2 and said to them, “ You have kept all that Moses the servant of Yahweh commanded you, and have listened to my voice in all that I commanded you.and said unto them, Ye have kept all that Moses the servant of Jehovah commanded you, and have hearkened unto my voice in all that I commanded you:그들에게 말했습니다. "여러분은 여호와의 종 모세가 여러분에게 명령한 모든 것을 지켰고, 내가 여러분에게 명령한 모든 일에서 내 말에 귀를 기울였습니다.
3 You have not left your brothers these many days to this day, but have performed the duty of the commandment of Yahweh your God.ye have not left your brethren these many days unto this day, but have kept the charge of the commandment of Jehovah your God.여러분은 이 오랜 날 동안 오늘에 이르기까지 여러분의 형제들을 떠나지 않고, 여러분의 하나님 여호와의 명령이 맡긴 임무를 잘 수행했습니다.
4 Now Yahweh your God has given rest to your brothers, as he spoke to them. Therefore now return and go to your tents, to the land of your possession, which Moses the servant of Yahweh gave you beyond the Jordan.And now Jehovah your God hath given rest unto your brethren, as he spake unto them: therefore now turn ye, and get you unto your tents, unto the land of your possession, which Moses the servant of Jehovah gave you beyond the Jordan.이제 여호와께서 말씀하신 대로 여러분의 하나님 여호와께서 여러분의 형제들에게 안식을 주셨습니다. 그러므로 이제 여러분은 돌아가십시오. 여호와의 종 모세가 요단 강 건너편에서 여러분에게 준 여러분의 소유의 땅, 여러분의 장막으로 가십시오.
5 Only take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law which Moses the servant of Yahweh commanded you, to love Yahweh your God, to walk in all his ways, to keep his commandments, to hold fast to him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.”Only take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law which Moses the servant of Jehovah commanded you, to love Jehovah your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.다만 여호와의 종 모세가 여러분에게 명령한 명령과 율법을 부지런히 지켜 행하십시오. 곧 여러분의 하나님 여호와를 사랑하고, 그분의 모든 길로 걸으며, 그분의 명령을 지키고, 그분께 굳게 붙어, 마음을 다하고 목숨을 다해 그분을 섬기십시오."

7 Now to the one half-tribe of Manasseh Moses had given inheritance in Bashan; but Joshua gave to the other half among their brothers beyond the Jordan westward. 8 and spoke to them, saying, “ Return with much wealth to your tents, with very much livestock, with silver, with gold, with bronze, with iron, and with very much clothing. Divide the plunder of your enemies with your brothers.”and spake unto them, saying, Return with much wealth unto your tents, and with very much cattle, with silver, and with gold, and with brass, and with iron, and with very much raiment: divide the spoil of your enemies with your brethren.그들에게 말했습니다. "많은 재물과 아주 많은 가축과 은과 금과 놋과 철과 아주 많은 옷을 가지고 여러분의 장막으로 돌아가십시오. 여러분의 원수들에게서 얻은 노략물을 여러분의 형제들과 함께 나누십시오."
9 The children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh returned, and departed from the children of Israel out of Shiloh, which is in the land of Canaan, to go to the land of Gilead, to the land of their possession, which they owned, according to the commandment of Yahweh by Moses.And the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh returned, and departed from the children of Israel out of Shiloh, which is in the land of Canaan, to go unto the land of Gilead, to the land of their possession, whereof they were possessed, according to the commandment of Jehovah by Moses.르우벤 자손과 갓 자손과 므낫세 반 지파가 가나안 땅에 있는 실로에서 이스라엘 자손을 떠나, 여호와께서 모세를 통해 명령하신 대로 그들이 차지한 소유의 땅 곧 길르앗 땅으로 가려고 돌아갔습니다.
10 When they came to the region near the Jordan, that is in the land of Canaan, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh built an altar there by the Jordan, a great altar to look at.And when they came unto the region about the Jordan, that is in the land of Canaan, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh built there an altar by the Jordan, a great altar to look upon.그들이 가나안 땅에 있는 요단 강 가 지역에 이르렀을 때에, 르우벤 자손과 갓 자손과 므낫세 반 지파가 거기 요단 강 가에 제단을 쌓았는데, 보기에 큰 제단이었습니다.
