1 In those days Hezekiah was sick and dying. Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came to him, and said to him, “ Yahweh says, ‘ Set your house in order; for you will die, and not live.’”In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith Jehovah, Set thy house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.그 무렵 히스기야가 병이 들어 죽을 지경이 되었다. 아모스의 아들 선지자 이사야가 그에게 와서 말하였다. "여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하십니다. '네 집안을 정리하여라. 너는 죽고 살지 못할 것이다.'"
2 Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed to Yahweh, saying,Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto Jehovah, saying,그러자 히스기야가 얼굴을 벽 쪽으로 돌리고 여호와께 기도하며 말하였다.
3 “ Remember now, Yahweh, I beg you, how I have walked before you in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in your sight.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.Remember now, O Jehovah, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore."여호와여, 이제 간구하오니, 제가 어떻게 진실하고 온전한 마음으로 주 앞에서 살아왔으며 주께서 보시기에 선한 일을 행하였는지 기억해 주십시오." 그러고 나서 히스기야가 통곡하였다.
4 Before Isaiah had gone out into the middle part of the city, Yahweh’s word came to him, saying,And it came to pass, before Isaiah was gone out into the middle part of the city, that the word of Jehovah came to him, saying,이사야가 성읍 중앙까지 채 나가기도 전에 여호와의 말씀이 그에게 임하여 이르셨다.
5 “ Turn back, and tell Hezekiah the prince of my people, ‘ Yahweh, the God of David your father, says, “ I have heard your prayer. I have seen your tears. Behold, I will heal you. On the third day, you will go up to Yahweh’s house.Turn back, and say to Hezekiah the prince of my people, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee; on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of Jehovah."돌아가서 내 백성의 통치자 히스기야에게 전하여라. '네 조상 다윗의 하나님 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. 내가 네 기도를 들었고 네 눈물을 보았다. 보아라, 내가 너를 낫게 하겠다. 사흘째 되는 날에 너는 여호와의 성전에 올라갈 것이다.
6 I will add to your days fifteen years. I will deliver you and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria. I will defend this city for my own sake, and for my servant David’s sake.”’”And I will add unto thy days fifteen years; and I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for mine own sake, and for my servant David’s sake.내가 네 수명에 십오 년을 더해 주겠다. 또한 내가 너와 이 성읍을 앗시리아 왕의 손에서 건져 내겠다. 나는 나 자신을 위하여, 또 내 종 다윗을 위하여 이 성읍을 지켜 주겠다.'"
7 Isaiah said, “ Take a cake of figs.” They took and laid it on the boil, and he recovered.And Isaiah said, Take a cake of figs. And they took and laid it on the boil, and he recovered.이사야가 말하였다. "무화과 반죽을 가져오십시오." 사람들이 그것을 가져다가 종기 위에 붙이니 그가 회복되었다.
8 Hezekiah said to Isaiah, “ What will be the sign that Yahweh will heal me, and that I will go up to Yahweh’s house the third day?”And Hezekiah said unto Isaiah, What shall be the sign that Jehovah will heal me, and that I shall go up unto the house of Jehovah the third day?히스기야가 이사야에게 말하였다. "여호와께서 나를 낫게 하시고 내가 사흘째 되는 날에 여호와의 성전에 올라가게 되리라는 것을 무엇으로 보증하는 표징이 있겠습니까?"
9 Isaiah said, “ This will be the sign to you from Yahweh, that Yahweh will do the thing that he has spoken: should the shadow go forward ten steps, or go back ten steps?”And Isaiah said, This shall be the sign unto thee from Jehovah, that Jehovah will do the thing that he hath spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten steps, or go back ten steps?이사야가 말하였다. "여호와께서 하신 말씀을 그대로 이루시리라는, 여호와께서 주시는 표징은 이것입니다. 그림자가 열 칸 앞으로 나아가게 할까요, 아니면 열 칸 뒤로 물러가게 할까요?"
10 Hezekiah answered, “ It is a light thing for the shadow to go forward ten steps. No, but let the shadow return backward ten steps.”And Hezekiah answered, It is a light thing for the shadow to decline ten steps: nay, but let the shadow return backward ten steps.히스기야가 대답하였다. "그림자가 열 칸 앞으로 나아가는 것은 쉬운 일입니다. 그러지 말고 그림자가 열 칸 뒤로 물러가게 해 주십시오."
