1 The Pharisees and Sadducees came, and testing him, asked him to show them a sign from heaven.And the Pharisees and Sadducees came, and trying him asked him to show them a sign from heaven.바리새 사람들과 사두개 사람들이 와서 예수를 시험하려고 하늘로부터 오는 표적을 보여 달라고 청하였다.
2 But he answered them, “ When it is evening, you say, ‘ It will be fair weather, for the sky is red.’But he answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the heaven is red.그러나 예수께서 그들에게 대답하셨다. "너희는 저녁이 되면 '하늘이 붉으니 날이 맑겠다'라고 말하고,
3 In the morning, ‘ It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Hypocrites! You know how to discern the appearance of the sky, but you can’ t discern the signs of the times!And in the morning, It will be foul weather to-day: for the heaven is red and lowering. Ye know how to discern the face of the heaven; but ye cannot discern the signs of the times.아침에는 '하늘이 붉고 어두우니 오늘은 날이 궂겠다'라고 말한다. 위선자들아! 너희가 하늘의 모습은 분별할 줄 알면서 시대의 표적은 분별하지 못하느냐!
4 An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and there will be no sign given to it, except the sign of the prophet Jonah.” He left them and departed.An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of Jonah. And he left them, and departed.악하고 음란한 세대가 표적을 구하지만, 요나 선지자의 표적 외에는 아무 표적도 주어지지 않을 것이다." 그러고는 그들을 떠나 가셨다.
5 The disciples came to the other side and had forgotten to take bread.And the disciples came to the other side and forgot to take bread.제자들이 건너편으로 갔는데 빵 가져오는 것을 잊어버렸다.
6 Jesus said to them, “ Take heed and beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”And Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.예수께서 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "바리새 사람들과 사두개 사람들의 누룩을 주의하고 조심하여라."
7 They reasoned among themselves, saying, “ We brought no bread.”And they reasoned among themselves, saying, We took no bread.그들이 서로 의논하며 "우리가 빵을 가져오지 않아서 그러시는구나"라고 말하였다.
8 Jesus, perceiving it, said, “ Why do you reason among yourselves, you of little faith, because you have brought no bread?And Jesus perceiving it said, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have no bread?예수께서 그것을 아시고 말씀하셨다. "믿음이 적은 사람들아, 어찌하여 빵이 없다고 서로 의논하느냐?
9 Don’ t you yet perceive or remember the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many baskets you took up,Do ye not yet perceive, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?너희가 아직도 깨닫지 못하느냐? 빵 다섯 개로 오천 명을 먹이고 몇 광주리를 거두었는지 기억하지 못하느냐?
10 or the seven loaves for the four thousand, and how many baskets you took up?Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?또 빵 일곱 개로 사천 명을 먹이고 몇 광주리를 거두었는지도 기억하지 못하느냐?
11 How is it that you don’ t perceive that I didn’ t speak to you concerning bread? But beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”How is it that ye do not perceive that I spake not to you concerning bread? But beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.어찌하여 내가 빵에 관하여 말한 것이 아님을 깨닫지 못하느냐? 다만 바리새 사람들과 사두개 사람들의 누룩을 조심하여라."
12 Then they understood that he didn’ t tell them to beware of the yeast of bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.Then understood they that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.그제야 제자들은 예수께서 조심하라고 하신 것이 빵의 누룩이 아니라 바리새 사람들과 사두개 사람들의 가르침임을 깨달았다.
13 Now when Jesus came into the parts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, “ Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”Now when Jesus came into the parts of Cæsarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Who do men say that the Son of man is?예수께서 가이사랴 빌립보 지방에 이르셨을 때 제자들에게 물으셨다. "사람들이 인자를 누구라고 하느냐?"
14 They said, “ Some say John the Baptizer, some, Elijah, and others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”And they said, Some say John the Baptist; some, Elijah; and others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.그들이 대답하였다. "어떤 사람은 세례자 요한이라 하고, 어떤 사람은 엘리야라 하며, 또 다른 사람은 예레미야나 선지자 가운데 한 사람이라고 합니다."
