1 Now these are the last words of David. David the son of Jesse says, the man who was raised on high says, the anointed of the God of Jacob, the sweet psalmist of Israel:Now these are the last words of David. David the son of Jesse saith, And the man who was raised on high saith, The anointed of the God of Jacob, And the sweet psalmist of Israel:이것은 다윗의 마지막 말입니다. 이새의 아들 다윗이 말합니다. 높이 들어 올림을 받은 사람, 야곱의 하나님께 기름 부음을 받은 사람, 이스라엘의 아름다운 시인이 말합니다.
2 “ Yahweh’s Spirit spoke by me. His word was on my tongue.The Spirit of Jehovah spake by me, And his word was upon my tongue.“여호와의 영이 나를 통해 말씀하셨고, 그분의 말씀이 내 혀 위에 있었다.
3 The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spoke to me, ‘ One who rules over men righteously, who rules in the fear of God,The God of Israel said, The Rock of Israel spake to me: One that ruleth over men righteously, That ruleth in the fear of God,이스라엘의 하나님께서 말씀하셨고, 이스라엘의 반석이 내게 이르셨다. ‘사람을 의롭게 다스리는 자, 하나님을 경외하는 마음으로 다스리는 자는,
4 shall be as the light of the morning when the sun rises, a morning without clouds, when the tender grass springs out of the earth, through clear shining after rain.’He shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun riseth, A morning without clouds, When the tender grass springeth out of the earth, Through clear shining after rain.구름 없는 아침에 해가 떠오를 때의 아침 빛과 같고, 비 갠 뒤 맑게 빛나 땅에서 연한 풀이 돋아나게 하는 빛과 같으리라.’
5 Isn’t my house so with God? Yet he has made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure, for it is all my salvation and all my desire. Won’t he make it grow?Verily my house is not so with God; Yet he hath made with me an everlasting covenant, Ordered in all things, and sure: For it is all my salvation, and all my desire, Although he maketh it not to grow.참으로 내 집이 하나님 앞에서 그처럼 온전하지는 못하지만, 그분께서는 나와 영원한 언약을 맺으셨으니, 모든 일에 질서 있게 정해지고 확실하다. 그것은 내 모든 구원이요 내 모든 소원이니, 비록 그분께서 그것을 아직 자라나게 하지 않으셨을지라도 그러하다.
6 But all the ungodly will be as thorns to be thrust away, because they can’t be taken with the hand.But the ungodly shall be all of them as thorns to be thrust away, Because they cannot be taken with the hand;그러나 경건하지 못한 자들은 다 내던져 버릴 가시 같으리니, 그것은 손으로 잡을 수 없기 때문이다.
7 The man who touches them must be armed with iron and the staff of a spear. They will be utterly burned with fire in their place.”But the man that toucheth them Must be armed with iron and the staff of a spear: And they shall be utterly burned with fire in their place.그것에 손대려는 사람은 반드시 쇠붙이와 창 자루로 무장해야 하며, 그것들은 그 자리에서 불에 완전히 타 버리고 말 것이다.”

15 David said longingly, “ Oh that someone would give me water to drink from the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!”And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me water to drink of the well of Beth-lehem, which is by the gate!다윗이 간절히 바라며 말했습니다. “아, 누가 성문 곁에 있는 베들레헴 우물의 물을 내게 마시게 해 주면 좋으련만!”
16 The three mighty men broke through the army of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem that was by the gate and took it and brought it to David; but he would not drink of it, but poured it out to Yahweh.And the three mighty men brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Beth-lehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: but he would not drink thereof, but poured it out unto Jehovah.그러자 세 용사가 블레셋 사람의 진영을 뚫고 들어가, 성문 곁에 있는 베들레헴 우물에서 물을 길어 가지고 다윗에게 가져왔습니다. 그러나 다윗은 그 물을 마시지 않고 여호와께 부어 드렸습니다.
17 He said, “ Be it far from me, Yahweh, that I should do this! Isn’t this the blood of the men who risked their lives to go?” Therefore he would not drink it. The three mighty men did these things.And he said, Be it far from me, O Jehovah, that I should do this: shall I drink the blood of the men that went in jeopardy of their lives? therefore he would not drink it. These things did the three mighty men.그가 말했습니다. “여호와여, 내가 이런 일을 하다니 결코 그럴 수 없습니다! 이것은 목숨을 걸고 다녀온 사람들의 피가 아닙니까?” 그래서 그는 그 물을 마시지 않았습니다. 이 일들은 세 용사가 한 일입니다.

19 Wasn’t he most honorable of the three? Therefore he was made their captain. However he wasn’t included as one of the three.Was he not most honorable of the three? therefore he was made their captain: howbeit he attained not unto the first three.그는 이 세 사람 가운데서 가장 존귀하지 않았습니까? 그래서 그들의 대장이 되었으나, 처음 세 사람의 반열에는 이르지 못했습니다.
20 Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man of Kabzeel, who had done mighty deeds, killed the two sons of Ariel of Moab.
