1 When Solomon had finished the building of Yahweh’s house, the king’s house, and all Solomon’s desire which he was pleased to do,And it came to pass, when Solomon had finished the building of the house of Jehovah, and the king’s house, and all Solomon’s desire which he was pleased to do,솔로몬이 여호와의 성전과 왕궁을 짓고, 자기가 하고 싶어 하던 모든 일을 다 마쳤을 때에,
2 Yahweh appeared to Solomon the second time, as he had appeared to him at Gibeon.that Jehovah appeared to Solomon the second time, as he had appeared unto him at Gibeon.여호와께서 전에 기브온에서 그에게 나타나셨던 것처럼 두 번째로 솔로몬에게 나타나셨다.
3 Yahweh said to him, “ I have heard your prayer and your supplication that you have made before me. I have made this house holy, which you have built, to put my name there forever; and my eyes and my heart shall be there perpetually.And Jehovah said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and my heart shall be there perpetually.여호와께서 그에게 말씀하셨다. "나는 네가 내 앞에서 드린 기도와 간구를 들었다. 네가 지은 이 성전을 내가 거룩하게 하여, 내 이름을 그곳에 영원히 두었다. 내 눈과 내 마음이 항상 그곳에 있을 것이다.
4 As for you, if you will walk before me as David your father walked, in integrity of heart and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded you, and will keep my statutes and my ordinances,And as for thee, if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and mine ordinances;너로 말하면, 네 아버지 다윗이 그리하였던 것처럼 네가 마음의 순전함과 올바름으로 내 앞에서 행하여, 내가 너에게 명령한 모든 것을 따라 행하고 내 율례와 내 법도를 지키면,
5 then I will establish the throne of your kingdom over Israel forever, as I promised to David your father, saying, ‘ There shall not fail from you a man on the throne of Israel.’then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom over Israel for ever, according as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.내가 네 아버지 다윗에게 '이스라엘의 왕좌에 앉을 사람이 너에게서 끊어지지 않을 것이다' 하고 약속한 대로, 이스라엘을 다스리는 네 나라의 왕좌를 영원히 굳게 세우겠다.
6 But if you turn away from following me, you or your children, and not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods and worship them,But if ye shall turn away from following me, ye or your children, and not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but shall go and serve other gods, and worship them;그러나 만일 너희나 너희 자손이 나를 따르기를 돌이켜, 내가 너희 앞에 둔 내 계명과 율례를 지키지 않고, 가서 다른 신들을 섬기며 그들에게 절하면,
7 then I will cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and I will cast this house, which I have made holy for my name, out of my sight; and Israel will be a proverb and a byword among all peoples.then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all peoples.내가 그들에게 준 땅에서 이스라엘을 끊어 버리고, 내가 내 이름을 위하여 거룩하게 한 이 성전을 내 앞에서 던져 버리겠다. 그리하면 이스라엘은 모든 민족 가운데 속담거리와 조롱거리가 될 것이다.
8 Though this house is so high, yet everyone who passes by it will be astonished and hiss; and they will say, ‘ Why has Yahweh done this to this land and to this house?’And though this house is so high, yet shall every one that passeth by it be astonished, and shall hiss; and they shall say, Why hath Jehovah done thus unto this land, and to this house?이 성전이 이렇게 높이 솟아 있어도, 그 곁을 지나는 사람마다 놀라서 비웃으며 '여호와께서 어찌하여 이 땅과 이 성전에 이렇게 하셨는가?' 하고 말할 것이다.
9 and they will answer, ‘ Because they abandoned Yahweh their God, who brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and embraced other gods, and worshiped them, and served them. Therefore Yahweh has brought all this evil on them.’”and they shall answer, Because they forsook Jehovah their God, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and laid hold on other gods, and worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath Jehovah brought all this evil upon them.그러면 사람들이 대답하기를 '그들이 자기 조상을 이집트 땅에서 인도해 내신 여호와 자기들의 하나님을 저버리고, 다른 신들을 붙잡아 그들에게 절하고 섬겼기 때문이다. 그래서 여호와께서 이 모든 재앙을 그들에게 내리신 것이다' 할 것이다."
