2 The Philistines overtook Saul and his sons; and the Philistines killed Jonathan, Abinadab, and Malchishua, the sons of Saul.And the Philistines followed hard upon Saul and upon his sons; and the Philistines slew Jonathan, and Abinadab, and Malchi-shua, the sons of Saul.블레셋 사람들이 사울과 그의 아들들을 바짝 뒤쫓아, 사울의 아들 요나단과 아비나답과 말기수아를 죽였다.

4 Then Saul said to his armor bearer, “ Draw your sword, and thrust me through with it, lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through and abuse me!” But his armor bearer would not, for he was terrified. Therefore Saul took his sword and fell on it.Then said Saul to his armorbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith, lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armorbearer would not; for he was sore afraid. Therefore Saul took his sword, and fell upon it.그때 사울이 자기 무기를 든 부하에게 말했다. "네 칼을 빼어 나를 찔러라. 저 할례받지 못한 자들이 와서 나를 찌르고 욕보일까 두렵다." 그러나 그 무기를 든 부하가 몹시 두려워하여 그렇게 하려 하지 않으니, 사울이 자기 칼을 잡고 그 위에 엎드러졌다.
