat the blood; for the blood is the life. You shall not eat the life with the meat.Only be sure that thou eat not the blood: for the blood is the life; and thou shalt not eat the life with the flesh.다만 피는 반드시 먹지 말아라. 피는 곧 생명이니, 너희는 생명을 고기와 함께 먹지 말아라.
24 You shall not eat it. You shall pour it out on the earth like water.Thou shalt not eat it; thou shalt pour it out upon the earth as water.너희는 피를 먹지 말고, 물처럼 땅에 쏟아 버려라.
25 You shall not eat it, that it may go well with you and with your children after you, when you do that which is right in Yahweh’s eyes.Thou shalt not eat it; that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, when thou shalt do that which is right in the eyes of Jehovah.너희는 그것을 먹지 말아라. 그리하면 너희와 너희 뒤를 잇는 자손이 잘되리니, 너희가 여호와께서 보시기에 옳은 일을 행하는 것이다.
26 Only your holy things which you have, and your vows, you shall take and go to the place which Yahweh shall choose.Only thy holy things which thou hast, and thy vows, thou shalt take, and go unto the place which Jehovah shall choose;다만 너희가 가진 거룩한 것과 너희의 서원제물은 가지고, 여호와께서 택하실 그곳으로 가서,
27 You shall offer your burnt offerings, the meat and the blood, on Yahweh your God’s altar. The blood of your sacrifices shall be poured out on Yahweh your God’s altar, and you shall eat the meat.and thou shalt offer thy burnt-offerings, the flesh and the blood, upon the altar of Jehovah thy God; and the blood of thy sacrifices shall be poured out upon the altar of Jehovah thy God; and thou shalt eat the flesh.너희 번제물의 고기와 피를 너희 하나님 여호와의 제단에 드려라. 너희 희생제물의 피는 너희 하나님 여호와의 제단에 쏟고, 그 고기는 너희가 먹어라.
28 Observe and hear all these words which I command you, that it may go well with you and with your children after you forever, when you do that which is good and right in Yahweh your God’s eyes.Observe and hear all these words which I command thee, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee for ever, when thou doest that which is good and right in the eyes of Jehovah thy God.내가 너희에게 명하는 이 모든 말씀을 지켜 들어라. 그리하면 너희와 너희 뒤를 잇는 자손이 영원히 잘되리니, 너희가 너희 하나님 여호와께서 보시기에 선하고 옳은 일을 행하는 것이다.
29 When Yahweh your God cuts off the nations from before you where you go in to dispossess them, and you dispossess them and dwell in their land,When Jehovah thy God shall cut off the nations from before thee, whither thou goest in to dispossess them, and thou dispossessest them, and dwellest in their land;너희 하나님 여호와께서 너희가 들어가 쫓아낼 그 민족들을 너희 앞에서 끊어 버리시고, 너희가 그들을 쫓아내어 그 땅에 거하게 될 때에,
30 be careful that you are not ensnared to follow them after they are destroyed from before you, and that you not inquire after their gods, saying, “ How do these nations serve their gods? I will do likewise.”take heed to thyself that thou be not ensnared to follow them, after that they are destroyed from before thee; and that thou inquire not after their gods, saying, How do these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise.너희는 스스로 조심하여, 그들이 너희 앞에서 멸망한 뒤에라도 그들을 따라 올무에 걸리지 말고, "이 민족들은 자기들의 신을 어떻게 섬겼을까? 나도 그렇게 하겠다" 하며 그들의 신을 알아보려 하지 말아라.
31 You shall not do so to Yahweh your God; for every abomination to Yahweh, which he hates, they have done to their gods; for they even burn their sons and their daughters in the fire to their gods.Thou shalt not do so unto Jehovah thy God: for every abomination to Jehovah, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters do they burn in the fire to their gods.너희는 너희 하나님 여호와께 그렇게 하지 말아라. 그들은 여호와께서 미워하시는 온갖 가증한 일을 자기들의 신에게 행하였으니, 심지어 자기 아들딸을 불에 살라 자기들의 신에게 바치기까지 하였다.
32 Whatever thing I command you, that you shall observe to do. You shall not add to it, nor take away from it.What thing soever I command you, that shall ye observe to do: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.내가 너희에게 명하는 모든 것을 너희는 지켜 행하라. 거기에 더하지도 말고 빼지도 말아라.