10 At the end of twenty years, in which Solomon had built the two houses, Yahweh’s house and the king’s houseAnd it came to pass at the end of twenty years, wherein Solomon had built the two houses, the house of Jehovah and the king’s house솔로몬이 두 건물, 곧 여호와의 성전과 왕궁을 짓는 데 이십 년이 지났을 때에,
11 ( now Hiram the king of Tyre had furnished Solomon with cedar trees and cypress trees, and with gold, according to all his desire ), King Solomon gave Hiram twenty cities in the land of Galilee.( now Hiram the king of Tyre had furnished Solomon with cedar-trees and fir-trees, and with gold, according to all his desire ), that then king Solomon gave Hiram twenty cities in the land of Galilee.(두로 왕 히람이 솔로몬에게 백향목과 잣나무와 금을 그가 원하는 대로 다 공급해 주었으므로) 그때에 솔로몬 왕이 갈릴리 땅에 있는 성읍 스무 개를 히람에게 주었다.
12 Hiram came out of Tyre to see the cities which Solomon had given him; and they didn’t please him.And Hiram came out from Tyre to see the cities which Solomon had given him; and they pleased him not.히람이 두로에서 나와, 솔로몬이 자기에게 준 성읍들을 보았으나, 그것들이 그의 마음에 들지 않았다.
13 He said, “ What cities are these which you have given me, my brother?” He called them the land of Cabul to this day.And he said, What cities are these which thou hast given me, my brother? And he called them the land of Cabul unto this day.그가 말하였다. "내 형제여, 그대가 나에게 준 이 성읍들이 무엇이오?" 그래서 그는 그 땅을 가불 땅이라고 불렀으며, 그 이름이 오늘날까지 이른다.
14 Hiram sent to the king one hundred twenty talents of gold.And Hiram sent to the king sixscore talents of gold.히람이 왕에게 금 백이십 달란트를 보냈다.
15 This is the reason of the forced labor which King Solomon conscripted: to build Yahweh’s house, his own house, Millo, Jerusalem’s wall, Hazor, Megiddo, and Gezer.And this is the reason of the levy which king Solomon raised, to build the house of Jehovah, and his own house, and Millo, and the wall of Jerusalem, and Hazor, and Megiddo, and Gezer.솔로몬 왕이 여호와의 성전과 자기 궁전과 밀로와 예루살렘 성벽과 하솔과 므깃도와 게셀을 지으려고 부역꾼을 일으킨 이유는 이러하다.
16 Pharaoh king of Egypt had gone up, taken Gezer, burned it with fire, killed the Canaanites who lived in the city, and given it for a wedding gift to his daughter, Solomon’s wife.Pharaoh king of Egypt had gone up, and taken Gezer, and burnt it with fire, and slain the Canaanites that dwelt in the city, and given it for a portion unto his daughter, Solomon’s wife.이집트 왕 바로가 올라와 게셀을 빼앗고, 불로 그곳을 사르고, 그 성읍에 살던 가나안 사람들을 죽인 뒤에, 그 성읍을 자기 딸인 솔로몬의 아내에게 예물로 주었었다.
17 Solomon built in the land Gezer, Beth Horon the lower,And Solomon built Gezer, and Beth-horon the nether,그래서 솔로몬은 게셀과 아래 벧호론을 지었고,
18 Baalath, Tamar in the wilderness,and Baalath, and Tamar in the wilderness, in the land,또 바알랏과, 그 땅 광야에 있는 다말을 지었으며,
19 all the storage cities that Solomon had, the cities for his chariots, the cities for his horsemen, and that which Solomon desired to build for his pleasure in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.and all the store-cities that Solomon had, and the cities for his chariots, and the cities for his horsemen, and that which Solomon desired to build for his pleasure in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.솔로몬에게 있던 모든 창고 성읍과, 병거를 두는 성읍과, 기병을 두는 성읍과, 예루살렘과 레바논과 자기가 다스리는 온 땅에서 솔로몬이 즐겨 짓고자 한 것을 다 지었다.
