3 The king of Israel said to his servants, “ You know that Ramoth Gilead is ours, and we do nothing, and don’t take it out of the hand of the king of Syria?”And the king of Israel said unto his servants, Know ye that Ramoth-gilead is ours, and we are still, and take it not out of the hand of the king of Syria?이스라엘 왕이 자기 신하들에게 말했다. 4 He said to Jehoshaphat, “ Will you go with me to battle to Ramoth Gilead?” Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, “ I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses.”And he said unto Jehoshaphat, Wilt thou go with me to battle to Ramoth-gilead? And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, I am as thou art, my people as thy people, my horses as thy horses.그가 여호사밧에게 말했다. "나와 함께 길르앗 라못으로 싸우러 가시겠습니까?" 여호사밧이 이스라엘 왕에게 대답했다. 5 Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, “ Please inquire first for Yahweh’s word.”And Jehoshaphat said unto the king of Israel, Inquire first, I pray thee, for the word of Jehovah.여호사밧이 이스라엘 왕에게 말했다. "청컨대 먼저 여호와의 말씀을 여쭈어 보십시오."

6 Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, about four hundred men, and said to them, “ Should I go against Ramoth Gilead to battle, or should I refrain?” They said, “ Go up; for the Lord will deliver it into the hand of the king.”Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, about four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall I go against Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I forbear? 7 But Jehoshaphat said, “Isn’t there here a prophet of Yahweh, that we may inquire of him?”But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of Jehovah besides, that we may inquire of him?그러나 여호사밧이 말했다. "여기 우리가 여쭈어 볼 여호와의 선지자가 따로 없습니까?"

8 The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “ There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of Yahweh, Micaiah the son of Imlah; but I hate him, for he does not prophesy good concerning me, but evil.” Jehoshaphat said, “Don’t let the king say so.”And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of Jehovah, Micaiah the son of Imlah: but I hate him; for he doth not prophesy good concerning me, but evil. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.이스라엘 왕이 여호사밧에게 말했다. "우리가 여호와께 여쭈어 볼 사람이 아직 하나 있는데, 이믈라의 아들 미가야입니다. 그러나 나는 그를 미워합니다. 그가 나에 관해서는 좋은 것을 예언하지 않고 늘 나쁜 것만 예언하기 때문입니다." 여호사밧이 말했다. 11 Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made himself horns of iron, and said, “ Yahweh says, ‘ With these you will push the Syrians, until they are consumed.’”And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made him horns of iron, and said, Thus saith Jehovah, With these shalt thou push the Syrians, until they be consumed.그나아나의 아들 시드기야가 자기를 위해 쇠뿔들을 만들어 말했다. "여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하십니다. '너는 이것들로 아람 사람들을 들이받아 그들을 진멸할 것이다.'"

12 All the prophets prophesied so, saying, “ Go up to Ramoth Gilead and prosper; for Yahweh will deliver it into the hand of the king.”And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramoth-gilead, and prosper; for Jehovah will deliver it into the hand of the king.모든 선지자들도 그와 같이 예언하며 말했다. "길르앗 라못으로 올라가셔서 승리하십시오. 여호와께서 그곳을 왕의 손에 넘겨주실 것입니다."

13 The messenger who went to call Micaiah spoke to him, saying, “ See now, the prophets declare good to the king with one mouth. Please let your word be like the word of one of them, and speak good.”And the messenger that went to call Micaiah spake unto him, saying, Behold now, the words of the prophets declare good unto the king with one mouth: let thy word, I pray thee, be like the word of one of them, and speak thou good.미가야를 부르러 간 심부름꾼이 그에게 말했다. "보십시오, 이제 선지자들이 한입으로 왕에게 좋은 일을 알리고 있습니다. 청컨대 당신의 말도 그들 중 하나의 말처럼 하여 좋은 것을 말씀하십시오."

14 Micaiah said, “ As Yahweh lives, what Yahweh says to me, that I will speak.”And Micaiah said, As Jehovah liveth, what Jehovah saith unto me, that will I speak.미가야가 말했다. "여호와께서 살아 계심을 두고 맹세하건대, 여호와께서 내게 말씀하시는 것, 그것을 내가 말하겠소."

