He began to speak to them in parables. “ A man planted a vineyard, put a hedge around it, dug a pit for the wine press, built a tower, rented it out to a farmer, and went into another country. And he began to speak unto them in parables. A man planted a vineyard, and set a hedge about it, and digged a pit for the winepress, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into another country.
When it was time, he sent a servant to the farmer to get from the farmer his share of the fruit of the vineyard. And at the season he sent to the husbandmen a servant, that he might receive from the husbandmen of the fruits of the vineyard.
They took him, beat him, and sent him away empty. And they took him, and beat him, and sent him away empty.
Again, he sent another servant to them; and they threw stones at him, wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully treated. And again he sent unto them another servant; and him they wounded in the head, and handled shamefully.
Again he sent another, and they killed him, and many others, beating some, and killing some. And he sent another; and him they killed: and many others; beating some, and killing some.
Therefore still having one, his beloved son, he sent him last to them, saying, ‘ They will respect my son.’He had yet one, a beloved son: he sent him last unto them, saying, They will reverence my son.
But those farmers said among themselves, ‘ This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be ours.
They took him, killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard. And they took him, and killed him, and cast him forth out of the vineyard.
What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy the farmers, and will give the vineyard to others. What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do? he will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto others.
Haven’ t you even read this Scripture: ‘ The stone which the builders rejected was made the head of the corner.Have ye not read even this scripture: The stone which the builders rejected, The same was made the head of the corner;너희는 이 성경 말씀도 읽어 보지 못하였느냐?
This was from the Lord. It is marvelous in our eyes’?”This was from the Lord, And it is marvellous in our eyes?
They tried to seize him, but they feared the multitude; for they perceived that he spoke the parable against them. They left him and went away. And they sought to lay hold on him; and they feared the multitude; for they perceived that he spake the parable against them: and they left him, and went away.
They sent some of the Pharisees and the Herodians to him, that they might trap him with words. And they send unto him certain of the Pharisees and of the Herodians, that they might catch him in talk.
When they had come, they asked him, “ Teacher, we know that you are honest, and don’ t defer to anyone; for you aren’ t partial to anyone, but truly teach the way of God. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?And when they were come, they say unto him, Teacher, we know that thou art true, and carest not for any one; for thou regardest not the person of men, but of a truth teachest the way of God: Is it lawful to give tribute unto Cæsar, or not?
Shall we give, or shall we not give?” But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said to them, “ Why do you test me? Bring me a denarius, that I may see it.”Shall we give, or shall we not give? But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said unto them, Why make ye trial of me? bring me a denarius, that I may see it.
They brought it. He said to them, “ Whose is this image and inscription?” They said to him, “ Caesar’s.”And they brought it. And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? And they said unto him, Cæsar’s.
Jesus answered them, “ Give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” They marveled greatly at him.And Jesus said unto them, Render unto Cæsar the things that are Cæsar’s, and unto God the things that are God’s. And they marvelled greatly at him.
Some Sadducees, who say that there is no resurrection, came to him. They asked him, saying,And there come unto him Sadducees, who say that there is no resurrection; and they asked him, saying,부활이 없다고 말하는 사두개 사람들이 예수께 와서 물었다.
“ Teacher, Moses wrote to us, ‘ If a man’s brother dies and leaves a wife behind him, and leaves no children, that his brother should take his wife and raise up offspring for his brother.’Teacher, Moses wrote unto us, If a man’s brother die, and leave a wife behind him, and leave no child, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother."
There were seven brothers. The first took a wife, and dying left no offspring. There were seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and dying left no seed;
The second took her, and died, leaving no children behind him. The third likewise;and the second took her, and died, leaving no seed behind him; and the third likewise:둘째가 그 여자를 맞이하였으나 그도 자식을 남기지 못하고 죽었으며, 셋째도 그러하였습니다.
and the seven took her and left no children. Last of all the woman also died.and the seven left no seed. Last of all the woman also died.
In the resurrection, when they rise, whose wife will she be of them? For the seven had her as a wife.”In the resurrection whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife.
Jesus answered them, “Isn’ t this because you are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God?Jesus said unto them, Is it not for this cause that ye err, that ye know not the scriptures, nor the power of God?
For when they will rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven. For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as angels in heaven.
But about the dead, that they are raised, haven’ t you read in the book of Moses about the Bush, how God spoke to him, saying, ‘ I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’?But as touching the dead, that they are raised; have ye not read in the book of Moses, in the place concerning the Bush, how God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?
He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. You are therefore badly mistaken.”He is not the God of the dead, but of the living: ye do greatly err.
One of the scribes came and heard them questioning together, and knowing that he had answered them well, asked him, “ Which commandment is the greatest of all?”And one of the scribes came, and heard them questioning together, and knowing that he had answered them well, asked him, What commandment is the first of all?
Jesus answered, “ The greatest is: ‘Hear, Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.Jesus answered, The first is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God, the Lord is one:예수께서 대답하셨다.
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength.
The second is like this: ‘ You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”The second is this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
The scribe said to him, “ Truly, teacher, you have said well that he is one, and there is none other but he;And the scribe said unto him, Of a truth, Teacher, thou hast well said that he is one; and there is none other but he:그 율법학자가 예수께 말했다.
and to love him with all the heart, with all the understanding, all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbor as himself, is more important than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.”and to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbor as himself, is much more than all whole burnt-offerings and sacrifices.
When Jesus saw that he answered wisely, he said to him, “ You are not far from God’s Kingdom.” No one dared ask him any question after that. And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.
Jesus responded, as he taught in the temple, “ How is it that the scribes say that the Christ is the son of David? And Jesus answered and said, as he taught in the temple, How say the scribes that the Christ is the son of David?
For David himself said in the Holy Spirit, ‘ The Lord said to my Lord, “ Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies the footstool of your feet.”’David himself said in the Holy Spirit, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, Till I make thine enemies the footstool of thy feet.
Therefore David himself calls him Lord, so how can he be his son?” The common people heard him gladly.David himself calleth him Lord; and whence is he his son? And the common people heard him gladly.
In his teaching he said to them, “Beware of the scribes, who like to walk in long robes, and to get greetings in the marketplaces,And in his teaching he said, Beware of the scribes, who desire to walk in long robes, and to have salutations in the marketplaces,예수께서 가르치시며 그들에게 말씀하셨다.
and to get the best seats in the synagogues and the best places at feasts, and chief seats in the synagogues, and chief places at feasts:회당에서는 높은 자리, 잔치에서는 윗자리를 좋아한다.
those who devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. These will receive greater condemnation.”they that devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayers; these shall receive greater condemnation.
Jesus sat down opposite the treasury and saw how the multitude cast money into the treasury. Many who were rich cast in much. And he sat down over against the treasury, and beheld how the multitude cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.
A poor widow came and she cast in two small brass coins, which equal a quadrans coin. And there came a poor widow, and she cast in two mites, which make a farthing.
He called his disciples to himself and said to them, “ Most certainly I tell you, this poor widow gave more than all those who are giving into the treasury,And he called unto him his disciples, and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, This poor widow cast in more than all they that are casting into the treasury:예수께서 제자들을 가까이 부르시고 말씀하셨다.
for they all gave out of their abundance, but she, out of her poverty, gave all that she had to live on.”for they all did cast in of their superfluity; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.
