1 The children of Israel again did that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight; and Yahweh delivered them into the hand of the Philistines forty years.And the children of Israel again did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah; and Jehovah delivered them into the hand of the Philistines forty years.이스라엘 자손이 다시 여호와께서 보시기에 악한 일을 행하니, 여호와께서 그들을 사십 년 동안 블레셋 사람의 손에 넘기셨다.
2 There was a certain man of Zorah, of the family of the Danites, whose name was Manoah; and his wife was barren, and childless.And there was a certain man of Zorah, of the family of the Danites, whose name was Manoah; and his wife was barren, and bare not.단 지파에 속한 소라 출신의 한 사람이 있었는데, 그의 이름은 마노아였다. 그의 아내는 임신하지 못하는 몸이라 자식을 낳지 못하였다.
3 Yahweh’s angel appeared to the woman, and said to her, “ See now, you are barren and childless; but you shall conceive and bear a son.And the angel of Jehovah appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold now, thou art barren, and bearest not; but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son.여호와의 천사가 그 여인에게 나타나 말하였다. "보라, 너는 임신하지 못하여 자식을 낳지 못하였으나, 이제 임신하여 아들을 낳을 것이다.
4 Now therefore please beware and drink no wine nor strong drink, and don’t eat any unclean thing;Now therefore beware, I pray thee, and drink no wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing:그러므로 이제 조심하여 포도주나 독한 술을 마시지 말고, 부정한 것은 아무것도 먹지 말아라.
5 for, behold, you shall conceive and give birth to a son. No razor shall come on his head, for the child shall be a Nazirite to God from the womb. He shall begin to save Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.”for, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come upon his head; for the child shall be a Nazirite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to save Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.보라, 너는 임신하여 아들을 낳을 것인데, 그 아이의 머리에 면도칼을 대어서는 안 된다. 그 아이는 모태에서부터 하나님께 바쳐진 나실 사람이 될 것이며, 그가 이스라엘을 블레셋 사람의 손에서 구원하기 시작할 것이다."
6 Then the woman came and told her husband, saying, “ A man of God came to me, and his face was like the face of the angel of God, very awesome. I didn’t ask him where he was from, neither did he tell me his name;Then the woman came and told her husband, saying, A man of God came unto me, and his countenance was like the countenance of the angel of God, very terrible; and I asked him not whence he was, neither told he me his name:그러자 그 여인이 가서 자기 남편에게 말하였다. "하나님의 사람이 내게 오셨는데, 그 얼굴이 하나님의 천사의 얼굴 같아서 매우 두려웠습니다. 나는 그분이 어디서 오셨는지 묻지 않았고, 그분도 자기 이름을 내게 알려 주지 않으셨습니다.
7 but he said to me, ‘ Behold, you shall conceive and bear a son; and now drink no wine nor strong drink. Don’t eat any unclean thing, for the child shall be a Nazirite to God from the womb to the day of his death.’”but he said unto me, Behold, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and now drink no wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing; for the child shall be a Nazirite unto God from the womb to the day of his death.그러나 그분이 내게 말씀하시기를 '보라, 너는 임신하여 아들을 낳을 것이니, 이제 포도주나 독한 술을 마시지 말고 부정한 것은 아무것도 먹지 말아라. 그 아이는 모태에서부터 죽는 날까지 하나님께 바쳐진 나실 사람이 될 것이다' 하셨습니다."
8 Then Manoah entreated Yahweh, and said, “ Oh, Lord, please let the man of God whom you sent come again to us, and teach us what we should do to the child who shall be born.”Then Manoah entreated Jehovah, and said, Oh, Lord, I pray thee, let the man of God whom thou didst send come again unto us, and teach us what we shall do unto the child that shall be born.그러자 마노아가 여호와께 간구하여 말하였다. "오, 주여, 주께서 보내신 그 하나님의 사람이 우리에게 다시 오게 하셔서, 태어날 아이를 위하여 우리가 어떻게 해야 할지 가르쳐 주게 하소서."
9 God listened to the voice of Manoah, and the angel of God came again to the woman as she sat in the field; but Manoah, her husband, wasn’t with her.And God hearkened to the voice of Manoah; and the angel of God came again unto the woman as she sat in the field: but Manoah her husband was not with her.하나님께서 마노아의 음성을 들으셨고, 그 여인이 들에 앉아 있을 때에 하나님의 천사가 다시 그 여인에게 왔는데, 그때 그의 남편 마노아는 함께 있지 않았다.
10 The woman hurried and ran, and told her husband, saying to him, “ Behold, the man who came to me that day has appeared to me.”And the woman made haste, and ran, and told her husband, and said unto him, Behold, the man hath appeared unto me, that came unto me the other day.그 여인이 급히 달려가 자기 남편에게 알려 말하였다. "보세요, 지난번에 내게 오셨던 그분이 다시 내게 나타나셨습니다."
11 Manoah arose and followed his wife, and came to the man, and said to him, “Are you the man who spoke to my wife?” He said, “ I am.”And Manoah arose, and went after his wife, and came to the man, and said unto him, Art thou the man that spakest unto the woman? And he said, I am.마노아가 일어나 아내를 따라가 그 사람에게 이르러 말하였다. "당신이 이 여인에게 말씀하신 그분이십니까?" 그분이 대답하셨다. "그렇다."
12 Manoah said, “ Now let your words happen. What shall the child’s way of life and mission be?”And Manoah said, Now let thy words come to pass: what shall be the ordering of the child, and how shall we do unto him?마노아가 말하였다. "이제 당신의 말씀이 이루어질 때에, 그 아이의 삶의 방식과 사명은 어떠해야 합니까?"
