1 He arose from there and came into the borders of Judea and beyond the Jordan. Multitudes came together to him again. As he usually did, he was again teaching them.And he arose from thence, and cometh into the borders of Judæa and beyond the Jordan: and multitudes come together unto him again; and, as he was wont, he taught them again.예수께서 그곳을 떠나 유대 지방과 요단 강 건너편으로 가셨다. 무리가 다시 그분께 모여들었고, 그분은 늘 하시던 대로 다시 그들을 가르치셨다.
2 Pharisees came to him testing him, and asked him, “ Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?”And there came unto him Pharisees, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? trying him.바리새 사람들이 그분을 시험하려고 와서 물었다. "남자가 자기 아내를 버리는 것이 율법에 맞습니까?"
3 He answered, “ What did Moses command you?”And he answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?그분이 대답하셨다. "모세가 너희에게 무엇이라고 명령했느냐?"
4 They said, “ Moses allowed a certificate of divorce to be written, and to divorce her.”And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.그들이 말했다. "모세는 이혼 증서를 써 주고 아내를 버리는 것을 허락했습니다."
5 But Jesus said to them, “ For your hardness of heart, he wrote you this commandment.But Jesus said unto them, For your hardness of heart he wrote you this commandment.그러나 예수께서 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "너희 마음이 완악하므로 모세가 너희에게 이 계명을 써 준 것이다.
6 But from the beginning of the creation, God made them male and female.But from the beginning of the creation, Male and female made he them.그러나 창조 때부터 하나님은 그들을 남자와 여자로 지으셨다.
7 For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will join to his wife,For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife;이런 까닭에 남자는 자기 아버지와 어머니를 떠나 자기 아내와 합하여,
8 and the two will become one flesh, so that they are no longer two, but one flesh.and the two shall become one flesh: so that they are no more two, but one flesh.그 둘이 한 몸을 이룰 것이다. 그러므로 이제 그들은 둘이 아니라 한 몸이다.
9 What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.”What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.그러므로 하나님이 짝지어 주신 것을 사람이 나누지 못한다."
10 In the house, his disciples asked him again about the same matter.And in the house the disciples asked him again of this matter.집 안에서 제자들이 같은 일에 대해 그분께 다시 물었다.
11 He said to them, “ Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her.And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her:그분이 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "누구든지 자기 아내를 버리고 다른 여자와 결혼하면 그 아내를 거슬러 간음하는 것이다.
12 If a woman herself divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery.”and if she herself shall put away her husband, and marry another, she committeth adultery.또 여자가 자기 남편을 버리고 다른 남자와 결혼해도 간음하는 것이다."
13 They were bringing to him little children, that he should touch them, but the disciples rebuked those who were bringing them.And they were bringing unto him little children, that he should touch them: and the disciples rebuked them.사람들이 예수께서 만져 주시기를 바라며 어린아이들을 그분께 데려왔으나, 제자들은 데려오는 이들을 꾸짖었다.
14 But when Jesus saw it, he was moved with indignation and said to them, “Allow the little children to come to me! Don’ t forbid them, for God’s Kingdom belongs to such as these.But when Jesus saw it, he was moved with indignation, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me; forbid them not: for to such belongeth the kingdom of God.그러나 예수께서 그것을 보시고 노하시며 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "어린아이들이 내게 오는 것을 막지 말고 그냥 두어라. 하나님 나라가 바로 이런 이들의 것이다.
15 Most certainly I tell you, whoever will not receive God’s Kingdom like a little child, he will in no way enter into it.”Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall in no wise enter therein.내가 진정으로 너희에게 말한다. 누구든지 어린아이처럼 하나님 나라를 받아들이지 않으면 결코 그 나라에 들어가지 못할 것이다."
16 He took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them.And he took them in his arms, and blessed them, laying his hands upon them.그리고 예수께서 그들을 품에 안으시고, 그들 위에 손을 얹어 복을 주셨다.