15 When he had come to the king, the king said to him, “ Micaiah, shall we go to Ramoth Gilead to battle, or shall we forbear?” He answered him, “ Go up and prosper; and Yahweh will deliver it into the hand of the king.”And when he was come to the king, the king said unto him, Micaiah, shall we go to Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall we forbear? And he answered him, Go up and prosper; and Jehovah will deliver it into the hand of the king.그가 왕에게 이르니 왕이 그에게 물었다. "미가야야, 우리가 길르앗 라못으로 싸우러 가야 하겠느냐, 아니면 그만두어야 하겠느냐?" 그가 왕에게 대답했다. "올라가셔서 승리하십시오. 여호와께서 그곳을 왕의 손에 넘겨주실 것입니다."

16 The king said to him, “ How many times do I have to adjure you that you speak to me nothing but the truth in Yahweh’s name?”And the king said unto him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou speak unto me nothing but the truth in the name of Jehovah?왕이 그에게 말했다. "내가 몇 번이나 너에게 맹세시켜야 하겠느냐? 여호와의 이름으로 오직 진실만을 내게 말하여라."

17 He said, “ I saw all Israel scattered on the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd. Yahweh said, ‘ These have no master. Let them each return to his house in peace.’”And he said, I saw all Israel scattered upon the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd: and Jehovah said, These have no master; let them return every man to his house in peace.미가야가 말했다. "내가 보니 온 이스라엘이 목자 없는 양 떼처럼 산들 위에 흩어져 있었습니다. 그리고 여호와께서 말씀하셨습니다. '이들에게 주인이 없으니, 각자 평안히 자기 집으로 돌아가게 하여라.'"

18 The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “Didn’t I tell you that he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil?”And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee that he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil?이스라엘 왕이 여호사밧에게 말했다. "저 사람이 나에 관해 좋은 것은 예언하지 않고 나쁜 것만 예언할 것이라고 내가 당신에게 말하지 않았습니까?"

19 Micaiah said, “ Therefore hear Yahweh’s word. I saw Yahweh sitting on his throne, and all the army of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left.And Micaiah said, Therefore hear thou the word of Jehovah: I saw Jehovah sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left.미가야가 말했다. "그러므로 여호와의 말씀을 들으십시오. 내가 보니 여호와께서 자기 보좌에 앉아 계셨고, 하늘의 온 군대가 그분의 오른쪽과 왼쪽에 서 있었습니다.

20 Yahweh said, ‘ Who will entice Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramoth Gilead?’ One said one thing, and another said another.And Jehovah said, Who shall entice Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramoth-gilead? And one said on this manner; and another said on that manner.여호와께서 말씀하셨습니다. '누가 아합을 꾀어 그가 올라가 길르앗 라못에서 쓰러지게 하겠느냐?' 그러자 하나는 이렇게 말하고, 또 하나는 저렇게 말했습니다.

21 A spirit came out and stood before Yahweh, and said, ‘ I will entice him.’And there came forth a spirit, and stood before Jehovah, and said, I will entice him.한 영이 나와서 여호와 앞에 서서 말했습니다. '제가 그를 꾀겠습니다.'

22 Yahweh said to him, ‘ How?’ He said, ‘ I will go out and will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ He said, ‘ You will entice him, and will also prevail. Go out and do so.’And Jehovah said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt entice him, and shalt prevail also: go forth, and do so.여호와께서 그에게 물으셨습니다. '어떻게 하겠느냐?' 그가 대답했습니다. '제가 나가서 그의 모든 선지자들의 입에 거짓말하는 영이 되겠습니다.' 여호와께서 말씀하셨습니다. '너는 그를 꾀어내겠고 또한 이기리라. 나가서 그렇게 하여라.'

23 Now therefore, behold, Yahweh has put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these your prophets; and Yahweh has spoken evil concerning you.”Now therefore, behold, Jehovah hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets; and Jehovah hath spoken evil concerning thee.그러므로 이제 보십시오, 여호와께서 이 모든 당신의 선지자들의 입에 거짓말하는 영을 두셨고, 여호와께서 당신에 관해 재앙을 말씀하셨습니다."

