1 When he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.And when he opened the seventh seal, there followed a silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.어린양이 일곱째 봉인을 떼시자, 하늘에는 반 시간쯤 정적이 흘렀습니다.
2 I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them.And I saw the seven angels that stand before God; and there were given unto them seven trumpets.나는 하나님 앞에 서 있는 일곱 천사를 보았는데, 그들에게 일곱 나팔이 주어졌습니다.
3 Another angel came and stood over the altar, having a golden censer. Much incense was given to him, that he should add it to the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar which was before the throne.And another angel came and stood over the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should add it unto the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.또 다른 천사가 와서 제단 곁에 섰는데, 그는 금 향로를 들고 있었습니다. 많은 향이 그에게 주어졌으니, 이는 보좌 앞 금 제단 위에서 모든 성도의 기도와 함께 드리게 하려는 것이었습니다.
4 The smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, went up before God out of the angel’s hand.And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, went up before God out of the angel’s hand.향의 연기가 성도들의 기도와 함께 그 천사의 손에서 하나님 앞으로 올라갔습니다.
5 The angel took the censer, and he filled it with the fire of the altar, then threw it on the earth. Thunders, sounds, lightnings, and an earthquake followed.And the angel taketh the censer; and he filled it with the fire of the altar, and cast it upon the earth: and there followed thunders, and voices, and lightnings, and an earthquake.그 천사가 향로를 가져다가 제단의 불을 가득 담아 땅에 쏟으니, 천둥과 요란한 소리와 번개와 지진이 일어났습니다.
6 The seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.And the seven angels that had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.일곱 나팔을 가진 일곱 천사가 나팔을 불려고 준비했습니다.
7 The first sounded, and there followed hail and fire, mixed with blood, and they were thrown to the earth. One third of the earth was burned up, and one third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up.And the first sounded, and there followed hail and fire, mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of the earth was burnt up, and the third part of the trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.첫째 천사가 나팔을 부니, 피가 섞인 우박과 불이 뒤따라 땅에 쏟아졌습니다. 그래서 땅의 삼분의 일이 타 버리고, 나무의 삼분의 일이 타 버리고, 푸른 풀이 모두 타 버렸습니다.
8 The second angel sounded, and something like a great burning mountain was thrown into the sea. One third of the sea became blood,And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;둘째 천사가 나팔을 부니, 불타는 큰 산과 같은 것이 바다에 던져졌습니다. 그래서 바다의 삼분의 일이 피가 되고,
9 and one third of the living creatures which were in the sea died. One third of the ships were destroyed.and there died the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, even they that had life; and the third part of the ships was destroyed.바다 속에 살던 생물의 삼분의 일이 죽었으며, 배들의 삼분의 일이 파괴되었습니다.
10 The third angel sounded, and a great star fell from the sky, burning like a torch, and it fell on one third of the rivers, and on the springs of water.And the third angel sounded, and there fell from heaven a great star, burning as a torch, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of the waters;셋째 천사가 나팔을 부니, 횃불처럼 타는 큰 별 하나가 하늘에서 떨어져, 강들의 삼분의 일과 물의 근원들 위에 떨어졌습니다.
11 The name of the star is “ Wormwood.” One third of the waters became wormwood. Many people died from the waters, because they were made bitter.and the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.그 별의 이름은 "쓴 쑥"이라 합니다. 물의 삼분의 일이 쓴 쑥처럼 되니, 그 물이 써졌으므로 많은 사람이 그 물 때문에 죽었습니다.
12 The fourth angel sounded, and one third of the sun was struck, and one third of the moon, and one third of the stars, so that one third of them would be darkened; and the day wouldn’ t shine for one third of it, and the night in the same way.And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; that the third part of them should be darkened, and the day should not shine for the third part of it, and the night in like manner.넷째 천사가 나팔을 부니, 해의 삼분의 일과 달의 삼분의 일과 별들의 삼분의 일이 타격을 받아 그 삼분의 일이 어두워졌습니다. 그래서 낮의 삼분의 일이 빛을 잃고, 밤도 마찬가지가 되었습니다.
13 I saw, and I heard an eagle, flying in mid heaven, saying with a loud voice, “ Woe! Woe! Woe to those who dwell on the earth, because of the other blasts of the trumpets of the three angels, who are yet to sound!”And I saw, and I heard an eagle, flying in mid heaven, saying with a great voice, Woe, woe, woe, for them that dwell on the earth, by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, who are yet to sound.내가 보니, 한 독수리가 하늘 한가운데로 날아가며 큰 소리로 외쳤습니다. "화 있으리라! 화 있으리라! 화 있으리라, 땅에 사는 자들에게! 아직 나팔을 불려고 남아 있는 세 천사의 다른 나팔 소리들 때문이로다!"