20 As for all the people who were left of the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, who were not of the children of Israel —As for all the people that were left of the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, who were not of the children of Israel;이스라엘 자손이 아닌 아모리 사람과 헷 사람과 브리스 사람과 히위 사람과 여부스 사람 가운데 남아 있던 모든 백성,
21 their children who were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel were not able utterly to destroy — of them Solomon raised a levy of bondservants to this day.their children that were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel were not able utterly to destroy, of them did Solomon raise a levy of bondservants unto this day.곧 이스라엘 자손이 다 멸하지 못하여 그 땅에 남아 있던 그들의 자손에게서, 솔로몬은 부역하는 종을 일으켰으며, 그것이 오늘날까지 이른다.
22 But of the children of Israel Solomon made no bondservants; but they were the men of war, his servants, his princes, his captains, and rulers of his chariots and of his horsemen.But of the children of Israel did Solomon make no bondservants; but they were the men of war, and his servants, and his princes, and his captains, and rulers of his chariots and of his horsemen.그러나 솔로몬은 이스라엘 자손은 종으로 삼지 않았다. 그들은 군사와 신하와 고관과 지휘관과 병거대와 기병대의 우두머리가 되었다.
23 These were the five hundred fifty chief officers who were over Solomon’s work, who ruled over the people who labored in the work.These were the chief officers that were over Solomon’s work, five hundred and fifty, who bare rule over the people that wrought in the work.솔로몬의 공사를 감독하는 우두머리 관리는 오백오십 명이었으며, 그들이 일하는 백성을 다스렸다.
24 But Pharaoh’s daughter came up out of David’s city to her house which Solomon had built for her. Then he built Millo.But Pharaoh’s daughter came up out of the city of David unto her house which Solomon had built for her: then did he build Millo.바로의 딸이 다윗 성에서 올라와 솔로몬이 그를 위하여 지은 자기 집으로 옮겨 간 뒤에, 솔로몬이 밀로를 지었다.
25 Solomon offered burnt offerings and peace offerings on the altar which he built to Yahweh three times per year, burning incense with them on the altar that was before Yahweh. So he finished the house.And three times in a year did Solomon offer burnt-offerings and peace-offerings upon the altar which he built unto Jehovah, burning incense therewith, upon the altar that was before Jehovah. So he finished the house.솔로몬은 일 년에 세 번씩 자기가 여호와께 쌓은 제단 위에 번제와 화목제를 드리고, 여호와 앞에 있는 제단 위에서 향을 살랐다. 이렇게 하여 그는 성전 짓는 일을 마쳤다.
26 King Solomon made a fleet of ships in Ezion Geber, which is beside Eloth, on the shore of the Red Sea, in the land of Edom.And king Solomon made a navy of ships in Ezion-geber, which is beside Eloth, on the shore of the Red Sea, in the land of Edom.솔로몬 왕은 에돔 땅 홍해 바닷가, 엘롯 곁에 있는 에시온게벨에서 배들을 만들었다.
27 Hiram sent in the fleet his servants, sailors who had knowledge of the sea, with the servants of Solomon.And Hiram sent in the navy his servants, shipmen that had knowledge of the sea, with the servants of Solomon.히람이 바다에 익숙한 뱃사람인 자기 신하들을 솔로몬의 신하들과 함께 그 배에 보냈다.
28 They came to Ophir, and fetched from there gold, four hundred and twenty talents, and brought it to King Solomon.And they came to Ophir, and fetched from thence gold, four hundred and twenty talents, and brought it to king Solomon.그들이 오빌에 이르러 그곳에서 금 사백이십 달란트를 가져다가 솔로몬 왕에게 바쳤다.
