And so it came to pass.이것은 여호와께서 예후에게 하신 말씀, 곧 "네 아들들이 사 대까지 이스라엘 왕좌에 앉으리라" 하신 말씀이 그대로 이루어진 것이다.
13 Shallum the son of Jabesh began to reign in the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah king of Judah, and he reigned for a month in Samaria.Shallum the son of Jabesh began to reign in the nine and thirtieth year of Uzziah king of Judah; and he reigned the space of a month in Samaria.유다 왕 웃시야 제삼십구년에 야베스의 아들 살룸이 왕이 되어 사마리아에서 한 달 동안 다스렸다.
14 Menahem the son of Gadi went up from Tirzah, came to Samaria, struck Shallum the son of Jabesh in Samaria, killed him, and reigned in his place.And Menahem the son of Gadi went up from Tirzah, and came to Samaria, and smote Shallum the son of Jabesh in Samaria, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.가디의 아들 므나헴이 디르사에서 올라와 사마리아에 이르러, 사마리아에서 야베스의 아들 살룸을 쳐 죽이고, 그를 이어 왕이 되었다.

19 Pul the king of Assyria came against the land, and Menahem gave Pul one thousand talents of silver, that his hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom in his hand.There came against the land Pul the king of Assyria; and Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver, that his hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom in his hand.아시리아 왕 불이 그 땅을 치러 오자, 므나헴은 불의 손이 자기와 함께하여 그의 손에 나라를 굳게 세워 주도록 그에게 은 천 달란트를 주었다.
20 Menahem exacted the money from Israel, even from all the mighty men of wealth, from each man fifty shekels of silver, to give to the king of Assyria. 25 Pekah the son of Remaliah, his captain, conspired against him and attacked him in Samaria, in the fortress of the king’s house, with Argob and Arieh; and with him were fifty men of the Gileadites. 33 He was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. 37 In those days, Yahweh began to send Rezin the king of Syria and Pekah the son of Remaliah against Judah.In those days Jehovah began to send against Judah Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah.그 무렵에 여호와께서 시리아 왕 르신과 르말랴의 아들 베가를 보내어 유다를 치게 하기 시작하셨다.