24 Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near and struck Micaiah on the cheek, and said, “ Which way did Yahweh’s Spirit go from me to speak to you?”Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near, and smote Micaiah on the cheek, and said, Which way went the Spirit of Jehovah from me to speak unto thee?그러자 그나아나의 아들 시드기야가 가까이 와서 미가야의 뺨을 치며 말했다. "여호와의 영이 어느 길로 나를 떠나 너에게 가서 말씀하셨느냐?"

25 Micaiah said, “ Behold, you will see on that day when you go into an inner room to hide yourself.”And Micaiah said, Behold, thou shalt see on that day, when thou shalt go into an inner chamber to hide thyself.미가야가 말했다. "보라, 네가 골방으로 들어가 숨는 그날에 그것을 보게 될 것이다."

26 The king of Israel said, “ Take Micaiah, and carry him back to Amon the governor of the city and to Joash the king’s son.And the king of Israel said, Take Micaiah, and carry him back unto Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king’s son;이스라엘 왕이 말했다. "미가야를 잡아서 성주 아몬과 왕자 요아스에게 도로 데려가거라.

27 Say, ‘ The king says, “ Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I come in peace.”’”and say, Thus saith the king, Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I come in peace.그리고 말하여라. '왕께서 이렇게 말씀하셨소. 이 자를 옥에 가두고, 내가 평안히 돌아올 때까지 고난의 빵과 고난의 물을 먹이라.'"

28 Micaiah said, “If you return at all in peace, Yahweh has not spoken by me.” He said, “ Listen, all you people!”And Micaiah said, If thou return at all in peace, Jehovah hath not spoken by me. And he said, Hear, ye peoples, all of you.미가야가 말했다. "만일 왕이 정말 평안히 돌아오신다면, 여호와께서 나를 통해 말씀하지 않으신 것이오." 그리고 그가 말했다. "백성들이여, 모두 들으시오!"

29 So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramoth Gilead.So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramoth-gilead.그래서 이스라엘 왕과 유다 왕 여호사밧이 길르앗 라못으로 올라갔다.

30 The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “ I will disguise myself and go into the battle, but you put on your robes.” The king of Israel disguised himself and went into the battle.And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, I will disguise myself, and go into the battle; but put thou on thy robes. And the king of Israel disguised himself, and went into the battle.이스라엘 왕이 여호사밧에게 말했다. "나는 변장하고 싸움터에 들어가겠으니, 왕은 왕복을 입으십시오." 이스라엘 왕은 변장하고 싸움터로 들어갔다.

31 Now the king of Syria had commanded the thirty-two captains of his chariots, saying, “Don’t fight with small nor great, except only with the king of Israel.”Now the king of Syria had commanded the thirty and two captains of his chariots, saying, Fight neither with small nor great, save only with the king of Israel.그런데 아람 왕은 자기 병거 지휘관 서른두 명에게 명령하여 말했다. "작은 자나 큰 자와도 싸우지 말고, 오직 이스라엘 왕하고만 싸우라."

32 When the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, they said, “ Surely that is the king of Israel!” and they came over to fight against him. Jehoshaphat cried out.And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, Surely it is the king of Israel; and they turned aside to fight against him: and Jehoshaphat cried out.병거 지휘관들이 여호사밧을 보고 "저 사람이 틀림없이 이스라엘 왕이다!" 하고 그를 치려고 돌아섰다. 그러자 여호사밧이 부르짖었다.

33 When the captains of the chariots saw that it was not the king of Israel, they turned back from pursuing him.And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw that it was not the king of Israel, that they turned back from pursuing him.병거 지휘관들이 그가 이스라엘 왕이 아닌 것을 보고 그를 쫓다가 돌아섰다.

34 A certain man drew his bow at random, and struck the king of Israel between the joints of the armor. Therefore he said to the driver of his chariot, “ Turn around, and carry me out of the battle, for I am severely wounded.”And a certain man drew his bow at a venture, and smote the king of Israel between the joints of the armor: wherefore he said unto the driver of his chariot, Turn thy hand, and carry me out of the host; for I am sore wounded.그런데 한 사람이 무심코 활을 당겼는데, 그 화살이 이스라엘 왕의 갑옷 솔기 사이에 맞았다. 그래서 왕이 자기 병거를 모는 자에게 말했다. "네 손을 돌려 나를 싸움터에서 빼내어라. 내가 심하게 부상을 입었다."

