1 In the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month Ziv, which is the second month, he began to build Yahweh’s house.And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month Ziv, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of Jehovah.이스라엘 자손이 이집트 땅에서 나온 지 사백팔십 년, 곧 솔로몬이 이스라엘을 다스린 지 사 년째 되던 해 둘째 달인 시브월에, 그는 여호와의 성전을 짓기 시작했습니다.
2 The house which King Solomon built for Yahweh had a length of sixty cubits, and its width twenty, and its height thirty cubits.And the house which king Solomon built for Jehovah, the length thereof was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits.솔로몬 왕이 여호와를 위해 지은 성전은 길이가 육십 큐빗, 너비가 이십 큐빗, 높이가 삼십 큐빗이었습니다.
3 The porch in front of the temple of the house had a length of twenty cubits, which was along the width of the house. Ten cubits was its width in front of the house.And the porch before the temple of the house, twenty cubits was the length thereof, according to the breadth of the house; and ten cubits was the breadth thereof before the house.성전 본당 앞 현관은 성전의 너비를 따라 길이가 이십 큐빗이었고, 성전 앞쪽으로 너비가 십 큐빗이었습니다.
4 He made windows of fixed lattice work for the house.And for the house he made windows of fixed lattice-work.성전을 위해 그는 붙박이 격자 모양의 창문들을 만들었습니다.
5 Against the wall of the house, he built floors all around, against the walls of the house all around, both of the temple and of the inner sanctuary; and he made side rooms all around.And against the wall of the house he built stories round about, against the walls of the house round about, both of the temple and of the oracle; and he made side-chambers round about.그는 성전 벽을 따라, 곧 본당과 지성소의 벽을 따라 사방으로 여러 층의 구조물을 세우고, 그 둘레에 곁방들을 만들었습니다.
6 The lowest floor was five cubits wide, and the middle was six cubits wide, and the third was seven cubits wide; for on the outside he made offsets in the wall of the house all around, that the beams should not be inserted into the walls of the house.The nethermost story was five cubits broad, and the middle was six cubits broad, and the third was seven cubits broad; for on the outside he made offsets in the wall of the house round about, that the beams should not have hold in the walls of the house.맨 아래층은 너비가 다섯 큐빗, 가운데 층은 여섯 큐빗, 셋째 층은 일곱 큐빗이었습니다. 들보가 성전 벽에 박히지 않도록, 성전 바깥벽을 사방으로 층층이 들여쌓았기 때문입니다.
7 The house, when it was under construction, was built of stone prepared at the quarry; and no hammer or ax or any tool of iron was heard in the house while it was under construction.And the house, when it was in building, was built of stone made ready at the quarry; and there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building.성전을 지을 때에는 채석장에서 미리 다듬은 돌로 지었으므로, 짓는 동안 성전 안에서 망치나 도끼나 그 어떤 쇠 연장 소리도 들리지 않았습니다.
8 The door for the middle side rooms was in the right side of the house. They went up by winding stairs into the middle floor, and out of the middle into the third.The door for the middle side-chambers was in the right side of the house: and they went up by winding stairs into the middle story, and out of the middle into the third.가운데 층 곁방으로 들어가는 문은 성전 오른쪽에 있었으며, 사람들은 나선형 계단을 따라 가운데 층으로 올라가고, 가운데 층에서 셋째 층으로 올라갔습니다.
9 So he built the house and finished it; and he covered the house with beams and planks of cedar.So he built the house, and finished it; and he covered the house with beams and planks of cedar.이렇게 그는 성전을 짓고 완성했으며, 백향목 들보와 널판으로 성전을 덮었습니다.
10 He built the floors all along the house, each five cubits high; and they rested on the house with timbers of cedar.And he built the stories against all the house, each five cubits high: and they rested on the house with timber of cedar.그는 성전 전체에 잇대어 각 층의 높이가 다섯 큐빗인 층 구조물을 세웠고, 그것들은 백향목 목재로 성전에 얹혀 있었습니다.
11 Yahweh’s word came to Solomon, saying,And the word of Jehovah came to Solomon, saying,여호와의 말씀이 솔로몬에게 임하여 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다.
12 “ Concerning this house which you are building, if you will walk in my statutes, and execute my ordinances, and keep all my commandments to walk in them, then I will establish my word with you, which I spoke to David your father.Concerning this house which thou art building, if thou wilt walk in my statutes, and execute mine ordinances, and keep all my commandments to walk in them; then will I establish my word with thee, which I spake unto David thy father.“네가 짓고 있는 이 성전을 두고 말한다. 네가 내 규례를 따라 걷고, 내 법도를 행하며, 내 모든 계명을 지켜 그대로 행하면, 내가 네 아버지 다윗에게 한 약속을 너에게 이루어 주겠다.
