1 A great sign was seen in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.And a great sign was seen in heaven: a woman arrayed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars;하늘에 큰 표징이 나타났습니다. 한 여자가 해를 옷처럼 둘렀고, 그 발 아래에는 달이 있으며, 머리에는 열두 별로 된 면류관을 쓰고 있었습니다.
2 She was with child. She cried out in pain, laboring to give birth.and she was with child; and she crieth out, travailing in birth, and in pain to be delivered.그 여자는 아기를 배고 있었는데, 해산의 고통 속에서 아이를 낳으려고 진통하며 부르짖었습니다.
3 Another sign was seen in heaven. Behold, a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads seven crowns.And there was seen another sign in heaven: and behold, a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his heads seven diadems.또 다른 표징이 하늘에 나타났습니다. 보십시오, 크고 붉은 용이 있는데, 머리가 일곱이고 뿔이 열이며, 그 머리마다 면류관을 쓰고 있었습니다.
4 His tail drew one third of the stars of the sky, and threw them to the earth. The dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she gave birth he might devour her child.And his tail draweth the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon standeth before the woman that is about to be delivered, that when she is delivered he may devour her child.그 꼬리가 하늘의 별 삼분의 일을 끌어다가 땅으로 내던졌습니다. 그 용은 막 아이를 낳으려는 여자 앞에 서서, 그 여자가 아이를 낳으면 그 아이를 삼키려고 기다리고 있었습니다.
5 She gave birth to a son, a male child, who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron. Her child was caught up to God and to his throne.And she was delivered of a son, a man child, who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and unto his throne.그 여자가 아들을 낳았으니, 곧 장차 쇠 막대기로 모든 나라를 다스릴 남자아이였습니다. 그러나 그 아이는 하나님께로, 또 그분의 보좌로 들려 올라갔습니다.
6 The woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that there they may nourish her one thousand two hundred sixty days.And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that there they may nourish her a thousand two hundred and threescore days.그 여자는 광야로 도망쳤습니다. 그곳에는 하나님께서 그를 위해 마련해 두신 곳이 있어서, 천이백육십 일 동안 그곳에서 그를 보살피게 하셨습니다.
7 There was war in the sky. Michael and his angels made war on the dragon. The dragon and his angels made war.And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels going forth to war with the dragon; and the dragon warred and his angels;하늘에서 전쟁이 일어났습니다. 미가엘과 그의 천사들이 용과 맞서 싸웠고, 용과 그의 부하들도 맞서 싸웠습니다.
8 They didn’ t prevail. No place was found for them any more in heaven.and they prevailed not, neither was their place found any more in heaven.그러나 용의 무리는 이기지 못하였고, 더 이상 하늘에서 그들이 있을 곳을 찾지 못하였습니다.
9 The great dragon was thrown down, the old serpent, he who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world. He was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.And the great dragon was cast down, the old serpent, he that is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world; he was cast down to the earth, and his angels were cast down with him.그 큰 용, 곧 옛 뱀이 내쫓겼습니다. 그는 마귀라고도 하고 사탄이라고도 하며, 온 세상을 미혹하는 자입니다. 그가 땅으로 내쫓기고, 그의 부하 천사들도 그와 함께 내쫓겼습니다.
10 I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “ Now the salvation, the power, and the Kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ has come; for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them before our God day and night.And I heard a great voice in heaven, saying, Now is come the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, who accuseth them before our God day and night.그때 나는 하늘에서 큰 음성이 이렇게 말하는 것을 들었습니다. "이제 우리 하나님의 구원과 능력과 나라와 그분이 세우신 그리스도의 권세가 임하였다. 우리 형제들을 고발하던 자, 곧 우리 하나님 앞에서 밤낮으로 그들을 고발하던 자가 내쫓겼기 때문이다.
11 They overcame him because of the Lamb’s blood, and because of the word of their testimony. They didn’ t love their life, even to death.And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb, and because of the word of their testimony; and they loved not their life even unto death.우리 형제들은 어린양의 피와 자기들이 증언한 말씀으로 그 고발자를 이겼다. 그들은 죽기까지 자기 목숨을 아끼지 않았다.
12 Therefore rejoice, heavens, and you who dwell in them. Woe to the earth and to the sea, because the devil has gone down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has but a short time.”Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe for the earth and for the sea: because the devil is gone down unto you, having great wrath, knowing that he hath but a short time.그러므로 하늘들과 그 안에 사는 너희는 즐거워하여라. 그러나 땅과 바다에는 화가 있을 것이다. 마귀가 자기 때가 얼마 남지 않은 것을 알고, 크게 분노하여 너희에게 내려갔기 때문이다."
13 When the dragon saw that he was thrown down to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male child.And when the dragon saw that he was cast down to the earth, he persecuted the woman that brought forth the man child.용은 자기가 땅으로 내쫓긴 것을 보고, 남자아이를 낳은 그 여자를 박해하였습니다.
14 Two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, so that she might be nourished for a time, times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.And there were given to the woman the two wings of the great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness unto her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.그러나 그 여자에게 큰 독수리의 두 날개가 주어졌습니다. 이는 그 여자가 광야에 있는 자기 처소로 날아가, 뱀의 낯을 피해 한 때와 두 때와 반 때 동안 그곳에서 보살핌을 받게 하려는 것이었습니다.
15 The serpent spewed water out of his mouth after the woman like a river, that he might cause her to be carried away by the stream.And the serpent cast out of his mouth after the woman water as a river, that he might cause her to be carried away by the stream.그 뱀은 여자를 휩쓸어 떠내려 보내려고, 자기 입에서 강물 같은 물을 토해 여자를 뒤쫓았습니다.
16 The earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the river which the dragon spewed out of his mouth.And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth and swallowed up the river which the dragon cast out of his mouth.그러나 땅이 그 여자를 도왔습니다. 땅이 그 입을 벌려, 용이 입에서 토해 낸 그 강물을 삼켜 버렸습니다.
17 The dragon grew angry with the woman, and went away to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep God’ s commandments and hold Jesus’ testimony.And the dragon waxed wroth with the woman, and went away to make war with the rest of her seed, that keep the commandments of God, and hold the testimony of Jesus:그러자 용은 그 여자에게 크게 분노하여, 그 여자의 남은 자손, 곧 하나님의 계명을 지키며 예수의 증언을 굳게 붙드는 자들과 싸우러 나아갔습니다.
