2 Saul’s son had two men who were captains of raiding bands. The name of one was Baanah and the name of the other Rechab, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, of the children of Benjamin ( for Beeroth also is considered a part of Benjamin;And Ish-bosheth, Saul’s son, had two men that were captains of bands: the name of the one was Baanah, and the name of the other Rechab, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, of the children of Benjamin ( for Beeroth also is reckoned to Benjamin:사울의 아들에게는 군대의 두목 노릇 하는 사람이 둘 있었는데, 한 사람의 이름은 바아나요 다른 사람의 이름은 레갑이니, 이들은 베냐민 자손에 속한 브에롯 사람 림몬의 아들들이었다. (브에롯도 베냐민에 속한 것으로 여겨졌으니,

4 Now Jonathan, Saul’s son, had a son who was lame in his feet. He was five years old when the news came about Saul and Jonathan out of Jezreel; and his nurse picked him up and fled. As she hurried to flee, he fell and became lame. His name was Mephibosheth.Now Jonathan, Saul’s son, had a son that was lame of his feet. 5 The sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, Rechab and Baanah, went out and came at about the heat of the day to the house of Ishbosheth as he took his rest at noon.And the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, Rechab and Baanah, went, and came about the heat of the day to the house of Ish-bosheth, as he took his rest at noon.브에롯 사람 림몬의 아들 레갑과 바아나가 길을 떠나, 날이 더울 무렵 이스보셋이 한낮에 쉬고 있는 그의 집으로 들어갔다.
6 They came there into the middle of the house as though they would have fetched wheat, and they struck him in the body; and Rechab and Baanah his brother escaped.And they came thither into the midst of the house, as though they would have fetched wheat; and they smote him in the body: and Rechab and Baanah his brother escaped.그들은 밀을 가지러 온 것처럼 하며 집 안으로 들어가 그의 배를 찔렀고, 레갑과 그의 형제 바아나는 빠져나갔다.

8 They brought the head of Ishbosheth to David to Hebron, and said to the king, “ Behold, the head of Ishbosheth, the son of Saul, your enemy, who sought your life! Yahweh has avenged my lord the king today of Saul and of his offspring.”And they brought the head of Ish-bosheth unto David to Hebron, and said to the king, Behold, the head of Ish-bosheth, the son of Saul, thine enemy, who sought thy life; and Jehovah hath avenged my lord the king this day of Saul, and of his seed.그들이 이스보셋의 머리를 헤브론에 있는 다윗에게 가지고 와서 왕에게 말하였다. "보십시오, 왕의 목숨을 노리던 왕의 원수 사울의 아들 이스보셋의 머리입니다. 여호와께서 오늘 내 주 왕을 위하여 사울과 그 자손에게 원수를 갚으셨습니다."
9 David answered Rechab and Baanah his brother, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, and said to them, “ As Yahweh lives, who has redeemed my soul out of all adversity,And David answered Rechab and Baanah his brother, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, and said unto them, As Jehovah liveth, who hath redeemed my soul out of all adversity,다윗이 브에롯 사람 림몬의 아들 레갑과 그의 형제 바아나에게 대답하여 말하였다. "내 생명을 모든 환난에서 건져 내신 여호와께서 살아 계심을 두고 맹세하노니,
10 when someone told me, ‘ Behold, Saul is dead,’ thinking that he brought good news, I seized him and killed him in Ziklag, which was the reward I gave him for his news.when one told me, saying, Behold, Saul is dead, thinking to have brought good tidings, I took hold of him, and slew him in Ziklag, which was the reward I gave him for his tidings.어떤 사람이 내게 '보소서, 사울이 죽었습니다' 하며 좋은 소식을 전한 줄로 여겼을 때, 나는 그를 붙잡아 시글락에서 죽였으니, 그것이 그가 전한 소식에 대해 내가 준 보답이었다.
11 How much more, when wicked men have slain a righteous person in his own house on his bed, should I not now require his blood from your hand, and rid the earth of you?”How much more, when wicked men have slain a righteous person in his own house upon his bed, shall I not now require his blood of your hand, and take you away from the earth?하물며 악한 자들이 의로운 사람을 그의 집에서 침대 위에 누워 있을 때에 죽였으니, 이제 내가 너희 손에서 그의 피를 찾고 너희를 이 땅에서 없애 버리지 않겠느냐?"
12 David commanded his young men, and they killed them, cut off their hands and their feet, and hanged them up beside the pool in Hebron.