13 I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake my people Israel.”And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake my people Israel.또 내가 이스라엘 자손 가운데 거하며, 내 백성 이스라엘을 버리지 않을 것이다.”
14 So Solomon built the house and finished it.So Solomon built the house, and finished it.이렇게 솔로몬은 성전을 짓고 완성했습니다.
15 He built the walls of the house within with boards of cedar; from the floor of the house to the walls of the ceiling, he covered them on the inside with wood. He covered the floor of the house with cypress boards.And he built the walls of the house within with boards of cedar: from the floor of the house unto the walls of the ceiling, he covered them on the inside with wood; and he covered the floor of the house with boards of fir.그는 성전 안쪽 벽을 백향목 널판으로 입혔는데, 성전 바닥에서 천장 벽까지 안쪽을 나무로 덮었고, 성전 바닥은 잣나무 널판으로 덮었습니다.
16 He built twenty cubits of the back part of the house with boards of cedar from the floor to the ceiling. He built this within, for an inner sanctuary, even for the most holy place.And he built twenty cubits on the hinder part of the house with boards of cedar from the floor unto the walls of the ceiling: he built them for it within, for an oracle, even for the most holy place.또 그는 성전 뒤쪽으로 이십 큐빗 되는 곳을 백향목 널판으로 바닥에서 천장까지 막아, 그 안쪽을 지성소로 곧 가장 거룩한 곳으로 만들었습니다.
17 In front of the temple sanctuary was forty cubits long.And the house, that is, the temple before the oracle, was forty cubits long.지성소 앞에 있는 본당은 길이가 사십 큐빗이었습니다.
18 There was cedar on the house within, carved with buds and open flowers. All was cedar. No stone was visible.And there was cedar on the house within, carved with knops and open flowers: all was cedar; there was no stone seen.성전 안쪽의 백향목에는 박과 핀 꽃 모양이 새겨져 있었고, 모두 백향목이어서 돌이 전혀 보이지 않았습니다.
19 He prepared an inner sanctuary in the middle of the house within, to set the ark of Yahweh’s covenant there.And he prepared an oracle in the midst of the house within, to set there the ark of the covenant of Jehovah.그는 여호와의 언약궤를 모셔 두려고 성전 안쪽 중앙에 지성소를 마련했습니다.
20 Within the inner sanctuary was twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in width, and twenty cubits in its height. He overlaid it with pure gold. He covered the altar with cedar.And within the oracle was a space of twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits in the height thereof; and he overlaid it with pure gold: and he covered the altar with cedar.지성소 안은 길이가 이십 큐빗, 너비가 이십 큐빗, 높이가 이십 큐빗이었습니다. 그는 그곳을 순금으로 입히고, 제단도 백향목으로 입혔습니다.
21 So Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold. He drew chains of gold across before the inner sanctuary, and he overlaid it with gold.So Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold: and he drew chains of gold across before the oracle; and he overlaid it with gold.이렇게 솔로몬은 성전 안쪽을 순금으로 입혔습니다. 그는 지성소 앞을 가로질러 금사슬을 늘어뜨리고, 그곳을 금으로 입혔습니다.
22 He overlaid the whole house with gold, until all the house was finished. He also overlaid the whole altar that belonged to the inner sanctuary with gold.And the whole house he overlaid with gold, until all the house was finished: also the whole altar that belonged to the oracle he overlaid with gold.그는 성전 전체를 금으로 입혀 온 성전이 다 완성되게 했고, 지성소에 딸린 제단도 모두 금으로 입혔습니다.
23 In the inner sanctuary he made two cherubim of olive wood, each ten cubits high.And in the oracle he made two cherubim of olive-wood, each ten cubits high.그는 지성소 안에 올리브 나무로 두 그룹을 만들었는데, 각각 높이가 십 큐빗이었습니다.
24 Five cubits was the length of one wing of the cherub, and five cubits was the length of the other wing of the cherub. From the tip of one wing to the tip of the other was ten cubits.And five cubits was the one wing of the cherub, and five cubits the other wing of the cherub: from the uttermost part of the one wing unto the uttermost part of the other were ten cubits.그룹의 한쪽 날개가 다섯 큐빗, 다른 쪽 날개가 다섯 큐빗이어서, 한쪽 날개 끝에서 다른 쪽 날개 끝까지가 십 큐빗이었습니다.
