1 David was told, “ Behold, the Philistines are fighting against Keilah, and are robbing the threshing floors.”And they told David, saying, Behold, the Philistines are fighting against Keilah, and are robbing the threshing-floors.사람들이 다윗에게 알렸다. "보십시오, 블레셋 사람들이 그일라를 치고 있으며 타작마당을 약탈하고 있습니다."
2 Therefore David inquired of Yahweh, saying, “ Shall I go and strike these Philistines?” Yahweh said to David, “ Go strike the Philistines, and save Keilah.”Therefore David inquired of Jehovah, saying, Shall I go and smite these Philistines? And Jehovah said unto David, Go, and smite the Philistines, and save Keilah.그래서 다윗이 여호와께 여쭈었다. "제가 가서 이 블레셋 사람들을 쳐야 합니까?" 여호와께서 다윗에게 말씀하셨다. "가서 블레셋 사람들을 치고 그일라를 구원하여라."
3 David’s men said to him, “ Behold, we are afraid here in Judah. How much more then if we go to Keilah against the armies of the Philistines?”And David’s men said unto him, Behold, we are afraid here in Judah: how much more then if we go to Keilah against the armies of the Philistines?다윗의 부하들이 그에게 말했다. "보십시오, 우리가 여기 유다 땅에서도 두려운데, 하물며 그일라로 가서 블레셋 군대와 맞선다면 더욱 그렇지 않겠습니까?"
4 Then David inquired of Yahweh yet again. Yahweh answered him, and said, “ Arise, go down to Keilah; for I will deliver the Philistines into your hand.”Then David inquired of Jehovah yet again. And Jehovah answered him, and said, Arise, go down to Keilah; for I will deliver the Philistines into thy hand.그러자 다윗이 다시 여호와께 여쭈었다. 여호와께서 그에게 대답하여 말씀하셨다. "일어나 그일라로 내려가거라. 내가 블레셋 사람들을 네 손에 넘겨주겠다."
5 David and his men went to Keilah and fought with the Philistines, and brought away their livestock, and killed them with a great slaughter. So David saved the inhabitants of Keilah.And David and his men went to Keilah, and fought with the Philistines, and brought away their cattle, and slew them with a great slaughter. So David saved the inhabitants of Keilah.다윗과 그의 부하들이 그일라로 가서 블레셋 사람들과 싸워 그들의 가축을 끌어오고 그들을 크게 쳐서 죽였다. 이렇게 다윗이 그일라 주민들을 구원했다.
6 When Abiathar the son of Ahimelech fled to David to Keilah, he came down with an ephod in his hand.And it came to pass, when Abiathar the son of Ahimelech fled to David to Keilah, that he came down with an ephod in his hand.아히멜렉의 아들 아비아달이 그일라에 있는 다윗에게 도망쳐 올 때 그는 손에 에봇을 들고 내려왔다.
7 Saul was told that David had come to Keilah. Saul said, “ God has delivered him into my hand, for he is shut in by entering into a town that has gates and bars.”And it was told Saul that David was come to Keilah. And Saul said, God hath delivered him into my hand; for he is shut in, by entering into a town that hath gates and bars.다윗이 그일라에 왔다는 것이 사울에게 알려졌다. 사울이 말했다. "하나님께서 그를 내 손에 넘겨주셨다. 그가 성문과 빗장이 있는 성읍에 들어갔으니 갇힌 셈이다."
8 Saul summoned all the people to war, to go down to Keilah to besiege David and his men.And Saul summoned all the people to war, to go down to Keilah, to besiege David and his men.사울은 모든 백성을 불러 전쟁에 나서게 하고, 그일라로 내려가 다윗과 그의 부하들을 포위하려 했다.
9 David knew that Saul was devising mischief against him. He said to Abiathar the priest, “ Bring the ephod here.”And David knew that Saul was devising mischief against him; and he said to Abiathar the priest, Bring hither the ephod.다윗은 사울이 자기를 해치려고 음모를 꾸미는 것을 알고 제사장 아비아달에게 말했다. "에봇을 이리로 가져오십시오."
10 Then David said, “ O Yahweh, the God of Israel, your servant has surely heard that Saul seeks to come to Keilah to destroy the city for my sake.Then said David, O Jehovah, the God of Israel, thy servant hath surely heard that Saul seeketh to come to Keilah, to destroy the city for my sake.그러고 나서 다윗이 말했다. "오 여호와, 이스라엘의 하나님이시여, 주의 종이 사울이 저 때문에 그일라로 와서 이 성읍을 멸하려 한다는 것을 분명히 들었습니다.