11 Isaiah the prophet cried to Yahweh; and he brought the shadow ten steps backward, by which it had gone down on the sundial of Ahaz.And Isaiah the prophet cried unto Jehovah; and he brought the shadow ten steps backward, by which it had gone down on the dial of Ahaz.선지자 이사야가 여호와께 부르짖으니, 여호와께서 아하스의 해시계 위로 내려가 있던 그림자를 열 칸 뒤로 물러가게 하셨다.
12 At that time Berodach Baladan the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present to Hezekiah, for he had heard that Hezekiah had been sick.At that time Berodach-baladan the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present unto Hezekiah; for he had heard that Hezekiah had been sick.그때에 발라단의 아들이며 바벨론 왕인 브로닥발라단이 히스기야가 병들었다는 소식을 듣고 그에게 편지와 예물을 보냈다.
13 Hezekiah listened to them, and showed them all the storehouse of his precious things — the silver, the gold, the spices, and the precious oil, and the house of his armor, and all that was found in his treasures. There was nothing in his house, or in all his dominion, that Hezekiah didn’t show them.And Hezekiah hearkened unto them, and showed them all the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious oil, and the house of his armor, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah showed them not.히스기야가 그들의 말에 귀를 기울이고는, 자기 보물 창고에 있는 모든 것 곧 은과 금과 향료와 값진 기름과 무기고와 보물 창고에 있는 모든 것을 그들에게 보여 주었다. 히스기야가 자기 집안과 온 영토 안에서 그들에게 보여 주지 않은 것이 하나도 없었다.
14 Then Isaiah the prophet came to King Hezekiah, and said to him, “ What did these men say? From where did they come to you?” Hezekiah said, “ They have come from a far country, even from Babylon.”Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from whence came they unto thee? And Hezekiah said, They are come from a far country, even from Babylon.그러자 선지자 이사야가 히스기야 왕에게 와서 말하였다. "그 사람들이 무슨 말을 하였습니까? 그들이 어디에서 왕에게 왔습니까?" 히스기야가 말하였다. "그들은 먼 나라에서, 곧 바벨론에서 왔습니다."
15 He said, “ What have they seen in your house?” Hezekiah answered, “ They have seen all that is in my house. There is nothing among my treasures that I have not shown them.”And he said, What have they seen in thy house? And Hezekiah answered, All that is in my house have they seen: there is nothing among my treasures that I have not showed them.이사야가 말하였다. "그들이 왕의 집안에서 무엇을 보았습니까?" 히스기야가 대답하였다. "그들은 내 집안에 있는 모든 것을 보았습니다. 내가 그들에게 보여 주지 않은 보물이 하나도 없습니다."
16 Isaiah said to Hezekiah, “ Hear Yahweh’s word.And Isaiah said unto Hezekiah, Hear the word of Jehovah.이사야가 히스기야에게 말하였다. "여호와의 말씀을 들으십시오.
17 ‘ Behold, the days come that all that is in your house, and that which your fathers have laid up in store to this day, will be carried to Babylon. Nothing will be left,’ says Yahweh.Behold, the days come, that all that is in thy house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store unto this day, shall be carried to Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith Jehovah.'보아라, 날이 이르면 네 집안에 있는 모든 것과 네 조상들이 오늘까지 쌓아 둔 것이 바벨론으로 옮겨질 것이다. 남는 것이 하나도 없을 것이다.' 여호와께서 말씀하신다.
18 ‘ They will take away some of your sons who will issue from you, whom you will father; and they will be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.’”And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, whom thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.'또 네게서 태어날 네 아들들, 곧 네가 낳을 자손 가운데 일부를 그들이 데려가 바벨론 왕의 궁전에서 내시가 되게 할 것이다.'"
19 Then Hezekiah said to Isaiah, “ Yahweh’s word which you have spoken is good.” He said moreover, “Isn’t it so, if peace and truth will be in my days?”Then said Hezekiah unto Isaiah, Good is the word of Jehovah which thou hast spoken. He said moreover, Is it not so, if peace and truth shall be in my days?그러자 히스기야가 이사야에게 말하였다. "당신이 전한 여호와의 말씀이 좋습니다." 그가 또 말하였다. "내가 사는 동안에 평화와 진실이 있다면 좋지 않겠습니까?"

21 Hezekiah slept with his fathers, and Manasseh his son reigned in his place.And Hezekiah slept with his fathers; and Manasseh his son reigned in his stead.히스기야가 자기 조상들과 함께 잠드니, 그의 아들 므낫세가 그를 이어 왕이 되었다.