11 The children of Israel heard this, “ Behold, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh have built an altar along the border of the land of Canaan, in the region around the Jordan, on the side that belongs to the children of Israel.”And the children of Israel heard say, Behold, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh have built an altar in the forefront of the land of Canaan, in the region about the Jordan, on the side that pertaineth to the children of Israel.이스라엘 자손이 이 소식을 들었습니다. "보라, 르우벤 자손과 갓 자손과 므낫세 반 지파가 가나안 땅 맨 앞쪽, 요단 강 가 지역, 이스라엘 자손에게 속한 쪽에 제단을 쌓았다."

13 The children of Israel sent to the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to the half-tribe of Manasseh, into the land of Gilead, Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest.And the children of Israel sent unto the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to the half-tribe of Manasseh, into the land of Gilead, Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest,그리고 이스라엘 자손이 르우벤 자손과 갓 자손과 므낫세 반 지파가 있는 길르앗 땅으로, 제사장 엘르아살의 아들 비느하스를 보냈습니다.
14 With him were ten princes, one prince of a fathers’ house for each of the tribes of Israel; and they were each head of their fathers’ houses among the thousands of Israel.and with him ten princes, one prince of a fathers’ house for each of the tribes of Israel; and they were every one of them head of their fathers’ houses among the thousands of Israel.그와 함께 열 명의 지도자를 보냈는데, 이스라엘 각 지파마다 그 조상의 가문에서 한 지도자씩이었고, 그들은 저마다 이스라엘의 천천 가운데 자기 조상의 가문의 우두머리였습니다.
15 They came to the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to the half-tribe of Manasseh, to the land of Gilead, and they spoke with them, saying,And they came unto the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to the half-tribe of Manasseh, unto the land of Gilead, and they spake with them, saying,그들이 길르앗 땅에 있는 르우벤 자손과 갓 자손과 므낫세 반 지파에게 와서 그들과 더불어 말했습니다.
16 “ The whole congregation of Yahweh says, ‘ What trespass is this that you have committed against the God of Israel, to turn away today from following Yahweh, in that you have built yourselves an altar, to rebel today against Yahweh?Thus saith the whole congregation of Jehovah, What trespass is this that ye have committed against the God of Israel, to turn away this day from following Jehovah, in that ye have builded you an altar, to rebel this day against Jehovah?"여호와의 온 회중이 이렇게 말합니다. '여러분이 이스라엘의 하나님을 거슬러 저지른 이 배신은 무엇입니까? 오늘 여호와를 따르는 데서 돌아서서 스스로 제단을 쌓아 오늘 여호와를 거역하다니요?
17 Is the iniquity of Peor too little for us, from which we have not cleansed ourselves to this day, although there came a plague on the congregation of Yahweh,Is the iniquity of Peor too little for us, from which we have not cleansed ourselves unto this day, although there came a plague upon the congregation of Jehovah,우리가 브올의 죄악에서 오늘까지 우리 스스로를 깨끗하게 하지 못했고, 그 일로 여호와의 회중에 재앙이 임했는데, 그 죄악이 우리에게 작은 일입니까?
18 that you must turn away today from following Yahweh? It will be, since you rebel today against Yahweh, that tomorrow he will be angry with the whole congregation of Israel.that ye must turn away this day from following Jehovah? and it will be, seeing ye rebel to-day against Jehovah, that to-morrow he will be wroth with the whole congregation of Israel.그런데 여러분이 오늘 여호와를 따르는 데서 돌아서려 합니까? 여러분이 오늘 여호와를 거역하니, 내일 그분께서 이스라엘 온 회중에게 진노하실 것입니다.
19 However, if the land of your possession is unclean, then pass over to the land of the possession of Yahweh, in which Yahweh’s tabernacle dwells, and take possession among us; but don’t rebel against Yahweh, nor rebel against us, in building an altar other than Yahweh our God’s altar.Howbeit, if the land of your possession be unclean, then pass ye over unto the land of the possession of Jehovah, wherein Jehovah’s tabernacle dwelleth, and take possession among us: but rebel not against Jehovah, nor rebel against us, in building you an altar besides the altar of Jehovah our God.그러나 만일 여러분의 소유의 땅이 부정하다면, 여호와의 성막이 머무는 여호와의 소유의 땅으로 건너와 우리 가운데서 소유를 차지하십시오. 다만 우리 하나님 여호와의 제단 외에 다른 제단을 쌓아 여호와를 거역하거나 우리를 거역하지는 마십시오.
