1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’ t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus.그러므로 이제 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 사람들, 곧 육신을 따라 살지 않고 성령을 따라 사는 사람들에게는 정죄함이 없습니다.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death.For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death.그리스도 예수 안에서 생명을 주시는 성령의 법이, 죄와 죽음의 법에서 나를 자유롭게 해 주었기 때문입니다.
3 For what the law couldn’ t do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh,For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:율법이 육신으로 인해 연약해져서 할 수 없던 그 일을, 하나님께서 친히 이루셨습니다. 하나님께서 자기 아들을 죄 있는 육신의 모양으로, 또 죄를 다루시려고 보내셔서, 육신 안에서 죄를 정죄하셨습니다.
4 that the ordinance of the law might be fulfilled in us who don’ t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.that the ordinance of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.이는 육신을 따라 살지 않고 성령을 따라 사는 우리 안에서, 율법이 요구하는 의가 이루어지게 하시려는 것입니다.
5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.For they that are after the flesh mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.육신을 따라 사는 사람들은 육신의 일에 마음을 두지만, 성령을 따라 사는 사람들은 성령의 일에 마음을 둡니다.
6 For the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace;For the mind of the flesh is death; but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace:육신에 속한 생각은 죽음이지만, 성령에 속한 생각은 생명과 평안입니다.
7 because the mind of the flesh is hostile toward God, for it is not subject to God’s law, neither indeed can it be.because the mind of the flesh is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can it be:육신에 속한 생각은 하나님을 향해 적대하기 때문입니다. 그것은 하나님의 율법에 복종하지 않으며, 또 복종할 수도 없습니다.
8 Those who are in the flesh can’ t please God.and they that are in the flesh cannot please God.육신 안에 있는 사람들은 하나님을 기쁘시게 할 수 없습니다.
9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if it is so that the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if any man doesn’t have the Spirit of Christ, he is not his.But ye are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you. But if any man hath not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.그러나 하나님의 성령이 여러분 안에 거하신다면, 여러분은 육신 안에 있지 않고 성령 안에 있습니다. 누구든지 그리스도의 영이 없으면, 그는 그리스도의 사람이 아닙니다.
10 If Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the spirit is alive because of righteousness.And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the spirit is life because of righteousness.그리스도께서 여러분 안에 계시면, 몸은 죄로 인해 죽은 것이지만, 영은 의로 인해 살아 있습니다.
11 But if the Spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwelleth in you, he that raised up Christ Jesus from the dead shall give life also to your mortal bodies through his Spirit that dwelleth in you.예수를 죽은 사람들 가운데서 살리신 분의 영이 여러분 안에 거하시면, 그리스도 예수를 죽은 사람들 가운데서 살리신 분께서, 여러분 안에 거하시는 자신의 성령으로 여러분의 죽을 몸도 살려 주실 것입니다.
12 So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.So then, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh:그러므로 형제 여러분, 우리는 빚진 사람입니다. 그러나 육신을 따라 살도록 육신에 빚진 것이 아닙니다.
13 For if you live after the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.for if ye live after the flesh, ye must die; but if by the Spirit ye put to death the deeds of the body, ye shall live.여러분이 육신을 따라 살면 반드시 죽을 것이지만, 성령으로 몸의 행실을 죽이면 살 것입니다.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God.For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.하나님의 성령으로 인도함을 받는 사람들은, 모두 하나님의 자녀입니다.
15 For you didn’ t receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”For ye received not the spirit of bondage again unto fear; but ye received the spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.여러분은 다시 두려움에 빠뜨리는 종살이의 영을 받은 것이 아니라, 양자의 영을 받았습니다. 그 영으로 우리는 "아바, 아버지!"라고 부릅니다.
16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God;The Spirit himself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are children of God:성령께서 친히 우리의 영과 더불어, 우리가 하나님의 자녀임을 증언하십니다.
17 and if children, then heirs — heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified with him.and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified with him.자녀이면 또한 상속자입니다. 곧 하나님의 상속자요, 그리스도와 함께한 상속자입니다. 우리가 그분과 함께 고난을 받으면, 또한 그분과 함께 영광도 받을 것입니다.
18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which will be revealed toward us.For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed to us-ward.나는 생각합니다. 지금 이 시대의 고난은, 장차 우리에게 나타날 영광과 비교할 가치도 없습니다.
19 For the creation waits with eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.For the earnest expectation of the creation waiteth for the revealing of the sons of God.피조물은 하나님의 자녀가 나타나기를 간절히 기다리며 고대하고 있습니다.
20 For the creation was subjected to vanity, not of its own will, but because of him who subjected it, in hopeFor the creation was subjected to vanity, not of its own will, but by reason of him who subjected it, in hope피조물이 헛된 데 굴복하게 된 것은 자기 뜻이 아니라, 굴복하게 하신 분으로 말미암은 것이며, 그것도 소망 가운데 그렇게 된 것입니다.