15 He said to them, “ But who do you say that I am?”He saith unto them, But who say ye that I am?예수께서 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "그러면 너희는 나를 누구라고 하느냐?"
16 Simon Peter answered, “ You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.시몬 베드로가 대답하였다. "주님은 그리스도시요 살아 계신 하나님의 아들이십니다."
17 Jesus answered him, “ Blessed are you, Simon Bar Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-Jonah: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father who is in heaven.예수께서 그에게 대답하셨다. "요나의 아들 시몬아, 너는 복이 있다. 이것을 네게 알려 주신 분은 사람이 아니라 하늘에 계신 내 아버지시다.
18 I also tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my assembly, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it.And I also say unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.내가 네게 말한다. 너는 베드로다. 내가 이 반석 위에 내 교회를 세울 것이니, 죽음의 권세가 그것을 이기지 못할 것이다.
19 I will give to you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven; and whatever you release on earth will have been released in heaven.”I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.내가 하늘 나라의 열쇠를 네게 주겠다. 네가 땅에서 매는 것은 무엇이든지 하늘에서도 매여 있을 것이요, 네가 땅에서 푸는 것은 무엇이든지 하늘에서도 풀려 있을 것이다."
20 Then he commanded the disciples that they should tell no one that he was Jesus the Christ.Then charged he the disciples that they should tell no man that he was the Christ.그러고는 자기가 그리스도라는 것을 아무에게도 말하지 말라고 제자들에게 당부하셨다.
21 From that time, Jesus began to show his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders, chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and the third day be raised up.From that time began Jesus to show unto his disciples, that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and the third day be raised up.그때부터 예수께서는 자기가 예루살렘에 올라가 장로들과 대제사장들과 율법학자들에게 많은 고난을 받고 죽임을 당했다가 사흘째 되는 날에 살아나야 한다는 것을 제자들에게 보이기 시작하셨다.
22 Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him, saying, “ Far be it from you, Lord! This will never be done to you.”And Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall never be unto thee.베드로가 예수를 붙들고 꾸짖기 시작하였다. "주님, 그럴 수 없습니다! 결코 그런 일이 주님께 일어나서는 안 됩니다."
23 But he turned and said to Peter, “ Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me, for you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but on the things of men.”But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art a stumbling-block unto me: for thou mindest not the things of God, but the things of men.그러나 예수께서 돌아서서 베드로에게 말씀하셨다. "사탄아, 내 뒤로 물러가라! 너는 내게 걸림돌이다. 네가 하나님의 일을 생각하지 않고 사람의 일을 생각하는구나."
24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “ If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man would come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.그때 예수께서 제자들에게 말씀하셨다. "누구든지 나를 따라오려거든 자기를 부인하고 자기 십자가를 지고 나를 따라야 한다.
25 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, and whoever will lose his life for my sake will find it.For whosoever would save his life shall lose it: and whosoever shall lose his life for my sake shall find it.누구든지 자기 목숨을 구하려는 사람은 잃을 것이요, 누구든지 나를 위하여 자기 목숨을 잃는 사람은 찾을 것이다.
26 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his life? Or what will a man give in exchange for his life?For what shall a man be profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and forfeit his life? or what shall a man give in exchange for his life?사람이 온 세상을 얻고도 자기 목숨을 잃으면 무슨 유익이 있겠느냐? 사람이 무엇을 주고 자기 목숨을 되찾겠느냐?
27 For the Son of Man will come in the glory of his Father with his angels, and then he will give to everyone according to his deeds.For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then shall he render unto every man according to his deeds.인자가 아버지의 영광 가운데 천사들과 함께 올 것이며, 그때에 각 사람에게 그 행한 대로 갚아 줄 것이다.
28 Most certainly I tell you, there are some standing here who will in no way taste of death until they see the Son of Man coming in his Kingdom.”Verily I say unto you, There are some of them that stand here, who shall in no wise taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.내가 진실로 너희에게 말한다. 여기 서 있는 사람들 가운데 인자가 자기 나라에 들어오는 것을 볼 때까지 결코 죽음을 맛보지 않을 사람들이 있다."