25 The other cherub was ten cubits. Both the cherubim were of one measure and one form.And the other cherub was ten cubits: both the cherubim were of one measure and one form.다른 그룹도 십 큐빗이었으니, 두 그룹의 크기와 모양이 똑같았습니다.
26 One cherub was ten cubits high, and so was the other cherub.The height of the one cherub was ten cubits, and so was it of the other cherub.한 그룹의 높이가 십 큐빗이었고, 다른 그룹도 그러했습니다.
27 He set the cherubim within the inner house. The wings of the cherubim were stretched out, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the middle of the house.And he set the cherubim within the inner house; and the wings of the cherubim were stretched forth, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the midst of the house.그는 그룹들을 성전 안쪽 깊은 곳에 두었는데, 그룹들의 날개를 펼치니 한 그룹의 날개가 한쪽 벽에 닿고, 다른 그룹의 날개가 다른 쪽 벽에 닿았으며, 그 날개들이 성전 한가운데서 서로 맞닿았습니다.
28 He overlaid the cherubim with gold.And he overlaid the cherubim with gold.그는 그룹들을 금으로 입혔습니다.
29 He carved all the walls of the house around with carved figures of cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers, inside and outside.And he carved all the walls of the house round about with carved figures of cherubim and palm-trees and open flowers, within and without.그는 성전 안팎 모든 벽에 그룹과 종려나무와 핀 꽃 모양을 새겼습니다.
30 He overlaid the floor of the house with gold, inside and outside.And the floor of the house he overlaid with gold, within and without.또 그는 성전 바닥도 안팎으로 금으로 입혔습니다.
31 For the entrance of the inner sanctuary, he made doors of olive wood. The lintel and door posts were a fifth part of the wall.And for the entrance of the oracle he made doors of olive-wood: the lintel and door-posts were a fifth part of the wall.지성소 입구에는 올리브 나무로 문들을 만들었는데, 상인방과 문설주는 벽의 오분의 일이었습니다.
32 So he made two doors of olive wood; and he carved on them carvings of cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers, and overlaid them with gold. He spread the gold on the cherubim and on the palm trees.So he made two doors of olive-wood; and he carved upon them carvings of cherubim and palm-trees and open flowers, and overlaid them with gold; and he spread the gold upon the cherubim, and upon the palm-trees.그는 올리브 나무로 두 문짝을 만들고, 그 위에 그룹과 종려나무와 핀 꽃 모양을 새긴 뒤 금으로 입혔으며, 그룹과 종려나무 위에 금을 입혔습니다.
33 He also made the entrance of the temple door posts of olive wood, out of a fourth part of the wall,So also made he for the entrance of the temple door-posts of olive-wood, out of a fourth part of the wall;본당 입구에도 그는 올리브 나무로 문설주를 만들었는데, 벽의 사분의 일이었습니다.
34 and two doors of cypress wood. The two leaves of the one door were folding, and the two leaves of the other door were folding.and two doors of fir-wood: the two leaves of the one door were folding, and the two leaves of the other door were folding.또 잣나무로 두 문을 만들었는데, 한 문의 두 짝이 접히고, 다른 문의 두 짝도 접혔습니다.
35 He carved cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers; and he overlaid them with gold fitted on the engraved work.And he carved thereon cherubim and palm-trees and open flowers; and he overlaid them with gold fitted upon the graven work.그는 그 위에 그룹과 종려나무와 핀 꽃 모양을 새기고, 새긴 무늬에 맞추어 금을 입혔습니다.
36 He built the inner court with three courses of cut stone and a course of cedar beams.And he built the inner court with three courses of hewn stone, and a course of cedar beams.그는 다듬은 돌 세 켜와 백향목 들보 한 켜로 안뜰을 쌓았습니다.
37 The foundation of Yahweh’s house was laid in the fourth year, in the month Ziv.In the fourth year was the foundation of the house of Jehovah laid, in the month Ziv.사 년째 되던 해 시브월에 여호와의 성전 기초가 놓였고,
38 In the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, the house was finished throughout all its parts and according to all its specifications. So he spent seven years building it.And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, was the house finished throughout all the parts thereof, and according to all the fashion of it. So was he seven years in building it.십일 년째 되던 해 여덟째 달인 불월에 성전이 모든 부분과 설계대로 완성되었습니다. 이렇게 그는 칠 년 동안 성전을 지었습니다.