20 Didn’t Achan the son of Zerah commit a trespass in the devoted thing, and wrath fell on all the congregation of Israel? That man didn’t perish alone in his iniquity.’”Did not Achan the son of Zerah commit a trespass in the devoted thing, and wrath fell upon all the congregation of Israel? and that man perished not alone in his iniquity.세라의 아들 아간이 바쳐진 물건에 관하여 배신을 저질러 이스라엘 온 회중에 진노가 임하지 않았습니까? 그 사람은 자기 죄악으로 홀로 망하지 않았습니다.'"
21 Then the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh answered, and spoke to the heads of the thousands of Israel,Then the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh answered, and spake unto the heads of the thousands of Israel,그러자 르우벤 자손과 갓 자손과 므낫세 반 지파가 이스라엘의 천천의 우두머리들에게 대답하여 말했습니다.
22 “ The Mighty One, God, Yahweh, the Mighty One, God, Yahweh, he knows; and Israel shall know: if it was in rebellion, or if in trespass against Yahweh (don’t save us today ),The Mighty One, God, Jehovah, the Mighty One, God, Jehovah, he knoweth; and Israel he shall know: if it be in rebellion, or if in trespass against Jehovah ( save thou us not this day ),"전능하신 분, 하나님, 여호와, 전능하신 분, 하나님, 여호와께서 아십니다. 이스라엘도 알 것입니다. 만일 이것이 거역이거나 여호와를 거스른 배신이라면 (오늘 우리를 구하지 마십시오.)
23 that we have built us an altar to turn away from following Yahweh; or if to offer burnt offering or meal offering, or if to offer sacrifices of peace offerings, let Yahweh himself require it.that we have built us an altar to turn away from following Jehovah; or if to offer thereon burnt-offering or meal-offering, or if to offer sacrifices of peace-offerings thereon, let Jehovah himself require it;곧 우리가 여호와를 따르는 데서 돌아서려고 우리 스스로 제단을 쌓았다면, 또는 그 위에 번제나 곡식 제물을 드리거나 화목제의 제사를 드리려 했다면, 여호와께서 친히 갚으십시오.
24 “ If we have not out of concern done this, and for a reason, saying, ‘ In time to come your children might speak to our children, saying, “ What have you to do with Yahweh, the God of Israel?and if we have not rather out of carefulness done this, and of purpose, saying, In time to come your children might speak unto our children, saying, What have ye to do with Jehovah, the God of Israel?우리가 오히려 염려하여 까닭이 있어 이 일을 한 것이 아니라면 어찌하겠습니까? 우리는 이렇게 말했습니다. '훗날 여러분의 자손이 우리 자손에게 말하기를, "이스라엘의 하나님 여호와와 여러분이 무슨 상관이 있느냐?
25 For Yahweh has made the Jordan a border between us and you, you children of Reuben and children of Gad. You have no portion in Yahweh.”’ So your children might make our children cease from fearing Yahweh.for Jehovah hath made the Jordan a border between us and you, ye children of Reuben and children of Gad; ye have no portion in Jehovah: so might your children make our children cease from fearing Jehovah.르우벤 자손과 갓 자손이여, 여호와께서 요단 강을 우리와 여러분 사이의 경계로 삼으셨으니, 여러분에게는 여호와 안에 몫이 없다."라고 할까 합니다. 그래서 여러분의 자손이 우리 자손으로 하여금 여호와 경외하기를 그치게 할까 합니다.'
26 “ Therefore we said, ‘ Let’s now prepare to build ourselves an altar, not for burnt offering, nor for sacrifice;Therefore we said, Let us now prepare to build us an altar, not for burnt-offering, nor for sacrifice:그러므로 우리가 말했습니다. '자, 이제 우리 스스로 제단을 쌓되 번제를 위한 것도 아니고 제사를 위한 것도 아니게 하자.
27 but it will be a witness between us and you, and between our generations after us, that we may perform the service of Yahweh before him with our burnt offerings, with our sacrifices, and with our peace offerings;’ that your children may not tell our children in time to come, ‘ You have no portion in Yahweh.’but it shall be a witness between us and you, and between our generations after us, that we may do the service of Jehovah before him with our burnt-offerings, and with our sacrifices, and with our peace-offerings; that your children may not say to our children in time to come, Ye have no portion in Jehovah.다만 그것이 우리와 여러분 사이, 또 우리 뒤에 올 우리 세대 사이의 증거가 되게 하여, 우리가 그분 앞에서 우리 번제와 우리 제사와 우리 화목제로 여호와를 섬길 수 있게 하자. 그리하여 훗날 여러분의 자손이 우리 자손에게 "여러분에게는 여호와 안에 몫이 없다."라고 말하지 못하게 하자.'
