1 A reed like a rod was given to me. Someone said, “ Rise and measure God’s temple, and the altar, and those who worship in it.And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and one said, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.막대기 같은 갈대 하나가 내게 주어졌다. 그러자 누군가가 말했다. "일어나서 하나님의 성전과 제단과 거기에서 예배하는 사람들을 측량하여라.
2 Leave out the court which is outside of the temple, and don’ t measure it, for it has been given to the nations. They will tread the holy city under foot for forty-two months.And the court which is without the temple leave without, and measure it not; for it hath been given unto the nations: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.그러나 성전 바깥뜰은 빼놓고 측량하지 말아라. 그것은 이방 사람들에게 주어졌으니, 그들이 마흔두 달 동안 그 거룩한 성을 짓밟을 것이다.
3 I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.”And I will give unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.내가 나의 두 증인에게 권능을 주리니, 그들이 굵은 베옷을 입고 천이백육십 일 동안 예언할 것이다."
4 These are the two olive trees and the two lamp stands, standing before the Lord of the earth.These are the two olive trees and the two candlesticks, standing before the Lord of the earth.이들은 그 땅의 주 앞에 서 있는 두 그루의 올리브 나무요 두 개의 등잔대다.
5 If anyone desires to harm them, fire proceeds out of their mouth and devours their enemies. If anyone desires to harm them, he must be killed in this way.And if any man desireth to hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth and devoureth their enemies; and if any man shall desire to hurt them, in this manner must he be killed.누구든지 그들을 해치려 하면, 그들의 입에서 불이 나와 그 원수들을 삼켜 버린다. 누구든지 그들을 해치려 하는 자는 이런 식으로 반드시 죽임을 당할 것이다.
6 These have the power to shut up the sky, that it may not rain during the days of their prophecy. They have power over the waters, to turn them into blood, and to strike the earth with every plague, as often as they desire.These have the power to shut the heaven, that it rain not during the days of their prophecy: and they have power over the waters to turn them into blood, and to smite the earth with every plague, as often as they shall desire.이들은 그 예언하는 날 동안 비가 내리지 못하도록 하늘을 닫는 권능을 가졌고, 물을 다스려 피로 변하게 하며, 원하는 대로 언제든지 온갖 재앙으로 땅을 칠 권능을 가졌다.
7 When they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up out of the abyss will make war with them, and overcome them, and kill them.And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that cometh up out of the abyss shall make war with them, and overcome them, and kill them.그들이 자기들의 증언을 마치면, 무저갱에서 올라오는 그 짐승이 그들과 싸워 이기고 그들을 죽일 것이다.
8 Their dead bodies will be in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified.And their dead bodies lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified.그들의 시체는 그 큰 성의 거리에 놓일 것인데, 그 성은 영적으로 소돔이라고도 하고 이집트라고도 하며, 그들의 주께서 십자가에 못 박히신 곳이기도 하다.
9 From among the peoples, tribes, languages, and nations, people will look at their dead bodies for three and a half days, and will not allow their dead bodies to be laid in a tomb.And from among the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations do men look upon their dead bodies three days and a half, and suffer not their dead bodies to be laid in a tomb.백성들과 종족들과 언어들과 민족들 가운데서 사람들이 사흘 반 동안 그들의 시체를 바라볼 것이며, 그 시체를 무덤에 묻지 못하게 할 것이다.
10 Those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, and they will be glad. They will give gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth.And they that dwell on the earth rejoice over them, and make merry; and they shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwell on the earth.땅에 사는 자들은 그들 때문에 기뻐하고 즐거워하며 서로 선물을 주고받을 것이니, 이는 이 두 선지자가 땅에 사는 자들을 괴롭혔기 때문이다.
11 After the three and a half days, the breath of life from God entered into them, and they stood on their feet. Great fear fell on those who saw them.And after the three days and a half the breath of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them that beheld them.사흘 반이 지난 뒤에, 하나님께로부터 온 생명의 기운이 그들 속으로 들어가니, 그들이 제 발로 일어섰다. 그들을 본 사람들에게 큰 두려움이 임했다.
12 I heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “ Come up here!” They went up into heaven in a cloud, and their enemies saw them.And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they went up into heaven in the cloud; and their enemies beheld them.그때 나는 하늘에서 큰 음성이 그들에게 "이리로 올라오너라!" 하고 말하는 것을 들었다. 그러자 그들이 구름을 타고 하늘로 올라갔고, 그 원수들도 그것을 보았다.
13 In that day there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.And in that hour there was a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell; and there were killed in the earthquake seven thousand persons: and the rest were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.그날에 큰 지진이 일어나서 그 성의 십분의 일이 무너졌고, 지진으로 칠천 명이 죽임을 당했다. 살아남은 사람들은 두려워하며 하늘의 하나님께 영광을 돌렸다.
14 The second woe is past. Behold, the third woe comes quickly.The second Woe is past: behold, the third Woe cometh quickly.둘째 화는 지나갔다. 보아라, 셋째 화가 속히 온다.
15 The seventh angel sounded, and great voices in heaven followed, saying, “ The kingdom of the world has become the Kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ. He will reign forever and ever!”And the seventh angel sounded; and there followed great voices in heaven, and they said, The kingdom of the world is become the kingdom of our Lord, and of his Christ: and he shall reign for ever and ever.일곱째 천사가 나팔을 불자, 하늘에서 큰 음성들이 뒤따라 말했다. "세상 나라가 우리 주와 그분의 그리스도의 나라가 되었으니, 그분이 영원무궁토록 다스리실 것이다!"
16 The twenty-four elders, who sit on their thrones before God’s throne, fell on their faces and worshiped God,And the four and twenty elders, who sit before God on their thrones, fell upon their faces and worshipped God,하나님의 보좌 앞에서 자기들의 보좌에 앉아 있던 스물네 장로가 엎드려 얼굴을 땅에 대고 하나님께 경배하며
17 saying: “ We give you thanks, Lord God, the Almighty, the one who is and who was, because you have taken your great power and reigned.saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God, the Almighty, who art and who wast; because thou hast taken thy great power, and didst reign.말했다. "주 하나님, 전능하신 분, 지금도 계시고 전에도 계시던 분이여, 우리가 주께 감사를 드립니다. 주께서 주의 크신 권능을 잡으시고 다스리기 시작하셨기 때문입니다.
18 The nations were angry, and your wrath came, as did the time for the dead to be judged, and to give your bondservants the prophets, their reward, as well as to the saints and those who fear your name, to the small and the great, and to destroy those who destroy the earth.”And the nations were wroth, and thy wrath came, and the time of the dead to be judged, and the time to give their reward to thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and to them that fear thy name, the small and the great; and to destroy them that destroy the earth.이방 민족들이 분노하였으나 주의 진노가 임하였고, 죽은 자들이 심판받을 때가 이르렀습니다. 또한 주의 종 된 선지자들과 성도들과 주의 이름을 경외하는 자들, 곧 작은 자나 큰 자나 그들에게 상을 주실 때이며, 땅을 망하게 하는 자들을 멸하실 때입니다."
19 God’s temple that is in heaven was opened, and the ark of the Lord’s covenant was seen in his temple. Lightnings, sounds, thunders, an earthquake, and great hail followed.And there was opened the temple of God that is in heaven; and there was seen in his temple the ark of his covenant; and there followed lightnings, and voices, and thunders, and an earthquake, and great hail.하늘에 있는 하나님의 성전이 열리고, 그 성전 안에 주의 언약궤가 보였다. 그리고 번개와 음성과 천둥과 지진과 큰 우박이 뒤따랐다.