17 As he was going out into the way, one ran to him, knelt before him, and asked him, “ Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?”And as he was going forth into the way, there ran one to him, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?예수께서 길을 떠나 나가실 때에 한 사람이 달려와 그분 앞에 무릎을 꿇고 물었다. "선한 선생님, 제가 영원한 생명을 얻으려면 무엇을 해야 합니까?"
18 Jesus said to him, “ Why do you call me good? No one is good except one — God.And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good save one, even God.예수께서 그에게 말씀하셨다. "어찌하여 나를 선하다 하느냐? 하나님 한 분 외에는 선한 이가 없다.
19 You know the commandments: ‘ Do not murder,’ ‘ Do not commit adultery,’ ‘ Do not steal,’ ‘ Do not give false testimony,’ ‘ Do not defraud,’ ‘ Honor your father and mother.’”Thou knowest the commandments, Do not kill, Do not commit adultery, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Do not defraud, Honor thy father and mother.너는 계명들을 알고 있다. '살인하지 말라', '간음하지 말라', '도둑질하지 말라', '거짓 증언하지 말라', '속여 빼앗지 말라', '네 아버지와 어머니를 공경하라.'"
20 He said to him, “ Teacher, I have observed all these things from my youth.”And he said unto him, Teacher, all these things have I observed from my youth.그가 그분께 말했다. "선생님, 저는 이 모든 것을 어릴 때부터 다 지켜 왔습니다."
21 Jesus looking at him loved him, and said to him, “ One thing you lack. Go, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me, taking up the cross.”And Jesus looking upon him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.예수께서 그를 바라보시며 사랑하시고 그에게 말씀하셨다. "네게 한 가지가 부족하다. 가서 네가 가진 것을 다 팔아 가난한 사람들에게 주어라. 그러면 네가 하늘에서 보물을 갖게 될 것이다. 그리고 와서 십자가를 지고 나를 따르라."
22 But his face fell at that saying, and he went away sorrowful, for he was one who had great possessions.But his countenance fell at the saying, and he went away sorrowful: for he was one that had great possessions.그러나 그는 이 말씀에 얼굴이 어두워져 근심하며 떠나갔다. 그는 많은 재산을 가진 사람이었기 때문이다.
23 Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “ How difficult it is for those who have riches to enter into God’ s Kingdom!”And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!예수께서 둘러보시며 제자들에게 말씀하셨다. "재물을 가진 사람들이 하나님 나라에 들어가기가 얼마나 어려운가!"
24 The disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus answered again, “ Children, how hard it is for those who trust in riches to enter into God’s Kingdom!And the disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!제자들이 그분의 말씀에 놀랐다. 그러나 예수께서 다시 대답하셨다. "얘들아, 재물을 의지하는 사람들이 하나님 나라에 들어가기가 얼마나 어려운지!
25 It is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye than for a rich man to enter into God’s Kingdom.”It is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.부자가 하나님 나라에 들어가는 것보다 낙타가 바늘귀로 들어가는 것이 더 쉽다."
26 They were exceedingly astonished, saying to him, “ Then who can be saved?”And they were astonished exceedingly, saying unto him, Then who can be saved?그들이 몹시 놀라 그분께 말했다. "그러면 누가 구원을 받을 수 있습니까?"
27 Jesus, looking at them, said, “ With men it is impossible, but not with God, for all things are possible with God.”Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for all things are possible with God.예수께서 그들을 바라보시며 말씀하셨다. "사람으로는 할 수 없으나 하나님으로는 그렇지 않다. 하나님께는 모든 것이 가능하기 때문이다."
28 Peter began to tell him, “ Behold, we have left all and have followed you.”Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee.베드로가 그분께 말하기 시작했다. "보십시오, 저희는 모든 것을 버리고 주님을 따랐습니다."
29 Jesus said, “Most certainly I tell you, there is no one who has left house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or land, for my sake, and for the sake of the Good News,Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or mother, or father, or children, or lands, for my sake, and for the gospel’s sake,예수께서 말씀하셨다. "내가 진정으로 너희에게 말한다. 나를 위해, 또 복음을 위해 집이나 형제나 자매나 아버지나 어머니나 아내나 자녀나 토지를 버린 사람은,
30 but he will receive one hundred times more now in this time: houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and land, with persecutions; and in the age to come eternal life.but he shall receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.지금 이 세상에서 핍박과 함께 집과 형제와 자매와 어머니와 자녀와 토지를 백 배로 받고, 오는 세상에서는 영원한 생명을 받지 못할 자가 없다.