28 “ Therefore we said, ‘ It shall be, when they tell us or our generations this in time to come, that we shall say, “ Behold the pattern of Yahweh’s altar, which our fathers made, not for burnt offering, nor for sacrifice; but it is a witness between us and you.”’Therefore said we, It shall be, when they so say to us or to our generations in time to come, that we shall say, Behold the pattern of the altar of Jehovah, which our fathers made, not for burnt-offering, nor for sacrifice; but it is a witness between us and you.그러므로 우리가 말했습니다. '훗날 그들이 우리나 우리 세대에게 이렇게 말하면, 우리가 이렇게 말하리라. "보라, 우리 조상이 만든 여호와의 제단의 모형이다. 번제를 위한 것도 아니고 제사를 위한 것도 아니라 우리와 여러분 사이의 증거다."'
29 “ Far be it from us that we should rebel against Yahweh, and turn away today from following Yahweh, to build an altar for burnt offering, for meal offering, or for sacrifice, besides Yahweh our God’s altar that is before his tabernacle!”Far be it from us that we should rebel against Jehovah, and turn away this day from following Jehovah, to build an altar for burnt-offering, for meal-offering, or for sacrifice, besides the altar of Jehovah our God that is before his tabernacle.우리 하나님 여호와의 성막 앞에 있는 그분의 제단 외에 번제나 곡식 제물이나 제사를 위한 다른 제단을 쌓아, 오늘 여호와를 거역하고 여호와를 따르는 데서 돌아서는 일은 우리에게 결코 없을 것입니다!"
30 When Phinehas the priest, and the princes of the congregation, even the heads of the thousands of Israel that were with him, heard the words that the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the children of Manasseh spoke, it pleased them well.And when Phinehas the priest, and the princes of the congregation, even the heads of the thousands of Israel that were with him, heard the words that the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the children of Manasseh spake, it pleased them well.제사장 비느하스와 회중의 지도자들 곧 그와 함께한 이스라엘 천천의 우두머리들이 르우벤 자손과 갓 자손과 므낫세 자손이 한 말을 듣고 매우 기뻐했습니다.
31 Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest said to the children of Reuben, to the children of Gad, and to the children of Manasseh, “ Today we know that Yahweh is among us, because you have not committed this trespass against Yahweh. Now you have delivered the children of Israel out of Yahweh’s hand.”And Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest said unto the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to the children of Manasseh, This day we know that Jehovah is in the midst of us, because ye have not committed this trespass against Jehovah: now have ye delivered the children of Israel out of the hand of Jehovah.제사장 엘르아살의 아들 비느하스가 르우벤 자손과 갓 자손과 므낫세 자손에게 말했습니다. "여러분이 여호와를 거슬러 이 배신을 저지르지 않았으니, 오늘 우리는 여호와께서 우리 가운데 계심을 압니다. 이제 여러분이 이스라엘 자손을 여호와의 손에서 건져 냈습니다."
32 Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, and the princes, returned from the children of Reuben, and from the children of Gad, out of the land of Gilead, to the land of Canaan, to the children of Israel, and brought them word again.And Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, and the princes, returned from the children of Reuben, and from the children of Gad, out of the land of Gilead, unto the land of Canaan, to the children of Israel, and brought them word again.제사장 엘르아살의 아들 비느하스와 지도자들이 르우벤 자손과 갓 자손에게서 떠나 길르앗 땅에서 가나안 땅 이스라엘 자손에게 돌아가 그들에게 그 말을 전했습니다.
33 The thing pleased the children of Israel; and the children of Israel blessed God, and spoke no more of going up against them to war, to destroy the land in which the children of Reuben and the children of Gad lived.And the thing pleased the children of Israel; and the children of Israel blessed God, and spake no more of going up against them to war, to destroy the land wherein the children of Reuben and the children of Gad dwelt.그 일이 이스라엘 자손을 기쁘게 했고, 이스라엘 자손이 하나님을 찬송하며, 르우벤 자손과 갓 자손이 사는 땅을 멸하려고 그들을 치러 싸우러 올라가는 일을 다시는 말하지 않았습니다.
34 The children of Reuben and the children of Gad named the altar “ A Witness Between Us that Yahweh is God.”And the children of Reuben and the children of Gad called the altar Ed: For, said they, it is a witness between us that Jehovah is God.르우벤 자손과 갓 자손이 그 제단을 "여호와는 하나님이심을 우리 사이에 증언하는 것"이라 이름 지었습니다.
