1 Therefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service.I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service.그러므로 형제 여러분, 내가 하나님의 긍휼하심을 힘입어 여러분에게 권합니다. 여러분의 몸을 하나님께서 기뻐 받으실 거룩한 산 제물로 드리십시오. 이것이 여러분이 드릴 영적 예배입니다.
2 Don’ t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.이 세상을 본받지 말고, 마음을 새롭게 함으로 변화를 받으십시오. 그리하여 하나님의 선하시고 기뻐하시고 온전하신 뜻이 무엇인지 분별하십시오.
3 For I say through the grace that was given me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of yourself more highly than you ought to think; but to think reasonably, as God has apportioned to each person a measure of faith.For I say, through the grace that was given me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but so to think as to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to each man a measure of faith.내게 주신 은혜를 힘입어 여러분 가운데 있는 모든 사람에게 말합니다. 마땅히 생각할 그 이상으로 자기를 높게 생각하지 말고, 하나님께서 각 사람에게 나누어 주신 믿음의 분량대로 분수에 맞게 생각하십시오.
4 For even as we have many members in one body, and all the members don’ t have the same function,For even as we have many members in one body, and all the members have not the same office:한 몸에 많은 지체가 있으나 그 지체들이 다 같은 기능을 하지 않는 것처럼,
5 so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another,so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and severally members one of another.우리 많은 사람도 그리스도 안에서 한 몸이며, 각각 서로 지체가 됩니다.
6 having gifts differing according to the grace that was given to us: if prophecy, let’ s prophesy according to the proportion of our faith;And having gifts differing according to the grace that was given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of our faith;우리에게 주신 은혜대로 우리는 서로 다른 은사를 가졌으니, 예언이면 믿음의 분량대로 예언하고,
7 or service, let’s give ourselves to service; or he who teaches, to his teaching;or ministry, let us give ourselves to our ministry; or he that teacheth, to his teaching;섬기는 일이면 섬기는 일에 힘쓰고, 가르치는 사람이면 가르치는 일에 힘쓰고,
8 or he who exhorts, to his exhorting; he who gives, let him do it with generosity; he who rules, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.or he that exhorteth, to his exhorting: he that giveth, let him do it with liberality; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that showeth mercy, with cheerfulness.권면하는 사람이면 권면하는 일에 힘쓰십시오. 나누어 주는 사람은 후하게 하고, 다스리는 사람은 부지런하게 하고, 긍휼을 베푸는 사람은 기쁜 마음으로 하십시오.
9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil. Cling to that which is good.Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.사랑에는 거짓이 없게 하십시오. 악한 것을 미워하고 선한 것을 굳게 붙드십시오.
10 In love of the brothers be tenderly affectionate to one another; in honor prefer one another,In love of the brethren be tenderly affectioned one to another; in honor preferring one another;형제를 사랑함에 서로 따뜻하게 아끼고, 서로 존경하기를 먼저 하십시오.
11 not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord,in diligence not slothful; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;부지런함에 게으르지 말고, 영으로 뜨겁게 하며, 주를 섬기십시오.
12 rejoicing in hope, enduring in troubles, continuing steadfastly in prayer,rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing stedfastly in prayer;소망 가운데 기뻐하고, 환난 가운데 참으며, 기도에 끊임없이 힘쓰십시오.
13 contributing to the needs of the saints, and given to hospitality.communicating to the necessities of the saints; given to hospitality.성도들의 필요를 채워 주고, 손님 대접하기를 힘쓰십시오.
14 Bless those who persecute you; bless, and don’ t curse.Bless them that persecute you; bless, and curse not.여러분을 박해하는 자들을 축복하십시오. 축복하고 저주하지 마십시오.
15 Rejoice with those who rejoice. Weep with those who weep.Rejoice with them that rejoice; weep with them that weep.기뻐하는 사람들과 함께 기뻐하고, 우는 사람들과 함께 우십시오.
16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Don’ t set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Don’ t be wise in your own conceits.Be of the same mind one toward another. Set not your mind on high things, but condescend to things that are lowly. Be not wise in your own conceits.서로 한마음을 품으십시오. 높은 것에 마음을 두지 말고 도리어 낮은 사람들과 어울리십시오. 스스로 지혜롭게 여기지 마십시오.
17 Repay no one evil for evil. Respect what is honorable in the sight of all men.Render to no man evil for evil. Take thought for things honorable in the sight of all men.아무에게도 악을 악으로 갚지 말고, 모든 사람 앞에서 존경받을 만한 일에 마음을 쓰십시오.
18 If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men.If it be possible, as much as in you lieth, be at peace with all men.할 수 있거든 여러분 편에서 할 수 있는 대로 모든 사람과 더불어 평화롭게 지내십시오.
19 Don’ t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’ s wrath. For it is written, “ Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.”Avenge not yourselves, beloved, but give place unto the wrath of God: for it is written, Vengeance belongeth unto me; I will recompense, saith the Lord.사랑하는 여러분, 스스로 원수를 갚지 말고 하나님의 진노하심에 맡기십시오. 기록되기를 "원수 갚는 것은 내게 있으니 내가 갚으리라고 주께서 말씀하신다" 하였습니다.
20 Therefore “ If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head.”But if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him to drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head.그러므로 "네 원수가 주리거든 먹이고, 목마르거든 마시게 하라. 그렇게 함으로 네가 그의 머리 위에 숯불을 쌓아 놓는 것이다" 하였습니다.
21 Don’ t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.악에게 지지 말고 선으로 악을 이기십시오.
