5 The third captain of the army for the third month was Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada the chief priest. 6 This is that Benaiah who was the mighty man of the thirty and over the thirty. 23 But David didn’t take the number of them from twenty years old and under, because Yahweh had said he would increase Israel like the stars of the sky.But David took not the number of them from twenty years old and under, because Jehovah had said he would increase Israel like to the stars of heaven.다윗은 스무 살 이하의 사람은 수효에 넣지 않았으니, 이는 여호와께서 이스라엘을 하늘의 별처럼 많아지게 하시겠다고 말씀하셨기 때문이다.
24 Joab the son of Zeruiah began to take a census, but didn’t finish; and wrath came on Israel for this. The number wasn’t put into the account in the chronicles of King David.Joab the son of Zeruiah began to number, but finished not; and there came wrath for this upon Israel; neither was the number put into the account in the chronicles of king David.스루야의 아들 요압이 인구 조사를 시작하였으나 끝내지 못하였고, 이 일로 이스라엘에 진노가 임하였다. 그래서 그 수효는 다윗 왕의 역대 기록에 올리지 않았다.
25 Over the king’s treasures was Azmaveth the son of Adiel. Over the treasures in the fields, in the cities, in the villages, and in the towers was Jonathan the son of Uzziah;And over the king’s treasures was Azmaveth the son of Adiel: and over the treasures in the fields, in the cities, and in the villages, and in the castles, was Jonathan the son of Uzziah:왕의 곳간을 맡은 사람은 아디엘의 아들 아스마웻이었고, 들과 성읍과 마을과 망대에 있는 창고를 맡은 사람은 웃시야의 아들 요나단이었다.
26 Over those who did the work of the field for tillage of the ground was Ezri the son of Chelub.and over them that did the work of the field for tillage of the ground was Ezri the son of Chelub:밭을 갈아 농사짓는 일을 맡은 사람은 글룹의 아들 에스리였다.
27 Over the vineyards was Shimei the Ramathite. Over the increase of the vineyards for the wine cellars was Zabdi the Shiphmite.and over the vineyards was Shimei the Ramathite: and over the increase of the vineyards for the wine-cellars was Zabdi the Shiphmite:포도원을 맡은 사람은 라마 사람 시므이였고, 포도원에서 거둔 소출을 포도주 창고에 들이는 일을 맡은 사람은 십미 사람 삽디였다.
28 Over the olive trees and the sycamore trees that were in the lowland was Baal Hanan the Gederite. Over the cellars of oil was Joash.and over the olive-trees and the sycomore-trees that were in the lowland was Baal-hanan the Gederite: and over the cellars of oil was Joash:평지에 있는 올리브 나무와 뽕나무를 맡은 사람은 게델 사람 바알하난이었고, 기름 창고를 맡은 사람은 요아스였다.
29 Over the herds that fed in Sharon was Shitrai the Sharonite. Over the herds that were in the valleys was Shaphat the son of Adlai.and over the herds that fed in Sharon was Shitrai the Sharonite: and over the herds that were in the valleys was Shaphat the son of Adlai:샤론에서 풀을 뜯는 소 떼를 맡은 사람은 샤론 사람 시드래였고, 골짜기에 있는 소 떼를 맡은 사람은 아들래의 아들 사밧이었다.
30 Over the camels was Obil the Ishmaelite. Over the donkeys was Jehdeiah the Meronothite. Over the flocks was Jaziz the Hagrite.and over the camels was Obil the Ishmaelite: and over the asses was Jehdeiah the Meronothite: and over the flocks was Jaziz the Hagrite.낙타를 맡은 사람은 이스마엘 사람 오빌이었고, 나귀를 맡은 사람은 메로놋 사람 예드야였으며, 양 떼를 맡은 사람은 하갈 사람 야시스였다.
31 All these were the rulers of the property which was King David’s.All these were the rulers of the substance which was king David’s.이들은 모두 다윗 왕의 재산을 관리하는 사람들이었다.
32 Also Jonathan, David’s uncle, was a counselor, a man of understanding, and a scribe. Jehiel the son of Hachmoni was with the king’s sons.Also Jonathan, David’s uncle, was a counsellor, a man of understanding, and a scribe: and Jehiel the son of Hachmoni was with the king’s sons:또 다윗의 삼촌 요나단은 명철한 사람이요 학자로서 모사가 되었고, 하그모니의 아들 여히엘은 왕자들을 돌보았다.
33 Ahithophel was the king’s counselor. Hushai the Archite was the king’s friend.and Ahithophel was the king’s counsellor: and Hushai the Archite was the king’s friend:아히도벨은 왕의 모사였고, 아렉 사람 후새는 왕의 벗이었다.
34 After Ahithophel was Jehoiada the son of Benaiah, and Abiathar. Joab was the captain of the king’s army.and after Ahithophel was Jehoiada the son of Benaiah, and Abiathar: and the captain of the king’s host was Joab.아히도벨의 뒤를 이은 사람은 브나야의 아들 여호야다와 아비아달이었고, 왕의 군대 지휘관은 요압이었다.