31 But many who are first will be last, and the last first.”But many that are first shall be last; and the last first.그러나 먼저 된 사람이 나중 되고, 나중 된 사람이 먼저 될 것이다."
32 They were on the way, going up to Jerusalem; and Jesus was going in front of them, and they were amazed; and those who followed were afraid. He again took the twelve, and began to tell them the things that were going to happen to him.And they were on the way, going up to Jerusalem; and Jesus was going before them: and they were amazed; and they that followed were afraid. And he took again the twelve, and began to tell them the things that were to happen unto him,그들은 예루살렘으로 올라가는 길에 있었고, 예수께서 그들 앞에서 가고 계셨다. 그들은 놀랐고, 따르는 사람들은 두려워했다. 예수께서 다시 열두 제자를 데리고 자기에게 일어날 일들을 그들에게 말씀하기 시작하셨다.
33 “ Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem. The Son of Man will be delivered to the chief priests and the scribes. They will condemn him to death, and will deliver him to the Gentiles.saying, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be delivered unto the chief priests and the scribes; and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him unto the Gentiles:"보아라, 우리가 예루살렘으로 올라가고 있다. 인자가 대제사장들과 율법학자들에게 넘겨질 것이다. 그들은 인자를 사형에 처하기로 정하고 이방 사람들에게 넘겨줄 것이다.
34 They will mock him, spit on him, scourge him, and kill him. On the third day he will rise again.”and they shall mock him, and shall spit upon him, and shall scourge him, and shall kill him; and after three days he shall rise again.그들은 인자를 조롱하고 침을 뱉으며 채찍질하고 죽일 것이다. 그러나 인자는 사흘째 되는 날에 다시 살아날 것이다."
35 James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came near to him, saying, “ Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we will ask.”And there come near unto him James and John, the sons of Zebedee, saying unto him, Teacher, we would that thou shouldest do for us whatsoever we shall ask of thee.세베대의 아들 야고보와 요한이 그분께 다가와 말했다. "선생님, 저희가 구하는 것은 무엇이든 저희에게 해 주시기를 바랍니다."
36 He said to them, “ What do you want me to do for you?”And he said unto them, What would ye that I should do for you?그분이 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "내가 너희에게 무엇을 해 주기를 바라느냐?"
37 They said to him, “ Grant to us that we may sit, one at your right hand and one at your left hand, in your glory.”And they said unto him, Grant unto us that we may sit, one on thy right hand, and one on thy left hand, in thy glory.그들이 그분께 말했다. "주님의 영광 중에 저희가 하나는 주님의 오른쪽에, 하나는 왼쪽에 앉게 해 주십시오."
38 But Jesus said to them, “ You don’ t know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?”But Jesus said unto them, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink the cup that I drink? or to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?그러나 예수께서 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "너희는 너희가 구하는 것이 무엇인지 알지 못한다. 너희가 내가 마시는 잔을 마시며, 내가 받는 세례를 받을 수 있느냐?"
39 They said to him, “ We are able.” Jesus said to them, “ You shall indeed drink the cup that I drink, and you shall be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with;And they said unto him, We are able. And Jesus said unto them, The cup that I drink ye shall drink; and with the baptism that I am baptized withal shall ye be baptized:그들이 그분께 말했다. "할 수 있습니다." 예수께서 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "너희는 분명히 내가 마시는 잔을 마실 것이고, 내가 받는 세례를 받을 것이다.
40 but to sit at my right hand and at my left hand is not mine to give, but for whom it has been prepared.”but to sit on my right hand or on my left hand is not mine to give; but it is for them for whom it hath been prepared.그러나 내 오른쪽과 왼쪽에 앉는 것은 내가 줄 수 있는 것이 아니라, 그것이 준비된 사람들을 위한 것이다."