35 The battle increased that day. The king was propped up in his chariot facing the Syrians, and died at evening. The blood ran out of the wound into the bottom of the chariot.And the battle increased that day: and the king was stayed up in his chariot against the Syrians, and died at even; and the blood ran out of the wound into the bottom of the chariot.그날 싸움이 격렬해졌다. 왕은 아람 사람들을 향한 채로 자기 병거 안에 버티어 세워졌고, 저녁때에 죽었다. 상처에서 흘러나온 피가 병거 바닥에 고였다.

36 A cry went throughout the army about the going down of the sun, saying, “ Every man to his city, and every man to his country!”And there went a cry throughout the host about the going down of the sun, saying, Every man to his city, and every man to his country.해 질 무렵 군대 안에 외침이 퍼져 나갔다. 38 They washed the chariot by the pool of Samaria; and the dogs licked up his blood where the prostitutes washed themselves, according to Yahweh’s word which he spoke.And they washed the chariot by the pool of Samaria; and the dogs licked up his blood ( now the harlots washed themselves there ); according unto the word of Jehovah which he spake.사람들이 사마리아 못가에서 그 병거를 씻었는데, 창녀들이 몸을 씻던 그곳에서 개들이 그의 피를 핥았다. 여호와께서 하신 말씀대로였다.

39 Now the rest of the acts of Ahab, and all that he did, and the ivory house which he built, and all the cities that he built, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?Now the rest of the acts of Ahab, and all that he did, and the ivory house which he built, and all the cities that he built, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?아합의 나머지 행적과 그가 행한 모든 일, 그가 지은 상아 궁과 그가 세운 모든 성읍들은 이스라엘 왕들의 역대지략에 기록되어 있지 않은가?

42 Jehoshaphat was thirty-five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty-five years in Jerusalem. 43 He walked in all the way of Asa his father. He didn’t turn away from it, doing that which was right in Yahweh’s eyes. However, the high places were not taken away. The people still sacrificed and burned incense on the high places.And he walked in all the way of Asa his father; he turned not aside from it, doing that which was right in the eyes of Jehovah: howbeit the high places were not taken away; the people still sacrificed and burnt incense in the high places.그는 자기 아버지 아사의 모든 길로 걸으며 거기서 떠나지 않고, 여호와께서 보시기에 옳은 일을 행했다. 그러나 산당들은 헐어 내지 않아서, 백성이 여전히 산당에서 제사를 드리며 분향했다.

44 Jehoshaphat made peace with the king of Israel.And Jehoshaphat made peace with the king of Israel.여호사밧은 이스라엘 왕과 화친했다.

49 Then Ahaziah the son of Ahab said to Jehoshaphat, “ Let my servants go with your servants in the ships.” But Jehoshaphat would not.Then said Ahaziah the son of Ahab unto Jehoshaphat, Let my servants go with thy servants in the ships. But Jehoshaphat would not.그때 아합의 아들 아하시야가 여호사밧에게 말했다. "내 신하들을 당신의 신하들과 함께 배에 태워 보내게 하십시오." 그러나 여호사밧은 그렇게 하지 않았다.

50 Jehoshaphat slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in his father David’s city. 52 He did that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight, and walked in the way of his father, and in the way of his mother, and in the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, in which he made Israel to sin.And he did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah, and walked in the way of his father, and in the way of his mother, and in the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, wherein he made Israel to sin.그는 여호와께서 보시기에 악한 일을 행하며, 자기 아버지의 길과 자기 어머니의 길과 이스라엘로 죄를 짓게 한 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 길로 걸었다.

53 He served Baal and worshiped him, and provoked Yahweh, the God of Israel, to anger in all the ways that his father had done so.And he served Baal, and worshipped him, and provoked to anger Jehovah, the God of Israel, according to all that his father had done.그는 바알을 섬기고 그에게 경배하여, 자기 아버지가 행한 모든 것을 따라 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와를 진노하시게 했다.