21 that the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of decay into the liberty of the glory of the children of God.that the creation itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the liberty of the glory of the children of God.곧 피조물 자신도 썩어짐의 종살이에서 해방되어, 하나님의 자녀가 누리는 영광의 자유에 이르게 되리라는 소망입니다.
22 For we know that the whole creation groans and travails in pain together until now.For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.우리가 알듯이, 모든 피조물이 이제까지 함께 신음하며 함께 해산의 고통을 겪고 있습니다.
23 Not only so, but ourselves also, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for adoption, the redemption of our body.And not only so, but ourselves also, who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for our adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.그뿐 아니라 성령의 첫 열매를 받은 우리 자신도 속으로 신음하며, 양자 됨 곧 우리 몸의 속량을 간절히 기다립니다.
24 For we were saved in hope, but hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for that which he sees?For in hope were we saved: but hope that is seen is not hope: for who hopeth for that which he seeth?우리는 소망 가운데 구원을 받았습니다. 그런데 보이는 소망은 소망이 아닙니다. 보이는 것을 누가 바라겠습니까?
25 But if we hope for that which we don’t see, we wait for it with patience.But if we hope for that which we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.그러나 우리가 보이지 않는 것을 바란다면, 인내하며 그것을 기다립니다.
26 In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’ t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’ t be uttered.And in like manner the Spirit also helpeth our infirmity: for we know not how to pray as we ought; but the Spirit himself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered;이와 같이 성령께서도 우리의 연약함을 도우십니다. 우리는 마땅히 어떻게 기도해야 할지 알지 못하지만, 성령께서 친히 말로 다 할 수 없는 신음으로 우리를 위해 간구하십니다.
27 He who searches the hearts knows what is on the Spirit’s mind, because he makes intercession for the saints according to God.and he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.마음을 살피시는 분께서 성령의 생각이 무엇인지 아십니다. 성령께서 하나님의 뜻을 따라 성도를 위해 간구하시기 때문입니다.
28 We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose.And we know that to them that love God all things work together for good, even to them that are called according to his purpose.우리가 알듯이, 하나님을 사랑하는 사람들 곧 그분의 뜻을 따라 부르심을 받은 사람들에게는, 모든 일이 함께 작용하여 선을 이룹니다.
29 For whom he foreknew, he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.For whom he foreknew, he also foreordained to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren:하나님께서 미리 아신 사람들을, 또한 자기 아들의 형상을 닮게 하시려고 미리 정하셨습니다. 이는 그 아들을 많은 형제 가운데서 맏아들이 되게 하시려는 것입니다.
30 Whom he predestined, those he also called. Whom he called, those he also justified. Whom he justified, those he also glorified.and whom he foreordained, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.미리 정하신 사람들을 또한 부르셨고, 부르신 사람들을 또한 의롭다 하셨으며, 의롭다 하신 사람들을 또한 영화롭게 하셨습니다.
31 What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?그러면 이 일들에 대해 우리가 무엇이라고 말하겠습니까? 하나님께서 우리 편이시면, 누가 우리를 대적하겠습니까?
32 He who didn’ t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not also with him freely give us all things?자기 아들을 아끼지 않으시고 우리 모두를 위해 내어 주신 분께서, 어찌 그 아들과 함께 모든 것을 우리에게 거저 주지 않으시겠습니까?
33 Who could bring a charge against God’s chosen ones? It is God who justifies.Who shall lay anything to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth;누가 하나님께서 택하신 사람들을 고발하겠습니까? 의롭다 하시는 분은 하나님이십니다.
34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, yes rather, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.who is he that condemneth? It is Christ Jesus that died, yea rather, that was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.누가 정죄하겠습니까? 죽으셨다가, 아니 오히려 죽은 사람들 가운데서 다시 살아나셔서, 하나님의 오른편에 계시며 우리를 위해 간구하시는 분이 바로 그리스도이십니다.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Could oppression, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?누가 우리를 그리스도의 사랑에서 끊을 수 있겠습니까? 환난이나 곤고나 박해나 굶주림이나 헐벗음이나 위험이나 칼이겠습니까?
36 Even as it is written, “ For your sake we are killed all day long. We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”Even as it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter.기록된 바와 같습니다. "우리가 주를 위해 종일 죽임을 당하며, 도살할 양처럼 여김을 받았습니다."
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.그러나 이 모든 일에서도, 우리는 우리를 사랑하신 분으로 말미암아 넉넉히 이깁니다.
38 For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,내가 확신합니다. 죽음이나 생명이나 천사들이나 권세자들이나 현재 일이나 장래 일이나 능력이나,
39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from God’ s love which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.높음이나 깊음이나 그 밖의 어떤 피조물이라도, 우리를 우리 주 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 하나님의 사랑에서 끊을 수 없습니다.