13 Yahweh’s angel said to Manoah, “ Of all that I said to the woman let her beware.And the angel of Jehovah said unto Manoah, Of all that I said unto the woman let her beware.여호와의 천사가 마노아에게 대답하였다. "내가 이 여인에게 말한 모든 것을 그가 삼가 지키게 하여라.
14 She may not eat of anything that comes of the vine, neither let her drink wine or strong drink, nor eat any unclean thing. Let her observe all that I commanded her.”She may not eat of anything that cometh of the vine, neither let her drink wine or strong drink, nor eat any unclean thing; all that I commanded her let her observe.포도나무에서 나는 것은 아무것도 먹지 말고, 포도주나 독한 술도 마시지 말며, 부정한 것은 아무것도 먹지 말고, 내가 그에게 명한 모든 것을 다 지키게 하여라."
15 Manoah said to Yahweh’s angel, “ Please stay with us, that we may make a young goat ready for you.”And Manoah said unto the angel of Jehovah, I pray thee, let us detain thee, that we may make ready a kid for thee.마노아가 여호와의 천사에게 말하였다. "청하오니 우리가 당신을 머무르게 하여, 당신을 위해 어린 염소를 준비하게 해 주십시오."
16 Yahweh’s angel said to Manoah, “ Though you detain me, I won’t eat your bread. If you will prepare a burnt offering, you must offer it to Yahweh.” For Manoah didn’t know that he was Yahweh’s angel.And the angel of Jehovah said unto Manoah, Though thou detain me, I will not eat of thy bread; and if thou wilt make ready a burnt-offering, thou must offer it unto Jehovah. For Manoah knew not that he was the angel of Jehovah.여호와의 천사가 마노아에게 말하였다. "네가 나를 머무르게 할지라도 나는 네 음식을 먹지 않을 것이다. 그러나 네가 번제를 드리려거든 여호와께 드려야 한다." 마노아는 그가 여호와의 천사인 줄을 알지 못하였던 것이다.
17 Manoah said to Yahweh’s angel, “ What is your name, that when your words happen, we may honor you?”And Manoah said unto the angel of Jehovah, What is thy name, that, when thy words come to pass, we may do thee honor?마노아가 여호와의 천사에게 말하였다. "당신의 이름이 무엇입니까? 당신의 말씀이 이루어질 때에 우리가 당신을 존귀하게 하려 합니다."
18 Yahweh’s angel said to him, “ Why do you ask about my name, since it is incomprehensible?”And the angel of Jehovah said unto him, Wherefore askest thou after my name, seeing it is wonderful?여호와의 천사가 그에게 말하였다. "어찌하여 내 이름을 묻느냐? 그것은 기이한 것이다."
19 So Manoah took the young goat with the meal offering, and offered it on the rock to Yahweh. Then the angel did an amazing thing as Manoah and his wife watched.So Manoah took the kid with the meal-offering, and offered it upon the rock unto Jehovah: and the angel did wondrously, and Manoah and his wife looked on.그리하여 마노아가 어린 염소와 소제물을 가져다가 바위 위에서 여호와께 드렸다. 그러자 마노아와 그의 아내가 지켜보는 가운데 그 천사가 기이한 일을 행하였다.
20 For when the flame went up toward the sky from off the altar, Yahweh’s angel ascended in the flame of the altar. Manoah and his wife watched; and they fell on their faces to the ground.For it came to pass, when the flame went up toward heaven from off the altar, that the angel of Jehovah ascended in the flame of the altar: and Manoah and his wife looked on; and they fell on their faces to the ground.곧 제단에서 불꽃이 하늘로 올라갈 때에, 여호와의 천사가 제단의 불꽃 가운데로 올라갔다. 마노아와 그의 아내가 이것을 보고 얼굴을 땅에 대고 엎드렸다.
21 But Yahweh’s angel didn’t appear to Manoah or to his wife any more. Then Manoah knew that he was Yahweh’s angel.But the angel of Jehovah did no more appear to Manoah or to his wife. Then Manoah knew that he was the angel of Jehovah.그 후로 여호와의 천사가 마노아와 그의 아내에게 다시는 나타나지 않았다. 그제야 마노아는 그분이 여호와의 천사인 줄을 알았다.
22 Manoah said to his wife, “ We shall surely die, because we have seen God.”And Manoah said unto his wife, We shall surely die, because we have seen God.마노아가 자기 아내에게 말하였다. "우리가 하나님을 보았으니 반드시 죽을 것이오."
23 But his wife said to him, “ If Yahweh were pleased to kill us, he wouldn’t have received a burnt offering and a meal offering at our hand, and he wouldn’t have shown us all these things, nor would he have told us such things as these at this time.”But his wife said unto him, If Jehovah were pleased to kill us, he would not have received a burnt-offering and a meal-offering at our hand, neither would he have showed us all these things, nor would at this time have told such things as these.그러나 그의 아내가 그에게 말하였다. "여호와께서 우리를 죽이려 하셨다면, 우리 손에서 번제와 소제를 받지 않으셨을 것이며, 이 모든 것을 우리에게 보여 주지도 않으셨을 것이고, 이때에 이런 일들을 우리에게 알려 주지도 않으셨을 것입니다."
24 The woman bore a son and named him Samson. The child grew, and Yahweh blessed him.And the woman bare a son, and called his name Samson: and the child grew, and Jehovah blessed him.그 여인이 아들을 낳고 그의 이름을 삼손이라 하였다. 그 아이가 자라매 여호와께서 그에게 복을 주셨다.
25 Yahweh’s Spirit began to move him in Mahaneh Dan, between Zorah and Eshtaol.And the Spirit of Jehovah began to move him in Mahaneh-dan, between Zorah and Eshtaol.여호와의 영이 소라와 에스다올 사이의 마하네단에서 삼손을 감동시키기 시작하셨다.
