They came to the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes. And they came to the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gerasenes.
When he had come out of the boat, immediately a man with an unclean spirit met him out of the tombs. And when he was come out of the boat, straightway there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,예수께서 배에서 내리시자 곧, 더러운 영에 사로잡힌 한 사람이 무덤에서 나와 그분을 맞았다.
He lived in the tombs. Nobody could bind him any more, not even with chains, who had his dwelling in the tombs: and no man could any more bind him, no, not with a chain;그 사람은 무덤 사이에서 살고 있었는데, 이제는 아무도 그를 묶어 둘 수 없었고, 쇠사슬로도 어쩌지 못했다.
because he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been torn apart by him, and the fetters broken in pieces. Nobody had the strength to tame him.because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been rent asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: and no man had strength to tame him.
Always, night and day, in the tombs and in the mountains, he was crying out, and cutting himself with stones. And always, night and day, in the tombs and in the mountains, he was crying out, and cutting himself with stones.
When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and bowed down to him,And when he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshipped him;그가 멀리서 예수를 보고는 달려와 그분 앞에 엎드려 절하며,
and crying out with a loud voice, he said, “ What have I to do with you, Jesus, you Son of the Most High God? I adjure you by God, don’ t torment me.”and crying out with a loud voice, he saith, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the Most High God? I adjure thee by God, torment me not.
For he said to him, “ Come out of the man, you unclean spirit!”For he said unto him, Come forth, thou unclean spirit, out of the man.
He asked him, “ What is your name?” He said to him, “ My name is Legion, for we are many.”And he asked him, What is thy name? And he saith unto him, My name is Legion; for we are many.
He begged him much that he would not send them away out of the country. And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.
Now on the mountainside there was a great herd of pigs feeding. Now there was there on the mountain side a great herd of swine feeding.
All the demons begged him, saying, “ Send us into the pigs, that we may enter into them.”And they besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.
At once Jesus gave them permission. The unclean spirits came out and entered into the pigs. The herd of about two thousand rushed down the steep bank into the sea, and they were drowned in the sea.And he gave them leave. And the unclean spirits came out, and entered into the swine: and the herd rushed down the steep into the sea, in number about two thousand; and they were drowned in the sea.
Those who fed the pigs fled, and told it in the city and in the country. The people came to see what it was that had happened. And they that fed them fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they came to see what it was that had come to pass.
They came to Jesus, and saw him who had been possessed by demons sitting, clothed, and in his right mind, even him who had the legion; and they were afraid. And they come to Jesus, and behold him that was possessed with demons sitting, clothed and in his right mind, even him that had the legion: and they were afraid.
Those who saw it declared to them what happened to him who was possessed by demons, and about the pigs. And they that saw it declared unto them how it befell him that was possessed with demons, and concerning the swine.
They began to beg him to depart from their region. And they began to beseech him to depart from their borders.
As he was entering into the boat, he who had been possessed by demons begged him that he might be with him.And as he was entering into the boat, he that had been possessed with demons besought him that he might be with him.
He didn’ t allow him, but said to him, “ Go to your house, to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you and how he had mercy on you.”And he suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go to thy house unto thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and how he had mercy on thee.
He went his way, and began to proclaim in Decapolis how Jesus had done great things for him, and everyone marveled. And he went his way, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men marvelled.
When Jesus had crossed back over in the boat to the other side, a great multitude was gathered to him; and he was by the sea.And when Jesus had crossed over again in the boat unto the other side, a great multitude was gathered unto him; and he was by the sea.
Behold, one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name, came; and seeing him, he fell at his feetAnd there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jaïrus by name; and seeing him, he falleth at his feet,보라, 회당장 가운데 야이로라는 사람이 와서 예수를 보고 그 발 앞에 엎드려,
and begged him much, saying, “ My little daughter is at the point of death. Please come and lay your hands on her, that she may be made healthy, and live.”and beseecheth him much, saying, My little daughter is at the point of death: I pray thee, that thou come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be made whole, and live.
He went with him, and a great multitude followed him, and they pressed upon him on all sides. And he went with him; and a great multitude followed him, and they thronged him.
A certain woman who had a discharge of blood for twelve years,And a woman, who had an issue of blood twelve years,그런데 열두 해 동안 혈루증을 앓던 한 여자가 있었다.
and had suffered many things by many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was no better, but rather grew worse, and had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,그 여자는 많은 의사에게 시달리며 가진 것을 다 써 버렸으나, 아무 효험도 없이 도리어 더 나빠지기만 했다.
having heard the things concerning Jesus, came up behind him in the crowd and touched his clothes.having heard the things concerning Jesus, came in the crowd behind, and touched his garment.
For she said, “ If I just touch his clothes, I will be made well.”For she said, If I touch but his garments, I shall be made whole."
Immediately the flow of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of her affliction. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of her plague.
Immediately Jesus, perceiving in himself that the power had gone out from him, turned around in the crowd and asked, “ Who touched my clothes?”And straightway Jesus, perceiving in himself that the power proceeding from him had gone forth, turned him about in the crowd, and said, Who touched my garments?
His disciples said to him, “ You see the multitude pressing against you, and you say, ‘ Who touched me?’”And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
He looked around to see her who had done this thing. And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.
But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had been done to her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what had been done to her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
He said to her, “ Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be cured of your disease.”And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
While he was still speaking, people came from the synagogue ruler’s house, saying, “ Your daughter is dead. Why bother the Teacher any more?”While he yet spake, they come from the ruler of the synagogue’s house, saying, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Teacher any further?
But Jesus, when he heard the message spoken, immediately said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Don’ t be afraid, only believe.”But Jesus, not heeding the word spoken, saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Fear not, only believe.
He allowed no one to follow him except Peter, James, and John the brother of James. And he suffered no man to follow with him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.
He came to the synagogue ruler’s house, and he saw an uproar, weeping, and great wailing. And they come to the house of the ruler of the synagogue; and he beholdeth a tumult, and many weeping and wailing greatly.
When he had entered in, he said to them, “ Why do you make an uproar and weep? The child is not dead, but is asleep.”And when he was entered in, he saith unto them, Why make ye a tumult, and weep? the child is not dead, but sleepeth.
They ridiculed him. But he, having put them all out, took the father of the child, her mother, and those who were with him, and went in where the child was lying. And they laughed him to scorn. But he, having put them all forth, taketh the father of the child and her mother and them that were with him, and goeth in where the child was.
Taking the child by the hand, he said to her, “ Talitha cumi!” which means, being interpreted, “ Girl, I tell you, get up!”And taking the child by the hand, he saith unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, Arise.
Immediately the girl rose up and walked, for she was twelve years old. They were amazed with great amazement. And straightway the damsel rose up, and walked; for she was twelve years old. And they were amazed straightway with a great amazement.
He strictly ordered them that no one should know this, and commanded that something should be given to her to eat.And he charged them much that no man should know this: and he commanded that something should be given her to eat.
