Now when morning had come, all the chief priests and the elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death. Now when morning was come, all the chief priests and the elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:아침이 되자 모든 대제사장들과 백성의 장로들이 예수를 죽이려고 함께 모의하였다.
They bound him, led him away, and delivered him up to Pontius Pilate, the governor.and they bound him, and led him away, and delivered him up to Pilate the governor.
Then Judas, who betrayed him, when he saw that Jesus was condemned, felt remorse, and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,Then Judas, who betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,그때에 예수를 팔아넘긴 유다가 예수께서 정죄받으신 것을 보고 뉘우쳐서, 은화 서른 닢을 대제사장들과 장로들에게 도로 가져다주며
saying, “ I have sinned in that I betrayed innocent blood.” But they said, “ What is that to us? You see to it.”saying, I have sinned in that I betrayed innocent blood. But they said, What is that to us? see thou to it.
He threw down the pieces of silver in the sanctuary and departed. Then he went away and hanged himself. And he cast down the pieces of silver into the sanctuary, and departed; and he went away and hanged himself.
The chief priests took the pieces of silver and said, “ It’s not lawful to put them into the treasury, since it is the price of blood.”And the chief priests took the pieces of silver, and said, It is not lawful to put them into the treasury, since it is the price of blood.
They took counsel, and bought the potter’s field with them to bury strangers in.And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter’s field, to bury strangers in.
Therefore that field has been called “ The Field of Blood” to this day.Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day.
Then that which was spoken through Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled, saying, “ They took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him upon whom a price had been set, whom some of the children of Israel priced,Then was fulfilled that which was spoken through Jeremiah the prophet, saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was priced, whom certain of the children of Israel did price;이로써 선지자 예레미야를 통하여 하신 말씀이 이루어졌으니, "그들은 은화 서른 닢, 곧 값이 매겨진 분의 값, 이스라엘 자손 가운데 어떤 이들이 매긴 그 값을 받아
and they gave them for the potter’ s field, as the Lord commanded me.”and they gave them for the potter’ s field, as the Lord appointed me.
Now Jesus stood before the governor; and the governor asked him, saying, “ Are you the King of the Jews?” Jesus said to him, “ So you say.”Now Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest.
When he was accused by the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing. And when he was accused by the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing.
Then Pilate said to him, “Don’ t you hear how many things they testify against you?”Then saith Pilate unto him, Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee?
He gave him no answer, not even one word, so that the governor marveled greatly. And he gave him no answer, not even to one word: insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly.
Now at the feast the governor was accustomed to release to the multitude one prisoner whom they desired. Now at the feast the governor was wont to release unto the multitude one prisoner, whom they would.
They had then a notable prisoner called Barabbas. And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas.
When therefore they were gathered together, Pilate said to them, “ Whom do you want me to release to you? Barabbas, or Jesus who is called Christ?”When therefore they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus who is called Christ?
For he knew that because of envy they had delivered him up.For he knew that for envy they had delivered him up.
While he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent to him, saying, “ Have nothing to do with that righteous man, for I have suffered many things today in a dream because of him.”And while he was sitting on the judgment-seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that righteous man; for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.
Now the chief priests and the elders persuaded the multitudes to ask for Barabbas and destroy Jesus. Now the chief priests and the elders persuaded the multitudes that they should ask for Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.
But the governor answered them, “ Which of the two do you want me to release to you?” They said, “Barabbas!”But the governor answered and said unto them, Which of the two will ye that I release unto you? And they said, Barabbas.
Pilate said to them, “ What then shall I do to Jesus who is called Christ?” They all said to him, “ Let him be crucified!”Pilate saith unto them, What then shall I do unto Jesus who is called Christ? They all say, Let him be crucified.
But the governor said, “ Why? What evil has he done?” But they cried out exceedingly, saying, “ Let him be crucified!”And he said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out exceedingly, saying, Let him be crucified.
So when Pilate saw that nothing was being gained, but rather that a disturbance was starting, he took water and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, “ I am innocent of the blood of this righteous person. You see to it.”So when Pilate saw that he prevailed nothing, but rather that a tumult was arising, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this righteous man; see ye to it.
All the people answered, “ May his blood be on us and on our children!”And all the people answered and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.
Then he released Barabbas to them, but Jesus he flogged and delivered to be crucified. Then released he unto them Barabbas; but Jesus he scourged and delivered to be crucified.
Then the governor’s soldiers took Jesus into the Praetorium, and gathered the whole garrison together against him. Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the Prætorium, and gathered unto him the whole band.
They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him.And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.
They braided a crown of thorns and put it on his head, and a reed in his right hand; and they kneeled down before him and mocked him, saying, “ Hail, King of the Jews!”And they platted a crown of thorns and put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand; and they kneeled down before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!
They spat on him, and took the reed and struck him on the head. And they spat upon him, and took the reed and smote him on the head.
When they had mocked him, they took the robe off him, and put his clothes on him, and led him away to crucify him.And when they had mocked him, they took off from him the robe, and put on him his garments, and led him away to crucify him.
As they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name, and they compelled him to go with them, that he might carry his cross. And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to go with them, that he might bear his cross.
When they came to a place called “ Golgotha”, that is to say, “ The place of a skull,”And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, The place of a skull,그들은 "골고다"라 하는 곳, 곧 "해골의 곳"이라는 데에 이르렀다.
they gave him sour wine to drink mixed with gall. When he had tasted it, he would not drink.they gave him wine to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted it, he would not drink.
