4 David said, “ Of these, twenty-four thousand were to oversee the work of Yahweh’s house, six thousand were officers and judges,Of these, twenty and four thousand were to oversee the work of the house of Jehovah; and six thousand were officers and judges;다윗이 말했다. "이 가운데 이만 사천 명은 여호와의 성전 일을 맡아 감독하게 하고, 육천 명은 관리와 재판관으로 삼겠다.
5 four thousand were doorkeepers, and four thousand praised Yahweh with the instruments which I made for giving praise.”and four thousand were doorkeepers; and four thousand praised Jehovah with the instruments which I made, said David, to praise therewith.사천 명은 문지기로 삼고, 또 사천 명은 내가 찬양하려고 만든 악기로 여호와를 찬양하게 하겠다."
6 David divided them into divisions according to the sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.And David divided them into courses according to the sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.다윗은 레위의 아들들, 곧 게르손과 고핫과 므라리에 따라 그들을 여러 반열로 나누었다.

25 For David said, “ Yahweh, the God of Israel, has given rest to his people; and he dwells in Jerusalem forever.For David said, Jehovah, the God of Israel, hath given rest unto his people; and he dwelleth in Jerusalem for ever:다윗이 말했기 때문이다. "이스라엘의 하나님 여호와께서 자기 백성에게 안식을 주셨고, 또 영원히 예루살렘에 거하신다.
26 Also the Levites will no longer need to carry the tabernacle and all its vessels for its service.”and also the Levites shall no more have need to carry the tabernacle and all the vessels of it for the service thereof.그러니 레위 사람들이 더는 성막과 그 섬기는 데 쓰는 모든 기구를 메고 다닐 필요가 없다."
27 For by the last words of David the sons of Levi were counted, from twenty years old and upward.For by the last words of David the sons of Levi were numbered, from twenty years old and upward.다윗의 마지막 말씀에 따라 레위 자손은 스무 살 이상 된 사람부터 헤아려졌다.
28 For their duty was to wait on the sons of Aaron for the service of Yahweh’s house — in the courts, in the rooms, and in the purifying of all holy things, even the work of the service of God’s house;For their office was to wait on the sons of Aaron for the service of the house of Jehovah, in the courts, and in the chambers, and in the purifying of all holy things, even the work of the service of the house of God;그들의 직무는 아론 자손을 도와 여호와의 성전을 섬기는 것이었으니, 곧 뜰과 골방에서 일하고, 모든 거룩한 것을 정결하게 하며, 하나님의 성전을 섬기는 모든 일을 하는 것이었다.

30 and to stand every morning to thank and praise Yahweh, and likewise in the evening;and to stand every morning to thank and praise Jehovah, and likewise at even;그리고 아침마다 서서 여호와께 감사하며 찬양하고, 저녁에도 그렇게 하였다.
31 and to offer all burnt offerings to Yahweh on the Sabbaths, on the new moons, and on the set feasts, in number according to the ordinance concerning them, continually before Yahweh;and to offer all burnt-offerings unto Jehovah, on the sabbaths, on the new moons, and on the set feasts, in number according to the ordinance concerning them, continually before Jehovah;또 안식일과 초하루와 정한 절기마다 여호와께 모든 번제를 드리되, 그것에 관한 규례에 따른 수효대로 항상 여호와 앞에서 드렸다.
32 and that they should keep the duty of the Tent of Meeting, the duty of the holy place, and the duty of the sons of Aaron their brothers for the service of Yahweh’s house.and that they should keep the charge of the tent of meeting, and the charge of the holy place, and the charge of the sons of Aaron their brethren, for the service of the house of Jehovah.또 그들은 회막의 직무와 성소의 직무와 그 형제인 아론 자손의 직무를 지키며, 여호와의 성전을 섬겨야 했다.