41 When the ten heard it, they began to be indignant toward James and John.And when the ten heard it, they began to be moved with indignation concerning James and John.열 제자가 이 말을 듣고 야고보와 요한에 대해 분개하기 시작했다.
42 Jesus summoned them and said to them, “ You know that they who are recognized as rulers over the nations lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them.And Jesus called them to him, and saith unto them, Ye know that they who are accounted to rule over the Gentiles lord it over them; and their great ones exercise authority over them.예수께서 그들을 불러 모으시고 말씀하셨다. "너희가 알다시피 이방 사람들을 다스리는 자로 인정받는 이들은 그들 위에 군림하고, 그들의 높은 사람들은 그들에게 권세를 부린다.
43 But it shall not be so among you, but whoever wants to become great among you shall be your servant.But it is not so among you: but whosoever would become great among you, shall be your minister;그러나 너희 가운데서는 그래서는 안 된다. 누구든지 너희 가운데서 크게 되고자 하는 사람은 너희를 섬기는 종이 되어야 하고,
44 Whoever of you wants to become first among you shall be bondservant of all.and whosoever would be first among you, shall be servant of all.누구든지 너희 가운데서 으뜸이 되고자 하는 사람은 모든 사람의 종이 되어야 한다.
45 For the Son of Man also came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”For the Son of man also came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.인자도 섬김을 받으러 온 것이 아니라 섬기러 왔고, 또 많은 사람의 대속물로 자기 목숨을 주러 왔기 때문이다."
46 They came to Jericho. As he went out from Jericho with his disciples and a great multitude, the son of Timaeus, Bartimaeus, a blind beggar, was sitting by the road.And they come to Jericho: and as he went out from Jericho, with his disciples and a great multitude, the son of Timæus, Bartimæus, a blind beggar, was sitting by the way side.그들이 여리고에 이르렀다. 예수께서 제자들과 큰 무리와 함께 여리고에서 나가실 때에, 디매오의 아들인 눈먼 거지 바디매오가 길가에 앉아 있었다.
47 When he heard that it was Jesus the Nazarene, he began to cry out and say, “ Jesus, you son of David, have mercy on me!”And when he heard that it was Jesus the Nazarene, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.그가 나사렛 사람 예수라는 말을 듣고 외치기 시작했다. "다윗의 자손 예수님, 저를 불쌍히 여겨 주십시오!"
48 Many rebuked him, that he should be quiet, but he cried out much more, “ You son of David, have mercy on me!”And many rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried out the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.많은 사람이 그를 조용히 하라고 꾸짖었으나, 그는 더욱 크게 외쳤다. "다윗의 자손이여, 저를 불쌍히 여겨 주십시오!"
49 Jesus stood still and said, “ Call him.” They called the blind man, saying to him, “Cheer up! Get up. He is calling you!”And Jesus stood still, and said, Call ye him. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good cheer: rise, he calleth thee.예수께서 멈춰 서서 말씀하셨다. "그를 불러오너라." 그들이 눈먼 사람을 부르며 그에게 말했다. "힘을 내라! 일어나라. 그분이 너를 부르신다!"
50 He, casting away his cloak, sprang up, and came to Jesus.And he, casting away his garment, sprang up, and came to Jesus.그는 겉옷을 벗어 던지고 벌떡 일어나 예수께로 왔다.
51 Jesus asked him, “ What do you want me to do for you?” The blind man said to him, “ Rabboni, that I may see again.”And Jesus answered him, and said, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? And the blind man said unto him, Rabboni, that I may receive my sight.예수께서 그에게 물으셨다. "내가 너에게 무엇을 해 주기를 바라느냐?" 눈먼 사람이 그분께 말했다. "선생님, 제가 다시 보게 해 주십시오."
52 Jesus said to him, “ Go your way. Your faith has made you well.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the way.And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And straightway he received his sight, and followed him in the way.예수께서 그에게 말씀하셨다. "가거라. 네 믿음이 너를 낫게 했다." 그러자 그는 즉시 시력을 되찾고 길에서 예수를 따라갔다.