When they had crucified him, they divided his clothing among them, casting lots,And when they had crucified him, they parted his garments among them, casting lots;그들은 예수를 십자가에 못 박은 뒤에, 제비를 뽑아 그의 옷을 나누어 가졌다.
and they sat and watched him there.and they sat and watched him there.
They set up over his head the accusation against him written, “ THIS IS JESUS, THE KING OF THE JEWS.”And they set up over his head his accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
Then there were two robbers crucified with him, one on his right hand and one on the left. Then are there crucified with him two robbers, one on the right hand and one on the left.
Those who passed by blasphemed him, wagging their headsAnd they that passed by railed on him, wagging their heads,
and saying, “ You who destroy the temple and build it in three days, save yourself! If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross!”and saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself: if thou art the Son of God, come down from the cross.
Likewise the chief priests also mocking with the scribes, the Pharisees, and the elders, said,In like manner also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said,마찬가지로 대제사장들도 서기관들과 바리새인들과 장로들과 함께 조롱하며 말하기를
“ He saved others, but he can’ t save himself. If he is the King of Israel, let him come down from the cross now, and we will believe in him.He saved others; himself he cannot save. He is the King of Israel; let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe on him."
He trusts in God. Let God deliver him now, if he wants him; for he said, ‘ I am the Son of God.’”He trusteth on God; let him deliver him now, if he desireth him: for he said, I am the Son of God.
The robbers also who were crucified with him cast on him the same reproach. And the robbers also that were crucified with him cast upon him the same reproach.
Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour. Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour.
About the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, “ Eli, Eli, lima sabachthani?” That is, “ My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
Some of them who stood there, when they heard it, said, “ This man is calling Elijah.”And some of them that stood there, when they heard it, said, This man calleth Elijah.
Immediately one of them ran and took a sponge, filled it with vinegar, put it on a reed, and gave him a drink. And straightway one of them ran, and took a sponge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.
The rest said, “ Let him be. Let’s see whether Elijah comes to save him.”And the rest said, Let be; let us see whether Elijah cometh to save him.
Jesus cried again with a loud voice, and yielded up his spirit. And Jesus cried again with a loud voice, and yielded up his spirit.
Behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from the top to the bottom. The earth quaked and the rocks were split. And behold, the veil of the temple was rent in two from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake; and the rocks were rent;보라, 성전의 휘장이 위에서 아래까지 둘로 찢어지고, 땅이 흔들리며 바위가 갈라졌다.
The tombs were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised;and the tombs were opened; and many bodies of the saints that had fallen asleep were raised;무덤들이 열리고, 잠들었던 많은 성도의 몸이 일어났다.
and coming out of the tombs after his resurrection, they entered into the holy city and appeared to many.and coming forth out of the tombs after his resurrection they entered into the holy city and appeared unto many.
Now the centurion and those who were with him watching Jesus, when they saw the earthquake and the things that were done, were terrified, saying, “ Truly this was the Son of God!”Now the centurion, and they that were with him watching Jesus, when they saw the earthquake, and the things that were done, feared exceedingly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.
Many women were there watching from afar, who had followed Jesus from Galilee, serving him.And many women were there beholding from afar, who had followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him:거기에는 많은 여자가 멀리서 지켜보고 있었으니, 그들은 갈릴리에서부터 예수를 따르며 섬기던 사람들이었다.
Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of the sons of Zebedee.among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of the sons of Zebedee.
When evening had come, a rich man from Arimathaea named Joseph, who himself was also Jesus’ disciple, came. And when even was come, there came a rich man from Arimathæa, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus’ disciple:저녁이 되자, 아리마대 출신의 부자 요셉이라는 사람이 왔으니, 그도 예수의 제자였다.
This man went to Pilate and asked for Jesus’ body. Then Pilate commanded the body to be given up.this man went to Pilate, and asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded it to be given up.
Joseph took the body and wrapped it in a clean linen clothAnd Joseph took the body, and wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,
and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had cut out in the rock. Then he rolled a large stone against the door of the tomb, and departed.and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the tomb, and departed.
Mary Magdalene was there, and the other Mary, sitting opposite the tomb. And Mary Magdalene was there, and the other Mary, sitting over against the sepulchre.
Now on the next day, which was the day after the Preparation Day, the chief priests and the Pharisees were gathered together to Pilate,Now on the morrow, which is the day after the Preparation, the chief priests and the Pharisees were gathered together unto Pilate,이튿날, 곧 예비일 다음 날에, 대제사장들과 바리새인들이 함께 빌라도에게 모여
saying, “ Sir, we remember what that deceiver said while he was still alive: ‘ After three days I will rise again.’saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said while he was yet alive, After three days I rise again.
Command therefore that the tomb be made secure until the third day, lest perhaps his disciples come at night and steal him away, and tell the people, ‘ He is risen from the dead;’ and the last deception will be worse than the first.”Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest haply his disciples come and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: and the last error will be worse than the first.
Pilate said to them, “ You have a guard. Go, make it as secure as you can.”Pilate said unto them, Ye have a guard: go, make it as sure as ye can.
So they went with the guard and made the tomb secure, sealing the stone. So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, the guard being with them.