11 Will the men of Keilah deliver me up into his hand? Will Saul come down, as your servant has heard? Yahweh, the God of Israel, I beg you, tell your servant.” Yahweh said, “ He will come down.”Will the men of Keilah deliver me up into his hand? will Saul come down, as thy servant hath heard? O Jehovah, the God of Israel, I beseech thee, tell thy servant. And Jehovah said, He will come down.그일라 사람들이 저를 그의 손에 넘기겠습니까? 주의 종이 들은 대로 사울이 내려오겠습니까? 여호와, 이스라엘의 하나님이시여, 간구하오니 주의 종에게 일러 주십시오." 여호와께서 말씀하셨다. "그가 내려올 것이다."
12 Then David said, “ Will the men of Keilah deliver me and my men into the hand of Saul?” Yahweh said, “ They will deliver you up.”Then said David, Will the men of Keilah deliver up me and my men into the hand of Saul? And Jehovah said, They will deliver thee up.그러자 다윗이 말했다. "그일라 사람들이 저와 제 부하들을 사울의 손에 넘기겠습니까?" 여호와께서 말씀하셨다. "그들이 너를 넘길 것이다."
13 Then David and his men, who were about six hundred, arose and departed out of Keilah and went wherever they could go. Saul was told that David had escaped from Keilah; and he gave up going there.Then David and his men, who were about six hundred, arose and departed out of Keilah, and went whithersoever they could go. And it was told Saul that David was escaped from Keilah; and he forbare to go forth.그래서 다윗과 그의 부하 약 육백 명이 일어나 그일라에서 떠나 갈 수 있는 곳으로 옮겨 다녔다. 다윗이 그일라에서 빠져나갔다는 것이 사울에게 알려지자 사울은 그곳으로 가는 것을 그만두었다.
14 David stayed in the wilderness in the strongholds, and remained in the hill country in the wilderness of Ziph. Saul sought him every day, but God didn’t deliver him into his hand.And David abode in the wilderness in the strongholds, and remained in the hill-country in the wilderness of Ziph. And Saul sought him every day, but God delivered him not into his hand.다윗은 광야의 요새들에 머물렀고 십 광야의 산간 지역에 있었다. 사울이 날마다 그를 찾았으나 하나님께서는 그를 사울의 손에 넘기지 않으셨다.
15 David saw that Saul had come out to seek his life. David was in the wilderness of Ziph in the woods.And David saw that Saul was come out to seek his life: and David was in the wilderness of Ziph in the wood.다윗은 사울이 자기 목숨을 노리고 나온 것을 알았다. 그때 다윗은 십 광야의 수풀 속에 있었다.
16 Jonathan, Saul’s son, arose and went to David into the woods, and strengthened his hand in God.And Jonathan, Saul’s son, arose, and went to David into the wood, and strengthened his hand in God.사울의 아들 요나단이 일어나 수풀 속으로 다윗에게 가서 하나님 안에서 그의 손을 강하게 해 주었다.
17 He said to him, “Don’t be afraid, for the hand of Saul my father won’t find you; and you will be king over Israel, and I will be next to you; and Saul my father knows that also.”And he said unto him, Fear not; for the hand of Saul my father shall not find thee; and thou shalt be king over Israel, and I shall be next unto thee; and that also Saul my father knoweth.그가 다윗에게 말했다. "두려워하지 마십시오. 제 아버지 사울의 손이 당신을 찾지 못할 것입니다. 당신은 이스라엘의 왕이 될 것이고 나는 당신 다음 자리에 있을 것입니다. 제 아버지 사울도 그것을 알고 있습니다."
18 They both made a covenant before Yahweh. Then David stayed in the woods and Jonathan went to his house.And they two made a covenant before Jehovah: and David abode in the wood, and Jonathan went to his house.두 사람은 여호와 앞에서 언약을 맺었다. 다윗은 수풀 속에 머물렀고 요나단은 자기 집으로 돌아갔다.
19 Then the Ziphites came up to Saul to Gibeah, saying, “Doesn’t David hide himself with us in the strongholds in the woods, in the hill of Hachilah, which is on the south of the desert?Then came up the Ziphites to Saul to Gibeah, saying, Doth not David hide himself with us in the strongholds in the wood, in the hill of Hachilah, which is on the south of the desert?그때 십 사람들이 기브아에 있는 사울에게 올라와 말했다. "다윗이 광야 남쪽에 있는 하길라 산 수풀 속 요새에 우리와 함께 숨어 있지 않습니까?
