1 David made himself houses in David’s city; and he prepared a place for God’s ark, and pitched a tent for it.And David made him houses in the city of David; and he prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent.다윗은 다윗 성에 자기 궁을 여러 채 지었고, 하나님의 궤를 둘 자리를 마련하고 그것을 위해 장막을 쳤다.
2 Then David said, “ No one ought to carry God’s ark but the Levites. For Yahweh has chosen them to carry God’s ark, and to minister to him forever.”Then David said, None ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites: for them hath Jehovah chosen to carry the ark of God, and to minister unto him for ever.그때 다윗이 말했다. "레위 사람 외에는 누구도 하나님의 궤를 메어서는 안 된다. 여호와께서 그들을 택하여 하나님의 궤를 메게 하시고 영원히 자신을 섬기게 하셨기 때문이다."
3 David assembled all Israel at Jerusalem, to bring up Yahweh’s ark to its place, which he had prepared for it.And David assembled all Israel at Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of Jehovah unto its place, which he had prepared for it.다윗은 여호와의 궤를 그것을 위해 마련한 자리로 옮겨 오려고 온 이스라엘을 예루살렘에 모았다.
4 David gathered together the sons of Aaron and the Levites:And David gathered together the sons of Aaron, and the Levites:다윗은 아론 자손과 레위 사람들을 함께 모았다.
5 of the sons of Kohath, Uriel the chief, and his brothers one hundred twenty;of the sons of Kohath, Uriel the chief, and his brethren a hundred and twenty;그핫 자손 중에서는 우두머리 우리엘과 그의 형제 백스무 명,
6 of the sons of Merari, Asaiah the chief, and his brothers two hundred twenty;of the sons of Merari, Asaiah the chief, and his brethren two hundred and twenty;므라리 자손 중에서는 우두머리 아사야와 그의 형제 이백스무 명,
7 of the sons of Gershom, Joel the chief, and his brothers one hundred thirty;of the sons of Gershom, Joel the chief, and his brethren a hundred and thirty;게르솜 자손 중에서는 우두머리 요엘과 그의 형제 백서른 명,
8 of the sons of Elizaphan, Shemaiah the chief, and his brothers two hundred;of the sons of Elizaphan, Shemaiah the chief, and his brethren two hundred;엘리사반 자손 중에서는 우두머리 스마야와 그의 형제 이백 명,
9 of the sons of Hebron, Eliel the chief, and his brothers eighty;of the sons of Hebron, Eliel the chief, and his brethren fourscore;헤브론 자손 중에서는 우두머리 엘리엘과 그의 형제 여든 명,
10 of the sons of Uzziel, Amminadab the chief, and his brothers one hundred twelve.of the sons of Uzziel, Amminadab the chief, and his brethren a hundred and twelve.웃시엘 자손 중에서는 우두머리 암미나답과 그의 형제 백열두 명이었다.
11 David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites: for Uriel, Asaiah, Joel, Shemaiah, Eliel, and Amminadab,And David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah, and Joel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab,다윗은 제사장 사독과 아비아달을 부르고, 레위 사람 우리엘과 아사야와 요엘과 스마야와 엘리엘과 암미나답을 불러
12 and said to them, “ You are the heads of the fathers’ households of the Levites. Sanctify yourselves, both you and your brothers, that you may bring the ark of Yahweh, the God of Israel, up to the place that I have prepared for it.and said unto them, Ye are the heads of the fathers’ houses of the Levites: sanctify yourselves, both ye and your brethren, that ye may bring up the ark of Jehovah, the God of Israel, unto the place that I have prepared for it.그들에게 말했다. "너희는 레위 사람 가문의 우두머리들이다. 너희와 너희 형제들은 스스로를 거룩하게 하여, 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와의 궤를 내가 마련한 자리로 메어 올리도록 하라.
13 For because you didn’t carry it at first, Yahweh our God broke out in anger against us, because we didn’t seek him according to the ordinance.”For because ye bare it not at the first, Jehovah our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not according to the ordinance.처음에는 너희가 메지 않았기 때문에, 우리가 규례를 따라 하나님을 찾지 않았으므로 우리 하나님 여호와께서 우리를 치셨다."
14 So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of Yahweh, the God of Israel.So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of Jehovah, the God of Israel.그래서 제사장들과 레위 사람들은 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와의 궤를 메어 올리려고 스스로를 거룩하게 했다.
15 The children of the Levites bore God’s ark on their shoulders with its poles, as Moses commanded according to Yahweh’s word.And the children of the Levites bare the ark of God upon their shoulders with the staves thereon, as Moses commanded according to the word of Jehovah.레위 자손은 모세가 여호와의 말씀을 따라 명령한 대로, 채를 꿴 채 하나님의 궤를 어깨에 메었다.
16 David spoke to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brothers as singers with instruments of music, stringed instruments, harps, and cymbals, sounding aloud and lifting up their voices with joy.And David spake to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren the singers, with instruments of music, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding aloud and lifting up the voice with joy.다윗은 레위 사람의 우두머리들에게 말하여 그들의 형제들을 노래하는 사람으로 세우게 했다. 이들은 악기 곧 비파와 수금과 제금을 들고 소리 높여 기쁘게 노래하게 했다.
