1 David said, “ Is there yet any who is left of Saul’s house, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan’s sake?”And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan’s sake?다윗이 말하였다. "사울의 집안에 아직 살아남은 사람이 있느냐? 요나단을 생각해서 그에게 은혜를 베풀고 싶구나."
2 There was of Saul’s house a servant whose name was Ziba, and they called him to David; and the king said to him, “ Are you Ziba?” He said, “ I am your servant.”And there was of the house of Saul a servant whose name was Ziba, and they called him unto David; and the king said unto him, Art thou Ziba? And he said, Thy servant is he.사울의 집안에는 시바라는 이름의 종이 있었다. 사람들이 그를 다윗에게로 불러왔다. 왕이 그에게 물었다. "네가 시바냐?" 그가 대답하였다. "예, 당신의 종이 바로 저입니다."
3 The king said, “ Is there not yet any of Saul’s house, that I may show the kindness of God to him?” Ziba said to the king, “ Jonathan still has a son, who is lame in his feet.”And the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may show the kindness of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, Jonathan hath yet a son, who is lame of his feet.왕이 말하였다. "사울의 집안에 아직 남은 사람이 없느냐? 하나님의 은혜를 그에게 베풀고 싶구나." 시바가 왕에게 대답하였다. "요나단에게 아들이 하나 있는데, 두 발을 저는 사람입니다."
4 The king said to him, “ Where is he?” Ziba said to the king, “ Behold, he is in the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, in Lo Debar.”And the king said unto him, Where is he? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, in Lo-debar.왕이 그에게 물었다. "그가 어디에 있느냐?" 시바가 왕에게 대답하였다. "보십시오, 그는 로드발에 있는 암미엘의 아들 마길의 집에 있습니다."
5 Then King David sent and brought him out of the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, from Lo Debar.Then king David sent, and fetched him out of the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, from Lo-debar.그러자 다윗 왕이 사람을 보내어, 로드발에 있는 암미엘의 아들 마길의 집에서 그를 데려왔다.
6 Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, came to David, fell on his face, and showed respect. David said, “ Mephibosheth?” He answered, “ Behold, your servant!”And Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, came unto David, and fell on his face, and did obeisance. And David said, Mephibosheth. And he answered, Behold, thy servant!사울의 손자이며 요나단의 아들인 므비보셋이 다윗에게 나아와, 얼굴을 땅에 대고 엎드려 절하였다. 다윗이 "므비보셋아" 하고 부르니, 그가 "보십시오, 당신의 종이 여기 있습니다" 하고 대답하였다.
7 David said to him, “Don’t be afraid, for I will surely show you kindness for Jonathan your father’s sake, and will restore to you all the land of Saul your father. You will eat bread at my table continually.”And David said unto him, Fear not; for I will surely show thee kindness for Jonathan thy father’s sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually.다윗이 그에게 말하였다. "두려워하지 마라. 내가 네 아버지 요나단을 생각해서 반드시 너에게 은혜를 베풀겠다. 네 할아버지 사울의 모든 땅을 너에게 돌려주겠고, 너는 언제나 내 상에서 함께 음식을 먹게 될 것이다."
8 He bowed down, and said, “ What is your servant, that you should look at such a dead dog as I am?”And he did obeisance, and said, What is thy servant, that thou shouldest look upon such a dead dog as I am?므비보셋이 절하며 말하였다. "이 종이 무엇이기에, 저처럼 죽은 개 같은 사람을 돌아보아 주십니까?"
9 Then the king called to Ziba, Saul’s servant, and said to him, “ All that belonged to Saul and to all his house I have given to your master’s son.Then the king called to Ziba, Saul’s servant, and said unto him, All that pertained to Saul and to all his house have I given unto thy master’s son.그러자 왕이 사울의 종 시바를 불러서 말하였다. "사울과 그의 온 집안에 속한 모든 것을 내가 네 주인의 손자에게 주었다.
10 Till the land for him — you, your sons, and your servants. Bring in the harvest, that your master’s son may have bread to eat; but Mephibosheth your master’s son will always eat bread at my table.” Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.And thou shalt till the land for him, thou, and thy sons, and thy servants; and thou shalt bring in the fruits, that thy master’s son may have bread to eat: but Mephibosheth thy master’s son shall eat bread alway at my table. Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.너와 네 아들들과 네 종들은 그를 위하여 땅을 갈고, 그 소출을 거두어들여서, 네 주인의 손자가 먹을 양식이 되게 하여라. 그러나 네 주인의 손자 므비보셋은 언제나 내 상에서 함께 음식을 먹을 것이다." 시바에게는 아들 열다섯과 종 스무 명이 있었다.
11 Then Ziba said to the king, “ According to all that my lord the king commands his servant, so your servant will do.” So Mephibosheth ate at the king’s table like one of the king’s sons.Then said Ziba unto the king, According to all that my lord the king commandeth his servant, so shall thy servant do. As for Mephibosheth, said the king, he shall eat at my table, as one of the king’s sons.시바가 왕에게 말하였다. "내 주 왕께서 이 종에게 명하신 대로, 당신의 종이 모두 그렇게 하겠습니다." 그리하여 므비보셋은 왕의 아들 가운데 하나처럼 왕의 상에서 음식을 먹었다.
12 Mephibosheth had a young son, whose name was Mica. All who lived in Ziba’s house were servants to Mephibosheth.And Mephibosheth had a young son, whose name was Mica. And all that dwelt in the house of Ziba were servants unto Mephibosheth.므비보셋에게는 미가라는 어린 아들이 있었다. 시바의 집에 사는 사람들은 모두 므비보셋의 종이 되었다.
13 So Mephibosheth lived in Jerusalem, for he ate continually at the king’s table. He was lame in both his feet.So Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem; for he did eat continually at the king’s table. And he was lame in both his feet.그래서 므비보셋은 예루살렘에 살게 되었으니, 언제나 왕의 상에서 음식을 먹었기 때문이다. 그는 두 발을 다 저는 사람이었다.