20 Now therefore, O king, come down. According to all the desire of your soul to come down; and our part will be to deliver him up into the king’s hand.”Now therefore, O king, come down, according to all the desire of thy soul to come down; and our part shall be to deliver him up into the king’s hand.그러니 이제 왕이시여, 마음에 원하시는 대로 내려오십시오. 그를 왕의 손에 넘기는 것은 우리가 맡겠습니다."
21 Saul said, “ You are blessed by Yahweh, for you have had compassion on me.And Saul said, Blessed be ye of Jehovah; for ye have had compassion on me.사울이 말했다. "너희가 나를 불쌍히 여겼으니 여호와께 복을 받기를 바란다.
22 Please go make yet more sure, and know and see his place where his haunt is, and who has seen him there; for I have been told that he is very cunning.Go, I pray you, make yet more sure, and know and see his place where his haunt is, and who hath seen him there; for it is told me that he dealeth very subtly.부디 가서 더욱 확실히 알아보아라. 그가 자주 다니는 곳과 그를 거기서 본 사람이 누구인지 알아보고 살펴라. 그가 매우 교활하게 행동한다고 내가 들었다.
23 See therefore, and take knowledge of all the lurking places where he hides himself; and come again to me with certainty, and I will go with you. It shall happen, if he is in the land, that I will search him out among all the thousands of Judah.”See therefore, and take knowledge of all the lurking-places where he hideth himself, and come ye again to me of a certainty, and I will go with you: and it shall come to pass, if he be in the land, that I will search him out among all the thousands of Judah.그러니 그가 숨어 있는 모든 은신처를 잘 살피고 확실하게 알아낸 뒤 내게 다시 오너라. 그러면 내가 너희와 함께 가겠다. 그가 이 땅에 있다면 내가 유다의 모든 천(千) 가운데서라도 그를 찾아내겠다."
24 They arose, and went to Ziph before Saul; but David and his men were in the wilderness of Maon, in the Arabah on the south of the desert.And they arose, and went to Ziph before Saul: but David and his men were in the wilderness of Maon, in the Arabah on the south of the desert.그들이 일어나 사울보다 앞서 십으로 갔다. 그러나 다윗과 그의 부하들은 광야 남쪽 아라바에 있는 마온 광야에 있었다.
25 Saul and his men went to seek him. When David was told, he went down to the rock, and stayed in the wilderness of Maon. When Saul heard that, he pursued David in the wilderness of Maon.And Saul and his men went to seek him. And they told David: wherefore he came down to the rock, and abode in the wilderness of Maon. And when Saul heard that, he pursued after David in the wilderness of Maon.사울과 그의 부하들이 그를 찾으러 갔다. 다윗이 이 소식을 듣고 바위로 내려가 마온 광야에 머물렀다. 사울이 그것을 듣고 마온 광야로 다윗을 뒤쫓았다.
26 Saul went on this side of the mountain, and David and his men on that side of the mountain; and David hurried to get away for fear of Saul, for Saul and his men surrounded David and his men to take them.And Saul went on this side of the mountain, and David and his men on that side of the mountain: and David made haste to get away for fear of Saul; for Saul and his men compassed David and his men round about to take them.사울은 산 이쪽으로, 다윗과 그의 부하들은 산 저쪽으로 가고 있었다. 사울과 그의 부하들이 다윗과 그의 부하들을 잡으려고 에워쌌으므로 다윗은 사울이 두려워 서둘러 피하려 했다.
27 But a messenger came to Saul, saying, “ Hurry and come, for the Philistines have made a raid on the land!”But there came a messenger unto Saul, saying, Haste thee, and come; for the Philistines have made a raid upon the land.그런데 한 전령이 사울에게 와서 말했다. "어서 서둘러 오십시오. 블레셋 사람들이 이 땅을 침략했습니다!"
28 So Saul returned from pursuing David, and went against the Philistines. Therefore they called that place Sela Hammahlekoth.So Saul returned from pursuing after David, and went against the Philistines: therefore they called that place Sela-hammahlekoth.그래서 사울은 다윗 뒤쫓기를 멈추고 돌아가 블레셋 사람들을 치러 갔다. 그래서 사람들은 그곳을 셀라하마느곳이라 불렀다.
29 David went up from there and lived in the strongholds of En Gedi.And David went up from thence, and dwelt in the strongholds of En-gedi.다윗은 그곳에서 올라가 엔게디의 요새들에 살았다.