17 So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brothers, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari their brothers, Ethan the son of Kushaiah;So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brethren, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan the son of Kushaiah;그리하여 레위 사람들은 요엘의 아들 헤만을 세우고, 그의 형제들 중에서는 베레갸의 아들 아삽을 세우고, 그들의 형제인 므라리 자손 중에서는 구사야의 아들 에단을 세웠다.
18 and with them their brothers of the second rank: Zechariah, Ben, Jaaziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Benaiah, Maaseiah, Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, Mikneiah, Obed-Edom, and Jeiel, the doorkeepers.and with them their brethren of the second degree, Zechariah, Ben, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Eliphelehu, and Mikneiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, the doorkeepers.그리고 그들과 함께 둘째 계열의 형제들 곧 스가랴와 벤과 야아시엘과 스미라못과 여히엘과 운니와 엘리압과 브나야와 마아세야와 맛디디야와 엘리블레후와 믹네야와 문지기 오벧에돔과 여이엘을 세웠다.
19 So the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were given cymbals of bronze to sound aloud;So the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were appointed, with cymbals of brass to sound aloud;노래하는 사람 헤만과 아삽과 에단은 놋제금을 들고 소리 높여 연주하게 했다.
20 and Zechariah, Aziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with stringed instruments set to Alamoth;and Zechariah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with psalteries set to Alamoth;스가랴와 아시엘과 스미라못과 여히엘과 운니와 엘리압과 마아세야와 브나야는 알라못에 맞춘 비파를 연주하게 했다.
21 and Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, Mikneiah, Obed-Edom, Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps tuned to the eight-stringed lyre, to lead.and Mattithiah, and Eliphelehu, and Mikneiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps set to the Sheminith, to lead.맛디디야와 엘리블레후와 믹네야와 오벧에돔과 여이엘과 아사시야는 여덟 줄 수금 스미닛에 맞추어 인도하게 했다.
22 Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, was over the singing. He taught the singers, because he was skillful.And Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, was over the song: he instructed about the song, because he was skilful.레위 사람의 우두머리 그나냐는 노래를 맡았으니, 그가 능숙했으므로 노래에 관해 지도했다.
23 Berechiah and Elkanah were doorkeepers for the ark.And Berechiah and Elkanah were doorkeepers for the ark.베레갸와 엘가나는 궤를 지키는 문지기였다.
24 Shebaniah, Joshaphat, Nethanel, Amasai, Zechariah, Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, blew the trumpets before God’s ark; and Obed-Edom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark.And Shebaniah, and Joshaphat, and Nethanel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, did blow the trumpets before the ark of God; and Obed-edom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark.제사장 스바냐와 요사밧과 느다넬과 아마새와 스가랴와 브나야와 엘리에셀은 하나님의 궤 앞에서 나팔을 불었고, 오벧에돔과 여히야는 궤를 지키는 문지기였다.
25 So David, the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands went to bring the ark of Yahweh’s covenant up out of the house of Obed-Edom with joy.So David, and the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah out of the house of Obed-edom with joy.그리하여 다윗과 이스라엘 장로들과 천부장들은 기뻐하며 오벧에돔의 집에서 여호와의 언약궤를 메어 올리러 갔다.
26 When God helped the Levites who bore the ark of Yahweh’s covenant, they sacrificed seven bulls and seven rams.And it came to pass, when God helped the Levites that bare the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, that they sacrificed seven bullocks and seven rams.하나님께서 여호와의 언약궤를 멘 레위 사람들을 도우셨으므로, 그들은 수송아지 일곱 마리와 숫양 일곱 마리를 제물로 드렸다.
27 David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, as were all the Levites who bore the ark, the singers, and Chenaniah the choir master with the singers; and David had an ephod of linen on him.And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites that bare the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the master of the song with the singers: and David had upon him an ephod of linen.다윗은 고운 모시 겉옷을 입었고, 궤를 멘 모든 레위 사람과 노래하는 사람들과 노래하는 자들과 함께한 노래의 지휘자 그나냐도 그러했으며, 다윗은 모시 에봇을 걸쳤다.
28 Thus all Israel brought the ark of Yahweh’s covenant up with shouting, with sound of the cornet, with trumpets, and with cymbals, sounding aloud with stringed instruments and harps.Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah with shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, sounding aloud with psalteries and harps.이렇게 온 이스라엘은 환호하며, 또 뿔나팔 소리와 나팔과 제금을 울리고 비파와 수금을 소리 높여 연주하며 여호와의 언약궤를 메어 올렸다.
29 As the ark of Yahweh’s covenant came to David’s city, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out at the window, and saw king David dancing and playing; and she despised him in her heart.And it came to pass, as the ark of the covenant of Jehovah came to the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looked out at the window, and saw king David dancing and playing; and she despised him in her heart.여호와의 언약궤가 다윗 성으로 들어올 때에, 사울의 딸 미갈이 창밖을 내다보다가 다윗 왕이 춤추며 뛰노는 것을 보고 마음속으로 그를 업신여겼다.
